    The best damn Benedict

Such a cute little diner. The servers were super, super friendly and even knew my friends orders when we arrived. The food was tasty, the plates huge, and the price so affordable! I could not recommend this diner enough!

I've been wanting to try Pinky's for months! Last time I tried, there was a 45 minute wait so we opted to go somewhere else. Today we were told about 20 minutes so we decided to hang out. I did not realize how small the place was - they really can only accommodate around 20 people at a time, including the bar + outside's first come first serve seating. We were not told outside was first come first serve, otherwise we would have sat down immediately. We waited about 40 minutes for a table before we were seated. The slow turnaround on tables is not because of service or the kitchen, it's simply because there are so few tables inside that if a party hangs out for awhile after they've paid it makes a huge difference. My friend and I were ready to order almost immediately and both got different versions of the basic breakfast. I opted to not get toast, but it would have been an upcharge to substitute it for anything else. I always hate this about breakfast places, but it wasn't the end of the world. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered my eggs over easy and they were more medium, but once again, not the end of the world. The bacon was delicious and the potatoes weren't too greasy or heavy. It was a nice portion of food and I ate every last bite. I'm a pretty small person though, so I imagine what I ordered may not be enough food for most. Overall, it's a solid classic breakfast joint. Just go early on a weekend or expect to wait!

While in Tampa, we were looking for a place to have breakfast. Wow did we ever strike gold. This is definitely the spot to stop for having breakfast. Walking and it was a very cute little place. We were handed a menu in seated quickly. I had to special of the day, which was an omelette with smoked sausage, jalapeños, tomatoes, and cheese! Why did this thing have a ton of flavor! The staff was very friendly, and we're glad we stopped there! If ever back in Tampa, I know where we're having breakfast!

Looks like the outside seating is first come, first serve. This couple came with their dog after us and was seated right away. Hmm. Hostess didn't even bother asking if we would like to sit outside instead of waiting for a table inside. Not a good process set up for seating at all. The hostess (Atlantic ocean blue t-shirt and pony tail) told me the outside is first come first served. I asked how I was supposed to know that. She said she crossed my name off because she thought the couple with the dog was Nicole. Helps to ask and confirm. She said they got the outside table because they have a dog. I said they came after us, she said it's first come first served, exactly my point. Off to a rough start already at Pinky's this morning. No worries, we just had an extra hour wait or so because the hostess didn't ask the parties in front about the open outside table. She finally offered us the outside table next to the couple that took the outside table ahead of us with their dog. I said I would prefer the inside table since I didn't want to be outside right next to the couple and my husband wanted to be inside with the AC. Hangry is setting in. Their menu is appealing to my husband. Irritated beyond words. There was sadly a large group of 9 guys ahead of us and a group of 4, that would no doubt take up several tables in their small space. My stomach went dormant after the long wait and nothing on the menu sounded good after the ridiculously long wait for a seat. We saw a couple that were right in front of us with a small kid leave right before we were finally called to sit down. That's bad. There's only about 5 or so tables inside, 7 stools at the bar and 4 tables on their patio. The hostess is unfortunately our waitress inside, she never once apologized for the seating snafu. She went on about the specials, breakfast burrito wiry chorizo and a scrambled egg with chorizo and super veggie frittata with all available veggies. We ordered the goat cheese scramble with wheat toast and jalapeño cheese grits an hour after our arrival and a super veggie frittata with fruit and 7 grain toast and a coffee with oat milk in it. No waters on our tables after 10 minutes. I had to ask someone else to bring us some water to the table. The other staffer ended up bringing us the Jamaican coffee we ordered 10 minutes ago as well. She brought it out in less than a minute. Here we thought they were making my husband a special coffee behind the counter. It was literally pouring the Jamaican roast coffee from the carafe and a side of creamer. A job our waitress wasn't able to manage. The hostess should not have the job of waiting on tables and checking on seating, she's not good at either job. I think she's overwhelmed and she's not organized to take care of her customers well and she's not cognizant of her lack of attention as being rude at all. The food is finally out after 25 minutes. The grits tastes good, just a tad hard, the corn meal. Good flavor though. The goat cheese scramble is tasty. My husband felt this place really needs to work on burning and turning over tables quicker. There's a lot of things this place needs to work on to be better. The super veggie is so-so, it's bland. The 7 grain is really really dry. The wheat toast was okay. Our waitress brought us the bill, never did get the side of avocado that was ordered. I asked her about and she then apologized for the first time this visit.

We came by after seeing all the great reviews. It is a very small eating area but full of character. We sat at a two top by the kitchen. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about menu. We ordered veggie frittata with cuban toast and cheddar jalapeño grits and breakfast burrito with chorizo and a chocolate chip pancake. We also had the Jamaican me crazy coffee and the bold coffee. I really liked the frittata because they did not put green peppers in it. The burrito was also very good but we both agreed the cheddar jalapeño grits were the best! The coffee was nice and smooth and we could drink it with our sugar The bathrooms were clean and the service was great. A great little breakfast place

This is a small and cozy restaurant in South Tampa . I ordered the pancakes with strawberry but did not realise the strawberry would be cooked into the pancake - I thought it would be more of a topping. The breakfast was standard breakfast ... nothing special about the food to boast about.

South Carolina Grits in Tampa! Can't beat it. Delicious food and even better service. A new local fav! So good and nice cozy seating as well. Smaller spot makes it feel more personal.

Was looking for a breakfast spot to eat at. Found Pinky's and it wasn't bad. Customer service was quick. They are very busy. It wasn't bad but don't get that many options. The atmosphere was nice with good music. Come try and give them more reviews.

I pass Pinky's nearly every day but had never made my way in until today. The outside is a bit underwhelming and easy to ignore but be on the lookout for it because the food was well-priced and delicious. I dined in for breakfast and enjoyed an iced coffee with a pancake, egg and sausage breakfast for $17 and some change pre-tip. The menu had some cool options like a pancake breakfast sandwich and breakfast sandwiches made on cuban toast. They even offered breakfast specials: today's was a strawberry french toast made from cuban bread and topped with fresh strawberry purée, and a version of eggs Benedict that came with turkey sausage and a tomato and herb hollandaise. Having dined there, I am disappointed that I waited so many years before giving it a try. Definitely do not sleep on this place!! Note that they are only open Thursday-Sunday. They do offer covered outdoor seating which is nice but I feel like our server forgot about us at times since we sat outside.

Pinky's is a local breakfast spot that is open Thursday-Sunday. The service is great! They have great coffee, sandwiches and breakfast. We split a Cuban and home fries with rosemary. The server remembered my local friend and was warm and friendly. They have sone unique opens and also have both indoor and outdoor seating. You won't be disappointed!

Today was my first time at Pinky's. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. We were seated immediately and they were on a wait shortly after. We had the pressed Cuban with bacon and scrambled eggs, a fruit cup, and the blueberry oatmeal pancakes with a side of the chefs special smoked bacon. The bacon was FANTASTIC, the fruit was fresh, the Cuban was lightly toasted. The only way it could have been better was adding a tad more bacon.

Went here for brunch the first time ever and it happened to be on Easter. They were open till 1pm so we barely made it lol. It was such a cute little place with quick and friendly service :) I had the Oatmeal pancakes with blueberries and strawberries on top. The server mentioned that I should try it with the strawberries baked in next time. And yes there will be a next time! The pancakes were perfect. Delicious and fluffy! I also had the Classic Benedict and all I did was add some hot sauce, salt and pepper and they were good to go! The hollandaise was nice and creamy and it's made in house. We added some chefs bacon and it is a must have! It's thick and crispy but also perfectly meaty and juicy. If that makes sense lol. They have $3 bottomless coffee as well and their coffee is great. I added a Jamaican hazelnut something or other flavour additive I believe or that was the flavour of the coffee. I can't remember haha. Can't wait to come back and try more items. Thanks Pinky's!

Great little spot in south Tampa for breakfast or brunch. Outside of the normal hotspots, this quiet cafe is a breath of fresh air, plus there seem to be new menu items each time I go

Fair warning: this place has two personalities -- a restaurant side and a much louder dance-party side that share the same building. We opted for the restaurant side, which was surprisingly not busy despite the earliest reservation we could get being 7:30pm on a weeknight. The menu blends classic soul food (fried chicken, mac and cheese) with a strong New Orleans Creole influence -- gumbo, jambalaya, fried seafood, cornbread. Portions are enormous. We started with the deviled eggs ("D'Evils"), topped with fried chicken bites and lemon pepper dust -- excellent and surprisingly filling for just four halves. We also got the Nolia Clip, a vegan gumbo base loaded with fried shrimp, crabmeat, turkey sausage, and a full catfish filet -- essentially an entree-sized bowl on its own. For entrees, the fried chicken plate ("Let's Stay Together") was a standout -- moist chicken, crispy crust, great mac and cheese and collard greens, though the cornbread muffins were bland and watery-tasting. My jambalaya ("Burning Blues") turned out to be nearly identical in ingredients to the gumbo appetizer we'd already had, just a bit thicker and in a bigger portion -- worth knowing before you order both. We left with a full meal's worth of leftovers and zero room for dessert. Food quality was great across the board (minus the cornbread), and portions are a serious value. Service was the weak point -- slow to seat and slow table-side all night. Good pick if you're after soul food with Creole flair and don't mind a leisurely pace.

The other meal was their'Avocado Shrimp Toast', ANOTHER HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, ESPECIALLY for $18!! 2 small pieces of cold toasted bread, a THIN layer of avocado and ONE SHRIMP CUT IN 1/2 on each slice of bread. NOT A VALUE for $18. What made it worse was that my wife was NEVER offered or received a coffee refill. They DID constantly refill our waters and my Iced Tea. Service 4 Ambiance 5 Food 2 Overall 3

The Ahi tuna was absolutely delicious. I found the kale Caesar had a bit too much sauce, it tasted extra cheesy to me, so I think this Caesar sauce which is homemade has quite a bit of cheese in it for those of you who may not be big cheese fans.
