My family has been coming here since 1970...I was a kid...Met a friend and his wife from out of town...got there first asked to be seated my party was 15 minutes behind wanted to order a drink and appetizer...was told could not be seated until my party arrived...ok can I put my name on a list....Oh no reason I was told because the restaurant is not busy....Why not seat me then. My friend shows up they ask him my name...WTF?? We came to Pinnacle Peak because we saw all the rave reviews. To be honest, it was mediocre at best. We tried the cowboy, the burger, the rib and multiple other items on the menu. I was craving a steak, and finding family friendly activities for my son. Unfortunately "Trail Dust Town" wasn't open today, but we still walked around before dinner. Got a seat at 530p with no waiting, though it was busy by the time we left. I had a ribeye, my son had a hamburger. The salad was meh okay, and I enjoyed the beans but couldn't eat a whole bowl. The bread that came with was thicker and whiter than I am, which is saying a lot. Ribeye was great, perfectly cooked and seasoned, just what I wanted. Haven't been here in over 10 years and we came for date night. The salad had a lot of wilted lettuce in it and we both ended up night eating most of it. The beans were good but the bread lacked any flavor. I was excited for the meat but was so disappointed. My bf liked his steak however my ribs were not "fall off the bone" as the menu says, had no smoke flavor and didn't have a lot of bbq on it. They were very tough. Also wasn't a fan of the apple cobbler. Our waiter was nice and very friendly and attentive. We went at 4:30 on a Sunday right when they opened and were seated right away. It is hard to believe but it has been over 10 years since we have gone to PP. One of our son's family from out of state was visiting us and they wanted to go there to let our grandson experience the "cutting off tie" tradition which we had done with our other grandchildren over the years. I didn't look forward to the meal since our experiences there have been on a steady down hill trend. Happily this time, all our steaks came out cooked as ordered and tasty like in the "old days." The sides were about the same, OK but not great. Our server, Billy the Kid, was excellent. He added to our overall experience. After our last (not so good visit) to Pinnacle Peak steakhouse in 2022 we recieved a gift card in the mail offering a free dinner entrees for two people. Drinks not included. Therefore, after some time we decided to try our luck again. We presented the gift card to our waitress as the card instructed but she didn't recognize what it was so she had to take it to management to make sure it was valid. After it was validated we definitely saw a step up in service versus what we got before. Our food was brought out promptly, very little waiting, and we were constantly being checked on. Since the meal was free I decided to order the full rack of ribs and my boyfriend ordered the shredded beef plate with BBQ sauce. We also got 2 side salads and the usual beans and Texas toast. Overall our second experience definitely was better than the first time around. However the food itself was still not great. The beans, just like last time lacked flavor and the toast seemed a bit stale. The ribs were on the fattier side so a lot of it ended up getting tossed since it was all fat. My boyfriend said he did enjoy his shredded beef and extra side of sauteed mushrooms. Date 5/6/25 Time : 6:29 You "cook your ribs slow and low for over 16 hours 'cuz life is too short for tough ribs. We know they are ready to fall off the bone". Well, I ordered 1 FULL rack of ribs for $29.99 that must have been cooked slow and low for 36 hours because FALL OF THE BONE they DID NOT !!! I had a hard time cutting in between the bones to separate them. It was like dried hard pork jerky stuck to the bones !!! What a let down. I never send anything back to the kitchen when not satisfied, I look for homeless people especially ones with dogs to give left overs to. *Holy Smokin Butts on Broadway ribs really do fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. Brought the whole family here after graduation. It's a perfect place to bring a large group and kids. The service was quick. They bring out bread to start. Nothing out of the ordinary with the bread. It was just a thick Texas toast with a side of butter. We order 2 steaks and a rack of ribs. We honestly could've got one order of steak instead of two because the portions were large. I'm in town for a conference and was looking for a different place to try. I love bbq, so I ventured over to check it out. The restaurant is tucked in the back of a western themed town. There was a train ride and events happening, plus other businesses open too, however I only stopped at the steakhouse. The theme is western, so everyone is dressed in cowboy gear and it's a fun vibe. Service was perfect and staff is super friendly and attentive. The quality of the food is average and I was expecting something more authentic and unique. The beans were good though. I ordered the sliced brisket and it tasted like roast beef, which was fine, just not what I was expecting. I ate most of the food and took the rest back for leftovers. I think it's a unique place to go for the ambiance and would consider trying the steak next time to see if that has a more interesting flavor. read more

Tried Pinnacle Peak a few days ago. This is a pretty cool place, and it is located around several other stores and attractions. The wait to get in was pretty short, which was great. The server was great and very attentive. Since I'm on this kick of trying to find the best place for a ribeye, I, of course, ordered a medium-rare ribeye, salad, and baked potato. Our orders arrived quickly, and everything was just as ordered. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. I was able to cut through the steak with complete ease, and best of all, it had the best flavor of any ribeye I have ever eaten to date. The baked potato was extremely hot and perfectly cooked. All I had to do was add butter, sour cream, and pepper. The price of the ribeye was very reasonable, especially compared to another restaurant we went to to try their ribeye, which was very overpriced, as much as a two pound porterhouse and not quite as good. , If you are in the area of Pinnacle Peaks, I would strongly recommend that you try their food. For starters, the big cowboy was over a pound of meat. Both of the steaks were both served rare (we asked for rare and medium rare). Pinnacle peak is a unique and fun experience. Is it a world class restaurant? No. A top tier steakhouse? Also no. But it serves a decent, well priced meal within a old west experience that is worth the price of admission. Tucked in the middle of trail dust town pinnacle peak steakhouse has a waitstaff that go by famous old west monikers and dress in the garb to match. It offers a fairly limited menu but based on our experience does a good job of preparing what they do serve. The ceiling is lined with cutoff neck ties (if you are interested in why, wear one and find out) and they serve a full course meal. (Salad, entree, and desert) If you come around 7:00PM and 8:00 PM you can catch the gunfight show for an additional $7 outside of the steakhouse. Also there is a general store, magic shop, candy shop, and saloon you can visit. TL:DR. A GOOD, but not great, reasonably priced steakhouse wrapped in a unique Wild West experience worth visiting. read more

We are struggling with food poison currently. My sister in laws steak smelled sour and rotten. We told our server and she said she thought it smelled funny when she was bringing it out. We got in the show and the buzzer went off. They were nice enough to let us finish the show and they told us we would be first on the list when we were back.
