Our neighbor recommended Pinpoint Pest Control so we had them come out for treatment around the house. They were not pushy. The person I spoke with on the phone educated me on the area and the pests that could be a problem, including what is used to spray. (I was looking for something with the least amount of toxins.) They came out to do an estimate to give us an idea of what they could do before we make an appointment for service. During the service, they sweep the cobwebs and sprayed around the home. They guarantee their work for a month. We opted to try them out for a one-time treatment since we hadn't seen anything in the past year but figured we should. If the bugs increased, we would sign up for a plan. There were a few more pests that popped up before the month was up and they came out again to spray. We started with PinPoint 24 years ago, when we first bought our home in Oceanside. Our neighbors used them after meeting PinPoint through their church. We liked that they were a small business located here in Oceanside. Since our initial treatment, we have had some crazy calls for them, but they have always said no problem and sent a technician out to us immediately. The Co-Owner, Steve, was a young man working alongside his dad when we first started. He became our dedicated technician, and now Steve's sons, Steve Jr. and Cameron, are our technicians. We have very protective dogs that like to make it difficult for the technicians to enter our backyard. So they call us and give us a window of when they will be there the next day, and we make sure to put the dogs away while they are there. Since their products are pet-safe, we feel comfortable putting the dogs back out soon after they have left our property. The best part of PinPoint is that they don't overcharge. They are very clear about the charges and do the work for the agreed-upon price. They offer different contracts with different monthly options, so you don't have to feel like they are there too often or not enough. We had terrible spider problems and our landlord chose to send pinpoint monthly. It has been 5 years now and we're still pretty much spider-free! They always text the night before they come and are always on time, speedy, and cover all areas around the house. Sometimes they go the extra mile and remove spider webs from walkways and bushes which is much appreciated. During Halloween once the tech drew a spider on the little sheet they leave behind and I thought that was such a funny and sweet touch. Got rid of the rats but failed to tell us that blood, fur, and other decaying matter was left at the trap site and should be cleaned up. Our handyman discovered the mess a couple weeks later when he detected a "foul smell" in the attic. I was totally disappointed in this company's professionalism! I set up my appointment and verified the day before that I would not only be receiving an inspection, but they would begin service the next day. Almost on time, somebody came up in a Pinpoint truck and I welcomed him into my home. He looked under the sink very briefly and stated, "Yes, you do have problems. But I have another call to get to, so, Have a niece day" And he headed for the door." I advised him that I was assured he would begin service and he stalled for a second, then said, "Well, you've got to get everything out from under the sine and sanitize it. Then, I will come back". It was very obvious that he did not intend to do anything that day. I called Pinpoint and explained what happened, and the person stated that he needed to consult someone and would call me "right back" No call every came. I hired Orinl and they advised me that they would be here the next day and begin service. They were here today and applied chemicals and i already notice an improvement. Take my advice and steer clear of Pinpoint. They are unprofessional and have no concept of keeping their word and forget about helping you at all. I have had problems with ants since I moved to my new home in 2016 but I thought I could control them myself, I was so wrong! I had seen the work and pricing of the neighbors my condo shares walls with but they were very expensive so I looked on Yelp and selected Pinpoint, who responded very quickly. They sent me an online contract to sign for the one shot and after signing the agreement, Chris arrived the next morning and got to work. I have a cat so no spraying was done indoors but he put a powder in wall sockets so ants in the walls take it back to the nest. I have a cat and many times I've awakened to swarms of ants in his food! I followed him outside to front and back of condo and showed him where the ants nests were and he did a very thorough job spraying the whole area.
