I never thought I would be here writing a five star review for Oddwood Brewing but here I am... I have been ordering from this Brewery on DoorDash for the last two months and the food has arrived fresh, fast, and absolutely delicious. As someone who is lactose intolerant, Oddwood has vegan cheese options that don't taste like cardboard and still have the texture of regular dairy cheese. My favorites have been the Buffalo Chicken pizza, the OG Pepp Talk, and the Build Your Own Calzone. Jeez, these have been spectacular. The Buffalo Chicken one I did risk it all on (with Lactaid of course) and I didn't get sick. What a delicious pie! Unfortunately, I have to knock one thing. The wings arrived undercooked and really disappointing for the price. I truly don't understand how they could be so rubbery -- they were worse than a fast food pizza joint. Oddwood Brewing was one of the many breweries we paid a visit to while on our Austin trip. Upon arrival we saw that the place was super busy and there wasn't hardly any place to sit. However we did find a tabletop arcade game to sit at which was a really fun twist to the situation of "we might have to stand and drink our beers here". As we drank our beers I played a game or two on the tabletop while we sipped our beers. It proved to be a fun experience for sure. The Oddwood beer that I had here was the Shinest which was a maibock beer type. A kind of beer I don't get often but I always like them. In this beers flavor profile it has a natural sweetness along with maltiness with a clean finish at the end. This beer is nice and light bodied which in my mind is perfect for humid Texas days. read more

Oddwood Brewing is located on Manor Road near Airport Blvd. in East Austin. The brewery combines western elements like a horned chandelier with a modern flat screen. Our journey to Oddwood Brewing was through KG BBQ. There is an agreement between Oddwood and KG to allow KG customers to sit at tables indoors or outdoors. We had a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Of course, with 100+ degree temperatures outside indoor seating was definitely the way to go...no brainer. With that said, there were more folks sitting outside than inside. There was ample available seating indoors and outdoors. Interestingly, Oddwood sells bar food as well but primarily known for pizza. We learned from the bartender that Oddwood brewery makes its own beers on premises. We are not beer drinkers, so we cannot attest the taste of their beer. A friend invited me to meet him at odd wood, and this was my first visit. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but I appreciated the selection of sodas, craft beers, sparkling waters, etc. We tried some of the appetizers and they were delicious. We had not planned to stay as long as we did, but it was trivia night! And we couldn't pass up the opportunity to test our trivia skills. They also have an arcade area where all the games are free for those who love a video game. The staff were all great and we enjoyed being inside on the rainy evening that we were there. read more

I really wish I could update my review with a higher star rating, but unfortunately, Oddwood keeps missing the mark for me! It's a shame, because they're really close to where I live, so I would've loved for them to become a go-to spot for me and my partner. Parking lot is pretty small and gets packed quickly, particularly because it is shared between Oddwood, KG BBQ, and a few other businesses. If you're lucky to find parking, you have a few options for seating, including inside and outside. There are fans with misters outside to make it a little more bearable during the summer heat. There is food available at Oddwood (pizza and things) but I have not had it in a long time and can't speak to its quality. The beer is very, very average. Incredibly so. Service is quick, though. Not high on my priority list to come back, unfortunately! read more

The ambiance is very welcoming and comfortable. And you can't go wrong with KG BBQ truck onsite. It's a family and dog friendly establishment. Dogs on patio unless service animal. The Italian beef sandwich they make is pretty decent being this far out from Chicago. Staff is cool and help when you're indecisive about flight choices (like me, always). They have a pour called Yuki Onnna which is my absolute favorite. It's a Japanese rice lager at just around 4% abv or so. It's got a unique and crisp flavor that sits well on the tongue and lips. read more

The pizza was great. Couldn't stop eating it. Been here 3 times for KG BBQ but we finally decided to go INSIDE and order some pizza. Pleasantly surprised. And the prices are very reasonable. The dough style seems most similar to almost a Chicago tavern style crust. 10 inch pies, very thin and crisp, good char. The sausage is particularly tasty, best I've had on a pizza yet. Inside is very, very cozy, pub feel. Clean. Family friendly. We're not much beer drinkers these days so we tried the frose. I stopped by Oddwood Brewing with my husband and brother this past weekend. We wanted a place to have a drink and play a boardgame I'd gifted my brother, and we chose Oddwood because it was in the area around the hotel where we were staying. I'm so glad we did. Unpopular thing to write in a review of a brewery, but I'm not the biggest beer drinker. I definitely drink beer if I'm floating a river or watching baseball or on the Fourth of July. But it's not my good to on a regular day. So I really appreciated that Oddwood has wine, too. My husband had a couple of beers, and I could have a couple glasses of wine. Everyone's happy! On top of that, the brewery space is great - lots of seating, a big projector screen playing sports (golf when we were there this past weekend), and A/C. What more could we need? How about a food truck outside on the property too? How about an arcade area? Oddwood just has everything you need for a good time. I'd happily return. read more

If you've been to pinthouse and found their pizza disappointing and prefer your beers to not be hoppy, this is the place for you. Their setup is great for an after work happy hour or coming to catch a game. Plenty of comfortable spade indoors and outdoors. The pizza is exactly what brewery pizza should be. Light and crisp with a good variety of options. I had the saucy hog which was a white pie with goat cheese, crispy prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. The flavor mix was really good and I love that they go for that kind of flavor combination. With that said, the overall pizza quality is just okay and I can't see myself coming here for a plain pizza. Their beer specialty is pilsners, they have an average variety of beers for an Austin brewery. I'd call them all pretty palatable for non beer people and the quality was solid, but if you're a beer person visiting Austin I don't think they approach the top tier. After being here a few times now I feel I can finally write how fun it is to come to Oddwood. I especially love their curated movie and music nights especially their vinyl nights as it all pairs so well with delicious and crisp in-house beers and delicious pizza. Transparently I have not tried the BBQ yet but I got plenty of future opportunities down the road when I come in next time for their next vinyl spinning night. I am a super fan of their emo curated nights. I am a sucker for a theme in general but emo or holiday tunes always wins me over and brings me in. Plenty of room and space for you to bring a large group in and be seated comfortably inside or outside - you take your pick. The small game room for the kiddos is such a nice touch too and allows some extra space for the kiddos to run around and play some games as the adults get some beer or wine down. Parking can be a thing but there is plenty of street parking across the way if you do not find any spots right in front. Be mindful of the parking warnings and signs as you may think you got lucky and found a spot but it may be reserved for the neighbor businesses. Also if you are not into pizza they have plenty else to offer too like wings, spaghetti, strombolis, huge salads, sandwiches, and chicken tenders or corn dogs for them kids. They have such a variety of food offerings that it would be silly to at least not get an appetizer to pair with pitcher of beer. read more

Beautiful bar area and overall the inside vibe is very cozy. IPAs tasted pretty good, but most of the other beer options fell short. We tried two flights to attempt to taste as many of theirs as we could. They had the popular bbq truck, KG BBQ, out back while we were there, but the line was super long and it was a busy, colder day so we just ordered from the regular menu this time. It was very okay, mild, not very seasoned and a little overcooked (dry) food so I'd recommend the food truck and I haven't even tried it yet. They have an arcade area on the side that has a huge sign that says unsupervised kids below a certain age are not permitted and yet tons of little kids screaming and running kept going in and out, very distracting to other patrons. Staff wasn't super present, even when ordering they seemed distracted by the game on and just trying to pound through orders and seemed annoyed when we asked about the WiFi. All of the empty seating options tables were dirty, luckily I carry wipes with me. Ooof the parking is so difficult here, especially on the weekends. Very limited spaces, shared with other businesses in a very busy area. Street parking a block away. read more

Without doubt the worst cheese bread I've ever had in my life. It was crunchy, the edges were burnt and the amount of cheese was disappointing. It tasted like they were trying to use up leftover ingredients, not like this was intentionally made dish. The wings were ok but the limp celery provided on the side may as well have been skipped. Oddwood Ales was nice! My friend and I came here in an attempt to try out something in the Cherrywood neighborhood, and it was immediately obvious that it's a popular local hangout. The building and the surrounding food truck(s) were really neat, and the service was about what you'd expect from a popular local beer joint (to the point, but not rude). We got pizzas, which were both pretty unimpressive for the price. Mine was a run of the mill thin crust meat and veggie pizza, while my friend got their vegetarian option. If mine was a 6/10, his was a solid 3. If we're talking percentiles, this was easily bottom quintile. Well, it's not like Oddwood ever claimed to have exceptional pizzas (and a veggie one, no less) so maybe that's what we get for going to a pub and ordering pizza. Seems like a fun place to gather with friends on a Saturday night, but parking can be tricky to find! The lot was full when I arrived around 6pm, so I had to park on a street a block away from the restaurant. I got a white top pizza with broccoli, but wasn't a huge fan. The pizza was on the "smaller, crispier" side, and was overpriced in my opinion. Ordering was also confusing. You had to tell the cashier what table you were sitting at, but the cashier who was "helping" seemed distracted with watching a game on one of the large TVs. I still left a tip, but I'm not exactly sure what I was tipping for... Even though I am new to Austin, I'm pretty sure there are better places in town for weekend night group meet-ups. Oddwood really has it all: indoor space, outdoor space, an arcade area (with GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo), delicious pizzas and a BBQ food truck, parking, happy hour specials, TVs with sports, fun merch.... What else could you possibly want? Oh, yeah - BEER! The beer here is tasty, top notch, and a nice variety to serve different palates. The Irish Red at Oddwood was one of my favorite beers in Austin. If beer isn't your thing, wine and seltzers are available. The outdoor areas are a mix of covered and uncovered, so even if the weather isn't great, you can enjoy some fresh air. Staff is great, and the brewery set up is super impressive. I can also vouch for the delicious flavors of KG BBQ. I loved the lamb and mac 'n cheese. read more

We abandoned the wait for BBQ next door and had the good fortune to pop into this little gem. We ordered Sandos (meatball and jabroni) and salads (caeser and greek). Salads were great. If you like your salads premixed with dressing, then you're good here. I didn't mind it, but felt like a bit too much dressing was on that salad and would order it on the side next time. That's just me. The sandos were terrific. Toasted bread, melted cheese, and seasoned well. What more do you need? Other reviewers commented on the beer options being somewhat limited and we'd agree. Other than that, I take serious issue with the variations in times Oddwood is open. They have a sign in the restaurant that Monday, wings are $1 each. One friend said he thought they were closed. I started trying to look it up & found 3 different responses: Open at 3:00, Open at 4:00, & Closed on Mondays. Tried to call, went to voicemail. I planned to meet friends there so I went at 3:45, waited til 4:15, other people pulled up thinking it was open as well, called 2 more times & it went to voicemail again, and we all finally left. We stopped by after a long day at a wrestling tournament. It was safe to say I was starving! The layout wasn't the most ideal for our larger group, but the kids were very occupied by the free arcade! This place was busy on a Friday at 8pm, which makes it a bit hard to find parking since their lot is quite small. So try to get early or hope you get lucky to catch a group leaving. They do have some picnic tables outside that was available but it was cold and we snagged a small table inside when some groups left. You order at the bar so make sure if you plan on getting food, you have someone save your table during busy times. Grabbed a white pizza and added arugula which was delicious but definitely an expensive option. Probably better to get one of their suggested pizzas versus designing your own based on the $ of individual topics. The beer list is pretty solid and I did enjoy my beer. My husband and I finally stopped here. I say that because it's super close to my house we never have been. I got a cider and he got a beer on draft. The food smelled amazing (outside and inside) but we didn't eat since we had plans for dinner later. Overall I would definitely come back here to check out their pizza.
