I tried PHP with my 3 year old daughter based on the reviews and the fact they are kid-friendly. It was a Monday night at 7:00pm and we had no issues finding parking or a table to ourselves. The food came out quickly and the staff were so friendly. We ordered the Caesar salad sans romaine given the recall but it was still a solid salad with the substituted mixed greens. The croutons were homemade and tasty. We started with the pizza rolls which were good but essentially a mini Calzone so it didn't really hit the spot as I would have rather had breadsticks. This place has never failed me! I have tried the Armadillo, the Banh MI, and the Honey Pear pizzas and they are ALL PHENOMENAL. Armadillo - poblano peppers the star here Banh Mi - I loved the heat on this one; the combo of jalapeños and a slight ripple of Sriracha. I'd you like pepperini and jalapeno pizza, you're sure to like this one. Honey Pear - I usually don't go for sweet ones, bit this was also AWESOME! I wanted to try and different specialty pizza and it delivered. Not too sweet. I must say it didn't look as pretty usual. I would give 5 stars but it was so hot in this place yesterday that we had to cut out sooner than we had planned. But other than that I will talk about what they did right. Masks are required unless you are seated at a table and they provide hand sanitizer at the door before entering. There is no table service but I think that's always. It was great to be out and about and we dined in. Everything we ordered came out in a very timely fashion though. Our pies were very hot and fresh when they came out and we were able to leave with some good leftovers. We both had a good beer after about 2-3 beers so all in all we had a nice afternoon. I love the bahn mi pizza it's just so different from most pizzas. If Covid ever ends this a great place for large groups besides the temperature on the inside. Went around 8:30 pm on a Saturday. Good: Lines for beer and food were short. Standing space was available right away and we got a seat about 5 min before we got our pizza. Beer selection was great. Bad: staff kinda discouraged us from ordering pizza because of the back log of orders (45 min). Actual time was about 30 min. Our pizza, Magherita, was mostly crust and the tomatoes were not Roma, just a spattering of cherry tomatoes. We looked around and most of the other pizzas were full of toppings, so will give them the benefit of the doubt and figure it was a one off, or we ordered the wrong style of pizza. I had tried Electric Jellyfish Ipa at the Alamo the first night we were here. I heard great things about their beer but nothing about their pizza. We came at lunch time and decided to order some food and grab some beer. My wife grabbed one of their beers and i actually ended up grabbing something by odells. I was told that if I see odells or tupps on tap to grab it. I was not disappointed, but I do wish I would have grabbed another Pint House beer because the Electric Jellyfish was amazing. I think we got he veggie pizza with pepperoni added on it. I like veggies but do like a single meat at least to break it up a bit. The pizza was actually really good. i would almost say this was my favorite pizza of Texas. I tried 2 different ones and I think this one was slightly better, but the other I did get take out. Who's idea was it to come here while on a work lunch break!? 2 of the greatest things in the world are pizza and beer. Pinthouse houses both of them! Unfortunately, I came here during a work day and couldn't partake in the flights of craft beer, but settling to eat just pizza was still fulfilling. Walking in, you are automatically greeted with the smell of hops and beer. It smells sooooo good! Pinthouse has a very relaxed feel, and it looks like a modern, yet traditional, beer brewery. To your left when walking in is the bar. Straight ahead is where you order your food. Everyone was pretty nice and the service was quick. I ordered the personal size build your own pizza with mozzarella and bacon. Yummy! It was the perfect amount of cheesiness and they murdered my pie with a bunch of bacon. Pinthouse Pizza is one of my go-to restaurants in Austin for pizza that my whole family enjoys. I should first note, I have never actually dined inside here, so I can't speak to that. I've only ordered takeout, but I can say that ordering online and picking up is easy and seamless. There are several pizzas I enjoy on the menu. The Ooh La La is my favorite - I love the combination of pepperoni, peppadew peppers, and spicy honey. I also like the Shoomin' Goat (goat cheese and mushrooms, as the name suggests) and my husband likes the Armadillo (sausage, poblano peppers, and cilantro). They also have a rotating flavor that changes every month and I enjoy trying those for something new and different. Also, they have a great selection of craft beers. If you aren't sure what to order, go for the Electric Jellyfish. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I do like this one.
