Pinto Thai is a solid neighborhood Thai restaurant that serves all the standards. They never seem to be slammed during lunch so it offers a great quiet lunch spot for me near the office when I have a noodle or curry craving. Their Pad Thai comes either spicy or regular, both great, just depends on what you like. Spicy here isn't face melting hot, but it'll get the sinuses running if you're not careful. Also, lunch specials come with a soup, side salad and fried spring roll in case the plate of noodles alone isn't enough. Service has always been friendly and quick. I haven't had any issues and everything always comes out fast and drinks refilled before you notice. I have family nearby and we've picked up take out for dinner. This a cute little Thai restaurant in the memorial area but it packs a punch with flavor! Their menu has a wide but not too overwhelming selection, and they have the usuals you would find at most Thai restaurants. I LOVED their spicy fried house special tilapia! It was exactly what I was craving and how I imagined it would taste. The fish had a light airy fry to it, they serve it with rice on the side. Mix the rice with it to soak up the spices and sauce. Also the portion was pretty big, I had to take the rest home but definitely looking forward to my leftovers! My bf ordered the pad Thai and it's not the best pad Thai I've ever had but it was still very flavorful and the beef was very savory. The pad Thai was not overwhelming sweet which is good. It will be another 30 min past pick up time. When I tried to reason with them I was told that I am going to be listening to them as they listen to people like me complain 5 days a week... what? This is our family's favorite Thai restaurant for dinner. We have been going to Pinto for the past year and we get consistently good food and the staff is very courteous. Food comes out really fast. Our family favorite dishes are massuaman curry beef, fish cakes, fried crab rice and green curry pork. Today we tried the satay chicken and we really liked it. They have a lot of pick up orders. Read some reviews and decided to give this place a try for take out. Of course, I ordered my fav Thai dish, pad kee mao. It tasted ok. I liked the fact that it had fresh green beans in it, it gave it a nice crunch. I do think the dish tasted like it had some concentrated tomato paste, and I prefer the dish made freshly sautéed tomorrow. I did think that the portion was a good size. I really do like Pinto Thai. I think that they have decent lunch prices. And they are pretty fast during their lunch service. I've been to two Thai places in the area so far. Pinto Thai is definitely on top for the current time because of their Pad Woon Sen. Pinto Thai is good for your small lunch group if you work around the Energy Corridor. From my perspective, I think they serve decent sizes for their lunches. I've never had Pad Woon Sen before. But, I think I've found a new favorite Thai dish. This is made with cellophane noodles. It really is a basic stir fry of common Thai ingredients. The pad woon sen here has caught my attention and I think you will enjoy this dish as well. I highly recommend it. I saw the lunch specials ordered by my guests. But, I don't think they looked as good as my dish. I've seen better Pad Thai at other establishments. But, Pad Woon Sen is a little more specialized and this was the first time I've seen it as a featured main dish offered by a Thai restaurant. Even though I am a fan, I'm going to keep searching for other Thai restaurants in my area. Although I am in love with their Pad Woon Sen, I find that Pinto Thai could use a little more work before I give them 5 stars. Just had drunken noodles and it was the freshest dish. Crisp fresh sautéed veggies: green beans, carrot, bell pepper, onion and mushroom. Balanced perfectly with noodles and sauce. I tried Pinto Thai for the 2nd time within a year and I'm upset that I haven't been here more often seeing that it's literally 5 minutes away from me. Dishes orders: Pad Se Ew (Chicken) Spring Rolls (Chicken) Green Curry (Chicken) Pros: Green Chicken Curry was flavorful and I would recommend ordering, however the story doesn't end there. Cons: Springs Rolls were a bit small, peanut sauce was good, the sweet and sour sauce... well was just overly sweet. Pad Se Ew looked promising, however when digging into it, it had broccoli, took a bite and tasted like rotten fish. Took another look, smelled the dish & the vegetables smelled sour & very fishy. We had orderd all chicken dishes, not sure if it was late and they were closing trying to get this last order out before they closed or what was the situation in the kitchen. Pinto Thai is a neighborhood restaurant in the Energy Corridor and it's a mixed bag: if you know what to order, you're golden. If you don't, it's mediocre. We had the chicken wings appetizer which was fantastic- nice and crispy with a tasty sweet glaze. The other appetizer we shared, the beef satay was so-so. Not sure if it was the seasoning or the quality of the meat, but I've had better satay. Just lacked some flavor. Had a bite of the drunken chicken which was about average but my pad see ew was out of this world. The sauce makes the dish- a brown sauce mixed with noodles, egg, broccoli, and Chinese broccoli with your choice of protein. They have duck as an option but were out this time which was too bad as this isn't something you usually see at Thai restaurants. Service is friendly, bathrooms are a little run down. If I lived in the area, this would be one of my go-to takeout spots. read more

This place always has amazing service. They tend to only have one or two people in at a time acting as waiter/server/cashier so you may not be seated immediately upon arrival but your order and food will definitely come out quickly. Again I have to say that one of the best qualities about this place is its service. The menu itself is reasonably priced at around $10-$14 per dish which is about the same as most Asian restaurants in the area. Definitely look out for groupons if you want to save a little money (usually a $12 for $20 deal). The food itself is quite delicious. Being a Thai restaurant most dishes are prepared with some type of herb, onions, and peppers. I recommend trying out the sweet/sour chili sauce they have in these little jars. You may have to request them but they are definitely a must and go with most dishes. I would recommend getting the Thai tea for a beverage, tom yum soup or trying one of their many fried rices. read more

First time eating at Pinto Thai Restaurant. I ordered Tom Yum Shrimp (cup) and Chicken wings. Tom Yum Shrimp is very nice and quite flavorful. It comes with 3 fresh large shrimps and mushrooms, which is very good compare to the price $5.95. They use bigger shrimp compare to other restaurants. I give this order 4 starts. Chicken wing is very crispy and flavorful. The crispy wings are covered with a caramel sauce. I ate it with rice, it's heaven!! I'm quite sure that you will finish the wing before it loses the crispness. Two thumbs up for this dish. 5 stars! Service and atmosphere is great. Servers are polite and humble.
