Came in 30 min before closing and the ladies were so sweet. Still sat us down and never rushed us one bit. The food tasted delicious, and portion is very generous. Soup had a lot of flavors, noodles were thick, shrimp was crunch and filled with sauce. Total bill was about $60 with tip included , price is very fair.

Love the ambiance/decor of this place. The food is also delicious. Attentive staff. We for the pad Thai and drunken noodles both were great!

BBQ pork. Delicious and the dip was amazing.

Food was amazing, service was friendly and the restaurant is cute and very clean. I will be back when I return to the area .

Ordered the N-1 Pad Thai wrapped eggs with shrimp to-go and to be honest it was a bit underwhelming. Not only was it $34 for 2 noodle dishes.. but It took 40+ minutes to have my order made and the sauce was way too sweet. If I was dinning in I would have definitely sent it back. I was hoping for a better taste given such great reviews. Maybe I came on an off day /:

    N-1 Pad Thai

Tried the Pad Thai here and was pretty disappointed. It was bland overall and the chicken had a strange taste. Portion size was generous, but unfortunately, the quality didn't match the price ($16). Wouldn't recommend...

I use to frequent pinto Thai quite a bit as I was living fairly close to it. But since I had moved last year, I hadn't been to pinto Thai for almost a year and a half, till recently. I am not sure what happened to the service and quality of food from the previous visits. Perhaps a change in management? We came here for lunch and the restaurant was empty. We seated ourselves and a young waiter came to take our orders. We went with a Thai chili beef and a basil fried rice with shrimp. The serving size were very small/petite. I almost felt like as if I was eating a kid's meal. We got spice level 4, and yes the food was hot and spicy, yet lacking taste. There was nothing that stood out about the dishes except that they looked like some protein stir fried with veggies and served with rice. There was no "soul" in the food. I hated the fact that they were not enough protein. Our service was very slow. I did not see the waiter till it was time for our checks. At that time, he got us our refills. We were ready to get the heck out of there. As there are numerous amounts of Thai restaurants in the city, this was probably my last visit to Pinto Thai.

The decor is so beautiful! there's a chandelier on all tables which was so nice. I had higher expectations for the food since it was rather expensive. all plates were around $13-15. The cheese rolls were okay, but my pad woon sen was really cold when i got it. it didn't have enough flavor and is probably one of the worser plates of pad woon sen i've had. I tried the yellow curry and it was soooo good, id definitely order that instead. The sticky rice was delicious, but rather expensive it was around $8 for such a small plate. our waiter was very friendly and attentive though he was very sweet.

The atmosphere feels lively, casual, and packed with personality--exactly the kind of place you hope to stumble upon but rarely do. The menu is enormous, featuring dishes from different regions of Thailand, with everything from soups and stir-fried noodles to rice dishes, curries, seafood, and grilled meats. Looking around the dining room, it seemed like nobody ordered the same thing because there is just so much to try. Best of all, the prices are incredibly reasonable for a place with this much hype. I had some of the best noodles of my life here. The Pad Kee Mao was phenomenal (best I've ever had and I eat thai food OFTEN) the noodles were chewy, bouncy, fresh, and perfectly coated in sauce. Everything tasted made-to-order and arrived piping hot. We also ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, which was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, along with the Green Papaya Salad, which was easily one of the best versions I've ever had. The heat, acidity, and freshness was incredible and so well balanced. Many of the dishes are served on banana leaves, which adds to the entire experience and makes everything feel even more authentic and special. As someone who loves spice, I also appreciated the range of spice levels available. They don't hold back, which I always consider a good sign. One of the coolest surprises is that there's an attached market selling imported products from Thailand and Vietnam--lots of fun snacks, drinks, sauces, and ingredients you won't find at a typical grocery store. A few things to know: parking can be a little challenging, and while it's a sit-down restaurant, you'll need to head to the cashier to pay. They also accept cards, so don't worry about bringing cash. If I lived nearby, I would honestly come here every week just to work my way through the menu. This is the kind of restaurant that's worth planning a trip around. I would come back to Houston just for this meal. When people say Houston has some of the best Asian food in the country, this is exactly the type of place they're talking about!!

We visited for lunch on a Tuesday and had no wait to be seated. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The spring rolls and dumplings were both very good and made a great start to the meal. The Pad Thai had nice flavor and was enjoyable. My husband ordered his dish at a spice level 4 (their highest spice level), but felt it wasn't quite as spicy as expected, so keep that in mind if you like a lot of heat. The portions were very generous, and we definitely had leftovers. The kids' chicken fried rice was a huge portion and was surprisingly good. We also enjoyed the mango sticky rice for dessert--it was a great way to end the meal. The only disappointment was the Thai tea, which tasted a little weak compared to what we've had at other Thai restaurants. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was good, and the portions were excellent. We'd be happy to return and try more items from the menu.

It seems more upscale in appearance. Dress code here is business casual. 4. Food - I've had their YELLOW CURRY WITH CHICKEN AND WHITE RICE. Cleanliness - dining area is clean. The waitstaff keeps this place in tip top shape. The only complaint I have, although not exactly about cleanliness, I would suggest that management take a look at the lock in the men's restroom. Although it was locked, someone was able to enter still. SUMMARY This is a petite Thai cafe. Everything about this place was enjoyable. The Tom Kha had a lighter, more watery base than the rich coconut flavor I'm used to. They also served a complimentary appetizer, which was a fun surprise, a taco shaped fried wonton wrapper filled with cabbage and their house dressing...Overall, if you're looking for a quick Thai bite with excellent service, this place works. I'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 not because it's bad, but because the flavors didn't quite match what I personally look for. For what it is, it's solid. -- Pilgrim Sojourner

For drinks, I got the Mekhong Mojito and it was sweet and refreshing! For appetizers, we got the crispy squid and the crispy wonton- crispy squid was good but if you had to choose between the two, get the crispy wonton! As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. The curry broth with coconut milk was fragrant and with the toppings that came on the side (i.e. lime, onions/shallots, mustard greens, etc) enhanced the dish. The flat egg noodles were bouncy and the shrimp was solid. If you're stuck between choosing a curry dish and a noodle dish, get the best of both worlds and order the Khao Soi! As for my friend's spicy red snapper, I tried a bite and the spices/texture in the dish complimented the fish very well. For dessert, we ordered the classic Mango Sticky Rice! They have that street food vibe as a well representation of their name, Rim Tanon, which means roadside. With dedicated parking that fills up quick during peak times, it may be difficult to locate parking as it is shared with a few other restaurants and the spaces are quite tight. We tried their appetizers including Salmon Rolls (flavorfully packed with cream cheese, salmon, and spinach in a crispy shell and loving that actually spicy mayo on the side), Thai Style Jerky (deep fried and sun dried marinated pork and beef served with sticky rice rolls and side spicy tamarind sauce, a bit too dry/chewy), Fried Tofu (perfect little triangles, so good by itself or with the side sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts), Chive Pancake (deep fried and chive packed triangles with a slight chew to it, great by itself or with it's spicy soy sauce companion). As for the mains, the Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is a good value as it was loaded with all sort of fruits of the sea (shrimp, squid, and mussel), with prominent lemongrass and kaffir lime aroma, but a bit wet or moist for a fried rice dish, the Crabmeat Omelet is served with a nice portion of lump crabmeat where you can taste the flavor of the seafood and add sriracha to liking, and the Beef Pad See Ew is made appetizing with wok charred flat rice noodles along with a savory blend of soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The portion size is alright and filling for a moderately hungry individual, though it would've been even better a tad bigger for those coming in hangry. I'll be back for more when I'm craving some modern Thai food and especially want to try their curry dishes. Service was quick and efficient, attentive to refills on drinks and friendly!
