Not sure how this restaurant is getting such good reviews. I live down the street and decided to try them out today. I got the pad thai noodles (shrimp) for $12.95. This has to be the worst thai food I have tasted. I've tasted mall chain food that tasted better than this. On the plus side the portion is a lot and they gave me plenty of shrimp. However the taste and flavors were awful. I should have known I went on a Saturday and the place was EMPTY. I'd rather drive up the street to Eldridge and eat at Nom Nom Noodles. read more

Fairly standard Thai spot with your usually offerings of curries, rice and various other traditional dishes. Got some curry to go and overall wasn't too bad. The drawbacks here include a little bit too much oil accumulated in the curry, the taste was good but could have been a bit more flavorful and and the rice was average. The good includes ample parking available, the restaurant itself was clean, the portion itself was fair for the price point and the service was pretty quick to get in and out without too much of a hassle. They are available on a few of the food service delivery apps as well which is good in a pinch when you can't make it out of the office. Working on that side of town for. But it was part of the rotation but wouldn't specifically drive out of my way to visit unless it was convenient. read more

Very good Thai food served to the "hotness" degree you request. Good soups and my personal favorite while I try to stay on my diet Chicken Larb Salad - Thai HOT. I have also enjoyed their basil dishes and when I'm not on the diet - the curry dishes. Not really a destination restaurant but a solid choice for Thai. read more

Have had dInner here many times and always enjoy the delicious food. Service is always good. Went for dinner the other night and message was posted on door about portion size was slightly reduced but pricing remained same. Nice that they alerted patrons early instead of disappointment later on. I noticed that the volume of edamame was less and the noodle dish was slightly less but it was all plenty enough. The lone waitstaff was scurrying to keep up with the two tables and carry out. Very pleasant. Even gave us two sprigs of basil to take home to root in our windowsill! We will be back soon. read more

I had the lunch menu Panag Curry with shrimp. The curry comes with a side of rice and was delicious, full of flavor, loved it. The vegetable, greenbeans was a bit under done for my liking but no big deal. Lunch comes with an amazing cup of cabbage & dumpling soup. Full on flavorful and I could have ate a huge bowl of just that. Small salad and egg roll all came along with the lunch deal. Coolest part was that the restaurant was feeding Thai monks and after their meal broke out in prayer/chant and they blessed the on lookers. Felt like I flew to Thailand for lunch. $10 for pad Thai and $10 for pad see ew, both had a pretty decent sized portion but the taste didn't warrant the price. The chicken was really dry, and I ordered one medium spicy thinking it would be decently spiced but they just put black pepper on top. Which was pretty weird to call it spicy. I've had some pretty bomb Thai food, being part Laotian I guess it must've made me spoiled. I ordered two Thai teas to-go. It cost me almost $8.00, and I got mostly ice; ice to the brim. I wish I would not have tipped. I think I finished the entire cup in a few sips. Rip-off. The value for price here is great. I had Tom Kha Gai soup (very good - not the best I have ever had or most authentic, but a good solid effort at this price) and a mussel dish with veggies (also very good). I travel near here frequently for work and I will be returning for more of the same next trip. Definitely not a fancy place - just a nice local casual restaurant. read more

One of the best Thai restaurants in the Energy Corridor. I have eaten at pretty much all of the Thai places near here and the thing I really liked about this one is that the curry was thick instead of runny. The flavor was delicious and the service was great, plus you get a small appetizer platter before the meal which is nice as well. Would absolutely recommend! read more

It's a nice small cozy place, clean and two big screen TVs so you can watch sports. I ordered the Tom Kah soup with was tasty but could be improved with additional spices as it was very milky. The Pineapple red curry with chicken at 2 spice level had the perfect combination of sweet pineapple and hot pepper flavors, as well as nice rich curry. They provided a good portion of white rice to go along and even offered more since I still had curry left over. The portions are very good. The waiter was very attentive, pleasant and provided service with a smile. He also seemed to know a lot of the patrons who I guess are regulars. This is a beautiful little thai restaurant off Dairy Ashford that my energy corridor coworkers and I love to go to. I ordered the green curry (the one with potatoes). It was excellent. My friend ordered the red curry and she loved it. The portions are so large you could eat it for dinner as well. I talked to the nice waitress who worked there. She's from Thailand and suggested that I should try the green curry (the one with bamboo shoots) next time because it's more authentic. I'm definitely coming back here! I've eaten here twice. The first time, I got pad thai, it was great, but it had onions, which I dont like, but it was my fault for not saying "no onions". The second time I came here, I ordered the pad thai again, but with no onions. AND THIS TIME, It was just noodles and meat. Wheres the rest? I was looking to get my 3-5 vegetables in. Given the lack of options in the area Pinto Thai is acceptable if you are craving Thai food but pales in comparison to other places in town like Vieng Thai. We had the green beans, massaman curry, pad kee mao, and Thai custard with sticky rice. The kee mao noodles with tofu were pretty good, the noodles were slightly over, but overall it was a good dish. The green beans were undercooked and the massaman curry used more tomatoes than we are used to. The Thai custard and sticky rice was really good but in general it's not a very popular dish. We used to live a few minutes from Vieng Thai and I think I was the only one who used to order it because they don't offer it anymore. So that Pinto Thai has it is a +1 in my book. Heck next time I go there will probably be just to get that. read more

I really liked this place and have ordered here many times. Unfortunately the last time was my last time ordering from them. I ordered Tom yum soup and I usually request the soup to be mild, like I have done previously. When I got home and tried to eat the soup it was too spicy so I called them up and said if they could make another one he said they would but I needed to turn the soup back to them. I show up and then they started arguing with me about the amount of tofu and mushrooms left in the soup! They actually took out the tofu, onions and mushrooms and counted! Unf#%#%%% believable. Then they said they just will replace the broth half way! WTF? I will never ever eat there again, customer service sucks. I'm so pissed I'm going to copy and paste this review everywhere. read more

A few months back I ate here. The food was actually very good, with quick service, so great for lunch. The problem came after paying. I used a credit card that I almost never use, and tipped well. That evening I got a warning that someone rang up a $0.00 charge. Then in the morning I got a message that I purchased a fish locator from Bass Pro Shops online. I called and found out it was being delivered to Houston, but of course they wouldn't say where. CitiBank took care of the charge, and got me a new card etc, but I never found out what happened. To be fair, I don't know that it was because of someone at this location, but since I hadn't used the card in months, and it happened within a few hours of visiting here, I have to be suspicious. The fact that it was being sent to someone in Houston also means its likely local, and not some sort of online hack. I would only say if you eat here, check your accounts for a while afterwards. read more

I hate writing this review because I really like this place, but I'll just sum it up with one word: hair. The last two times I have eaten here (once in person and once with a to-go order) there have been black hairs in the food. One was in a noodle dish and one was in a spring roll. 1. 3-stars because they deliver and the food was fresh. 2. We ordered pad thai, steamed spring rolls, steamed dumplings, chicken wings, garlic chicken & chicken fried rice without vegetables. 3. I was extremely specific on how I wanted my food prepared. No meat in the spring rolls or pad thai. I also requested extra bean spouts and did not receive ANY bean sprouts. The pad thai had vegetables that I do not consider appropriate for this "typical" dish. It had broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, & green beans. The sauce flavor was good. The peanuts were scarce and the noodles were closer to spaghetti than flat thai noodles. So basically it was a veggie stir-fry with spaghetti noodles. 4. The spring rolls were blah. Typical iceberg lettuce, carrots & rice noodles. There was way too much lettuce in the roll and not enough noodles. The balance was off & they included meat when I requested none. The peanut sauce was oily, which was a little weird. 5. Hubby liked the chicken wings. He would order them again. 6. My son liked his fried rice. The chicken was more shredded than chunked. The steamed dumpling were ok. They contained a strong flavor of mint. 7. Would I order again?
