This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Ramona! The food isn't just good for a small town, it's the best Thai I've had in the San Diego area. The ambience is lovely, they've decorated it so beautifully that I don't feel like I'm in the high desert, it's a little oasis of calm and great food! Small cute hole in the wall restaurant. Staff were all very nice and helpful. They had indoor and outdoor seating. Food had great flavor. The Yellow Curry was really good....Not too sweet, just the right amount of flavor. The Pad Thai was also very good. My husband ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice and he was happy he did. I grab lunch from here at least once a week. They never fail to get my order correct, which can be tricky being that I am vegan. I usually order a side of rice- I have tried the white and the brown and they are both always fresh and warm. I also order the vegan egg rolls which come with an amazing sauce. I add the sauce to my rice and have a great lunch for under $10. I love the ambiance and the everyone who works there is so kind and eager to make sure you are enjoying yourself. I did bring my daughter to work and lunch there one day and the server was so sweet to her, helped her order, and even complimented her on her manners... something most don't notice these days. My neighbor recommended coming here for Thai food cravings and spoke highly of it . Honestly he had every right to speak highly of this place ! I got the yellow curry with beef came a side of rice and also spring roll with shrimp and came with a side peanut sauce . EVERYTHING tasted so fresh and flavorful probably the best Thai food I had in such a long time . Portions are very decent price fair . Staff very helpful and nice . We LOVE the food here! We usually get takeout, but we enjoy eating in the restaurant too. We have our favorite dishes but also like to try something new every time we go and the food never disappoints. The only dish I'm not a huge fan of is the pad Thai, but everything else is great and it's some of the best Thai food I've had in San Diego. We usually get one of their curries as well as one of their other plates, like the Thai basil or the pepper broccoli. This is one of our go-to spots in Ramona and we highly recommend checking it out. read more

Even my feral cat wouldn't finish the leftovers. The pad Thai tasted like a child spilled an entire jug of corn syrup onto a plate of over-cooked noodles. My level 4 spicy Tom Kah soup had literally 0 heat to it. I only gave it a star because the setting was ok and the service was alright. I don't know if it is the local audience that is motivating people to cook food like this or if there is literally not a single Thai cook in the kitchen, but I seriously do not understand why this place has such good reviews. We had a great dinner on our way out to the desert for a camping trip. My wife ordered drunken noodles with mock duck and I ordered pumpkin curry. The mock duck was good it was prepared pretty typically with lots of flavor. The pumpkin curry was awesome, I have never ordered pumpkin curry and boy have I been missing out. The ladies working at the front of the house were very friendly and welcoming, the place was nicely decorated clean and felt very comfortable. The prices were very reasonable. My family stopped by Pinto Thai when we were on our annual trip to Julian for the holidays. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and we were seated immediately. We ordered the Pa-Nang Curry, the Pad Kee-Mao, and the Thai Fried Rice, all lunch special options. That way, we were able to get Tom Yum soup, a Spring Roll, a crispy wonton, and salad with our meals. The soup was amazing, with just the right amount of spice to warm us up. The curry and the fried rice were also delicious, but my personal favorite was the noodles. My grandmother particularly enjoyed the salad and the spring roll, which is high praise coming from a very picky eater. We all left satisfied and happy after our meal- looking forward to coming back to Pinto Thai in the future! read more

The last thing you expect to find in Ramona is incredible Thai food...but WOW, pinto Thai serves some of the best Thai food I've ever had!! The Tom Kha is one of my favorite things on the menu, along with Tofu pad Thai, Thai fried rice, and the red curry. They also serve pad woonsen that is filled with so many good veggies. It's rich and decadent without being greasy, and the portions are massive! Veggies and meat are obviously fresh and prepared perfectly.
