Sometimes hit and miss - but when they are good, they are outta dis world! So the lasagna was the thing that is usually amazing - but had a few TV Dinner experiences here. Overall the pizza is fast and fresh and the atmosphere is pretty cool at any time. TVs playing, good music and they serve booze to boot! I don't know. I hate giving a so-so review to a place that has such great pizza but recently the infrastructure pf the place has been in serious decline. I've been coming for 5 years with my wife and at first it was awesome. The whole experience was flawless. But ever since we had a waiter tell us off and avoid serving us, though we still kept coming, we've had waiters forget our food, they play dumb and forget to add the late night special (starting the tab at 9:59 so it doesn't count), and it's just become frustrating. I'm giving it a break for a while. There are many restaurants around here that are all good and this one had just become the go to. The supervisor now is good and on top of things and probably the only reason I don't go down to two. Sorry Piola. I love your food. But your service has gone down too much. read more

Worst possible customer service ever. Went around 3 pm. Place was super empty. It took them about 5 minutes for them to sit us and 10 more minutes for a waiter to come because we said something. Walked out immediately and told them they needed a better customer service and the manager told me I needed to calm down. I had not said anything hoping it was just couple of bad days. Well my wife picked up 3 meals this afternoon. My wife got the chicken salad , chicken was very over cooked and hard and this was the best meal! I had the parrpadelle with meat balls ( meat balls were OK) pasta was mushy and sauce was salty and was filled with raw onion??? My son had the chicken parm, the chicken is burnt and the pasta sauce SALTY as hell... 100 bucks for 3 meals I will happily pay to have a good meal and help out a local business, but never again at Piola... read more

Famous because of their pizza but not just that, they earned my husbands and my heart with Pedro's service! Top of the line service, explaining everything, gave us great suggestions, and always around us, his sympathy was all to feel us comfortable and really want to go back soon. The Carpaccio was sooo fresh, meat cutted thin to perfection with arugula and parmesan cheese (that was our appetizer) we ordered the Capricciosa pizza suggested by Pedro it was ham, mushrooms and artichokes, great taste, u can feel the coal fired too, also ordered a Margherita (free thanks to Yelp) and it was absolutely delicious, is a thin pizza but i don't need more. Can't stop coming back here... I think I've been to this place enough times (3 to be exact lol) to write a decent and honest review. Pros: - Love the atmosphere and vibe to the restaurant. They have awesome colorful lanterns hanging from the ceiling - Indoor/outdoor seating - Friendly staff, the owner (or at least I thin he is) always comes to greet me and my friends and ask us how our meal is - A lot of freakin pizzas to choose from, red and white sauce pizzas with a variety of toppings - The red sangria is the BOMB (white is ok) - They always have deals!!! 1. Entrees 2 for 1 Monday-Thursday after 10pm. 2. Girls buy 1 entree and get unlimited house wine (Merlot or Chardonnay) starting at 7pm on Thursdays... And I'm pretty sure there's a bunch more. It's one of the very few places open LATE in the area! Nice to note if you need to grab a bite after 9-10 pm (the time most restaurants close). And take advantage for the 2-for-1 entree deal after hours too! My friend Belle brought me here (thank you!) for lunch, shocked I haven't been here yet, and after my experience here, I'm shocked too. It's pretty darn good! For a place that sells pizza and pasta, you essentially think it's fast food, but it's still quite a dining experience. You get complimentary bread that you can dip in olive oil + balsamic vinegar + parmesan (already provided at the table). Friendly staff, and even the manager visited the table a few times. Ordered two pizzas: the Copenhagen (brie + smoked salmon) and the Margharita (free from Yelp check-in deal). Both pizzas tasted REALLY good. I know the Margharita is one of the most basic pizzas out there, but don't underestimate it, it's not so bad! Belle also recommended another pizza to try for next time, and trust me, there will be a next time. Also, just to note a few things: you can upgrade the dough to whole-wheat for a small price (I forget, could be $1-2), and the pies are pretty big (compared to the pies from CPK or Mellow Mushroom). Dessert is affordable too (well, the Nutella pizza is the most expensive being $11 but everything else is much less, and for a dessert pizza, that isn't bad), and so we had the pannacotta. I've had better, but it wasn't so bad. I'd probably try another dessert item next time. The wait wasn't terrible, customer service is on point, and I had a enjoyable time catching up with one of my closest friends from college. A very good first-visit experience. This is no ordinary pizza restaurant. It's more like a blaze pizza meets fancy dining with Spanish fusion. Each of the pizza on the menu are all personal size and you pick when flavors and toppings you want. I ordered the Honolulu pizza and it was okay. Wow, good quality pizza west of I-75!! We were seated immediately on a busy saturday night. I think it has to do with their great staff and quick attention. We ordered two different pizzas: Margherita (got for free through the nifty yelp app at check-in) & Diavola, which had spicy salami. Both came out really hot and the crust was on the thin side, but so yummy! We also ordered two white sangria's, and they were divine. Just the correct amount of sweetness and alcohol combined. I definitely loved their colorful decor! We sat outside this time, as the weather was great and it was very nice. 3.5 stars. Waaaayyyyyy too many pizzas on the menu. Just when you think you've read them all, they have another section on white pizzas. Just pick about ten and do those really, really well. The crust is thin, but kind of limp. Not soggy, just not enough body to hold the ingredients. Folding turned out to be the only way to go. I used the free Margherita Pizza with the Yelp app. Two problems with this--one, a cheese pizza arrived instead of a Margherita. We were on a schedule to see a movie, and the person who got it said it was fine. Then when the bill came, the "free" pizza was on the bill, even though the waiter had actually taken my phone from my hand and pressed all the buttons to "verify" this offer. I had a drink with pineapple and mint that was actually quite good--not too sweet. Still prefer Doughboys pizza to this. read more

I have visited a few Piola locations ( SoBe and Hallandlae), and they have now even locations on South America. I liked this location because it is close to home, not crowded and nice. Drinks and food are solid like in most Piola's but the service here is really nice too. Salads were great as was our capricciosa pizza and tagliatelli pasta with excellent bolognese sauce. This was our first experience of Piola, and we came back very satisfied. Our veggie pizza was full of toppings, and tasted yummy. The service is pretty good, and I liked that she asked if we had to catch a movie show at the theater next door. First time here and I really liked it! The wait was pretty long though and any other person would give them a horrible review because of it, but the waiter as well as the hostess and other staff members kept apologizing for the wait and thanking us for being patient. I do really appreciate when the staff makes every effort and acknowledges that they're being too slow. Not sure what was wrong if it was the cook or just being backed up. Unfortunately, we saw a party leave because they were upset it was taking so long. I'm still recommending it because we had great service, the waiter was very attentive and also answered our questions since my daughter is vegan, they had a couple of options. Just for that, at least I know there's a pizza place with vegan options and close to the movie theater and cold stone :) read more

Loved this new neighborhood spot! Pizza was light, thin, chewy and crispy. The wine was complimentary (ladies night on Thursday ) and the Rasberry caipiroska was amazing. This local hidden spot is a sweet Neighborhood gem. And let me jut say how lovely the ambiance was with the live Brazilian Lounge music.... The service and attention was spot on! BEST pizza in all of South Florida. Thin crust and made in a wood fire oven with any of your favorite toppings. The crust is crunchy, yet the texture is elastic. The cheese melts in your mouth. We are regulars...the food is great, their drinks are awesome, and the overall ambiance is fantastic. Price is good. Lets start with the food. Their pizzas are to die for - fresh mozzarella, or pineapple and ham...pizaa bianca...they have everything under the sun in that oven style that makes them so perfect. Their pasta...WOW. My favorite is the Penne Cividalle, creamy sauce with pancetta, rosemary and tomatoes. To die for. My husband loves the bolognese and my kids will never leave anything on the plate when they share a lasagna. The chicken parm is divine - the melted mozzarella and olive on top os the perfect combination with a side of marinara spaghetti. We love this dish. They have the most delicious caipirinhas - strawberry, or kiwi...freshly ground for the drinks and one-of-a-kind. And the service is great. Disappointing! First of all, the service was horrible. It took close to 20 minutes for someone to stop by at our table. Them no plates, no silverware, no appetizers served to our table. We order 3 pizza and after over an hour we gave up. One pizza got to our table after we complained but we waited one more hour and nothing was served.
