I had actually been wanting to go to this place for a long while. I love NY style pizza, and I had heard nothing but good things about their pizza. The pizza was indeed delicious but I'll get to that later. The decor was nice, it was casual and inviting. The service was crazy good. When I walked in with my wife, my wife was talking to me about how her phone was dying. The host literally said "I'm sorry if I overheard you, but we can offer you a charger". That's a very nice thing for them to do, a big plus. When we sat down, we examined the menu and were enticed by all the selections. I didn't want to get carried away (as I normally do when I find a new place) so we ordered a Margherita pizza as an appetizer and I ordered chicken piccata with fettuccine alfredo. Omg... everything was so delicious! The pizza was light and tasty. They brought over some fresh parmesan, without even having to request it. It was delicious, the sauce was sweet and popped with flavor. The crust is thin and you can easily tell they make their own dough. I normally don't eat the crust because I wanna make room for toppings (I know, the pizza debate) but I actually ate the crust. Not a big deal i know, but uncharacteristic for me. The chicken was ridiculously good, I mean seriously good. I can recommend this place wholeheartedly and without the slightest reservation. Even my wife (who tends to be picky and not ever fired up about restaurants) said these guys easily deserved 5 stars. We will have to go back because we didn't stick around for the after dinner fare, and we really wanted to too... oh well, someday soon I hope lol. We actually ordered two pizzas to go, one for me and one for our kid that didn't get to go with us. It's very hard for a place to be perfect, but this place was close. If I had to offer one suggestion however: the pizzas are great and light. The one we ordered was $8 which is reasonable. The problem comes in with how light it is. For $8, I can get a pizza at a pizza chain that would be larger and much more filling. The taste wouldn't get anywhere near Piolas, but it's just worth a thought. Maybe make the pizzas bigger? First time here and I really liked it! The wait was pretty long though and any other person would give them a horrible review because of it, but the waiter as well as the hostess and other staff members kept apologizing for the wait and thanking us for being patient. I do really appreciate when the staff makes every effort and acknowledges that they're being too slow. Not sure what was wrong if it was the cook or just being backed up. Unfortunately, we saw a party leave because they were upset it was taking so long. I'm still recommending it because we had great service, the waiter was very attentive and also answered our questions since my daughter is vegan, they had a couple of options. Just for that, at least I know there's a pizza place with vegan options and close to the movie theater and cold stone :) read more

Great place to eat! I used to go to the Piola on Lincoln Road, Miami Beach all the time and having recently moved to Davie, FL I was pretty excited to find out that they had a location here! Not only is the food excellent but the service is great too! The servers are very attentive to their customers. Excellent place to eat! Everything on this menu is fantastic. Came here with friends and family and I had the Rimini pizza which has ricotta cheese topped with smoked salmon and parsley. My friend had the Rio De Janeiro which had oven pulled chicken breast, catupiry cheese and a dash of parsley. Incredible! As an appetizer my husband and I shared the Italia Unita which had a daily selection of sliced meats and cheeses served with bread and jam. Incredible! Disappointing! First of all, the service was horrible. It took close to 20 minutes for someone to stop by at our table. Them no plates, no silverware, no appetizers served to our table. We order 3 pizza and after over an hour we gave up. One pizza got to our table after we complained but we waited one more hour and nothing was served. I paid extra for some garlic on my pizza and they just coated it in garlic powder versus putting some fresh garlic on top lightly, the entire pizza was inedible because it tasted like cold, soggy garlic grease bread. Order the chicken parmigiana with white sauce and received chicken parmigiana with red sauce freezing cold and soggy as could be. The cheese on top of the chicken had solidified into a solid slice of cheese and the red sauce just tasted like plain canned tomatoes with no flavor. Ended up having to go to the drive thru at McDonald's because the food was disgusting and inedible. Spent almost $50 to end up replacing my meal myself. Terrible experience and so inconsiderate that they couldn't read a simple receipt or do the right thing. I have gone to Piola many times, in fact it's my favorite date night spot so it's not my first time ordering from here. read more

Never order delivery from this place. They said it would take 1:15min for the delivery to come and I was ok with that. It took 1:40, pizza was stone cold, sodas were charged for and did not come, desert was completely melted. Piola is a great little spot in the Sheridan Shoppes. We've been here a couple of times and have yet to try something we did not like. The best place for eat pizza BUT you have to wait around 10-15 minutes to be seated and 20 minutes for received the menu, 20 minutes more for drinks, when the pizza is ready you'll receive cold. This is a Solid pizza place. The bacon, ham, and cheese pizza is quite delicious. My husband and I usually share a Cesar salad and a pizza. The price is just right.
