Not bad. But not super impressed. My sister had been raving about this restaurant for months so we finally decided to join her for dinner. Our waiter was very friendly and made good recommendations. We started with the garlic bread twists served with tomato sauce. Wow! The bread was so soft and tasty, as was the tomato sauce. I could've eaten ten of these! My boyfriend ordered the lime caipirinha which was good. It wasn't made the traditional way with brown sugar so it tasted different than I am used to but still drinkable. I had the pappardelle bolognese which was also just ok. My sister got the pollo piola which was pretty good. Pollo piola is chicken breat stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese covered in a white, creamy mushroom sauce and served with crispy potatoes. The sauce makes the dish! My boyfriend ordered the margherita pizza which is thin crusted. I was disappointed with it because it eas just regular cheese pizza with basil on top. My boyfriend loved it though. For dessert we shared an order of profiteroles. Basically they are cream puffs stuffed with ice cream and covered in chocolate. If you like cream puffs you will like this dessert. You can dine in, but due to the situation, I ordered via the Piola App and got a 10% discount. The service is very good and during normal days you may have to wait for a table at the weekend. I've been to Piola in Hallandale but as soon as I found out that one opened in my area, I was all over it. It's been over 2.5 years and I STILL come to piola often. I love their food, so does my family. It's as close to "home cooked" as you can get. The drinks are refreshing and different because they use fresh fruit and when it comes to alcohol, they don't skimp out on the "good stuff". Tiramisu is amazing and not too sweet, just right. Profiteroles are amazing. Nutella pizza, while slightly more expensive, is also amazing. The atmosphere is family friendly and they even allow dogs in the patio. They provide a little dog bowl and everything. Anyway, all in all, I love this place. I would highly recommend to anyone to try. 10/10. read more

Every time I've been here it's always been a great experience. Not only does the place have a chill atmosphere but the people who work there are the best. Our server Nicholas was amazing, he was very attentive and friendly. The bartender Matheus was friendly as well. A big thank you to the manager Juan, he was very nice and he treated us so well. He was there to check on us and make sure we had a great experience which we definitely did. Not to mention the food is absolutely delicious! I think the best part is the fact we decided to come on a Thursday which is ladies night so I got myself a free glass of wine. Honestly the best service I've had in awhile. The lime caipirinha was delicious! The amount of alcohol in the drink was perfect. We went for the unlimited gnocchis for around 16 dollars a plate, the sauces were very good. The gnocchis on the other hand were very bland. No salt, no pepper, or any kind of flavor to them. The wait was also pretty long. The restaurants had many open tables, but they seemed to be struggling with the amount of staff they had. It seemed like they were unable to pick up the pace. read more

Very consistent, very fresh. The only issue is the wine selection really blows, they have a half price wine list but they never have anything on that list! Pretty hungry on a weeknight, we sorted by "open now" on the Yelp app. It was getting somewhat late and when we arrived there was literally not one person in the restaurant. We take a seat and the waiter immediately tells us they have buy one get one free entrees Mon-Thurs after 10pm! Damn, what a deal! You can mix and match pastas and pizzas - so we did just that. First I started with a carpaccio - while it was a massive serving - it wasn't too amazing. It was good, but not great. I don't think I'd order it again. The server asked if we wanted some bread for the table, sure, why not! I didn't realize that the bread was $7. It was some damn good ciabatta but wasn't expecting it to be so pricey - especially for the size. Next I got a white pizza and the wife got gnocchi. My pizza was incredible. Super thin, crispy crust with ricotta, basil and a few pieces of chopped up tomatoes. It's also a pretty large serving. The gnocchi was probably the best thing we had and luckily the wife was getting full and left me a little to finish off. Dipping the rest of that bread (and my crust) into the sauce that came with the gnocchi was the right thing to do. The service was stellar. Even though they were closing up, our server told us that there was no rush when we asked for the bill. We really just couldn't eat anymore - we were stuffed. He also grabbed an extra table for us before the food came out since just one table is rather small. All around, great service. Their menu is pretty massive - mainly consisting of a variety of pizzas. They even have whole wheat options. Plus some traditional Italian pasta dishes. What a great find! This place is modern and the food and service are great. This is located in the cinemark plaza. I found out this is a chain restaurant but it truly does not feel like it at all. The restaurant is big, clean, and everything looks new. They have a great wine and beer selection on tap (found a new favorite Schöfferhofer). We ordered a ceasar salad which for me beat outback's (yes they make a mean ceasar salad). We also got a pizza can't remember the name but it had delicious spicy sausage. My only complaint is that I wish it had more meat. I really enjoyed this place. It has this exciting vibe about it. Can't wait to come back and try some of the pasta dishes. The pizza at Piola was really good! They have an extensive list of pizzas, both regular and white. They bring out bread with olive oil, cheese, vinegar and other pizza toppings while you wait for your pizza. I do think they have too many pizzas on their menu too, which isn't a bad thing for some people! It just makes it more difficult to choose as a lot of those pizzas are really similar to the other ones. The pizza took like 10 minutes tops to come out from when we had ordered. I like that their pizza is thin crust so you don't feel disgustingly full from all of the bread without enjoying the pizza toppings. I had the San Daniele and it was topped with prosciutto. Delicious!!! Boyfriend had the Quattro Formaggi and enjoyed his as well. I like that they have really good pizza specials for the type of whole pie, personal pizzas they offer. If you can't get the bread right, how can you possible get an entree right? Got here early to beat the "lunch rush" only realize no one comes here. And after my lunch I can understand why. I was not impressed with the hoards of people waiting outside and blocking the whole entrance inside to the pick up area. I had tried for delivery but the wait time was over an hour so I went in to pick it up. I think the place is the latest craze and in 2 years it will be empty like so many other places in the area. The pizza was small, cold and didn't hardly have any sauce. The crust was good but not worth the drive, the crowd or the price. Just to be fair, I will go back on a week night and try something other than the pizza. Out of the whole place I liked the bar the best and would probably stop in sometime for a drink. Amazing! Defiantly 5 star worthy for the pizza. I've only been here twice and each time ordered different pizzas (so this 5 star review applies only to the pizza, although I'm sure the actual dishes here are just as great). The staff here are extremely friendly and knowledgable they offer honest advice with a smile. At any pizzeria you should expect parmesan cheese but this place gives you the freshest one I have ever had in any resturant, and the best part is it's on the table! Great Italian spot! Very cute for a date night or a night out with friends. Their food is really good. We had a white pizza and the Chicken Parmesan. Both are enough to share so we had plenty of leftovers (we were only 2). From what I read on their signs, they offer a great happy hour and also ladies night on Wednesdays. Good fresh pizza with rare toppings! This is not a typical pizza place, thank god. We got the Bella Napoli(baked eggplant with tomato sauce and mozzarella) as an appetizer which was awesome! Perfectly crunchy even under the tomato sauce and mozzarella. It tasted great lightly dipped in oil and vinegar with a little bit of parmesan sprinkled on. I was torn between the Ortomisto (Roasted eggplants, spinach, roasted sweet peppers and broccoli topped with cherry tomatoes) and the the Quattro Formaggi (Gorgonzola, brie and grated parmesan cheese). I usually always get a pizza with lots of toppings on it so the Ortomisto was my first choice but I really wanted to see what the crust and sauce was like before I started loading it up with toppings, so I got the Quattro Formaggi, which was recommended by our waitress. It was very good, very fresh and perfectly crunchy and creamy. My friend got the Braccio Di Ferro (Ricotta cheese and spinach, he added pepperoni to it), he didn't love that the ricotta cheese was in really thick dollops on the pizza and ended up spreading it out a little thinner, but loved the quality of the pizza and will try something different next time. I brought the free margherita pizza (through yelp deal) back to my mom and she loved it, she said "This is my new pizza place!" All around everyone loved it. We ordered a few different drinks, the Lime Caipirinha was very good, tasted similar to a margarita (this was my first time having one), the Kiwi and Strawberry Caipiroska tasted super fresh and light like summer, the Red Sangria wasn't a big hit but Sangria isn't generally LOVED by us. The WINNER WINNER was definitely the Sgroppino Al Limone (Lemon gelato and Vodka). A desert drink for sure, but super delicious. Shout out to our awesome server Jessyca, she was prompt and helpful and right there when you needed her. We used to love the place. Food was delish and high quality. Portions were generous. Manager used to come to the table to check on customers. All the food, salads, pizzas, pasta were amazing. We were there very often. Lately, service is very slow, you have to ask 1000 times for bread, portions are considerably smaller and the pizza was awful. I was originally looking to get a pizza but I turned up ordering their lasagna with a side of fresh squeezed limeade (not lemonade). My husband ordered their ricotta and spinach stuffed chicken with potatoes and as an appetizer we ordered the guacamole with toasted bread. The guac was de-li-cious! It had your typical fresh ingredients like tomatoes and red onions which I love, but instead of cilantro they put basil. Ahhh! The lasagna portion is HUGE! It was a great balance between cheesy, meaty, and tasty. I was pleasantly full (instead of painfully full...you know we've all been there). My husband's greedy self didn't share his chicken but I stole a few mushrooms when he wasn't looking and the sauce was pretty tasty. Finally, my limeade was tasty too but for the $4.25 I paid, I thought I'd at least get serves in a tall glass instead of the short one I got. I gulped that in a second. The food was really yummy and the server was GREAT! Our servers name was Lucas, and he was really helpful with helping us chose our order. He even made me an off the menu Strawberry Mojito (with the limes too), it was so good that when the person I was with, tried it, they ordered one too. Carpaccio Nabucco - Was good and I really liked the salad it came with. But I wasn't a fan of the capers. Today I learned although I love capers, I don't like them with carpaccio, you live and you learn. Piola had been on my list to try for awhile now! We went Saturday at around 545! We walked in and waited for a few minutes until the super unfriendly hostess returned. We decided to wait at the bar until a booth was ready. We each had a mojito which was made well. Once we were seated we ordered the tomato mozzarella app salad, then the Italian pizza and chicken parm. The food wasn't bad but the service was horrible. Our server never returned but once after we ordered. We could barely flag any one down for oil, vinegar, and parm cheese. Our overall experience was just not good and fun like a date night should be.
