Hear me out. I've been going to the same kbbq spot for the past 5-7 years and it always satisfies my craving. Tried this place because I caught up with old friends and this is their go-to spot. I felt like I was cheating on my place just being there. It's a circular restaurant and I think it was an old Spires restaurant. IYKYK Typical busy atmosphere for a Saturday night. We ordered brisket and pork belly. I was studying the menu to see the other meat selections and it just didn't grab me. The meats we had tho were pretty good. We also ordered tofu soup. I thought they forgot about them but apparently they make it fresh so it takes a minute to get to your table. The soup was delicious. It had a good balance of spice and temperature heat to it. I enjoyed it very much. The pickled cucumbers were a little thick for my liking but they were still good. Great ending with ice cream. My friends ordered green tea and I ordered cookies and cream. Really good. Overall, 8/10. Will try again to order other meats.

This place is alright. Quality of meat is so-so. But they were able to easily seat our larger party size of 10ppl. Service was also decent. Personally, I was not impressed. And with that, no plans of coming back. Stick to k-town for the good stuff!

Service is so much better than gen bbq. Spicy tofu pot and shrimp and brisket is delicious.

Came here with my roommates on a whim! We had a craving for non-marinated meats and this place was closest to us and the most affordable so we swung by! We came to dine around 6:30p, a party of 3, and were seated in less than 5 minutes. Our waiter, Mike, was absolutely wonderful. He was very attentive and kind, absolutely no notes for him! The restaurant itself was a bit loud with music for our taste, but i've come to expect that with most KBBQ places. The meats offered were very yummy, especially their cuts of brisket! To DIE for!! We tried out their cilantro pork belly, it was more of an herb-spiced pork belly rather than cilantro. It wasn't my cup of tea, but my roommates seemed to enjoy it a bit. It reminded me a lot of a salsa verde marinade. We ended our night with ice cream! 1 Cookies N' Cream and 2 Rainbow Sherbet. Best flavors they could have offered! I can definitely see myself coming back here, their food was delicious and their service was to a T.

Now that the CA governor has implemented the mandatory closures of dine-in restaurants, what are the daily hours of operation? Or are they still the same permanently?

There is no way this can be a dine-in restaurant. This is a dine-in place. Be real.

From the friendly service that made us feel like home, to the delicious food, everything hit the spot. We ordered the cold noodle, seafood pancake, bibambap, and short rib combo. All the dishes were so good! And all the banchan that came with it was the cherry on top. The only negative was the table was kind of small for all the dishes...though that could have been user error with us ordering way too much. Portions were surprisingly big, especially the seafood pancake. The whole time, our littlest one was making a mess and the ladies that worked there did not seem perturbed at all, and kept commenting about how cute he was and interacting with him. This type of service and response made us feel more at ease and able to "enjoy" our meal, and that makes a world of difference. I would recommend! Note the parking lot is a little small.

My mom also tried this place and recommended it, so I felt confident this would be a spot I would be coming often. We ordered the naengmyeon combo with spicy marinated pork and a side of soybean paste stew. The lady was nice when she seated us, but seemed a little bothered when we only ordered the above items, because she coldly asked "if that was all" and we said yes. She walked away then yells back asking if we wanted rice because rice wasn't included, and we said no. Despite the rough start with the vibe of the lady who took our order I was still hopeful the food itself would make up for it. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. I've never had naengmyeon that had so much chili flakes, and as someone who doesn't mind them, it was weird. The soybean paste soup was bland. And the side dishes were just okay. After the meal, I got really thirsty and my face was puffy so they are using msg. If it was a good meal, I wouldn't have minded the msg, but for food that was mediocre at best was not worth it. Although I won't be back, I did see people ordering for take out nonstop, so there must be some other dish that is giving them customers.

If you like seafood, Mhat is known for their mackerel and cod dishes. We wanted to try everything but ended up sharing their Bul Nak Jun Gol which was a bulgogi and octopus casserole soup. The waitress just then gave her a bib but the damage had already been done. The Bulgogi and Katsu took the longest to come out but they were the highlights of our meal. Service: We were the only table at the time and our waitress only gave us 2 menus for a table of 6 so we had to go grab our own from other tables. After we graduated, we promised to have a little reunion here as adults when we were old enough to drink. This little reunion happened recently. My little sister, who is 17, knew I was meeting my friends for dinner and asked if she could come. Since I knew we would be drinking, I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if she could sit with us since she wouldn't be drinking. They said no. If we were drinking, she couldn't be there. I thought it was unfortunate, but I told my sister she couldn't come to dinner with us. But what was really annoying is that after we ordered alcohol, our server didn't card us. I went out of my way to uninvite my sister because they said she couldn't be there, and they didn't even check. I thought it was a dumb rule in the first place, but it was really annoying that they didn't even enforce it after I went out of my way to ask. The pork belly skewers were really good. I can see why we used to come all the time as kids. Smoky and crispy. There's a big super traditional looking grill at the front of the restaurant, so I guess they're super serious about their skewers. The okonomiyaki was good too. We decided to try the rose tteokbokki since it was a new menu item, but we were unimpressed. There were barely any toppings inside. We also got the steamed squid, but I thought it was a bit overcooked. We might've stayed a little longer, but the sight of a cockroach climbing on our table sent a chill down our spines. We told a server that we saw a cockroach, but she just stared at us blankly and walked away without doing anything. After that, we had serious issues about the perceived cleanliness of the restaurant and left immediately.  I'm disappointed. In the end, I didn't get the warm and fuzzy nostalgic feeling I was yearning for. I think there were several interactions with the workers that they could have handled better. I cleared my little side quest, so I don't think I have a reason to ever return.
