Stopped here for lunch on our way to Arizona and even though the building looks a bit intimidating, the menu is was just what we were looking for - fun burgers and sandwiches. Tater Tots as a side - hello, yes! We were able to bring our dogs inside through to the outdoor patio and the service was great! Loved the gal who took our order and the cook who brought our food. Loved this place. Great food. Gave my Mom a free beer because there was a mix up with her ticket, but she still had her meal with plenty of time to eat with the rest of us. Simple menu, but everything is so cheap! With large portions. I got delicious chicken strips and have some for lunch tomorrow. We also met both owners while we were there. Don't stop at the Pit Stop! I Heard the Bloody Mary's were the best in town! Nope not true! The grill was closed so we ordered fried foods. The fried pickles were terrible, I ate 1/2 a pickle out of my entire order. The sampler platter was also terrible it seemed as if it's been awhile since they changed their grease. The drinks didn't get us buzzed and the waitress never followed up with us (she was busy on her phone). This place sucks! read more

Fun little hole-in-the-wall, reminds me of the small town taverns in central Minnesota where I grew up. Service was definitely good, and friendly. I'm pretty sure this is my first review. We found this place on Yelp on the way home for Vegas. We had read another review that said it wasn't kid friendly so we were a little skeptical, sent my husband in to check it out. They were great with our kids, even put cartoons on the TV for them!! We had burgers wich were great, hand made patties!! My in laws had a club sandwich which was so big they couldn't finish it between the 2 of them. My husband and I had bloody marys, so good, I wish I could have had more, but somebody had to drive. The bartender/server was so sweet, and all the locals were amazing, and very friendly. I wish we had a place like this where we live. This will definitely be our go to place on the way to and from Vegas!! read more

We came here with 12 people on the way back from Vegas. It was such a great experience. It looks like a pit stop, complete with pool tables and dart board. The kids got to play pool while waiting for food. Waitress and owner were super nice. We had burgers and chicken wings, jalapeño poppers, onion rings and curly fries. Great bar... Recently moved to Barstow and this is my bar of choice. Great food, and atmosphere.

This place is a total dive, and I mean that in the best sense. The bar area had three mis-matched tables, but there are more tables back with the pool tables. We had to wait a few minutes to order because a previous table was using the only four menus. A chalkboard advertised tacos for $1.75, but since they were ground beef, I went for a Cuban burger and Stella on tap. The burger is what you would get if you mated a Cuban sandwich with a burger -- a thick juicy patty with ham, cheese and pickles. It was pretty good and my onion rings and my wife's curly fries were on point. There is free wi-fi and they take cards. What more could you want? read more

A total hole in the wall, but what it lacks in ambiance it makes up in food and service. We met, a group of school friends, for the first time in 42 years, and this was the midway point for us. We spent a pleasant afternoon catching up. The food was really delicious, the portions were large, and the bartender was really sweet. The waitress told us it used to be a Moose Lodge before her family bought it and converted into a bar. It's in an industrial looking area just off the highway and you have to hunt to find it. It's worth it. Especially if you've made the terrifying journey to Mega Tom's and fled in horror, like we did. The burgers were terrific and tasty. The waitress and other patrons were friendly. It's not stylish but the food was dandy. Green chile was authentic, too. I'll go there again. read more

Taking the advice of other Yelpers, we stopped here on our way to Vegas. The burgers were awesome! They were at least an inch and a half thick and juicy! No tater tots, but the curly fries were lovely and the onion rings were outstanding. No hot onion slime on your chin! I would have given this review five stars but they didn't have beer on tap, nor soda fountain drinks. Still, the bathroom was immaculate. We ate here on a Friday and there were maybe 6-8 people in the bar. Took 15 minutes to get something to drink. Food was pretty good (tater tots were good!). Server never checked back with us after bringing our food. Had to go up to bar to get our check. Servers were outside having a smoke. read more

If you're in Barstow, you must be military or made bad decisions in your life. Personally, my brothers and I loved it. If you can get aside the crazy cat drunk lady yelling at you for being military it is a win. My burger was cooked just right although crazy cat lady yelled at me while i was eating my burger. "Open your mouth!!!" She said, but I would do it again crazy cat drunk lady if you're reading this. Her ex husband was apparently CIA and special forces and killed multiple terrorists. Great food, a really friendly staff and a great venue come together to make this place awesome to go to. When you consider that when I visited this place as the final stop of a charity motorcycle ride and a few hundred hungry bikers came in at once and the service was still outstanding should tell you how great the staff is at this place. The menu is pretty basic, bar food fare but the portions are big, the food is well prepared and the prices are great a rare combination. Definitely go with the onion rings with your burger, they are excellent. If you are passing though Barstow and need a bite to eat this is definitely the place to stop. read more

I found this place through Yelp. I Litterally stood outside wondering if it was a private building. But once inside I realized it's very laid back. I was on a road trip going home or I would have loved to put a few long necks back, but I had a sprite with my burger instead. The Burger was really good. Seriously. Scale of 1-10 it was up there around an 8. Bat tender was a little quiet but sweet. The guy who brought my burger from the back was like stealth mode. I had to ask the bar tender for something to put on my burger as it comes dry. They appear to make their own party and use fresh good quality cheese. Bun was a great quality thick loaf style bun. Upon identifying myself as a first-timer, I was welcomed to the bar and began a delightful evening of great food, drink, and conversation. The Frisco burger was perfect for me and the large Stella a great match. I was lucky to sit next to an off duty bartender and her manager, who kept me laughing and well entertained until I left. Since I don't know Barstow well, I used Yelp to find a place for lunch. Based on the good reviews, I decided to try this place. It is a bit strange looking from the outside and I wasn't sure what to expect. It is definitely a local hangout, but I wouldn't call it a dive bar. The place is just a beer bar, no cocktails. There were some tvs on to watch sports and there were some pool tables. The burger I had was ok, nothing to write home about. The onion rings were good. The service was good. Definitely fairly priced. I'm not sure it was good enough for me to go back next time I'm driving thru Barstow. But, I can see the appeal for locals. read more

Hubby was a little reluctant about the place, especially once you're inside. It's a hole in the wall, with interesting race car/beer decor (definitely inspired by a dude!). It is super clean which makes me overlook their interior! Hubby ordered the Western Burger and me the Frisco Burger. They were both delicious, although if you like spicy food definitely go with Frisco! We had curly fries and onion rings, and liked the onion rings more. This place is good and cheap. read more
