I got the gyro plate that came with rice (choice of rice, potatoes, or fries), Greek salad, pita, veggie skewer, and choice of protein (in my case, deliciously tender and freshly shaved gyro!) You. Get. So. Much. Food! Now, I will say that I also had some appetizers before my actual meal came. Our table ordered the calamari and dip combo (melitzanosalata [eggplant] and skordalia [garic] were my two favorites!) I definitely recommend getting at least one dip on top of your entree. Now let's get into this entree, honey! The gyro was tender, flavorful, and was not as salty as some other places I've been to, which I so appreciate because I'm quite sensitive to salt. The tzatziki that accompanied the gyro plate was wonderful - refreshing and such a nice complimentary taste and texture to your meal. I love a good fluffy rice pilaf and Pita Pitaki definitely delivered. Again, the grilled veggie skewer was a great addition to all that protein you get. The Greek salad had a big dollop of feta cheese and dressed with seasonings, balsamic vinaigrette, and olive oil. Long story short. Do not be dissuaded by the strip mall appearance and location of Pita Pitaki, but welcome the casual, straight-to-the-point, authentic Greek meal you're about to indulge in. read more

First off, my husband is a chef and we regularly eat out at 2-3 places and that's it because it can be hard to please a chef- when it comes to food. That being said- Pita Pitaki is one of the places we eat at pretty much every week. The food is always consistently delicious and fresh. The Greek salads aren't the type where it's some wilted lettuce and a rotten tomato- their salads are always fresh and the chunks of feta are the size of my palm. The serving sizes are more than generous and is usually end up eating my food for more than 1 meal. Amazing customer service, clean restaurant, good food, etc.... I wanted lamb chops, but I don't like char, so before ordering, I asked if they could be cooked on the flat top or in a pan. The cook said no. I stepped out of the ordering line, waited for my turn again & asked if the lamb chops could be chargrilled rare so as to have little char. When the cashier asked Christina, she looked at me unfriendly, & said in a mean tone, "It's CHAR grilled." She could've just said no & without the attitude. I stepped out of line again (even though they weren't busy) & returned to the counter again. My food was delivered to my table, but there were no Kalamata olives on my Greek salad. I went to the counter & nicely & politely informed the cashier they'd mistakenly left off the olives & I asked for a side of olives. She just looked at me, & I told her she could check my salad since it was just delivered. She asked Christina & Christina gave me a plastic container with 5 Kalamata olives. I added them to my salad. Christina came later to the table & said people don't eat the Kalamata olives & they throw them away & they're expensive, so I should have just asked for extra Kalamata olives. I told her, I didn't want extra I just wanted what was supposed to be on the salad as advertised & that I did not get ANY. She just looked at me & repeated herself about the expense & that it was no problem asking for extra since I was going to eat them & they wouldn't throw them away. She was also unfriendly when I handed her the bathroom key & said thank you. I treated her like I work there & she acted like she was the unhappy patron. It says a lot about a customer service individual when the patron is providing the customer service & the employee or owner is being dismissive & rude. The Greek salad was alright, but the lamb gyros tasted like it was cut with some kind of sausage. Unpleasant owner makes for an unpleasant experience. OMG this place is amazing!!!! I discovered it by chance when I was working at a shop nearby and I wanted a gyro for lunch and this just so happened to be the closest place and I couldn't be more thrilled because this is honestly the best gyro I have ever had. It was so good I stopped by again on my way home to pick up dinner for my family. They are not stingy with the meat and their gyros are fresh, flavorful, very thoughtfully packed (the wrapping is tight and neat and has a foil layer underneath the paper to keep the heat in and maintain freshness) and the prices are fair.
