Let me start by saying I've been a customer for close to 15 years thru the different ownerships and with that being said, I obviously enjoyed the pizza, it was never the best but always consistent. I stopped by Thursday evening and was stunned to see that a pizza costs over $40 - that's not a typo - I could literally take a walk around the corner to whole foods and get an entire pizza for $12, little smaller but not much. I ordered half plain and half tomato - had to explain what a tomato was to 3 people and yet when I picked up the pizza, it was half sun dried tomato. No sorry, yelled at kid in back in another language and told me 10 min. I come back to pick up pizza, now correct but pizza just appeared odd looking - not like the other one. Got back home and first bite was like crunching into a cracker - the dough was literally like the consistency of a cracker, paper thin, burnt on bottom and was literally inedible. In my mind, they substituted it with some cheap crust or something that was disgusting for lack of a better word. You've lost a long time customer and I've already contacted my card to initiate a chargeback. Take this feedback and do something useful with this info, I don't want to be contacted or given free food. You should be ashamed. read more

This place will have you pay a pie's worth for four slices and then take their golden time warming up the already existing pizza slices... it's either owned by a person who has zero awareness or the people who own it can hardly manage. Either way, if you come here, make sure you come with sufficient time to stand around. read more

Possibly the worst price to slice ratio in the whole of California with a side of mediocre Pie. Truly a waste of money, in the whole sense of the term. I was still hungry, and at the same time unimpressed with the quality. For the price they charge I expected slices 3x the size and at least thicker than poster card. We needed a quick tasty bite for us and the "boys" Sunshine and Azul. Pizza Bar did not disappoint. Great service and wonderful pizza. We had the 2 slices and a drink special and it was great. Ours was the Greek pizza no meat and a raspberry tea. The boys loved it too! Sorry we totally spaced taking a picture of the pizza we were just too hungry. Stopped by pretty late in the day so not sure how busy it normally is but we got our food pretty quick in about 10 mins which I loved. We ordered a traditional pepperoni pizza & some tenders tossed in Buffalo sauce (since they were out of wings for the day). The pizza was delicious & the man that took our order was very sweet & gave us extra tenders with fries for our toddler. Ordered the pizza to go so we can eat it in our hotel room near by & he gave us plates & napkins before even asking. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Laguna Beach. read more

We were starving and somebody asked for pizza. He got his pizza and I got my pasta. Fettuccine Alfredo (11.00): fettucine in a light homemade alfredo sauce, served with garlic bread. I liked the garlic bread more than the pasta itself. The cheese on top was good, but the alfredo was too runny and my pasta was overcooked. The service was fast and polite. I bought four pizza slices totaling to $40, an outrageous amount for pizza slices that had mold on them. The mushroom on the mushroom pepperoni pizza had mold growing underneath. After eating it my gf and I started feeling really sick and we couldn't pinpoint why until we tried to eat the leftover slice and saw mold. We bought them at night and ate two slices on the way home so we didn't even see the mold on the mushrooms. Once we got home and tried to eat the remainder two is when we noticed the mold. read more

Must be the worst pizza in OC. Service is fine but food quality is atrocious. In addition, it's dim and dirty and tables not setup at 4:00pm. Words can't describe how bad the pizza is. Also ordered wings but they were not fully cooked (very cold in the middle). We love the little fairy garden at the library around the corner and the kids wanted to try pizza here today. Girls trip to Laguna Beach! We wanted good food for the beach and came across this delicious pizza place. We could smell the amazingness from the outside. Super busy and worth every minute of the wait. They offer vegan cheese which is really helpful. Cute on the inside. We got 2 #3 combos to go. They do have seating inside and outside but I highly recommend finding a place on the beach to really get the full vacation experience. read more

Gourmet pizza that's basically on the beach. I tried the 3 mushroom pesto pizza, which has a delicious pesto flavor and lots of mushrooms. They have a few other unique gourmet pizzas like artichoke chicken pesto and the common toppings as well. They sell by the slice and whole pizzas from personal size to larger sizes. The shop itself isn't very big, but has lots of seating. It can get pretty packed on weekends and holidays, but regardless I highly recommend grabbing a slice or a whole pizza and taking it to eat by the beach and enjoy the view! Parking is difficult in the Laguna Beach area, but you can look for free parking on the side streets or metered parking around. read more

We ordered a Large Cheese Pizza (14", $17) over the phone, so we could bring it back to the beach to chill and eat. It was ready when we went to pick it up after half an hour, so I'm glad we didn't have to wait long. Looking at the display of pizza in store though -- I probably would have passed and gone elsewhere. I can easily eat half a pizza if I wanted to, but I was so over this pizza after just a couple bites. The pizza was very flimsy (doesn't hold it's shape). The dough itself was very bland, no flavor at all and it had a weird bite/chew to it -- not toasty and crispy, but hard, almost like it was old. Overall, I was not impressed. We ordered a medium pizza Half cheese half mushroom With 2 cans of Pepsi, they charged us $38.75. Then we looked at the menu on top and we realized the prices were covered in black tape. 10 minutes after we ordered the pizza we saw paper menus next to the register that said the pizza was only $22. I would assume to add mushrooms to your pizza it would be additional $3.00. So we went up to him and we told him how are we charged $38.75, The person at the register told us that he is trying to make a living and expenses has went up at restaurant depot. So we told him he has to honor the price of what he has next to the register on the printed menus . I had a slice of pepperoni here tonight. For a Saturday night it was not crowded, which is good. It is a place people take their kids though which can make it a little noisy at times. The service was good. They provide metal forks and butter knives. The price is a bit higher but it is Laguna Beach, so a slice that would cost around $3 elsewhere is $6 here. The restaurant is pretty small and dark but the service is friendly. Parking is ridiculously hard without paying. The pizza itself was flat, sweet, and tasty. I don't often taste a pizza as sweet as this so that was different. The slice also had a hint of that smoked flavor that comes from the oven and its qualities. The slice was totally worth trying if you are into gourmet pizza and quantity and money are not of any concern. The taste is worth trying however it is not a value pizza in terms of what you can get for the same money. read more

The cheese pizza was a disappointment. $8.61 for a cheese slice ( I even hesitated when the cashier rang up the price). I've lived in NY and the one thing that I've learned is you can judge a place based off their cheese pizza... if a place's cheese pizza isn't good, chances are the rest of their pizza isn't as well. They didn't even bother to fully cut it into proper slices and we over heard another customer give their back pizza to have them cut it again. It tasted like cardboard. And they maybe put 10 pepperonis on the whole pizza. We Asher if it was possible to order a pizza half pepperoni half cheese & the lady looked at me like I was crazy & said we don't do half. Who doesn't do half?? I ordered a large & she kept saying XL & I said "I'm sorry I think I ordered a L" and the lady said "well we don't have large so you get an XL". So rude. Been coming to this place on and off for over 10 years. I've probably ate here 50+ times over the years back when it was Pizza Lounge and even before. I haven't been back in a few years since Covid. Ouch it's really gone down hill with quality and horrid prices now. Seems like owners recently changed again even though still called Pizza Bar. I get inflation and it's Laguna Beach but still a single slice of cheese has doubled and is like $8+ now. Still expensive at $7 a slice on special but the slices looked decent in size as displayed in case so went ahead with it. They gave us our slice in a to go box. Gets the job done. Decent prices and okay pizza near the beach. I get it - because of their location they do not have to be any good. That said, their pizzas have a few issues that show a lower level of quality- 1) Toppings lay flat on top of the pizza and aren't baked in at all. 2) They have the same issue Domino's had when their pizza was really bad - black charred dust on the bottom of the pizza that suggests that the ovens are rarely cleaned (their pizzas aren't charred in a brick oven so I'm assuming that is due to the ovens being dirty. 3) Crust flimsy and doesn't hold its shape (you almost need a fork to eat it) If you're at the beach just looking to feed some people who enjoy Little Caesars or Domino's, then this is a perfectly good place when you figure in the location. If you have higher standards for pizza, you might go elsewhere. read more

My family and I came to this pizza shop after the terrible service we endured at The Greeters Corner which happens to be down the sidewalk from Pizza Bar. I've left my review for The Greeters Corner so I will not get into it again. Our experience at Pizza Bar is what The Greeters corner should aspire to emulate one day. Great service, great atmosphere, and fantastic pizza. The pizza and wings were phenomenal. I recommend a pepperoni slice and a walk down to the beach. All in all, this pizza spot is fantastic and the customer service matched the food: 10/10 read more

Nov 25, 2022. Don't come here. Only came because restaurant across the street had 2 hour wait. First girl working register had a terrible attitude. Tried to order 4 slices of cheese pizza with a salad. Were told we needed to order 1 at a time. Tables in restaurant were dirty. Fountain drinks were out of everything except Dr Pepper and diet Pepsi. Half of the salad was rotten. No choice on dressing. Pizza was served cold but burned. Sits in a cabinet all day, reheated to order. Ask said girl again for salt, was very rudely told there is salt in my plastic ware packet, there was not. Half the people who entered while I suffered through the meal walked out, wish I would have seen them before I ordered. Girl was also really pissed I didn't leave her a 50% tip.
