My family and I came to this pizza shop after the terrible service we endured at The Greeters Corner which happens to be down the sidewalk from Pizza Bar. I've left my review for The Greeters Corner so I will not get into it again. Our experience at Pizza Bar is what The Greeters corner should aspire to emulate one day. Great service, great atmosphere, and fantastic pizza. The pizza and wings were phenomenal. I recommend a pepperoni slice and a walk down to the beach. TLDR: Spend your $20 elsewhere across the street at any one of the handful of delicious restaurants. Pizza tastes like cardboard and pale dough throughout. Is there just one good baker at this establishment and a bunch of bad ones? The majority of reviewers state the pizza is "meh" with people, far and few, who actually enjoyed the pizza. We ordered a cheese pizza because it's an easy and simple option. Can't really go wrong with it, right? Oh, but it went so wrong. At least the staff was super. Maybe they just need a new chef..who knows. To start, literally no joke, Walmart's ready-baked pizza tastes better than the cheese pizza we ordered. Little Caesar's $5 pizza is like Spago's white truffle pizza compared to what we experienced here. The dough was chewy, yet hard. It was dense like that of a muffin or bagel and looked like the warmed up flatbread from subway. The pizza dough, from top to bottom, was pale white but it wasn't pasty tasting so it seems to be cooked all the way through...but it was just so bland. So bland, that it in picks up the flavor from the cardboard box. The cheese and sauce was nothing to rave about either. Look at the various posted pictures to see the trends of what I'm describing. I should have known and expected the outcome as when I walked in to pick up our order, the pizzas pre-made and on display looked dismal to say the least. The margherita pizza should be simple and fresh looking, yet it looked very depressing with each slice getting one long, hard sliced, sliver of mozzarella cheese and one whole basil leaf if you were lucky (one slice had half a leaf). Nov 25, 2022. Don't come here. Only came because restaurant across the street had 2 hour wait. First girl working register had a terrible attitude. Tried to order 4 slices of cheese pizza with a salad. Were told we needed to order 1 at a time. Tables in restaurant were dirty. Fountain drinks were out of everything except Dr Pepper and diet Pepsi. Half of the salad was rotten. No choice on dressing. Pizza was served cold but burned. Sits in a cabinet all day, reheated to order. Ask said girl again for salt, was very rudely told there is salt in my plastic ware packet, there was not. Half the people who entered while I suffered through the meal walked out, wish I would have seen them before I ordered. Girl was also really pissed I didn't leave her a 50% tip. First time to try...so glad we did! Mozzarella sticks were not over breaded & had a wonderful thin crisp. So satisfying. I don't usually eat thin crust pizza but I really loved the margharita pizza. I think this place can become 5 stars easily, but they need to change some things. The pricing is really high for a pizza... the competition is tough when cheap mega corps like Pizza Hut and Domino's exist but I won't blame them because ingredients probably aren't cheap right now either. But I think changing how the pizzas are made can result in better pizzas and more customers. The chicken tastes very bland and almost like it was boiled. If it was grilled and cut, seasoned right and thrown in the pizza to reheat it would be really good. For the artichokes, I'd use much smaller cuts and leave a bit of the artichoke oil with the pieces, it's what really makes them a tasty topping. The pizzas was also floppy and soggy, light on the sauce and it should fix that problem... but I'm not a pizza expert and I'm sure they are more than capable of running this than I am... just my 2¢. When I came here I was deciding between pizza or gyro and I regret the pizza, the gyro would be more flavorful. read more

This has got to be the worst customer service ever. For an overpriced pizza, the taste is not even worth it. I bought mushroom pizza and they forgot to give it. I had to follow up to get my pizza. I bought sea salt ice cream with double chocolate cookie but I got mint ice cream Instead! Then my bf bought coffee, they forgot the coffee again! The name is now mama something (hispanic name, can't recall) they use the name pizza bar as well. We're staying at a nearby hotel, it got late, we thought we divert from the dominos and try something local and *some* of the pictures looked good so we thought we would give it a shout. We got a cheese pizza that isn't as good as chuckie cheese or, any frozen pizza I've ever had in my life. We got a cheese bread, which was just a disappointing cheese pizza without the sauce. We also got a bbq chicken pizza which was the first time I've ever had red sauce be the base of a bbq chicken which didn't make it good either. Wings, tasted old like that had been sitting all day or were frozen prior. The dough/crust was flavorless and almost like cardboard like. The chicken pizza did have a big amount of chicken on there that was literally the only mark this place got in the plus column. Let's not forget that with 2 medium pizzas, cheese bread, and wings total was 85 bucks before delivery. Same order from dominos woulda been like 25-30 and been way better. We got separate slices: the mushroom pizza which had I think 3 types of mushrooms and cheese, the Hawaiian one (which included bacon, ham, pineapple) and the veggie pizza. All three were delicious. It is a very casual spot and the pizzas were by the counter where it looks ready but needed to be reheated if ordered by the slice. We also tried the poutine fries. They were very good! This spot is HORRIBLE! The wait is extremely long for garbage food. The 10$ garlic Parmesan breadsticks have a rubber cheese with no garlic in sight, it's also extremely small.
