Arrived late in town on a Friday night and had pizza delivered to Marriott marquis. Yelp app stated it would take 45-50 minutes for delivery and it took 40-45. We had a large meaty pizza, I ordered thin crust but maybe they don't have that, not sure, but it was just normal crust, not really thick or thin, but very good. We also had spaghetti, and my only complaint was that it was covered with cheese. It tasted good but had I known I would not have wanted cheese on it. We also had a house salad which was surprisingly good, fresh. To be fair, we were so hungry that we would have eaten anything they delivered but I'd definitely eat here again, it was good. After a long day of traveling, we ordered from this restaurant to be delivered to our hotel. They arrived before the quoted time and we all liked the meals we ordered: cheese pizza for my son, chicken cheesesteak with fried onions for me, chicken Caesar wrap for my husband. I wish my onions we cooked a little more and that there were not so many but I still enjoyed the sandwich. My son's pizza was tasty and had plenty of cheese (no need to order extra). When I called to check in about the order, just to see if there would be a delay, a nice lady answered my question and said the driver had already left with the food. A good experience! We are making an effort to support more businesses close in our neighborhood, and so skipped our usual papa john phone call, and checked out pizza boli instead. We were able to order online. The pizza was def. a lot better than papa Johns or Dominos. We ordered a chicken mushroom (on one half), and pineapple, ham (on the other half). They got the order right. The thin crust was yummy. When they say jumbo, they really do mean "JUMBO SIZE" Cheese slice- $5.00 or Pepperoni slice for $5.50 Since one slice was so large, my friend and I shared 1 slice of the biggest pepperoni pizza slice in the world (bigger than 2 paper plates)! This is the worst pizza place I've experienced. The pizza was delivered quickly so there is no reason it should have been cold. I had a simple mushroom pizza and at first I thought they had accidentally given me cheese. There are teeny little pieces of mushroom, but not many. It's basically a cheese pizza with mushroom bits. Had Boli's for the first time last night. Solid pizza, good service, and great price. Not the best pizza I have ever had, but definitely a place I will go back to when I am craving a good pie. It helps that they are right around the corner from my apartment! Also, I love that you can order online and it's still ready in 15 minutes. My husband had the Italian Cold Cut sandwich and absolutely loved it. He actually said it was the best simple sandwich he has ever had. At 8-inches the thing is huge and a full meal in and of itself. It was also visually appetizing and had a great amount of meat, cheese, veggies, and condiments - not too much and not too little. After having some extremely disappointing delivery I figured it was time to voice my appreciation for Pizza Bolis. I've had the pizza here several times and it's just mediocre. It usually arrives hot and quickly but I've waited over an hour for pizza a few times as well. What I really want to rave about are the chicken strips though. I read another reviewer's assessment of the strips and promptly order some for myself. I wasn't disappointed at all. Ever since I have discovered their crunchy, delicious seasoned, hot strips I've never had a bad experience. And their honey mustard sauce is perfection. Best of all even though it says you get 3 strips for only $6.99 they usually throw 4 or 5 in the bag. And they're large strips so it's well worth the price. So what I've learned as I munch on these clearly subpar chicken strips (that literally cost DOUBLE the price for less chicken) is that I had a good thing and Pizza Bolis strips....I promise to never forsake you again if you'll just take me back! read more

What they lack in taste (flabby cardboard-y crust, thin sauce) they make up for in service. They deliver promptly and that is really hard to find in this city. The cheese pizza is alright....not great, but becomes so once you add your weight's worth in parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. The pepperoni looked like something you might see in Cici's Pizza. Their Buffalo wings are the best: hot, juicy, crispy with just enough spice. Delivery in record time. Last weekend out-of-town company coming for dinner. All neighborhood restaurants were booked or closed. Not exactly pizza time, but I called PB for two orders of fettucine Alfredo with chicken and it arrived just in time for dinner: hot and delicious, complete with mushrooms, broccoli, alongside garlic bread. After reading the reviews I thought this was my best choice to order pizza from. I ordered a large half supreme and half pepperoni and an order of buffalo wings all the way from California for my huband and his coworker that were working in wahington dc. The pizza got there within 30 minutes, 5 minutes before the original delivery time. Needless to say my husband loved the pizza and wings. he said it was better than pizza plus back in Cali therefore it must have been delicious. This place is a disaster. If you order a slice, they have to cook the whole pizza. If you order mozzarella sticks, you have to ask for sauce. If you order off the menu and the discounts listed, they claim it's a "lunch special." They're terrible. Go to Duccini's a block away for better pizza and much better service. read more

I've been a frequent customer of this particular Pizza Boli's for about five years, and honestly, I'm addicted to their white pizza. Trying the white pizza at other Boli locations has left me disappointed. I was going to give them three stars for this reason alone. Even though their delivery is hit or miss, I always tip the drivers very well. Whoever packs up the food, though, frequently forgets small things like salad dressing when you order it for something other than a salad, yet I am still charged. I knocked down my rating to two stars, though, because everything on their menu seems to have increased by $1 in the past month. I can honestly say that these were the worst boneless wings I've ever had in my life. The taste and texture was like eating wet unripened fruit. The sauce tasted like either they forgot the ingredients or put a five year old ketchup packet they found underneath a car seat in a cup of water. Was called by the location and told they did not deliver to my location, so I asked why Grub Hub had my location listed as a place they delivered, was immediately hung up on. Called back and asked to speak to a manager to get further information and was hung up on again. Called back *again* and was hung up on once more without getting further information. Consistently yelled at and berated for asking for clarification. Am now leaving this review to explain that this customer service is AWFUL and they are completely unwilling to speak with a paying customer. All I wanted was information and was repeatedly berated, yelled at and hung up on. NEVER order food from here, the employees and managers are *horrendous*. Have no interest in dealing with the customer, and kept telling me they were too busy to talk to me at 3:15 AM when there was nobody else on the line. Refused to send me to a manager and continually asked what was wrong with my head despite the fact that I was entirely polite and just wanted information, yet was repeatedly yelled at by the employees. If only the chicken wings looked and tasted as good as they do in the photo. I'm writing this as I wait for a driver to refund my order (we'll see how that goes) for a double order of chicken wings that no one knows how to make. You know how you can tell when they have some questionable hires at a place: when they can't get a STAPLE like buffalo wings cooked properly. The skin is mushy even though they swear they're baked. Given that I know how to bake chicken, having some person tell me they bake at 500 degrees is laughable. First of all, 500 degrees is TOO high. If you've ever had mushy chicken that's undercooked inside the skin where the top of the meat meets flesh with some sauce thrown over it, then you're resisting the urge to barf right now. This is what they delivered. Now mind you, I usually order from a different franchise on 8th St SE near Eastern Market and they know how to cook their chicken AND give you fries with the order. This place - boiled chicken and no fries. When freakin' SAFEWAY offers better chicken for purchase you know there's a problem. So...disgusted! read more

This place totally hit the spot after trekking around DC all day. We didn't get back to our hotel until after 10 pm (we started our day around 8:30 am) and we were starving and craving some carbs. Neither my boyfriend or I wanted to move another inch so we asked the front desk for suggestions for delivery. They handed us a flyer for Pizza Hut or Domino's (I can't remember which one) and Pizza Boli. Since we have Pizza Hut and Domino's back home we opted for Pizza Boli. So glad we did! Chose this place because I am not from the area and saw that they delivered. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and French fries with cheese (because I was $0.01 short of the minimum). The delivery took a little over an hour but the food arrived hot and with plenty of supplies (napkins, forks, and condiments). While I was not a big fan if the cheese used in the fries or the top layer of cheese on the pasta (each was a melted mozzarella I believe), the food was still delicious.
