I have wanted to try their pizza for years because I really enjoy their pasta sauce, but they don't deliver to my area and I live a good 20 minutes away. And, their hours lean more towards dinner than lunch time. But, we were in the area trainspotting at Voorheesville on a Saturday and the stars aligned. My wife ordered a pizza that was half Hawaiian for me (don't give me that look) and half pepperoni/mushroom. We called a little before they opened and they were super friendly and took our order, and delivered it to where we were located exactly on time. The pizza came hot and fresh. It was exactly what a pizza should be. The crust was thin and crispy and obviously hand stretched because it was a bit folded and rolled over in places. The sauce was great, but that was to be expected. I wonder if I could order a pizza with their Fra Viavolo sauce? The topping were plentiful though the pineapple clearly was from a can and in small tidbits. My only issue, which my wife also noticed, was that it was heavy on the dried oregano. It is a dominating flavor that I don't always like but it was okay here. If/when I order again I might ask them to go easy on it though. Too bad I don't live nearby. read more

My favorite pizza in the Delmar/Slingerlands area. I do order with extra cheese on mine. The weakness is the crust (they use rolling pin for dough). The pros far outweighs the cons. The cheese is really flavorful and has depth. The sauce is absolute perfection. When I order extra cheese and toppings, these guys know to keep it in longer when necessary to ensure thorough cooking throughout. Haven't found a better slice of cheese in Bethlehem. read more

Complaining about parking is bizarre in a food review. I can say that after years of ordering Pizza I have met been disappointed. I most always order Pizza with special requests and have always been accommodated. The staff is always been respectful and friendly. New to the area I knew there had to be good pizza close by. I'd had one mediocre experience (with severely bad service) at another shop in Slingerlands, but based on the Yelp reviews decided to give this a shot. Bingo! Okay, the guy taking the order over the phone was brusque to the point of rude, and needs to be sent to charm school. Also, he didn't get my credit card # right as when I called for an eta (it was a busy Friday early evening) he indicated it was in route but that my card hadn't gone through (good thing that I called. Btw, he was much nicer when I called to check on the delivery time status.) The pizza did arrive within the estimated delivery time and it was excellent. Very thin crust; excellent sauce, the mushrooms and bell peppers were properly done. Frankly, it's the best pizza I've had in many years. It would be great to treated like the call was welcomed when ordering, but I can't complain about either the quality of the product or the delivery time. I am a fan. read more

Though take out only!!! The food was amazing! I called in my order and it was ready for pick up when I got there 30 minutes later! Just as they had said that it would be! A nice place to get pizza. We got a cheese pizza and an onion and pepper pizza. The cheese pizza was good. The cheese was tasty and gooey, the sauce was nice and tangy, but the dough was a little sweet and could have been chewier. The onion and pepper pizza was great. The onions did a lot to help the sauce and dough. The peppers were sweet and tangy too. Each of those pizzas was a large. They weren't the largest pizzas I've seen, but for they price they weren't bad. I'd eat here again, but I'm still searching for The area's greatest pizza place. And one final note. They're a tiny place. Nowhere to sit. You order pizza and you leave. I can't even remember if you can order single slices. They've got what looks like some sort of cushion on their door, and I'm guessing that it's for your shoulder to push on as you leave the shop with pizza in hand. Genius. read more

Just ate the best lasagna I have ever had. It came with perfect fresh warm Italian bread. We ordered lasagna at a different local restaurant in Delmar recently that was awful. Mercado's lasagna and their other food have their great sauce. The pasta is just right along with meat, ricotta, etc. Thursday they have the special price. Highly recommend. read more

I have been coming here for years, as it's one of the few establishments that has lasted in the Slingerlands. There's a considerable choice of pizza's in the area, and that fact that they are still here is a testament to the product and experience. The main product is a delicious sauce, which you can get on pizza, pasta, meat, vegetables, and in a jar, all by itself, at your local grocery store. The pizza is a solid 4 stars, kept from 5 stars largely because of the crust. It lacks the high gluten stretch and softness that the highest rated pizzas receive, but the sauce is tasty, the cheese is nice, not too heavy, no grease puddles, and their oven is dialed in perfectly. I've had their veal parm, chicken parm, veal sorrento, and tossed salad. There's free delivery above $10, and most of the dishes are in the $10 range, with those containing shrimp or veal being sold closer to $15. The salad is a bit underwhelming, so I just started making my own. The meals themselves are all solid. It's not going to be high end restaurant quality once it's spent 10 minutes in a takeout container, but for half the cost, it's hard to beat it on nights when you can't be bothered to cook, especially when you have company over. What gets this establishment the fourth star is Dominick himself. He is almost always the one that takes your order, rings you out, and does the QA on outgoing orders. In the years I've been coming here, and ordering from here, there has never been a misunderstanding/mistake/forgotten item/unpleasant experience. This is a place I trust! read more

ok. this is the most legit pizza around voorheesville, in my estimation. in addition to the usual pizza shop pizzas and dinners, they sell dough, they sell sauce and perhaps what separates them from others is that they seem to be actually in it for the long haul. frankly what you usually see is that a pizza place is owned by people who are not quite up to running a restaurant and have difficulties with staffing and perhaps try to go with minimal cleaning and maintenance of the shop and always subtly lowering quality to eke out a few more bucks. attention future pizza business owners: that eventually translates to the food. not so here. not a fancy place but also not at all scuzzy. no nonsense basic good food without tables or aging video games, lottery terminals or weird aspirational menu items. maybe i am the only one who feels these flaws are common elsewhere but in any event they arent problems at Pizza by Dominick at the Stonewell Plaza at the corner of 85 and 85a in the Town of New Scotland get some ! read more

Good prices, but the pizza is average at best. They're really convenient because they're on my way home from work. I've tried the plain cheese, white and the subs. As stated before, the pizza isn't spectacular by any means, but the hot subs were pretty good. Definitely wouldn't recommend going out of your way to get their pizza, but if you're in the area, you're hungry and short on time, you will be satisfied. read more
