I've been to every pizza restaurant in Coeur d'Alene. This one is superior in many respects. Great ambiance, excellent and flavorful pizzas that they don't scrimp on toppings, and good prices. They work hard to deliver the best!

Quite the assortment of beer glasses (e.g. Pilsner, Hefeweizen, Thistle, Tulip, etc.)

We've frequented this restaurant for years back when it was "Nate's New York Pizza" on Highway 41. In our opinion, both my wife's family and I prefer this new location (along with its new name), mainly because now there's a very good beer selection. The shelves on the west side have a really impressive Belgian/European traditional beer selection with quite a lot of imports (along with local barrel-aged favorites like Seattle's Fremont). In addition to way more space in this old outlet mall, there's also a fantastic beer glass assortment on the east side (e.g. Pilsner, Hefeweizen, Thistle, Tulip, etc.). All-in-all, New York Pizza Dept is doing a great job and worth a stop if you enjoy large pieces of thin crust pizza by the slice!

A few good games a few decent beers and a menu that has more than pizza.....and a salad bar. Loved the customer service. Reason for 4 stars.....I can't explain it maybe a few more games just something is missing....but love a good salad bar

What can I say? I dig Pizza Factory. There are pizza kitchens, then there are pizza joints! You have to be able to separate the two different kinds of pizza places. There is the modern-day "wood fired" "Artisan" foo foo pizza kitchen, and then there is the classic 1980's, wood paneling, old booths, giant rear projection TV, pitcher of Coors Light type of pizza parlor. I personally like a down and dirty classic 80's pizza and wing place. Pizza Factory is just that (minus the giant TV). It's a classic, tasty, greasy, arcade game filled parlor. We always dine in, order a couple of pizzas and some wings, and chomp away. I have not had a bad experience to date. Always consistent. Kids love the games. I read a number of the reviews on here and there seems to be a number of complaints about the service. I have no bad service issues to report. Employees have been professional and polite. I would say if anything the service is just neutral, nobody seems real excited about making pizzas. Maybe the fire/love just isn't there anymore. This place would be 5 stars no problem if there was some magic left. I don't know, maybe they need some music or something. However, for now. I would definitely say if you want some great classic pizza hit up Pizza Factory. Ohh, last thought. I like to put Tabasco on my pizza. When I asked, they said they don't have Tabasco. So, if you like hot sauce on pizza, you should bring your own little bottle!

Now on to the pizza, we were greeted when walked in and as we sat, we were given menus. So from other reviews I've read about the service here, what I will say is yes, the son has a quirky demeanor and service. However, his intention is good and does not mean to come off as short or inattentive...it just adds to his mysterious character. Anyways, he seems like a good kid (young adult) and is part of just the family business. Okay, on to the pizza for reals. The wixy nugs sounded very interesting and we tried the jalapeno cinna-sweet flavor. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect but had to order it out of curiosity. I'm glad I did! Some way, some how, the mix of spicy jalapeno coupled with cinnamon definitely works. Hard to describe, yet tasty. For my pizza, I ordered the Flying Hawaiian. But instead of ham or chicken, I went with pepperoni. I really enjoyed this pizza and all the combo flavors that melded together. My friend ordered the BBQ smoked pulled pork pizza and said it was great. Visually there was lots of fresh cilantro but it did not over power the pizza in general. They give you bottled water and they have canned soda for beverages. They do not sell alcohol. One thing to take note of is they stay open late. They close at 2am! Late night munchies? This is the spot. Oh did I mention, this pizza shop has a skateboard shop in it with awesome artwork!? Definitely a unique place to check out and eat some good pizza! Really enjoyed the mom and pop shop atmosphere, it's Mom making the pies and the son helping out. Dad's declining health allows him to come help at times. Support local small businesses, it's what really helps the world go round!

I appreciated that the pizza had a substantial amount of toppings. Sometimes pizzas will skimp on them and it's super disappointing but not here. The crust itself was on the thin side which I do enjoy more than those with thicker crusts, but it was also soft so you do kind of need to hold a piece and bend it into a boat shape so the front half doesn't just fall down. I'm sure leftovers would be amazing reheated in an air fryer to crisp the bottom up just a bit! Anyways, lots of toppings, perfect amount of cheese, and a thinner crust made for a dynamite pizza! The apple pie pizza was also really yummy. The crushed graham crackers were a little disappointing though as I was thinking there would be little pieces instead of the very fine teeny tiny bits sprinkled around because I couldn't even taste them. But besides that it was great! Same thin crust as the other pizza, the cream cheese mixed with the cinnamon butter made it taste like a cinnamon roll and I really loved the thin apple slices on top. Definitely worth trying! Even though the total price came to about $47 which felt a bit steep for 1 pizza and 1 dessert pizza, both mom and I still loved them both. While not something we would buy on a regular basis if we lived in town but absolutely something we would seek out for special occasions or something along those lines! If you're in the area and are looking for a great pizza place, even though this spot is a little more expensive than others, I think it's worth it. I'd definitely eat here again!
