I've frequented this place quite often the past year and I've always bought 2 pizzas and some wings from them. I like their pizza and it's near my house. So anyways, they have a "promo" that if you picked up your own order they'd give you a drink or an ice cream. So I bought a pizza for a little under $20, and I guess the promo is if you spend over $20, the promo applies. So I decided to give them a 15% tip to push it over $20 as I did not feel the need for more food but would have liked a drink anyways and they get a tip. So I go in, the girl starts telling me I can select a drink and then one of the guys stops her and says that I HAVE to pay $20 before I can get a drink. I look at both of them, thinking... wait... I paid over $24 isn't that past $20? I could have bought something else, instead I chose to give you guys a tip... so the one time I dont spend close to $50, this happens. So rather than argue, I walked out thinking, welp, you just lost a repeat customer. I guess I'll go to the other pizza joint down the road. Disappointing! Ordered online. They didn't even start making the order until we arrived at time it was stated it would be ready. It was expensive! The discount coupon said"valid coupon but no pizza available for this coupon. " It was supposed to have regular crust and it was thin crust. My wife and I had lunch here yesterday (there are 3 chairs inside, but no tables, and so we actually ate outside). I think it's a little lame that it wasn't totally free, as we were charged the CRV. I had to ask for napkins and a cup. I think the Styrofoam cup was only 4 oz. Eating outside was an inconvenience. In addition, while leaving, a tiny bug flew into my cup (I was only grossed out for a second- I mainly had an existential crisis because some Mountain Dew was wasted). Wow, paper thin tasteless pizza! Almost no sauce even though I paid for extra sauce! Almost no cheese! This was hugely disappointing. My wife's gluten free pizza was not horrible, but that's the best comment she had. It was $70 for 1 medium and 1 large pizza. I called to see what they wanted to do for me and they said we will bring you another order..(at 9:00 at night after we ate and suffered through their horrible pizza already), or receive 10-20% off in the future. Never going back and if I'm reading reviews to see if this place is good, heed my earnest warning....I wouldn't spend my money here! Stay away. the staff is poorly trained, and rude, and the quality suffers from indifference and lack of attention. .We've ordered from Pizza Guys several times in the past few months, using their coupons. If we ordered a regular pizza with no special instructions, the quality is acceptable but nothing special. You get what you pay for. But tonight, I ordered a large pizza with extra sauce for delivery. When I ordered it, I asked them to double check the order to make sure it had extra sauce on it. He said 'Sure - I'll make sure for you." It showed up, I paid the driver, and I sat down to eat it. On the first bite, it was clear that there was almost no sauce on it at all! I pulled up cheese from a few other areas to see if I had just bitten into a dry spot, but it was all dry. Very little sauce. I posted photos on Yelp. I called to ask to trade it for a correct pizza. After the order taker's going back and forth with today's "closer" named "Lucia", he said that she was insisting that the pizza was fine and that they measure their sauce so of course there is not a problem with it. I told Mr. Order Taker that the only right answer here was "Sorry sir, we made a mistake and will send you a new one." He told Lucia this, and her reply was to ask if I had eaten the pizza. I replied that yes, of course I had taken a single bite - how else would I know there was not extra sauce? Order took 2.5 hours and came wrong. Ordered at 6:58 PM, their online system took my order. Waited until 8:20 PM and tried calling them to check on the order. Had to call a few times but finally got a hold of them at 8:45 PM. They told me the delivery guy was already out and said 15 minutes. I told them that I dont want the order if they didnt start it yet - would have been faster for me to just go to McDonalds. Im so satisfied with my pizza, I ordered a medium pineapple mushroom pizza and it was nice and warm, fluffy, cheesy delicious pizza!!! When I gave the first bite it was cheesy melt yummy!! Hangry and annoyed. Never ordering by phone from this location again. Ordered pizza at 7:50 pm. It is now 9:15 pm and pizza just arrived. Was told 45 min delivery. The wait is now 1 hr & 25 min. The pizza shop is 10 min from my house. I order from here quite a bit. My usual is the large cheese-less veggie with extra jalapenos- there's an online coupon code that gets you a large pizza and an ice cream or soda for $15.99 + taxes. It's never spectacular, but it's a damn good deal! Recently I've been ordering delivery (not being lazy but recovering from the flu) and going for chicken wings, salads, cheesy bread. I I was actually quite surprised by the salad: it had it all. Croutons, salad dressing, and the fork! And it was good. Cheesy bread: great alternative to pizza in my opinion. The wings: eh. Tried their Artichoke Fiesta (vegetarian pizza) and it was pretty tasty 3/5, but I wish there were more artichokes on it. Their garlic chicken pizza is a lot better 4/5. I'd probably try different flavors next time! Not sure if I would order from here again because the slices are on the smaller size and they took a lot longer for the pizza delivery than other places. We ordered around dinner time on a Sunday for two pizzas. Pizzas came in quality and nice, didn't look like it was tossed around or anything. This review is for the late night delivery service. I called just before 11pm, desperate to find a place open near Washington hospital. My in laws had been waiting in the ER since 6pm with nothing to eat since the cafeteria was closed. They answered the phone right away, took my order for a small Hawaiian pizza and delivered to the lobby of Washington hospital within about 40-45 minutes. Without prompting the guy on the phone offered to look for a coupon for me, and the total came to about $16 with change including delivery! They took my mother in law's cell and my cell in case there was an issue with delivery. Then I called the hospital operator who patched my to the lobby visitor desk ( thank you yelp for that number too). The kind woman worked it out with me to call my mother in law's cell when the pizza arrived so she could pick it up from the lobby. My mother in law who normally doesn't eat much said she gobbled up 3 pieces, and said it was as if she never had pizza before it was so good. Even the patient, my father in law who had no appetite, ate a piece! I was so grateful. Thanks for being open and for delivering an apparently very tasty pizza Pizza Guys, near midnight!!! Good pizzas at good prices that is very affordable for big families and parties. They are always friendly and courteous on the phone or in person. I usually don't like delivery pizza, and preferring the ultra-thin crust type pizzas I can get at Amici's or CPK. Unfortunately, none of those places are close to my house. I gotta say that their pizza here is definitely thinner than normal "delivery" pizza, though still not as thin as real NY or neopolitan style pizzas. Decided to check them out since we were too lazy to takeout, and happened to see their door hanger lying around. We got the roasted garlic chicken pizza, which was super-tasty, and some cheesy bread, which was decent (though I wish it came w/ marinara instead of ranch). As Sandy N. mentioned, their roasted garlic pizza has a surprisingly "gourmet" feel to it, and tastes more like something I'd order at CPK than pizza delivered to my house. How ever...since they charged my debit card twice for 1 transaction and sent the bank fee rolling my way...and were total asses about fixing... I will have to say... I will never go there again. Pizza Guys is great... always delivers very quickly and very polite and friendly delivery guys. Not only that but they have coupons online that you can use on your orders!! LOVE IT!!! I don't have to save all my coupons from the mail on my fridge anymore! Also, they have the option to pick up your order and get a free 2 liter, or order online and get a free tub of ice cream!!!! Always ordered delivery with them. They always deliver it within 30 mins to my house, even though they promise 45! The pizza is fast and hot and very tasty. Once they got one of my custom pizzas wrong however.... The Delivery driver apologized, and called using his own mobile phone to get the correct pizza started top priority. OK - here I go again. I have to admit my first review of this business wasn't very good. I didn't like the ingredients and thought they were fake. I was corrected in this assumption by the owner who actually reads Yelp. Whenever I am wrong, I always make the correction. It is only fair to the business owner. I go to Pizza Guys mainly because the Pizza is OK (not as good as Mission Pizza) and it is close to home. As it is only a few blocks away I can make the walk over and pick up a pie even after a few beers. The price is fair and you can get a pint of ice cream or a 2 liter coke for free if you pick up the pizza yourself rather than have it delivered. The wings were pretty good as well. This place was ok for a local neighborhood spot when you wanted cheap and easy pizza (pizza quality was 2.5 to 3 stars, a little undercooked), but if you order during dinner, you better order 2.5 hours early, regardless of what they tell you on the phone or online. I once ordered pizza on a Sunday night at 6:00pm and didn't get the pizza until after 8:30pm even though I live 2 miles down the street from the place. I called to double check after an hour and a half and the pizza hadn't even left yet. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking they might have been short staffed. Plus, their pizza is decent and they are probably the closest spot to my place. I gave them a try on a Saturday night ordering at 7:00pm and the pizza didn't come until 9:30pm. This would have been a go place for me for delivery food, but when you place an order and are told 45 minutes to 1 hour either via phone or internet and it takes over 2 times as long to get your food, especially when you have people over, then I will never order from you again and will spread the word at the lack of service and inaccurate delivery times. If it will take 2 to 3 hours for delivery, that's fine, we can adjust - just don't falsely tell me 45 minutes to an hour and then we're sitting here watching a game or fight and everyone has already gone home and the event is already over by the time the food arrives. read more

You really can't beat the price. We are avid Pizza Guy customers. It got to the point where the woman recognized our voice on the phone. The other night, we wanted to order a pretty plain pizza - Large Pepperoni for Pick up and she recommended an Extra Large because it was on promo for a cheaper price. Score!
