I hate yelp reviews. Like really loathe them. But enough is enough. I order a lot from this particular restaurant. They are one of the few that offer BBQ sauce as an alternative to regular sauce. BUT when your pizza is swimming in sauce, to the point that you can't even eat it - it's too much. Extra cheese. Yeah right. Last night at 6:20pm we ordered 6 pizzas for delivery to a hotel for 20 people. They were supposed to arrive at 7:15pm. At 7:30pm I called to see where the pizzas were considering the location was less than 3 miles away and after being on hold for some time the call dropped. I called back at 8pm and the responder told me they were busy but they pizzas were already out and would be there in 10 minutes. (Which didn't make sense bc it's less than a 10 minute drive). At 9:00pm the pizzas showed up. When we asked the driver what happened concerned they might be cold, etc. he told us he watched the pizzas come out of the oven 5 minutes ago and brought them straight here. Basically they forgot our order and lied to us on the phone while we waited upwards of 2 hours. We lost our appetites and therefore didn't purchase the pizza in the end. read more

Got coupons in my mailbox which prompted me to try this pizza. Price is good and low with the coupons. BUT WTF THEY CHARGED $2.50 for delivery?! Protip: Your competitors offer free delivery! Because of that (when ordering online) when they asked me for tip amount I put zero. Even though I did tip the delivery guy a couple bucks at my front door. When the driver arrived I noticed he did not carry one of those heat-preserving bags that keeps the pizza hot. Sure enough, the pizza was just barely warm. When the places deliver using those bag-things it really does keep it nice and hot. This place does not use those for some reason. Pizza quality: better than dominoes, about the same as Round Table or Mountain Mikes. Next time I'll pay a little more for First Bite NY Pizza. Who by the way charges more for better quality pizza but DELIVERS FOR FREE. read more

The worst Italian food I've ever eaten. I just flew in from Los Angeles on business. Order in to my hotel. Took over one hour and twenty minutes. Was quoted 45 minutes. Order a simple marinara sausage pasta. Pasta was so dry, no sauce and the sausage was disgusting. The antipasto salad was mostly lettuce and had very little meats, cheese, olives etc. More like a garden salad. The garlic bread was disgusting covered with an awful white sauce. Not garlic bread. The only thing that was good was the 2 litre diet Pepsi. $28 for awful food! How can you mess up basic Italian food. You have to be absolutely clueless about food. Don't waste your money. I really like this pizza shops pizzas. Unfortunately, their customer service is just terrible. I always order for pick-up and rarely has my order been ready, even at times when the shop did not seem busy at all. This past Sunday the shop was in complete chaos. It was Super Bowl Sunday so I expected them to be busy. After ordering on line and allowing over 40 minutes for my order to be completed I arrived to find that they couldn't even find my order! While I waited for my pizzas there was a steady stream of patrons in the same boat. No orders seemed to be ready at all. Some just left in frustration. The issue seemed to be the fact that there were only two workers making pizzas. While I waited for my order I saw only one other pizza actually get made and placed in an oven. One individual seemed very experienced, the other just seemed lost. It's unfortunate that the shop owner placed these two young workers is in the position of being so understaffed that they could not do their jobs effectively. Clearly the owner has very little respect for either his workers or his customers. read more

We ordered X-Large pizzas for a birthday party a couple of weeks back. I was expecting their pizzas to be so-so, but, boy, were we surprised!. The pizzas were good. Very, very good. We ordered cheese, pepperoni and some gourmet pizzas. The pepperoni and Tuscan garlic chicken pizzas proved huge hits. Some of our friends, who usually shy away from pizzas, helped themselves to multiple slices. The Pleasanton location is really a nondescript outlet. But the pizzas are bloody good. And, their customer service is superb: we called a couple of times to change the order and delivery timings, and every request was cheerfully accepted. Thank you, Pizza Guys. the takeout drivers are rude and greedy. i had a takeout driver come to my door ask for his tip before he could hand me the food and when i asked for my change he tried to tell me how much to give him back. and then he refused to give me sone of my change. the tip was well over 25%. read more

These guys rock! Great customer service, unlike other pizza chains. They are patient on the phone while I'm ordering our crazy requests! The bacon pizza bread is the bomb! We order ours without the sauce, sounds crazy but oh sooo good! Brandon and Pizza Guys have been a staple when I do the Trader Joe's and Walmart grocery ones on the opposite side of town. We hit an off day a week or so ago, and I sent an email saying so. Brandon replied with the most sincere apology I think I've ever heard, and he made me realize he really cares about and knows who his customers are. He knew immediately who I was, what our usual order is, and when we usually order. He is an exceptional young man, who clearly wants the product to be consistently good, and the service to be outstanding, which they have been for over a year of happy tummies. The fact that it was so simple to let him know (he wasn't working that evening) the standard wasn't met, and his immediate response to make it right is the proof that Pizza Guys is worthy of the many praises I've just been reading. Any food establishment can have an off day. Who among us hasn't burnt the steak or undercooked the carrots at some time? Very disappointed. In my former job near by this pizza guys, my girls I worked with and I would buy at least once a week. Moved to a different job. And then started getting deliveries to my house for my family and I. And I have two girls 6 and 4 and have to eat dinner by a certain time to have them in bed by 9( not easy) so last time I got delivered and they took over two hours. So I called two hours and 5 mins laster and she said that they were just leaving. So at that point it was so late already 8pm! So I gave them another chance. And online order kept charging extra for a two topping pizza. So I had to call and he gave me the same price. And I asked how long it would be cause of my girls. And he said he would give me $5 off. Which is very nice. And pizza came a little before a hour which was great. the pizza tasted good but it wasn't cut properly. And barely any pesto on my cheese bread. read more

The service and food is always great and I always have a good experience. If they mess up, they're always willing to fix the problem without any complaint. My only complaint is that the parking lot is terribly small but that's only a minor inconvenience. Braving the parking lot and picking it up is worth though it since you get a free 2-liter soda or ice cream. Also, always check the pizza guys website because there's always a bunch of coupons that can save you a few bucks. Tonight was our third time ordering pizza from the Pizza Guys. Our pizza arrived within a 30 min period which was nice, sadly the young lady taking the order got it wrong. We have never had problems with the company until tonight. I changed the order after starting to order pepperoni and switch to ground beef. Then I ordered a small pizza with 4 toppings. The lady asked me did I want a cooked tomato or fresh tomato and I said fresh please. Then she read the order back and got it correctly (with the change!!) so then my husband gave her the card to pay. When I called to tell them our order was wrong. The first lady said 'fine I will call back to retake your order and have it sent out again'. Then I looked at the second pizza and so I called to say I need that order corrected as well. A different lady (the one who took the order) preceded to tell me that she had read it back to me 3 times and that is what I ordered. She lied! She didn't read it back but once and said it correctly the first time. She was arguing with me! That woman needs to be fired. We haven't had a problem with the company until tonight and I would never order from them again based on the service I got from her. I can understand them getting the order wrong on one pizza but not on two especially after she read it back to me correctly. The other lady who said she would call back to get my order correct never called back and no doubt because I told the other woman not to bother because we would never buy their pizza again based on her communication with me. Roundtable would give me a better pizza for the same price and its a better tasting pizza. read more
