I was originally going to get pizza from Mountain Mikes by then decided to go to Pizza My Heart last minute. This is actually the first time that I ordered a whole pizza from here. I have only gotten slices in the past that have been sitting for a while. Even though they heat it up, it's not the same as freshly made. I ordered a half Big Sur and half Maui Wowie. I got there soon after I ordered, and they had my pizza ready. I think I got lucky because someone else who had ordered before me with the same order, wasn't there yet, so they gave me that pizza. At least, I think that's why they swapped out the labels on the box. Anyway, the pizza was yummy. Bug Sur has cloves of roasted garlic. So good. They did not skim on the toppings. The kids loves the Maui Wowie. My husband and the two kids ate most of the 18" pizza. Bonus: there was a $7 off promo, so I got the 18" pizza for less than the 14" at Mountain Mikes, and I think it's better pizza. This is my local go to from now on. read more

I picked up a Too Good to Go dinner box and went home with my purchase. The following day I opened the box and found that the slice of veggie pizza had a bite taken out of the front of the pizza (see pictures). Really gross that this happened. I sent a message to their contact on the website and nobody bothered to reach out on this. Really disappointing since I liked their pizza. Definitely won't be going back after this. Hard to believe that I'm a Bay Area native who's never tried Pizza My Heart until now...good thing there's a convenient location just down my street! There's not many pizza shops that offer pizza by the slice around here when you're craving just a hot slice of pizza. Their cheese pizza was fantastic- I would totally come back for it. Crispy, chewy, and cheesy. And their ranch??? Divine. And complimentary (which every pizza shop should model after). Loved the slices and even picked up a tee. I will say, we grabbed a white sauce chicken/bacon/mushroom and it was not crispy at all...probably too many toppings or something. Cheese all the way! read more

This Pizza my Heart is conveniently located in a strip mall with plenty of parking and other businesses. It is possibly the smallest Pizza my Heart restaurant I have been to but the menu is the same and the staff were friendly. Being that it is smaller, wait times may be a bit longer. I ordered my pizza slices and drinks and was in and out in about 10 minutes. While they are smaller with less seating, the inside was clean. read more

Unfortunately I didn't read the pizza choice I picked fully and got the Doheny Sweet Heat and boooooooooi when I tell you the ricotta cheese is STRONG on that pizza. Phew! I don't like ricotta cheese so that one was not for me :) But the pepperoni slice I got made up for it! It's wonderful to stand at the counter and purposefully not being engaged with by three members of the team. How did I know it was on purpose? I locked eyes with every one of them before I saw nothing but their backs. After forty five seconds I walked out. This review is for multiple TGTG orders... Super easy check in process. Each slice runs about $6-$8. Theyre super generous with toppings and the slices of pizza are GINORMOUS. It's kind of small inside the establishment, but still worth enjoying a pie in. I do love that you van get it by the slice if you don't want to commit to the whole pie, or if you like variety and want different slices. I always come here! read more

It's been a while since I've had pizza my heart. And I was in town and wanted to try it out. Went to the crow canyon location. Staff was not very inviting at all. Bunch of young kids more interested in talking with each other than treating customers or being friendly. As for the pizza. Was tasteless , bland and really not worth the time money it took to order. I use to eat PMH all the time and was always one of my favorite pizzas. Never again. I'll be looking for a small family owned location close to where I visit next time. read more

Big Sur - This pizza came with 40 cloves of roasted garlic, red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, portobello mushrooms and green onion. This was probably my favorite out of all that we ordered. I thought the pizza as a whole was really hearty, and had a really great balance between meat and vegetables. I would definitely order this again, for sure. Watsonville Apple - This pizza came with green apple slices, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, green onions, Gorgonzola cheese, olive oil and garlic. First time I saw this pizza, I was pretty skeptical as I really didn't know what to expect in terms of flavor. Also, I am generally not used to and am not really a big fan of fruit slices on my pizza (sorry Hawaiian pizza). However, it turned out to be a really nice pizza with a very balanced flavor. I couldn't really taste apple, and the Gorgonzola really elevated this pizza and added a unique flavor, and I thought the amount of gorgonzola they put there was perfect and was not too overpowering. Fort Point - This pizza came with light tomato and pesto sauce, Roma tomatoes, chicken, ricotta cheese, sausage, artichoke hearts, basil and some herbs. This pizza was delicious, but compared to the other two that we ordered, I would probably rank this at the bottom because the other two were far more superior and unique in my opinion. We ordered the Cowell's Combo and a Heart Shaped Pizza. And because it's Valentine's Day, it came with a free shirt!!! The pizzas were GOOD! I loved the crust and the chew of the crust. It's not too thick and not too thin. And I love when the pepperoni curls! I wanted to give them 5 stars but our pizzas were cold when we picked them up. Just ordered my first (AND LAST) pizza from here. I WISH I would have read the reviews and looked at the photos before I wasted my money. The box was sealed when I picked it up, so I didn't bother looking inside. When I arrived home, I was extremely disappointed and confused as to WHAT I was looking at. I ordered a normal PLAIN cheese pizza. How hard could it be? The pizza was laden with copious amounts of cheese (to the point of being disgusting) and only a "drizzle" of sauce going in circles around the pizza. Was it supposed to be a work of art??? I think they have it backwards. You coat the dough with SAUCE first and then "sprinkle" the cheese over it!!! The only customization I asked for was "thin crust" and they didn't even get THAT right. I've been to Pizza My Heart in Santa Cruz 41st and the original in Capitola, so I decided to give this place a try. The pizza doesn't seem to be the same, I'll have to pay more attention next time I eat in Santa Cruz. Maybe it the ocean and salt air. Maybe the whole experience meeting seaside makes it better. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and sausage, the crust was fine, the sausage was very like like 4 pieces, plenty of pepperoni.. But where's the sauce? It was just cheese on top of the dough.
