I love this old time pizza place! I loved them in their original house and I love them in their new facilities. Our usual order is a large pizza with various toppings and it always delivers with fresh toppings and a yummy pizza sauce with a slightly sweet tomato flavor. Thin crust pizza and I just don't get along, unless it's Donatos. The first time I had pizza from The Pizza House, I immediately changed my mind. Thin, crispy crust, perfect amount of sauce, edge-to-edge FRESH toppings. My girlfriend (a veteran of Pizza Hut) tried it and loved it. YUM! Tried the Pizza House after seeing all the great reviews and I was not disappointed! We ordered a large pizza with veggies and something fried.. I don't remember now but I know I was happy with everything! The pizza, which was huge, was completely gone within 20 minutes. I just couldn't stop eating it! So delicious and baked to perfection. Have not had pizza from here in a long time, but yesterday I did and what a great pizza!!!! The only reasons it has been so long, is that I no longer live close and every time I was in the area they were packed! Always a good sign, but I did not have the time to wait. We actually got pizza and sub to go to have at work. The pizza had old world pepperoni, mushrooms and banana peppers," FANTASTIC" is all we kept saying. The Italian sub was also very good. Today we are still talking about how good it was! I have now brought two more to the Pizza House patrons club! Also the young lady who answered the phone was pleasant and accommodating. I actually called back because I meant to ask for old world pepperoni and forgot. When I called back she was extremely nice and the person who made the pizza was also very accommodating. Should have asked for her name so I could give her credit personally. I do know this is a family owned establishment and always has been. Please support this family owned establishment, they deserve it with the food and service they provide. Not only great pizza, but fantastic Italian eats as well. This is honestly some of the best pizza in Columbus, I have it on a very regular basis, and I won't boringly list all of the other wonderful meals I've eaten here because there's really too many other delicious menu items to list. But, my favorite thing here is their small in size, but great in flavor lunch special menu (only 6 items). When it comes to lunch, I almost always order the same thing though, the full sized wet meatball sub with a salad for less than $7. The only thing that bothers me is, it's the ONLY lunch special that dose not come with a soda, and that's just wrong...lol. This is some of the best pizza in Columbus. I found this place on Yelp! and had to try it because of the good reviews. The crust was nice and crispt, the sauce was delicious, and the pepperoni were incredibly flavorful. My bro-in-law had rigatoni and meatballs and the meatball was one of the best I'd tasted. Spaghetti is just the right consistency, not too thick, not too thin. The only reason I gave 4 stars was the service. It took us 2 hours to get in and out. Service started slow with no drink order for a while, then appetizers and food took a while to come out. Then when food came out, server was there all the time getting drink refills, but when we were done and needed the check, the server was no where to be found. Then after asking for some boxes, that took another 5-10 minutes. Maybe it was just a busier than usually Monday night, or they were short staffed, either way, it was slow. Oh Pizza House baby I was wrong! How could I take away a star from you? You do need to order the "all the way" pizza well done because of the super thin crust combined with the copious amounts of onions and green peppers requires a longer cooking time. However, I seem to find myself snagging pies from here when I'm in the 'bus. GET THE OLD WORLD PEPPERONI instead of the regular pepperoni. I love coming to The Pizza House for lunch! They have good priced lunches, and you leave feeling full. The dough is a medium thickness (it isn't cracker thin), and they put on a decent amount of sauce and use quality toppings. They have a good house dressing on their salad. Oh, and I love their toasted ravioli's!! This was my first visit to Pizza house. My boyfriend ordered the Pesto pizza and I ordered a pizza with calamata olives, tomatoes and mushrooms. We also ordered some fried mushrooms. The fried mushrooms were alright, I did enjoy that they served them with marinara sauce, they gave enough sauce and it was nice and thick. The Pizza was loaded with toppings. I stayed away from this long established pizza place for a while and now regret it. I forgot just how great their pizzas are. It has limited seating and the bar area is not very comfy. So choose the right time to go and you'll do fine. The service is excellent I love their sausages and crust the toppings are heaped on and the cheese is so thick! When Pasquale's in Westerville did their ill-fated move they lost me as a regular now Pizza House is my mainstay. read more

Remember going to the pizza shop as a kid for a pizza place? That's what coming here is like. Some bomb pizza for a decent price (large with five toppings is 17.50 I believe.) They don't have a good alcohol selection but it is also cheap, which puts them at an advantage. Service is fair, if maybe not a little neglectful, but I was left to want for nothing. The All Meat pizza is incredible. So many meats & bacon for days, which really, really speaks to me. Bacon is everything. Wings are awesome, also love the Italian sub. Pizza House has the best pizza! I grew up on Joos Ave just a couple blocks from the Pizza house. While growing up it seems we would have pizza every Friday night from the Pizza House. The Pizza, subs, Anti-pasta salads are the best. We go out of our way to get pizza at the Pizza House when we can even though we are across town now. Hello Pizza House! Came in based on reviews and WOW. Drove down from Delaware for lunch and it was so worth it. Family owned since 1961. They have this down. We order the garlic bread and snowball. Couldn't lick the dish the meatball came on because we wiped it clean with the bread. Pizza was "all the way", their version of supreme. Home made sauce was lovely. Sausage was sliced thin like pepperoni and we enjoyed it. Onions and green peppers were sliced very thin and crunchy, not really cooked, but gotta tell you I liked the texture. Mushrooms were canned. While I prefer fresh, they did not have that tinny metal taste and I was happy. The crust? Ahhhh...crunchy on the bottom and a little rise to make it chewy.... Server was a young lady that was very nice, attentive, and didn't bug us when we had a mouthful of food ;). We got out of there for around 30 bucks with the tip. And have pizza leftovers (the best). I am a little partial because their recipes are the Italian recipes of my husband's aunt Tina Tiberi. I think that the location is a bit out of the way for most folks but I know many who make this trip regularly. This is not a chain restaurant and the pizza is very unique (in a good way). Was voted number one in Columbus for a number of years back in the 70's and 80's. Still one of the best. Give it a try. read more

This is my family's favorite pizza in Central Ohio. There are times we go weekly. If you haven't tried it, I strongly recommend it.

I ordered from here through Door Dash- did not have a good experience with them, but I'll leave that out of my review of the food. I have gotten food from here before in the restaurant, and I knew that my feelings were a bit underwhelmed. However, I couldn't remember why, so I decided to give hem another shot. First item- a "snowball" a meatball covered with sauce and cheese! This was delicious! The sauce was very tomatoey and flavorful and just yum! The texture of the meatball was very soft, not tough or dry like I often find. Second- garlic, cheese bread. This was also very yummy, thought it should have come with a side of sauce though. Lots of cheese, good amount of toastiness, not too crunchy! Lastly... this is what brings he rating down.. 3. Medium cheese pizza. I had ordered the "thick crust" for an extra $2.00. I guess I cannot confirm that I actually got the thick crust or not, but it still wasn't a super puffy crust. It wasn't crunchy thin, but for an extra $2.00, I'd expected a big difference! The amount of cheese was good. The real downside, was the lack of flavor, which I'm largely attributing to the flavor of the sauce.... let's go back for a moment to that AH-mazing meatball sauce! The stuff they put on the pizza is NOT the same. I also ordered a side of it, so I could make a very direct comparison. It had very little flavor at all... so it they just would have used the same sauce I prob would have liked it ok, but overall the pizza fell very short in my opinion. read more

I moved to Columbus from Youngstown, Ohio a few months back... Youngstown is know for its incredible pizza and I have no doubt missed the variety of quality pie that was so attainable back in my home town. Frequently, new friends or colleagues point my wife and I to a pizza place in town, raving about how great it is... And being the pizza snob I am I have always been disappointed.
