Review for Pizza Hut Visit on August 1, 2025 Yesterday, I went to Pizza Hut to pick up an order I placed through the app. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. First, I was short one pizza. I had ordered two pepperoni pizzas -- one with cheese and one without cheese. When I checked the boxes, one pizza had only cheese and no pepperoni, and the other had cheese when it was supposed to have none. I explained this to the young man at the counter, Terry. He showed me the order on the screen, which only said I ordered two one-topping pizzas, without specifying the details I entered in the app. When I tried to explain, Terry insisted I look it up on the app myself. However, the app didn't show the specific topping instructions -- only that I had ordered two one-topping pizzas. While Terry was getting the pizza, I overheard a young lady on the food line loudly and unprofessionally say, "Who the F** keeps messing up the orders?"* This was said in front of customers -- very inappropriate. To avoid further conflict, I simply ordered another pizza with pepperoni and waited. While sitting at a table, I reviewed the rest of my order. I noticed that instead of the cinnamon rolls I had ordered, I was given breadsticks. I took them back to the counter and let Terry know. He took the breadsticks, placed them back on the counter with outgoing orders, then grabbed the cinnamon rolls and handed them to me. I asked if he could please bag them. He did, but then walked to the back. So, by this time I decided to ask Terry since my order had been messed up three times now and he couldn't fix the pizza that had no pepperoni on it? Terry then told me NO! Soon after, another man came over to the table he was an overweight man that seem to be sweating profusely,he never introduced himself, I asked if he was the manager. He said yes, so I asked if Pizza Hut usually has two managers. He didn't respond. Soon to find out he was RGM, I explained what had happened with my order, and as I spoke, I realized the wings I had received were incorrect as well. He asked to see my receipt, walked off with it, and came back about 10 minutes later. He told me he had issued a refund. The receipt showed a refund of $33.99, but I had paid $36.99. I didn't argue about the missing $3, but I was very upset with how I was treated overall and left the store. Today, 8/2/25, I checked my credit card and saw the $33.99 refund listed as pending. Around 11:53 a.m., I called Pizza Hut to follow up. When I asked who I was speaking to, the man said his name was Jose the same man from yesterday that refunded me my money. I began to explain who I was and that I had some questions. Jose immediately began talking over me and said I should be satisfied because I received a refund. I tried to let him know about the cinnamon roll that had NOT been cooked as I tried to continue speaking to Jose he cut me off, saying, "I'm doing paperwork I do not have any time for this ," and hung up on me. This experience was beyond frustrating -- from the incorrect order, lack of accountability, unprofessional behavior by staff, and poor customer service, to being disrespected on the phone the following day. Mistakes happen, but this is not how customers should be treated. I hope Pizza Hut will address this internally to prevent this kind of treatment from happening to others. read more

Just made a $90 order and when it arrived we are missing one pizza. Called 5/6 times from different members of household and EACH time they hung up on us. What a trash place. Horrible service. Finally got through after thirty minutes and they s a i d they'll give refund for missing pizza, haven't reviewed anything yet. Hate Hate Hate. Don't order here. We actually had to call several Pizza Hut locations in the area before finding one that still was willing to open their dining room for utilization! This one was the winner. They have a salad bar there with a card that lists toppings, even nutrition facts. Yet, it apparently hasn't been used for years. That is what COVID did for dining establishments. They do not even want to use their dining rooms anymore. How sad. Seems that most pizza places are making themselves exclusively delivery or pickup service. Employees were very friendly, but as stated the delivery focused business model logically did not make for the best ambience. Granted, provided people are mostly not coming in at all since it will be drivers delivering them their hot pizza, and those that decide to gather the courage to venture out of their cozy homes are only supposed to come in for a few minutes to pick up their order, one would not expect too much pizzazz at the pizza place! To their credit, they still have some holiday decorations around, to get in the spirit. Menu is a piece printer paper, with everything online these days. Unfortunately did not even have proper dining ware. We were given disposable utensils and tiny water cups, no soda dispenser anymore! Prices reflect inflation, but quality was good. Stuffed Crust pizza still well done, melts on your palate cheese in the fluffy dough crust. Wings were tender and delicious, but pretty pricey with the smallest order being x8 for $12 after taxes. Mozzarella Sticks were crispy and came out fresh. Ah. Overall, a reminder of how times have changed. I miss the days of the pizza hut buffet with a full dining room, especially when filled with talkative, not social distancing wary persons. read more

Geesh! I hadn't been to Pizza Hut in a long while, but when I saw several ads for their $10 special for a large with 5 toppiings, I decided to order one. I got home and had a couple of pieces. The pizza wasn't warm and didn't seem freshly made. Everytime I pick up a pizza anywhere, it's always hot and cheesy. This one had very little cheese and toppiings. The crust didn't even have any flavor. It was VERY disappointing. I will not order another pizza from Pizza Hut again. No wonder the place always seems to be empty when I drive by. PIZZA HUT gave up completely. They aren't even trying to keep customers anymore. I had a very disappointing experience with the manager, David, at this Pizza Hut. I ordered two pizzas and asked for light sauce on both, one personal and one medium. When I mentioned the medium pizza didn't have light sauce, I was told that "light sauce" doesn't mean the same thing for different pizza sizes and that I needed to "learn like their other customers." Even after returning the pizza completely, I was told I was wrong and that if I couldn't "learn their system," I'd keep getting my orders wrong. What really bothered me was the attitude. David told me to stay quiet and not interrupt while he was speaking. I've never been talked to like that at any restaurant. I was a regular Pizza Hut customer, but after this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. To make things worse, when I tried calling the corporate number (1-800-948-8488), all it did was play a message telling me to contact the store directly, unless I wanted to donate money. Just wanted to give kudos to the Pizza Hut on West Avenue. I stopped by there yesterday to pick up a pizza I placed an order for earlier. And I opened the box. I was totally thrilled at how wonderful it looked. Lots of cheese and pepperonis just like I asked for. I've been to many Pizza Hut, but this one out rinks any of them. The crust was wonderful. Nothing was burned and the service received with A1. I recommend this Pizza Hut to anyone in the area and anyone who would like to just go drive there and try it. Thank you guys! read more

Placed an order online. Went to pick it up & it was closed nobody was inside! Someone didn't get up to open the store at 11am. Called me 2 hrs later to try to fulfill my order but request to have a refund. I'm glad I got my money back. Will never order from this Pizza Hut ever again. I would give it fewer stars if I could. Came in for the buffet about 12:20. All of the pizza was freezing, which makes the thin crust super hard. All of the options had either pepperoni or sausage, with only bell pepper or onion as a vegetable choice. No croutons in the salad bar. There were only 2 other tables occupied, so it's not as though they were too busy to keep up. While we were eating our pizza, we ordered Cinnabon. 15 mins later, they had not arrived so I asked our server. She said, "oh, um...yeah." They arrived 10 mins later. She had cleared the table, so we only had one fork and she never checked on us and there was no one on the front to ask. I had to find her so we could pay our tab and she never apologized for the delay or asked us about our meal. NEVER again. This location is a joke. They got our pizza order wrong, despite having the correct receipt attached to our pizza box. They did get the wings correct surprisingly. We called them to request a fresh pizza while we return the 2 pasta dishes and 1 set of breadsticks that wasn't ours. We requested a new fresh pizza knowing by now it was cold. They said they would do that for us. We go back only to find that no one was there to help us. One woman was sweeping the floors in the back, saw us, and ignored us. We had to call the store just to have someone come up to the front. We asked if the "new" pizza box they are now giving us is a new pizza. It is not. This was the original pizza we should of had in the first place. We will never be going to this location ever again. This never EVER should of been a problem. Oh dear God I don't even know where to begin..... So Sunday due to a kitchen disaster my fiancé and I decided to order delivery. Everything is all fine and dandy and the order was delivered on time, but when we receive our pizzas there was no sauce despite the online order being specified that both were to have normal sauce. I called the manager who said he would refire those and have them redelivered. Almost an hour and 15 minutes after I still didn't receive the remade pizzas. So I called back and was told this was placed as a "carry out," but am thinking this was NOT right because this was supposted to be redelivered. So we both got 75 minute old pizzas, all soaked in grease. There was a prior order made months ago when we first moved to San Antonio late summer and her pizza literally was SCREAMING RAW in the middle and unconsumable. I was told on this one that they "couldn't" redeliver it but I had to pick it up myself. As an ex pizza delivery driver, this does NOT compute in any sense of the word. Understandably, there are remakes that have to be redelivered; but this location seemingly REFUSES to redeliver remakes from personal experience. And with now TWO major mistakes (not due to the driver); I will NOT be returning to this location, even for carryout!!!!! Honestly one of the most dismal PH franchises I have had the displeasure of ordering from. When the pizza is made right it is delicious. I ordered there box dinner deal and the bread sticks and cinnamon sticks wear almost as flat as a paper plate. I recently ordered similar from Dominos. Pizza hut was far superior... salad was not prepackaged like Dominos but fresh...also $3 less and had more ingredients. The pizza was full of topping compared to the Dominos which was sparse. I'll never order Dominos again. Do not order from this place!!!! We ordered 3 pizzas for delivery. We received 2 pizzas at delivery. Called and was on hold for 10 minutes just to have the employee tell me to call back in 30 minutes because the manager was not there. As someone who as worked at a pizza place, I would be ashamed to serve some of the pizzas they have served me. Tonight I ordered their big box deal. The pan pizza has no toppings on the corner pieces. The pizza is a rectangle and it was sauced and topped like an oval pizza! The bread sticks were over seasoned. Which sounds awesome, but it is not! I ordered online. Receive confirmation of my order at 627pm. This was for a pick-up order. 15 minutes for order to be ready. My wife goes to get it and came home with the wrong order... I ordered stuffed crust pizza with half cheese only and other half sausage, bacon and pineapple. She came home with a thin crust veggie lovers. We called to complain, person who answered the phone offered no apology and simply said she'd get the manager. The Manager also didn't apologize and asked what it was I ordered, then asked for my phone number and was able to see my order on her end. I'm only putting one star because I can't put zero, but I put in an order late at night and accidentally put in the wrong address by one digit. The driver called me and told me that he couldn't find the apartment so I apologized, gave him the correct address and he told me that he would be on the way. Forty minutes later the pizza still hasn't arrived so I called the store and they told me that the address was out of their area so they couldn't take it, which was fine but no one had called to let me know so I wasted close to an hour waiting on a pizza that was not coming.
