Worst salad I've ever had. While the ingredients were mostly fresh, I feel like I just ate a pound of salt and have that after burn in my mouth from eating too much salt. Who puts so much salt in a freaking salad!? Im pretty sure it was the dressing but could also be salted sunflower seeds. I only used one of the two provided sides of dressings. I pitty the person who puts two on without trying it first. The dressing is called "Sesame Tahini" which makes no sense because Tahini is made from sesame seeds. Delicious pizza! I had a small half Dragon and half Classic pizza. It was amazing! The dragon has great sweet and spicy peppers, jerk chicken, garlic and pineapples. The classic tastes more or less like a combo pizza but it was also very good. I came back from Italy a couple weeks ago and I have to say that the pizza at Pizza Luce was better than most of the pizza I had in Italy. In fact, it was one of the best I've ever had. In addition, the people working there were very nice, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place. read more

We are staying at a B&B in Duluth and with no in-person dining allowed (CoVid), we decided to have dinner delivered. After making our selections from the online menu I called and spoke with a very pleasant lady. She was very upbeat. She said they were rather busy, but we'd have it in 45 minutes. 22 minutes later the phone rang and our food was here already. We ordered lasagne, mostaccioli, and garlic cheese bread. Food was piping hot and very tasty. They provided plates, napkins, and utensils. One portion is enough for two people, especially with the bread. We will definitely order from them again next time we are in town. read more

It's been a long time since I've given an establishment 5 stars. My wife and I were staying in a hotel fairly close to this establishment and decided to have them deliver to our room since we spent a fair amount of the day on the road. They didnt disappoint. We ordered a large pizza and an order of wings. Delivery was prompt and followed the directions that we left at delivery. The ingredients on the pizza were extremely fresh and we were extremely surprised at how fresh the food was in light of the fact that it was a delivery. My wife and I wondered how much better could it be even if we were there. Even when we ordered online for delivery we were given a 45-55 minute wait time and we still had it within a half hour. Overall a fantastic experience and wonderful food. We will definitely recommend this to friends of ours who might be traveling to the areas in the future. Margheurita Pizza was delicious, but I didn't think it was anything special. The fabled Buffalo wings here is actually quite good. The meat is slightly thicker and more plump than most chicken wing places I've come across...as strange as that may sound. I got the Tangy BBQ flavored one and it was more tangy than I expected (more than I liked it to be) but was delicious nonetheless. If you've spent any amount of time in Minneapolis, you've heard SOMEONE suggest Pizza Luce for lunch or late night grub. There's a good reason for that - it's fab pizza with really fresh toppings! However, this review is based on a visit to the Duluth location for BREAKFAST....yep, you read that right.....the most important meal of the day, especially before the long trek back to the Twin Cities from up North ;P I was SUPER IMPRESSED with the menu, but not so much with the results. What I mean is, A++ for effort in all the currently pertinent areas of a menu.....low-carb options, vegan-friendly fare, allergen-aware suggestions....love that! But I fear the execution needs some work for such an ambitious menu. My apple oatmeal (or was it buckwheat? The visit was back in July and I'm a bit hazy on specifics) pancakes were still just cool batter in the center :( My friend's eggs were way over-cooked. And the coffee refills were too few and far between. However, the fact that my own personal juglet of soy milk was brought to the table to enhance the actual coffee experience kept me smiling anyway. I wish I lived closer so that I could go back for a do-over. Maybe I'll hit up one of the locations in the cities and see if I get a few more warm and fuzzies the next time around. Meanwhile, there is always the need for a late night grub grab and Pizza Luce's sausage & mushroom takes the prize :) read more

I want to like and support Pizza Lucé but the quality of the Duluth branch is hit or miss since COVID. We just ordered 3 vegan Parmesan (with extra veggies which were Mia) and ultimate veggie. The 3 vegan ones were incredibly dry, not enough sauce, and are certainly not the sandwiches I had when they first opened. Really disappointing you've let your quality control drop off. I typically speak highly of this location - however recently I put in an order for pickup and all was fine until I went to balance my account. I noticed that the register had added an additional $4 dollars on to my tip. I have a receipt for $48.67 and a charge on my card for $52.67 from the same day. I know $4 is nothing to write home about, however if this is a common occurrence for those employees who work here, I'm sure it adds up over time. My 6 year old says "this place has the best pizza ever". Kiddos have dairy and wheat allergy. They have alternatives for both. Mommy and daddy enjoyed a Ruby Rae. Sauce on top of the toppings. Amazing. The Bent Paddle Brewery selections on tap were fresh and poured in a clean glass. I would tell anyone who has a taste for amazing pizza to bring the family here. As someone with gluten and dairy allergies I was quite impressed with the quality of product and taste when it came to what they offered. Most restaurants give crappy substitutes and overcharge. Pizza Lucé seems to actually care about making sure their food allergy customers enjoy their food and service. Super thankful for them! My husband's old fashioned was high quality and the food was beautifully presented. Our waiter was patient and very kind. And I was pleased to see that they didn't allow kids in the bar room which is nice because sometimes adults just want a safe space to adult and the dining room has lovely large windows that most kids would prefer to people watch by anyways. My only two *complaints* (more like observations), was that 1) the bathrooms have a shared hand washing station and so when I walked in I panicked thinking I had possibly walked into the mens room. And 2) one of the gals working must've ended her shift during our meal but she continued to tag along one of her friend's who was still working chattering away. So it kind of felt odd but hey it looked like they were vibin'. I really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back again. The service was excellent- we needed a quick bite before we went to a memorial service and stopped here on a friend's recommendation. We ordered classic eggs Benedict and Bloody Mary bar. The Bloody Mary bar was great- 4 different tomato blends to go into your glass of ice and vodka and all the garnishes you need. They even give you a mini beer bottle for a chaser. The bummer was the eggs. Eggs over cooked, meaning no runny yolk, hollandaise sauce had no flavor and the ham was gristly. Hollandaise should taste of herbs and lemon juice. This sauce tasted of nothing but butter and salt. We got our check right away and got to our service on time. read more
