My favorite pizza place in NY! I was born in Ny but grew up in Miami. Most of my family stayed in New York, so I would visit frequent every year or so. Since I was a kid and every time I come to New York through out the years, I ALWAYS come here specifically for my Pizza fix. They are the BEST neighborhood authentic New York Style Pizza hands down. Perfectly made pizza dough, bread, sauce and stretchy cheeeseee!!! I order my slice of pizza and my kiwi strawberry Snapple and I'm a happy camper. I have even had my aunt fly in to NY and buy me pizza from here, foil wrap it, freeze it and fly back & brought to me to MIAMI, Fl...where I re-heat it and joyously eat it! :) They have friendly and excellent service and make you feel like family. This will be my forever pizza place. Love, A Forever Pizza Palace Fan

I've been a loyal customer since 1982 I love the staff and George I miss seeing him and my daughter too but this is the Best PIZZA in DYCKMAN HANDS DOWN

Love this place!!! I had never been here until a few weeks ago but always hear my partner and his friends talking good about this spot so I decided to give it a try and got some slices for me to roll up to the movies. They were delishhhhh!!! Came back twice after that and ALWAYS receive the same great attention and customer service. The oven is right there in front of you and you can see them making the pizzas. The spot is also super tiny like can size and it's never empty, sometimes crowded, guess that's good. Try it out if you're ever in Dyckman. Xoxo -Post review

Also known as Johnny's in Dyckman, this is one of the best take out pizzerias in uptown /Inwood. All the gentlemen who work here are super nice and work quickly. I've never ever had any issues with my pizza from here. They do have a few tables towards the back if you do want to eat there. This restaurant is pretty small so while you're waiting for your slice or meal there will be a bunch of people waiting as well depending on the time of day. I love that their pizza is a great size, has the perfect amount of cheese and sauce, and has a nice crunchy crust. It's pretty much almost perfection. When I used to eat my favorite slice there was their chicken slice. They put the nicest pieces of chicken cutlets on the slice and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Now I just usually get either a plain slice or a mushroom. Can't go wrong with this place and they stay open pretty late, which is another plus.

Walk in your typical New York pizza joint: small, narrow and a bit stuffy. One thing is for sure though, there is nothing typical about their pizza! If you're in the Washington Heights area- I believe this maybe Inwood, I definitely recommend you stop here. I recommend the Chicken pizza the topping will leave you speechless. I bit my whole cheek! Stays open til 1am.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

It is located right in the hallway of a subway entrance, next to a bar and across from a coffee shop, and it somehow manages to feel like a cozy, sit-down restaurant right in the middle of NYC. Don't let the odd location fool you, the food here is outstanding. The Neapolitan and Sicilian-style pizzas are both exceptional, with rich, well-balanced flavors and perfectly executed crusts. Every bite tastes high quality. Also, don't skip the house-made lemonade! The experience is even better because of the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They were all so kind to so many people. From offering to keep leftovers in the fridge until a customer was done at their broadway show, to offering a scone to a young child while he and his father waited for their pizza to be done, it was more than just flipping a table and onto the next tip, it was humanity at its best. Be sure to give See No Evil Pizza a try. You certainly will want to come back again for more.

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!

We ended up skipping the appetizers and getting a chicken parmigiana and a half order of the rigatoni vodka! It was just enough for us. The chicken parmigiana was just right. It's their star and we can see why. The chicken was breaded well and dressed in the rich sauce and cheese. The breading was not overdone and the chicken was moist and tasty.
