Very friendly staff who work here. Called ahead to place the order of a large pepperoni/jalapeño pizza and a side of hot wings. When I arrived, the pizza was ready. Staff was extremely friendly here, and acknowledged be 20% off Yelp check-in discount. Pizza was good - I've had better. The wings were better than most take-out food pizza joints that I've been to. They provided us with plenty of ranch to meet our dipping needs. I wish they had provided us with more crushes red peppers though. We brought it home and there was literally only one small packet; that's it. Luckily, since there were jalapeños on the pizza, it made up for the spiciness. The price came out to about $20 which is about average. Based on the other reviews, I can see why this place is regarded as a better than average pizza joint. Thanks guys! read more

What a great deal! $3.99 for a LARGE slice of pizza and soda. I must have been starving because I ate it all before remembering that I should have taken a picture of my pepperoni pizza. The pizza was thin and the crust was crispy. It was a bit oily but I understand that it happens with cheese and pepperoni. It was actually very good. I'd get the same thing next time, only I'd have to get some ranch. I probably waited about 5-7 minutes after ordering. I took my pizza to go. Highly recommended! read more

I love that they make heart shaped pizza's here year around... however the pizza just isn't that good :( The two times I've ordered from here the pizza was thin but soggy and ridiculously oily with not enough sauce. Prices are super reasonable though, shame the pizza is subpar. read more

For $20 you get a large which seems like the size of a medium elsewhere. The pizza is very dry and has no sauce. I literally did not taste one ounce of pizza sauce. They weren't stingy with their side sauces and stuff but I take pizza very seriously and I'm pizzed off right now. Never again read more

This place is our family favorite. We order atleast once a week (yes, an embarrassing amount of pizza lol.) The pizza is always fresh and every kind I've tried is delicious. I get the veggie lover's pizza which is the only place nearby that adds artichoke. The pepperoni pizza is never too salty like other local spots I've tried, too. The other things on the menu are great, too. Southwest/Mexican salad, garden salad, garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, cheese bread, chicken tenders, you name it. All amazing! Also, the delivery is always super quick and every deliver, every person over the phone and everyone I've come across when I've done pick-up are all fantastic. We just ordered for the first time here and it was really good! We got the medium deluxe pizza, meatball side and cheesecake. The serving size was pretty good and the taste was amazing! The price is also very reasonable! The staff was very nice and friendly and even told us that they do delivery since we just live 5 minutes away. Really happy to have this place in the neighborhood. I have ordered from them multiple times, and whether it's pizza, garlic knots, or khachapurri, the food does not disappoint. That's likely because their dough is really great. They are pretty fast with delivery and pickup, and are friendly on the phone. They have good salads as well. The only thing I haven't tried yet is a sandwich- but definitely on my list!! read more

Hands down one of our favorite pizza places. Good flavor, the crust isn't super thick so you don't feel like you're just wading through flour and filler to get to the delicious toppings. Their cheese pizza is a nice budget friendly option. We've also ordered there specialities and they're pretty good also. It's also just a nice saucy cheesy pizza. You get to also see your pizza come out as the oven is facing it from the counter while they're making it. I know they use a blend of different cheeses. My girlfriend and I both agreed we never need to come back here again. We thought we would try out this place because we were in the neighborhood and saw that they served huge slices of pizza, which seemed cool. Though, eating at the actual location was a huge let down. The food on the other hand wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't good enough to make up for the lousy dining experience. The main issue we had was with the bald guy with glasses behind the counter (who we assumed was the owner by his demeanor with the other employees). He lacked hospitality and honestly was quite rude. First off, I asked if they were able to put olives on only half of the slice of pizza. The reason I thought I could ask this is because the slices are extremely large (they literally cut the pizza slice into multiple individual slices- that's how big it is). The guy behind the counter stared at me as if I was spreading peanut butter on my face while singing the ABC's in a child's voice. He flat out said no, butttt... in a slightly aggressive way as if I offended his restaurant. He didn't even consider it or explain why they couldn't. I figured olives are such an easy ingredient to sprinkle on a pizza, that it shouldn't be an issue. Whatever, I decided in that moment it wasn't a big deal and that I could just individually pick the olives off on my side of the gigantic pizza slice. The next issue was when we asked for water. Oh boy. Again, he just stared at me as if I transformed into an elephant wearing a monocle. Finally, he must've concluded that it was a fair request because after a couple moments of scrutinizing at me, he turned around and yelled at some employee for water. So the employee grabbed two small styrofoam cups and walked over to a sink in the kitchen and poured us tap water (obviously I know because I saw him do it). My girlfriend and I are fine with tap water, but the whole thing was just weird and uncomfortable. We wanted ice in the water too (since the water was warm), but at that point I realized asking for basic eating necessities is just too much of a burden for this place. Being the cup of water was so small, and it seemed like such a hassle, we actually made a separate trip to Starbucks next door (while waiting for the pizza) to order two waters to drink with our pizza. The next issue we had was that there were no condiments or silver/plastic ware anywhere to be found. What pizza place, or any restaurant for that matter, doesn't offer these things? For a pizza joint, I'm thinking of chili flakes, parmesan, salt/pepper, oregano, etc. and some forks and knives anywhere would be nice. Good news is, they have free napkins and they are readily available. But I wouldn't be surprised if the man got mad that I took one too many of his restaurant's paper napkins. The last issue we had was when I ordered the pizza, I asked for ranch. Now that, for whatever reason, instantly made perfect sense to the man at the counter, and he said he would include it (whereas all my other request included an awkward stare down between the two of us- which he definitely got the better of). When we got our food, there was no ranch (we were not surprised to say the least). I really didn't want to bother the bald guy anymore, since asking for an ingredient on one side of the pizza and for water was so troublesome, but the good boyfriend I am made sure my girlfriend had her ranch. So again I went up to the counter and asked for ranch. Now, what the guy does, is he pokes his head around the corner to inspect our table to see if we got ranch. I mean, really dude? Even if we did get our ranch, you couldn't give us a second one if we wanted? Being that he saw we indeed did not get any ranch, he reached over and gave me a ranch. I figured that the fact he had to see if we got ranch must have meant that this was some heavenly sent ranch from the skies in a beautifully large sculpted ramekin made from the finest oak wood in the Western USA. Of course, it wasn't. It was just a little plastic ramekin of mediocre ranch. As you can tell, it was not the most pleasant experience for us. I mean, we came to simply get a slice of pizza, buttt... it wasn't so simple. I can think of a hundred other places in LA that I would rather get pizza from. The food itself is fine, but in my opinion, not worth eating at the actual location. The reason I am giving two stars instead of one star is because the pizza was not expensive, and maybe this is just one of those places that is only good at doing takeout. But if you offer in-house dining, you have to be friendly and offer the bare necessities to a meal. read more

Pizza is good but they deserve only 1 star for their horrible customer service . I always order from them but today was the last day I will do that . I ordered a large pepperoni pizza for my nieces when she picked it up and brought it home it was a large cheese pizza. I know mistakes can happen and that's fine but when I called to let them know the guy was very rude and told me I ordered a cheese pizza and wouldn't accept his mistake . A normal person would say sorry for the mistake we'll make you a pepperoni pizza come and pick up a new one. That's what you do to keep your customers happy . Not tell me I'm wrong and that's not what I ordered. read more

Review is for the Margarita Pizza, it's freshly made and delicious. Parking is difficult and small. Glendale bee line stops in front though but I think they mostly get delivery orders. Great pizza for the price. We ordered the veggie pizza and a small Italian salad which only came out to $13 and included delivery! (Delivery minimum is $10.) We used the 20% off coupon for first timers when checking in on yelp. Pizza was thin & crispy. Not the best pizza I've had but overall good experience so it gets a 4! Also, their house made Italian dressing was so delicious. Great service too. Easy to order. They don't charge you extra for sides of sauce or jalapeños, etc. read more

The customer service here is all about pleasing the customer. The guy (I believe he was one of the owners) who handled my "to go" order was extremely cool and personable. He even prepared what seemed like a custom order of pesto lasagna for me at my request without any hesitation. We also ordered the eggplant sandwich and a Greek salad (both came with sun-dried tomatoes). Oh...and they did all this knowing that I was using a Groupon! My friend ordered in from here and we tried the caesar salad and margherita pizza. The salad was good and the ingredients were fresh. The pizza was pretty good too. Usually I get the Korean bowl and a torta but today I got the Milano and pastrami as well as Korean bowl and it was delicious, it's REAL FOOD and is worth it especially when a lot of place's don't even have real food like this. I'd give more stars if I could and truly wishing the best for Jack and Papa's meat and seafood company! Definitely come here for any butcher needs or some real food!

I mentioned this because we missed it on one of our attempts. Finally, on Sunday evening, my husband and I had a chance to visit Butcher and Booze. Very interesting store, with a delicious smell. There is a huge section of drinks where you can find very unique wines and alcoholic beverages. They also have a section of Japanese drinks, and in another corner, different kinds of unique seasonings, BBQ charcoal, and other BBQ supplies. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Next to the drinks section, there are several tables available indoors and two tables on the sidewalk for outdoor dining to enjoy your meals. Their food menu is very interesting, and we tried the Philly cheesesteak and pastrami sandwiches (which they prepare completely in-house from A to Z). The sandwiches were super delicious, juicy, and full of flavor. One thing that surprised me was the amount of salt they used -- it was exactly the right amount, and we didn't get thirsty after eating them. These sandwiches are some of the best we've tried so far, and I highly recommend giving them a try. I noticed a huge samovar (large kettle) and another kettle in the corner of the open kitchen, and I asked about them. Argisht, who noticed my interest and who I believe is behind the kitchen and the delicious food success there, started a very warm and helpful conversation with us and surprised us by serving cups of tea. The tea tasted super soft and delicious. If you have ever tried Middle Eastern tea, you will love this tea. Luckily, they are selling it in the store, if I am not wrong it was Sri Lanka tea, which I have never seen in any store around Glendale or Burbank. Thank you for the great food, awesome store, and very positive and friendly service. With just one visit, Butcher and Booze will become one of your usual spots, so don't miss it!

We came here on Christmas Eve hoping to try their sandwiches but to also buy some meat as a white elephant gift. First off we were greeted warmly by the staff - not just the cashier but every staff member working behind the counter. On top of that, they gave us a shot of cognac for my husband and I to try. We decided to try buy some wagyu burger patties for the white elephant (we ended up winning these back during our white elephant - they were excellent!). The patties were juicy, rich, and so tasty! Can't wait to try other cuts! When we checked out, they offered us two small complimentary bottles of champagne and some produce from their refrigerated area. this was so kind of them to do so. This place is like your one stop shop - hot food, butcher, alcoholic drinks, liquor, and other cooking goods like seasonings, caviar, butter etc. Unfortunately they were not serving sandwhiches that day so we didn't get to try but we will definitely be coming back to try! Thanks so much to the staff and Butcher and Booze for treating us like fam.
