I don't have high expectations for Pizza Plus but the food should be at least semi hot when you're early for pick up. I walked in and the lady taking orders was super friendly. I ordered with a buy one, get one free coupon from a local discount coupon I got from a coworker's child who was selling them for school. She was friendly the entire time and said 25 minutes. It took maybe that, definitely not more (I also lost track of time but it didn't feel like forever) and I was on my way out with my pizzas. So we love Pizza Plus and have gone here for years. We ordered pizza and wings on Christmas Eve. We paid using a CREDIT FROM PRIOR ORDER BEING MESSES UP. So I only paid $3 out of pocket. We always get the best customer service and food from this place. Our neighborhood pizza joint is a national chain and at the start of this pandemic, we were ordering from there. Grew up in Sparks and I have been away for many years now, and this is still my favorite pizza place. Came by today and it still hasn't changed. Service was friendly and fast. The pizza upgraded the ham from the typical thin and flat ham to nice big pieces. The half platter that consist of perfectly seasoned steak fries, chicken tenders with mild sauce, and fried mushrooms were all fresh and great. Also I remember paying for ranch back then and now they give a big tube of it, hands down best ranch ever. Doesn't have that weird after taste like some. I'm pretty picky on pizza places so I'm not sure why such low ratings on this place. Before I begin, let me say that I love Pizza Plus and my review of this location is an exception, not the rule. If you go to ANY OTHER of the four Pizza Plus locations here in town, your experience will be markedly better. That being said: The customer service at this location is absolutely pathetic. My brother and I went in for lunch the other day. We were standing at the counter for a good 3 minutes or so before someone decided to show his face and take our order. We ordered two drinks along with our pizzas. After paying for our order, we went to get our drinks, only to find that the soda was incredibly flat. We brought this to the attention of the guy who took our order, to which he said they called somebody over the weekend and then nonchalantly told us that he "didn't know what [he] can do" for us. He made no attempt to apologize or suggest something else to "make us whole." I recommended he refund us for our drinks, to which he tried to say he "couldn't." When he saw that we weren't going to accept that answer, he called one of the cooks from the back who showed him how to use the cash register and give us a refund for solely the drinks. My brother then bought a 2-liter soda for us, although I wished he wouldn't give them more money. Then, we waited over a half hour for pizza that we were told would take "15-20 minutes tops." It tasted alright, but it was nowhere near the quality I expect from Pizza Plus. The sad thing is, I have been in situations where I've ordered from this location before, and this experience is on par with my other experiences here over the last 5 years or so. This location has really gone down the toilet. The only reason I'm giving this location one star is because that's the lowest rating I can give. Let me start by saying that we have always frequented the Pizza Plus location on Prater, which we've loved, and which is also closed for renovations... We decided to take our adventure to the Vista location because their food has always been consistent and it sounded simply delightful at the time... We called ahead so that our food would be ready for us when we arrived. We ordered beverages. We found ourselves a seat. This is where the disgust began. There was not a single clean seat in the entire establishment. This is a GIANT building with a significant amount of tables and chairs... there were TWO other parties there and at least 6 workers sitting around chit chatting and not doing anything.... The floors were disgusting. The tables hadn't been cleaned off from prior patrons, to the point that the ice had melted from their cups that had been left. We found the cleanest table available, although the floors were disgusting. We waited for our food - Pizza, wings, fries, veggie sticks... and were given 2 small ranch cups for 4 adults... when we requested more, the young lady politely gave us 1 more small range - again for 4 adults. We were clearly inconveniencing them by asking for condiments for our food - and I don't like feeling like a burden, especially after they were just tipped very well. We continued to dine and enjoy each other's company at our table, all while the employees sat around chit chatting with other employees that were not on the clock... a young gentleman finally started cleaning up some of the tables that were left a mess, but it was half-assed at best... it's clear that there is no cleanliness expectation between patrons at this location. The final straw... we had ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese... only to find pineapple on the pizza. I brought this to the attention of Ashley, who rolled her eyes at me and walked away. A member of my family is highly allergic to pineapple, and had this pizza been brought home as leftovers, it could have been a very big problem. Ashley then refused to give me her name and when i asked for the manager, Ashley came back offering to make me another pizza... when I asked again for the manager - the manager wouldn't even discuss the pizza situation with me, totally threw Ashley under the bus by telling me her name, but wouldn't give me his own name. This establishment is filthy, has zero customer service, and does not give a damn about keeping or maintaining customers. I can't wait until the Prater location reopens! I like pizza plus a bunch. Good value. Love their wings. I did see a lot of people beating them up on wait times and cleanliness. I do agree sometimes they have huge waits and issues with orders...but man, this place gets busy. They get so busy, that they will stop taking orders, especially on large sporting events. I do agree though, that they could keep the place a little cleaner... I always get Teriyaki wings and a Pepperoni and Bacon Pizza...the best. Good, greasy food!!! read more

They lady that works the counter is probably the rudest person I have ever met. She actually told me to wait she was just back here being lazy. That's how you are greeted, then you try and find a set in a absolutely nasty seating area. Update: Congratulations to Pizza plus on their 35 year anniversary! With that said, I was terribly disappointed tonight. Earlier this week I received an email stating that PP was celebrating 35 years of business by selling wings for $.35 each (limit 100) and large 1 topping pizza for $3.50 (limit 3). Once I showed my wife the email, we put our dinner plans on hold (home made balsamic chicken), so that we could take advantage of this incredible deal. My wife called 15 times and only received a busy signal, so I decided to drive to the restaurant to place an order. I arrived soon after 5:00 to a full parking lot only to find signs on the door "Sorry for the inconvenience, we are no longer taking orders". Unappreciated the offer that they tried to do, but this was an obvious fail on the part of management to ensure that they could meet the inventory need to handle the business that would ensue. As a result of this fiasco, we were left scrambling to do something for dinner We went there last night and decided to order the large pizza, full wing combo. The lady took my name and order and read it back to is correctly. We ordered sausage and onion on the pizza and half nitro (sloppy) and half dragon (sloppy) and we were told that it would be 15 minutes. After 20 minutes I inquired about our order, but the girl could not find my order and asked for my receipt. She took a couple more minutes and informed me that they could not find my order most likely because there was no name on my receipt, did I mention that she asked my name when I ordered? This review is only on there chicken wings. I have had there pizza and it tastes like someone put some pizza sauce on a flip flop and melted some cheese. But I am not reviewing the pizza. I have always loved pizza plus wings,going back when they had all you could eat at lunch buffet. I loved it, my doctor did not. The sauce is what makes these wings. They definitely do not get wings with alot of meat on them. There must be grades to chicken wings, like Jose Canseco size chicken wings to the nerdy kid who does not play sports wings. These wings are just above the nerdy kid and right on the same level as the wall flower at the high school dance. (That was me ). Like. I said before it is the sauce that keeps me coming back. I most of the time order mild. But when i feel wild i will get a order of medium. If you would have asked me a few months ago where the best pizza place ever was, I would say here. They were a 5 star pizza place. However, over the last few months, little things have been irritating me. Their pizza quality is still 5 star, but these are the issues I've been having.... - Their wings used to be big and meaty....really yummy. Now, they are small and skimpy and more expensive. - They have some of the best ranch dressing everywhere. Well, they now only give you 1/3 the amount they used to. They downsized the container to make it look like you are still getting a lot, but you're not. I dip my pizza, wings and fries in it and it's not even enough for half a medium pizza some fries and some wings. It's pretty disappointing. - Their prices increased. I ordered the Small Wing with Fries, and thought the portion (10-12 wings) and a generous serving of fries for $8.99 was a decent value, and I appreciated that they also came with ranch and some carrots and celery. The restaurant has a comfy and family friendly atmosphere, and made me nostalgic for similar restaurants that I grew up with back in my hometown. Once they show up "on time" both are cold and the fries are just regular fries not garlic. A call to the same semi rude lady on the phone and she says once the driver comes back we'll fix it. Within 20 minutes garlic fries "mashed potatoes" are delivered. 40 minutes later after baking they are fries but the garlic Parmesan has been baked off. So for $96.33 you get less than 40 wings and have to cook your own fries. Don't worry if you call they will tell you the wings are based on weight. Raleys, the most expensive store around will cost you $12 for wings will get you about 20. I have never written a bad review on anyone but this is twice. We used to go to the Prater location, but this one is so much closer to home. We used to have softball parties at Pizza Plus. We'd order the huge platters of chicken strip, fried mushrooms, french fries and pizza. GOOD TIMES! I went to the lunch buffet today and it was really great actually. We've been coming here for a couple of years. The pizza is pretty good, for Reno,lol! The wings are usually nice and saucy The fries are good, and the celery and carrot sticks are nice and crispy. The carrot sticks are real carrot sticks, cut from an adult carrot, not those 'baby carrots" that are just a processed nub ground down at a processing plant. :) The truth is in the taste. :) All of this yumminess is served with a container of ranch dressing that is pretty tasty, too.
