The great thing: They have NO problem creating a thin crust pizza with pepperoni and pepperoncinis that tastes AMAZING. The good things: friendly staff, great food, great price, lots of bang for your buck, innumerable options - vast menu. The not-so-good things: slow delivery time, grease (lots, not just the typical pizza/calzone/carb with cheese grease either), mediocre salads. All the pizzas I have tried were great, not too greasy, just right and crisp (I prefer thin crust)! As a matter of fact, it is so great that I refuse to order elsewhere. They have a wide array of toppings, which is a big perk because I am completely random with my toppings. Their other foods... come in HUGE portions and typically make 2 meals (their calzones are ginormous and can provide me with 2-3 meals depending on how hungry I am). Their pastas are pretty tasty too! I'm absolutely positive anyone will love this place, picky eaters or people that will happily shove anything into their mouths. Whatever they put in their dough - keep it up! I'm addicted. My only real complaints are their delivery time and the grease. Delivery time when I lived in apartments across the street - ~an hour. If you've had their calzones with pepperoni, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about, it's basically dripping with fluorescent orange grease. I realize this is typical of anything with pepperoni, but I'm not talking a little orange here... I'm talking drenched in the stuff. Pizz-ahella-no! So sorry I cheated on you, Marco!! Pizzarella sucked balls. I ate one piece of pizza and a couple cheesy bread sticks. The garlic butter was yummy but not sure you can mess that up. I am all about supporting our local businesses but this place is awful. Food would range for ok to great but the customer service was always in the toilet. My husband and I had placed a phone order and then (due to an emergency) could not get there to pick it up. I always feel welcome when I visit this restaurant. Their salads are always fresh (20 out of 20 visits and I have never gotten unfresh greens) and their pizza's are great, too. Just make sure you get a pizza off their specialty menu, versus trying to design your own. If want just a pepperoni pizza go to Pizza Hut, you will have better luck. The have great prices on beer and wine and, most of all I don't feel like I got ripped off after I pay the check. Four stars, nothing out of this world, but well worth your time and money. After reading all these amazing reviews, I realized I should have ordered a calzone or some pizza. My buddy and I decided to eat here because he lives walking distance from the place and I've read so many raves on Yelp. The service was friendly but a little on the slow side. The decor is family friendly but both tv's were playing ridiculous nonsense involving the Kardashians. Also, take out was realllllly popular. However, I will reiterate a highlight that Joe F. mentioned - $2 beer. No no no, it's better than you think. $2 Shiner in a frosty frosty mug. It doesn't get better than that. I had the baked ziti and my buddy had the chicken fettuccine alfredo. Both were very meh. I had to spice mine up with red pepper flakes. There wasn't anything special about this place. The pizza was just pizza, the mozzarella sticks were meh, and my husband said the pasta wasn't any good, actually terrible is the exact word he used. He has never said that about anywhere we have eaten. The service was good so I gave them a star for that. The pizza is at best "all right". I really think its frozen but not digorno. The draft beer is slightly warm, the service is not rude but service because they will deliver your food and drinks to the table. The place is usually loud with screaming kids at play and the tv blaring. I know, you're saying...then why do you go there...well, I have meetings there and its not by choice. Expensive - over $20 for two mediums - yikes! But omg - really really good - crazy good pizza, and I consider myself somewhat of a pizza connoisseur. We had the Pepperoni on original crust and the supreme on thin. The pepperoni was perfection; crispy pepperoni, gooey cheese and thick, foldable crust. The supreme was a delightful surprise with all fresh veggies and included tomatoes, but the thin is not actually a thin crust. I live across the street from this place and finally tried it. I had the Tuscan Pasta for to-go. It comes with chicken, but I substituted shrimp. This dish also has red bell peppers and spinach. When I got home the dish was almost tasteless and the spinach was obviously frozen and the shrimp were precooked salad shrimp (those real tiny ones). I really didn't want to eat it so I melted some butter and with a splash of white wine, garlic, salt and pepper for a sauce. What an improvement!!! Not what I expected from a local pizzeria. I have family from out of town (way out of town), that think this is the best pizza they have ever had. I don't disagree with them but... The pizza here is dependably as good as the service is dependably horrible. The attitude of the employees in person or over the phone is just awful. Call in for a delivery and be sitting down as it can knock you down at times. Rude? Oh yes they can be very rude. But, the food is good and this place is so close to my house. Did I say the food is good? The service if dining there is just as awful, they are not happy to see you and will let you know it. I had a hankering for a gyro today, so I went to this place near my house. I didn't think you could really f***k up a gyro, boy, was I wrong. I wish now I would have eaten it there, so I could've gotten my money back. The pita was so soaked in some sort of grease/water, it was mush. The meat was like gyro "Spam" not "real" meat. Neighborhood pizza place that delivers and has a casual dining room and small patio. It sells wine and beer, including draft beer. Food is above average and consistent with decent prices. Service is a little slow just because there is usually one person taking care of the whole dining room and he is also working the phones and cash register. As long as your are not in a rush this is a cool place to hang out. read more

I don't really recommend delivery because you WILL be waiting at least 45 minutes (regardless of the fact that we are right. across. the street.) Just moved here from California and my boyfriend and I are on the look out for a good pizza place. It's VERY hard to find a good one and we did have a GREAT pizza place back in Calif and we will miss them! So we decided to give this place a try after looking at the reviews. We ordered the special as well as the steak calzone. First the pizza, the sauce had good flavor as well as the dough being soft yet chewy, but VERY disappointed in how they chop up their toppings! What's the deal with that!? I mean pizza NEEDS to have full slices of pepperoni and BIG pieces of sausage as well as slices of veggies, but to chop up EVERYTHING into tiny pieces just made this pizza look like the one's in the freezer section in the market! The Steak Calzone, first bite was good, then as you go on the flavor starts to get odd. Again, tiny chopped up pieces...not enough cheese as well. Sad to report that this place isn't what I remember it to be. I used to frequent Pizzarella back around 2007-2008. Lived nearby and loved the cheese they used as well as the crust. The texture of the crust was thin, and what one would call 'authentic New York style'. I went back a few months ago excited to eat here again, and expecting the same taste that I remember. Unfortunately, I was dissapointed. I dont know if they are under new ownership now....or just have a different method of preparation...or what. But now, the crust is a LOT thicker...more like a Papa Johns crust. Thats fine I guess, if that is the kind of crust you like. But i'm a thin crust new york style kind of gal.
