Pizza 22 is adorable! It is a hop, skip and a jump away from my condo, so my fiance and I decided to give it a try. They have a great happy hour, only $5 for wood fired pizza. Unfortunately, the crust was a bit soggy and flimsy, but we did go on a busy Friday night so we will certainly be trying it again in hopes of something better. I had no idea this place would be so amazing! I have driven past this little pizza place many times but just last week my husband and I decided to go. I love the intimate cafe feel of this place. This place has kind of a sneaky location but once you go you'll never forget where it's at! Eclectic pizza and pasta combination's and sides. Great wine and beer selection, Italian beer!! Quite liked all the food ordered. True Napoli pizza was delicious. I also ordered the sliced meat platter and that was incredible, especially for the price, which was quite inexpensive for the giant platter received. We sat at the counter/bar because the place is small and there was nowhere else to be without a wait, which would have had us standing outside in the cold. Turned out to be a treat because the two guys working the counter were hilarious. Very unfortunate, but this place is going down. It was so good after it opened and not so good now. Had to ask for a water 3 times, asked for napkins! They ran out of scissors to cut pizza and overall the pizza is not that great. With competitors around the corner this place is losing on quality, service and prices. Came in here for dinner with a large group (about 12). Delightfully surprised at the food and service. The Caprese Salad was about as fresh as you can get. Tried several pizzas which were excellent. The pastas were just so-so. Wouldn't mind coming back on a return trip to West Seattle. read more

Cozy environment, great staff and most importantly delicious food!

Went with two friends of mine for a girls night. It was a little crowded but the staff changed the table around to accommodate us. I wasn't sure about the waiter at first, but he won us over by the end of the meal. All the food was....freaking awesome. The pizza was amazing and the salad we had before it was surprisingly good as well. The price was right as well, I seriously suggest going and getting a couple of pies to split. read more

Great Italian style pizza! Thin crust with sauce and toppings. We had the pepperoni and the inferno pizza! Oh, and the fire roasted smores!!!! Small, quaint and a decent beer and wine selection. Good pizza, very similar to the many other wood fire places in the area. They lose points for charging $6.50 for beer (!!!), not cutting the pizza for you (they give you scissors to cut with) and not having temperature control. It's way too hot in there. read more

I'm sorry to give a bad/mediocre review during Covid, but it must be done. We were wanting a delivery tonight and had wanted to try this pizza place. Their website said they had free delivery if you spent over $20 (not hard to do there) and provided a link. The link didn't work... Called them up and they said we'd have to order through GrubHub or someone else for delivery. We asked about their website saying free delivery and they said "not tonight". Well, okay..... we ordered anyway and went to pick up. Couldn't believe my $12 salad when I opened it - a pile of arugula with a little Gorgonzola, a little pancetta and some olive oil/balsamic dressing. Definitely not worth $12!! The pepperoni pizza with mushrooms at $21 also seemed overpriced for what it was. The flavor just didn't do it for us but I'm giving a 3 star (instead of 2) because perhaps we just aren't Neapolitan style pizza people. read more

We just moved to West Seattle from out of state and this is one of our new favorite neighborhood restaurants. We ate at the bar and had a salad and pizza. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. We ordered the inferno pizza and swapped out the meat for a fried egg which they will add to any pizza. As other reviewers have said it is a small place and very warm inside especially if you sit in the back near the oven, mental note to wear short sleeves next time. We will be back! read more

Great service, fun to watch the process, and I suspect when it hits the jackpot it is amazing. This is a tiny place, but the pizza is delicious. It is thin-style, and they give you giant scissors to cut the slices. No kidding! Perhaps this is Italian? I immediately broke my scissors, and the woman at the table next to us helped me put them back together, much to my wife's amusement. We always seem to end up here Friday night, when it is absolutely packed. The beers are also good - they always have a Georgetown ale; last time it was Lucille's terrific IPA. Holy balls, this is a great pizzeria!! The pesto chicken calzone was the best calzone I have ever had. It is massive and I somehow managed to wolf it down because of the astounding flavor. I've never written a bad review. But I guess I had high expectations for pizzeria 22. I called ahead because I didn't have time to be waiting around. Well that didn't help. I was told to come pick it up in ten minutes. I show up in ten. Wait another 20. 30 minutes I was waiting. I was getting impatient but I assumed this just meant my pizza was going to be delicious, right? Wrong. The bottom of my pizza was partly burnt. Not crisp...BURNT.
