In all honesty, I thought was just a place that was hyped up because of social media. Boy was I proved wrong, this place has very high quality food that was served fresh. The service was really nice, they brought us water refills often, offered to box up our food, and were served with a smile every time. Would come again. read more

Still thinking about this pizza! It was probably one of the best pizzas l've had. The crust was incredible. Wait time was about 2 hours which seemed on the lower end for this place. Worth the wait! The ambiance inside made you feel like you were in Europe and you can watch them prep + cook with the pizza oven. read more

If you're even remotely into pizza, Pizzeria Bianco is a must, no exaggeration. Tucked inside Heritage Square in Downtown Phoenix, this place is the kind of historic gem that lives up to the hype. Opened by Chris Bianco in the 1980s (yes, before downtown was even cool), it's been praised by everyone from the James Beard Foundation to Oprah. And for good reason. We came in on a hot Arizona afternoon, and from the second we walked in, the vibe was perfectooo, casual but elevated, cozy but buzzing with energy. The staff is super friendly and clearly takes pride in what they're serving. We ordered the Sonny Boy (with salami and olives salty, savory perfection) and the Farmer's Market Salad, which changes weekly. Ours had peaches this time, and it was the perfect sweet-savory combo to balance the richness of the pizza. The crust is what makes it: blistered just right from the wood-fired oven, with that chewy-soft center and crispy edge that's pure magic. Every bite tasted like it was made with intention. A heads up: there WILL be a wait, but it's worth every minute. Grab a drink and walk around Heritage Square while you wait--it adds to the experience. Pizza lived up to the hype for us! The margherita was our favorite and the best margarita pizza we've had. The Rosa had pistachios and we added fennel sausage, it was also good but we wish we got two margheritas. The service was very nice and they have a great lambrusco by the glass. read more

The pizza was BOMB! I loved it! The crust, the sauce, the creative toppings, it was just perfection. I also had a salad with pear and candied nuts, it was nice. The service was odd. We had different people coming up to the table and it seemed like they weren't communicating at all. The manager (I think) came to check in - always appreciate that. However, the host situation was so bizarre. We came at opening to get a table and she said there weren't anymore tables inside, but when I went to the bathroom there was one that we could've had. The group behind us got it. I'm guessing they were trying to get some of the outside tables filled or something. That was lame since it was hot af. Then she had us standing in the heat for a while before finally setting the tables outside so we could sit (there is a bar next door you can wait at but it was 11a and a work lunch so that wasn't the vibe we could go for at the time). It would've been nice to be able to sit at the table in the shade at least while waiting, but she shooed us away lol. Then the best part was the sprinklers coming on mid-meal. We moved the whole table over to avoid getting wet. That all said, I loved the food but I think there's some kinks to work out as far as service. I guess when it's this popular though they're doing great regardless . I do suggest getting there at opening. While it was delicious, I don't think it's worth waiting hours for unless you want to chill at the bar ahead of time. read more

SAW TH NETFLIX SPECIAL!! IT IS EVERYTHING YOU WOULD IMAGINE!! My family and I went here recently. First of all, I screwed up our reservation and the hostess was so nice and still found a way for us to get in. So nice. Everything we ate was unbelievable. Let me start this by saying that I was shocked to show up and find out that there would be a 30 min wait for a party of one at 3pm on a Monday. I didn't have time to wait, so I came back at 7pm for dinner. That wait had increased to 45 min (and was ultimately 70 min). I ended up going to Bar Bianco and getting a glass of wine, and then returning when my seat at the bar was ready. They brought out the house made bread and olive oil to start. The oil was good, but the bread had not been warmed at all. They have an oven right there that we can all see, so this is a big offense in my book. I then got the Farmers Market Salad. It was good, but it seemed like something was missing. (Also of note: the salads are meant to be shared, which explains why the salad was so big.) Now the pizza - I got the Rosa and it was delicious! The rosemary flavor really shined, the crust was very light and airy, and all of the flavors worked so well together. I can see why they have been written up in so many articles! And If I were rating this place by the pizza alone, I would've given it five stars. Tip: There's valet parking next to the restaurant, but you can self park in the Heritage Street Garage (about 1-2 blocks away) and they will validate your parking. read more

We had a wonderful visit to Pizzeria Bianco! The staff were so friendly and we even sat next to a couple who had been coming to this spot for 30 years! We had to check it out since it's been named "best pizzeria in the US". It was a small spot with indoor and outdoor seating and the wood-fired oven inside. We came on a weekday for lunch and didn't have a wait. The food came out fast and we started with complimentary bread and olive oil (this, more than the pizza, was actually my favorite part). The bread was so soft and flavorful. The salad was simple with a light dressing and it had really tasty green olives! We ordered the Rosa and the Biancoverde. The Rosa was a bit off for my taste - red onions, pistachios, rosemary, and parmesan were never a combination I thought could work. It was ok but think the fact that it was a parmesan base was too overwhelming of a flavor for me and with the onions, it was even more intense. I found it to be very oily as well, but the crust was really good. All that being said, my friend absolutely loved it! The Biancoverde was better but not the best pizza I've had. The crust was probably the best though! I liked the fresh mozzarella, but again I felt it had a bit too much oil. Maybe we just didn't order the right stuff, since the couple next to us recommended their favorites after we ordered: handmade mozzarella and the Wiseguy with red sauce and sausage. Maybe next time! We stopped by for a drink at the bar and were hoping to get a table afterward, but they don't take reservations and didn't offer to put us on a waitlist or help us transition to a table--even though we were already there, which felt a bit off. Because of that, we ended up not dining here. We had a glass of Pinot Noir at the bar, which wasn't great, but the outdoor seating area was pleasant and helped lift the mood--plus, there were some cats roaming around, which was cute. Overall vibe was a little strange--staff seemed pretty grumpy. Not quite the welcoming atmosphere we expected from such a well-known spot. read more

Pizza is always a pizza! Excellent or disgusting... still the same simple ingredients. This one does shine greater than your typical joint. Simplicity is sometimes over hyped with expectations that are far greater than a nice simple product. I did enjoy the pizza and thought it was amazing with a flavorful crust that had a good bite and structure. The space was really nice and industrial. Very nice space with tall ceilings and simple meaningful decor. The service was kept friendly and simple like the pizza matching the character of the space and food! I'm obsessed! Absolutely worth the hype!!! My coworker and I got to Pizzeria Bianco 10 minutes after opening on a Wednesday afternoon and luckily got one of the last tables. I read online that this location (the original) was always packed and they weren't wrong. We ordered the Margherita and arugula and burrata pizzas as well as the flourless chocolate cake. Everything was amazing - the crust was so thin and crispy, ingredients were fresh, service was wonderful. You can see the chef firing all the pizzas in the oven right in front of you. All of the tables around us were ordering extra pizzas to share, it was amazing. Get here around opening if possible! There is another location in Phoenix that takes reservations but it's fun to go to the original! read more

My husband and I were visiting Phoenix, and decided to visit Pizzeria Bianco after hearing about it on Chef's Table. And while it's not the most amazing pizza I ever had, the pizza was really great! We got the Sonny Boy, which had this fantastic fire-charred crust and good toppings. We probably would've gotten a second pizza, but we weren't quite as hungry. The actual restaurant was incredibly busy, but we were still seated fairly quickly. Additionally, the parking lot for the restaurant is valet parking, which costs about $10. So if you don't want to pay for parking, I recommend finding parking nearby. All in all, very happy to have tried it, and will definitely visit again if I'm in town again! read more

Simple and fresh ingredients makes the pizza's very tasty! Great staff working hard to ensure a great customer experience. This location is very quant but the space works well. We tried this restaurant after seeing it featured on a TV show. The Wiseguy and Biancoverde pizzas were good. The Margherita had a soggy crust and some pieces had no cheese or basil on it. It's worth one visit if you're within a 30-minute drive but I wouldn't wait more than 15 minutes for a table. One thing to note (if management reads these reviews): we ordered three pizzas to share among 5 people and asked if that was enough. Our server said 3 should be okay and we could order another pizza if we were still hungry. After our pizzas were delivered, I asked for a Caprese salad and was told by another server that we are supposed to submit our entire food order at one time. She said she would put in the order as an exception but made me confirm I wouldn't order anymore food. I thought it was an odd rule and was inconsistent with what our other server communicated earlier. read more

If you watched Chefs Table on Netflix, you may be familiar with Chef Chris Bianco who started this one little pizz concept that blew up and expanded into many locations. Previously, folks would come from far and wide to eat his pies. I was visiting, so of course, I had to come check it out. Service- my server was great, but he didnt tell me his name, and it was not on my receipt. He had glasses, buzz cut, cute black guy. Funny and friendly, and chatty, which I enjoyed while I was there solo. I also chatted with what looked like the manager, an older gentleman. He was so personalable. I told him I was from Houston, and we chatted about that a while. I will say both server and manager made me feel very welcomed and relaxed, and that's important to me. Food- I ordered Biancoverde pizza based on the server recommendation and his personal favorite. It includes ricotta and arugula. Looks unassuming, but very tasty. It's basically a personal thin crust pizza. You could easily split or eat one pie yourself. I wanted to try one more pie. Next, I ordered the Wise guy pizza. I loved the smoky mozzarella and onions, lots of sausage, maybe too much? I had a piece and took the rest to go. But best to eat it fresh. You can only order 1 pie as you go. There was a steady flow of repeat customers, family's, conference attendees, college students (its right next to ASU), and solo dinners. Business seems to be doing well! read more

This was my second time visiting the pizzeria. It was pleasant during both visits. The service was great. The pizza was delicious. I love the toasted crust. Both times I ordered the "Sonny Boy" pizza. It is a bit pricey. The pizza size is about a medium, with thin crust and was $26. My glass of wine was $12. I will go back. So this place is very cool! I came here on a Tuesday night and it was very busy! Be prepared to pay $10 for vallet only parking. I had a bit of a wait - they told me 20 minutes but I didn't mind because there is an "old timey" house right next door that houses a full bar that you can wait in and bring you drink when your table is ready. My table was ready in only 5 minutes so I went over to the main restaurant. The place is rustic and has a very good atmosphere. They were packed, but my order was taken in a reasonable time. The have about 4 varieties of salads and sandwiches to choose from, and about 6 different pizzas as well. Order took only 10 minutes to arrive. I ordered the Wiseguy pizza with red sauce and added mushrooms and olives. Un-bee-LEEEV-able! This is exactly what wood fired pizza should be! Crust crunchy and chewy and the ingredients baked perfectly! I tried the rice pudding for dessert. Wonderful! Not too sweet but very tasty and refreshing! The service here is as close to perfect as you can get. Even though the place was packed, I did not feel neglected at all! My only regret is that my wife was not here to experience this with me. This may be the worst $100 I've spent in awhile. Not much flexibility with mediocre pizza. Two pizzas, one glass of wine, one Fanta, a side of bread and a small cup of red sauce for dipping crust was $100. Oh and throw on $10 to valet because there is no other option. To say I was Whelmed may be an exaggeration. Likely closer to underwhelmed. Avoid and go the extra half mile to Il Bosco. read more

As seen on Netflix, I had to pay a visit to Pizzeria Bianco while in town. Luckily we were able to snag a table pretty easily while here and had such a great experience. I came here with a foodie colleague and while I'm pretty easy to please, my friend is a bit harder to impress. Well, we both leave here super happy, and we even saw Chris Bianco himself while dining here! We were too shy to say hi but it was still such a cool addition to our time. The pizzas were divine and you could see them as they baked in the brick oven on site. A pretty intimate setting, this spot is great for lunch and dinner alike. There's a good amount of seating and it gets pretty cozy inside. We ordered the Margherita and the Rosa with the Rosa being a personal favorite. We also got a salad, which was super fresh, and I got to try orange wine for the first time! If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely be back for even just the Rosa pizza alone! read more

Went on a Thursday night. Valet parking may not be mandatory but considering that I had a baby with me, had to. It was $10 plus tip. It was chilly out. I was told the wait would be an hour. They have a building next door that has a bar. Ordered a drink and a bread plate. Sat in there until I was texted. It really did take an hour. Now for the main event. The restaurant is very small. We ordered the antipasto and Wiseguy pizza with added mushrooms. It's all wood fired and tasted good. Obviously they use high quality ingredients. It came out fairly fast. Was it the best pizza that I've ever had...no, but I would go back minus the baby. I need to share that I had an old gift card. It originally had $50 on it, but they told me that there was a zero balance. Not sure if it was due to them subtracting each year or if the card number got hacked. I know they switched to a different type of gift card that has a CVV number. I think this is a great place for a date night. The atmosphere is chill and it has a rustic charm. read more

I had been looking forward to trying Pizzeria Bianco for quite some time, and unfortunately was very disappointed. I do not think this pizza lived up to all the hype and was not worth waiting an hour for a seat. We ordered the Wiseguy, and I really just didn't think it had a lot of flavor--there was no extra salt, spice, cheesey flavor or perhaps anything sweet with the onions, that really felt unique, different or particularly tasty. Furthermore, the pizza crust was a little burnt on the bottom/edge and I personally am not a fan of such thin pizza that it just flops and falls apart in the middle. The restaurant itself was rustic, cute and intimate, and at least the Bar Bianco had board games for us to kill the wait time. I did think it was interesting that we weren't allowed to order again; my boyfriend and I were planning to share, but we were told one pizza is recommended per person and that we wouldn't be able to put in an order a second time. He ended up not liking this pizza at all and just didn't eat the rest. I understand the business is trying to turn tables, but the pizzas really don't take that long. read more

Arguably the best pizza in the United States. Farmed from local ingredients and cooked in a wood fired oven. This local pizzeria with a New York flare is a must try for a pizza lover. Pizza was solid. I liked the Buenoverde slightly better than the Margarita. Service was good once we got seated. I was disappointed with the host. We got there 45 minutes before close with the intent of getting in and out. We were told 20 minute wait. After 15 minutes and watching several groups leave but no phone update I finally walked over. I got the impression he forgot us as there were 5 available tables as we were seated. We did in fact finish right at 9:00. read more

As a proud Brooklynite who cut my teeth in the pizza mecca of Brooklyn, I enter any pizzeria outside the five boroughs with a healthy dose of side-eye. But during my visit to Phoenix, the legendary Pizzeria Bianco utterly wowed my hardened NYC pizza sensibilities. While the Margherita oozed simple perfection with smoked mozzarella blanketed in sweet tomato sauce, the Rosa pie reached divine heights few pizzas dare tread. A blend of flavors and textures, the Rosa seduced me in ways no pizza has. Chopped pistachios lent crunchy bursts of nuttiness across the wood fired crust, complementing slivers of red onion adding an aromatic allium zing. The rosemary paired elegantly with shards of savory parmesan and this pizza has haunted my tastebuds and dreams ever since. While the farmer's market salad and wine list deserve due praise, its the legendary pies you're there for. My mom, son, and I came in at about 2:30 pm. There was no line. No one came in after us. We asked how many people a pizza would serve. She said 1-2. I asked if we could get one pizza, and if we wanted more, could we order another one. She said no. This is our reason for the one star review. I understand if it was in the middle of lunch or dinner because it takes time to bake a pizza. When we were done with the first pizza, I asked another server if it's their policy that we could not order another pizza if we wanted more. He said because it's not busy we can order another pizza. That's why we left no tip. It's the first time in my life I left nothing. Sell more pizzas, get a bigger tip. I get it. However, not at the expense of a customer's experience. We are driving to another state and we can't take leftovers with us. A whole pizza in the trash. $25 wasted. read more

Came for lunch on a Monday at 11am. Located in the historical district so plan for parking. There is a valet service in front of the restaurant fyi. A cozy brick building with seating inside and out. It was rather busy, but we were seated right away. Concise specialty menu. Don't think I've ever had anything I didn't love here. Started off with the Spiedini and their complimentary bread and olive oil. Yum...loved every bite. For the main pie, we went with the Wiseguy with ricotta added on. Pizza perfection! Let me preface a few things just so we're clear as to where I'm coming from. 1. I'm from Chicago, so deep dish is where it's at, though that doesn't mean I lack the ability to appreciate a good slice when I have one, no matter the style. But pizza is pizza, and good pizza is easy to recognize. 2. This place is so hyped-up, it's difficult not to expect some very delicious food, so as you can tell by my rating, it did not meet expectations. 3. I do enjoy hatin' on things, but in reviews, I try to keep a relatively civil and open mind and give the benefit of the doubt where I can. That said, let's begin... I can only think of one word to describe Pizzeria Bianco (obvious as it may be): Overrated. I'm pretty sure the popularity of this place lies in its' exclusivity. A sense of snobbery, but its' accessible to the average Joe with 3+ hours to kill. We arrived one evening a month so back. It was a bit of a going-away party with my fiance and I, and two of our closest friends. We knew the place was popular, so were prepared to wait. After putting our names in (if I recall, it was around 6 or so when we did such), and told of our three-hour-tour of a wait, we decided to head next door. I was told the "bar" next door was owned by the same folks, so we thought why not make it a Bianco-evening. Upon entrance to the "bar," which is basically the waiting area for patient patrons, we discovered that this place was also full to the brim. Also, I should note that I keep using quotes around the word bar because they only had a few beers on tap, and a wine list. Neither of those things strikes a fancy with me, though as a self proclaimed alcoholic, I'll drink what's available. The issue though, was still that the place was packed. After some deliberation, and a great backup plan from my fiance, we actually decided to go across the way to the British pub (Rose and Crown I believe; awesome place too, but that's a different review). After several rounds of drinks and pool, we figured our three-hour wait was about up (it was actually a little over even). We moseyed our way back over to Bianco, and proceeded to wait another half hour or so. Finally, around 9:30 or so, we were inside and seated, fortunately enough, in my own seat and not the next patron's lap. This place is tiny (remember, exclusivity). A quarter of the restaurant is the "kitchen" with the brick oven for the pizzas. Great! We can watch our pizzas come out of the oven; finally some promise... Speaking of the food, we ordered an appetizer of prosciutto wrapped asparagus with mozzarella cheese. I hate to spoil the review early (if you can call this early), but this was the highlight of the meal, and to be honest, what doesn't taste good wrapped in prosciutto (or bacon). A bottle of wine for the table, and four ordered pizzas later, we were ready for the main-course. If you're still reading, then you know this is all down hill. Thin crust? I knew that was coming, and I'm fine with it. Surprisingly small, I think we managed to fit all four pizzas on our table without space concerns, so I'm thinking these were probably 12" or so (14" maybe?). I'm a carnivore, so I required that the pizzas we ordered contained meat, which 3 of the 4 did. Don't get me wrong, I like veggies too, but they're only part of a well rounded meal. We ordered: The Rosa, The Wiseguy, The Sonny Boy and The Biancoverde. Now I'm going to say that if you hand-cook each of your pizzas (as I was told the owner does), I would think you could manage to not send them out black on the bottom, especially after thousands of practices prior to these four. Maybe I'm not hip to how they do it in Italy, but I'm not a fan of carbon-flavored pizza crust, which all of our pizzas were. As for the top-side of the pies, they were lacking in the flavor department. Now I don't want to sit here and slam the place outright, so I will give them this: These were some of the freshest ingredients I've seen in a restaurant, which was very nice. The caveat though is that you need to support these star ingredients (fresh cheeses and veggies and meats) with some good spices, or at least aromas, both of which were M.I.A. I can appreciate a minimalist approach, but this was bare-bones ingredient-listing. Bianco is definitely not worth the time or the effort. In all actuality, you could take a pizza-cooking class, swing by the store on your way home, pick up some fresh ingredients, and cook the thing yourself (and add your own flavors to boot) in the same amount of time you would wait, sit down, eat and leave. I would have at least thought that being relatively hammered, everything would have tasted good, but alas, that wasn't the case. Save yourself the hassle, get bombed and cook your own pizza; at least you'll have a more-fun 3+ hours. read more

On Wednesday June 3rd I went to Pizzeria Bianco with my friend Debbie. We heard it's a popular place, and that one should come early. We arrived 4:50 PM and the place was to open at 5 PM. Around 5:15 PM, I was told by hostess "Megan" that our table should be ready between 7 PM to 7:30 PM. She also stated we should come back in an hour to acknowledge we are still in the area. I offered to give her my cell number, but she declined. It was around 102 degrees outside, and there are no misters outside of the restaurant. They are also MANY flies on the tables outside. Debbie and I stopped at the Irish Pub across from the Pizzeria, and went back to hostess Megan at 6:15 PM. Megan again stated that our table WON'T be ready till 7 PM to 7:30 PM, but to be in the immediate area for the next 45 minutes. (IE: Hot/Flies) Since it uncomfortable to stay in the immediate area, we went back to the Irish Pub, and stopped by at 6:55 PM to ask Megan again. Megan stated: "We called your name several minutes ago, and you were not here." Also, that we lost our turn in line, and "will be placed at the end of the list" (to wait another two hours for the next table!). I told her our situation, but... it was the end of the conversation for her. She no longer made eye contact, nor addressed my concerns, and began speaking with other people. It was essentially: "Tough luck, and don't bother me." Three other patrons behind us stood up for us and stated: "We would walk out on your behalf, but they don't care over here. Business is good." After one of these patrons asked for Megan's name (she would not tell me) I asked for the business card of the restaurant. Megan suddenly: "allowed us" to "cut in" and found us some uncomfortable bar stools by a passageway. Several minutes later, the other couple that stood up for us, sat near us. I noticed, as did Debbie that this couple sent back a "burnt" pizza. It was given back to the bartender, and given to what I believe is the owner (wearing a white shirt) standing near the oven. This pizza was then given to a woman who was eating with two of her female friends! This party drank perhaps too much alcohol (based on their behavior and drinks in their hands) and did not notice that the pizza was burnt (the crust). My complaint is the behavior of this establishment towards it's costumers, and possible health code violations (flies, and giving pizza to another table after refusal by another party). With nearly a thousand reviews of PIZZERIA BIANCO the polarity between love & hate is amazing. HERE IS THE ONLY REVIEW YOU'LL EVER NEED TO READ. On one side of the aisle, you have the idiot trendoids who love bragging about how long they'll wait in line for restaurants, and how they were eating there before anybody else. They'll gladly report, "THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA EVER, WELL WORTH THE 3 HOUR WAIT!!!!" They also don't mind overpaying to be underfed. These people are easily recognized by their ability to spend $300 on an outfit that makes them look homeless and by their incessant need to always be sporting at least one Apple product. The other camp is the folks who hate this place on a near personal level. They act as insulted by the food or wait time as they would be by a Nazi-sympathizer or a spit in the face. These are people who hate most everything that has proven to be popular with other people, and they hate Pizzeria Bianco, even though there's nothing hatable here. Both groups are generously represented here. Both groups are full of shit. HERE'S THE TRUTH. Best Pizza Ever? Hell no. You'd have to be functionally retarded to call this the "BEST" pizza you've ever eaten. In a lot of books, what is being served here wouldn't even qualify as pizza. An overly simple menu offers only 6 pie choices, 3 of which offer no tomato sauce and 2 offering no cheese. Pizzeria Bianco is really more of a Lavash than a pizza in that the crust is more of a toasted cracker than a pizza crust. This will lead to a soggy mess only minutes after your pie comes out of the oven. Is there any way, honestly, you can call something a pizza when your ingredient menu EXCLUDES PEPPERONI, MEATBALLS (ground beef of any kind), & GREEN PEPPERS. That's right, none of these exists on the premises. BEST PIZZA EVER?!? C'mon Corky, Life Goes On Without Pizzeria Bianco. Worst Pizza Ever? Seriously? You never had a Totino's or a Lil Caesar's $5 crap pie? I truly believe the people who hate Pizzeria Bianco are really just hating on the people stupid enough to proclaim undying love for this place. This pizza(?) is not offensive in the least, even if it isn't really pizza. We actually liked the flavor of our WISE GUY. Again, we questioned whether of not it should even be classified as a pizza, but it was none-the-less tasty. Had I waited 2-3 hours, would I have been pissed off? Yep. Not to the point where I'm pissed off for life at everybody involved with the joint, like they shot my dog. Then again I'm not stupid enough to wait 2-3 hours at a place like this. There's the rub with Pizzeria Bianco....the people who are claiming it to be the "best ever" and "well worth the hours wait" are absolute idiots, full of shit to the point of turning their eyes brown. Those who hate Pizzeria Bianco and it's fans like they contribute to Al Qaeda, have no real basis for their hatred and are way too over-reactive. So judge for yourself. Go down on a Saturday between 11am & noon to avoid the notorious wait times, drink a cold one and have lunch. Pizzeria Bianco, located in Phoenix's Heritage Square, is where Chris Bianco's renowned pizza journey began. This intimate venue offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with a central focus on its pizza oven, which produces some of the finest pizzas outside of Italy. During our recent visit, we arrived around 5:30 PM on a warm and muggy evening and were fortunate to be seated immediately inside the dining room. The menu is concise, concentrating primarily on pizza, which is exactly what you should come here for. We began with the Spiedini Antipasto. The crispy texture and saltiness of the prosciutto di Parma paired beautifully with the velvety smooth melted fontina cheese, making for a delightful starter that set the stage for what was to come--a blend of simplicity and sophistication that showcased the fresh ingredients. We then ordered two pizzas: the Margherita and the Marinara with wood-roasted mushrooms. The dough was thin yet flavorful, offering a pleasing textural contrast between the soft pie and the crispy crust. The Marinara was cheese-less, but you wouldn't notice due to the combination of the buttery smooth dough and rich marinara sauce. Ok, so let me give you a little background here... I love pizza. I mean I really love pizza. It's good. And I have eaten pizza in Phoenix, Chicago, New York City, and Europe....I even tried a mexican pizza at taco bell once, thus putting to test the old adage that there is no bad pizza; only good pizza and great pizza. Now I am very much aware that Pizzeria Bianco has literally been reviewed a thousand times, but I figure I might as well get my two cents in. I first dined at Bianco's in 98 and have been coming back ever since. It's my favorite restaurant. This was also the first time I realized that pizza can truly be more than just pizza and that more often than not the simplest of pizzas are the best.. I remember the first bite I ever took of the Margherita pizza. It was phenomenal. How do three ingredients on some crust taste this good? One bite and it was like a Party in my mouth. Seriously. I'm not joking. It's that good. I can't adequately describe through words how good it is. And that's all I am going to mention about the food, enough has been said already. Many people have heard the nightmare stories of 3 hour waits to be seated for dinner. Well, it's true. Be prepared to wait. However this used to be a bigger issue years ago. Now you have options. Make an evening of it. It's worth it. Get your name down on the waiting list. Go for a stroll around Heritage square. It's beautiful. Really. Especially at night. Bar Bianco and the more recently opened Rose and Crown Bar are also great ways to pass the time while you wait. Hang out. Throw back a few drinks. Have a smoke. Be social. It won't kill you. So my advice to you is stop being a baby about it, and try not only the best pizza joint in this god forsaken city, but one of the best restaurants in Phoenix overall. read more

Exceptional service! This is the best moving company in the Phoenix area. With my job I tend to move almost every year. This time instead of using a big national company, I decided to go with oscar moving Moving and was glad I did. Out of all the movers I've used, these guys are the best. Here's why these movers are the best: 1) They return your calls right away. 2) They give you a quote over the phone and then follow up by email. You don't need to take an afternoon off work to have them walk through your place and look at stuff. 3) You have until 5 p.m. the day before the move to cancel without losing the $125 deposit. Some places never give it back if you change the date so this was amazing. 4) You pay by the hour and after the second hour, you pay in increments of 15 minutes so you never feel like you are getting ripped off. And here's my favorite reason: There are no hidden charges. My pet peeve with some movers is when they charge you a last minute "walking fee" because they had to walk more than 10 ft to your door. oscar moving Moving doesn't do this. Finally, a reliable moving company that doesn't make you feel like you are being ripped off. Plus,o Moving went out of their way to accommodate me with my moving situation. I had booked my move in advance and at the last minute I had to cancel due to problem with the condo I was moving to. Because I cancelled so close, I had expected to have to pay the 2 hour minimum as the guys were already on their way to my home. Steve from oscar Moving was fantastic and . BUT then he called me again later that afternoon saying they were able to book a last minute move during my time slot and he was going to refund all my money. Wow!!! Stopped in for lunch on Sunday. Ordered a Margherita, Sonny Boy and Rosa. Rosa here seemed to be oilier and lacked flavor I recall at Town and Country, but the other two were solid. Beers on tap suck, as always. Uninspired Arizona piss, overpriced at $6.50 a glass. Makes it easy to choose not to drink, though. Service at the bar is always fantastic, but they are super busy with everyone spinning lots of plates right when they open. You'll see the same faces every time you visit over the years, so this must be a solid place to work. Lots of hustle by everyone, and food comes out reasonably quick. This place always satisfies, but I do prefer the T&C location. Much easier access, unless you enjoy navigating downtown, and a bit better product. Beware the douchers here that camp out for over an hour to be at the head of the line. They're pretty territorial, which is hilarious, because we walked around for 20 minutes, came back at 12:01, and ended up with a vastly better table than the guys that waited in the sun for an hour. Always able to walk right in and get a great seat at the bar at Town and Country, and their Rosa is executed better, so we'll head there from now on. read more

First let me say I have been following Chris Bianco since I watched Chef's Table, and knew one day I wanted to try out his pizza. Then my cousin suggested spending a week in Phoenix, AZ to celebrate my 70th birthday and the two came together magically. I had been on a gluten and dairy free diet up to the point I went to Phoenix. The night I went to eat pizza I gave myself a treat. Boy oh boy I was not disappointed. We got the Wiseguy and Margherita. Both were worth the 50 minute wait in the bar next door and another 45 minute wait to receive our pizza. I ate more that night then I have in the last 5-6 months. I am from New York and it reminded me so much of the pizza I had when I was a kid living on Long Island and getting some of the best pizza there or in New York City. Fresh simple ingredients cooked in a blazing hot brick oven. Charred dough on the outside and a thin crust. The best I have had in over 50 years. CAN I GIVE NO STARS?!?! There asses should of paid me for waiting for that over-priced tortilla chip that they are trying to call "pizza". Seriously, DONT GO! Total waste of time...product, price, service, parking SUCKS. $15 for pizza that is appetizer size?! Give me a break. Plus, the hostess to gives attitude while giving false wait times. They obviously do not treat all customers the same as some political wig showed up and they got him in right away (may be how the "list" is composed). If you are stupid enough (like we were) to wait, dont bring your kids. The environment nor seating conditions allow for such. Had Pizza Hut the night before and wish I had it again today. DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE! If you want a real pizza, try Sorrentos (aka Sal's Pizzeria from Do the Right Thing) of Harrisburg,PA. My favorite pizza place ever. Been going here and Town and Country for 15 years now. ALWAYS delivers. Rosa, Sonny Boy and Wiseguy are the stars here. Rosa in particular is my favorite pizza ever. Sounded strange the first time I saw it, but it works incredibly well. Crust is out of this world. Never chewy, always crispy and soft inside. Perfect. Service is always good, but we always snag a seat at the bar. Bar crew is fast, friendly and efficient. Avoid on weekends unless you don't mind waiting, and get there before 1130 to beat the lunch rush during the week! If you're lucky, you might see the man himself there. Very friendly guy, and he has a great crew that consistently makes the best pizza west of New York. Only gripe is their on-tap beers. Always lame AZ stuff. They did have La Cumbre Hefe in cans last time, so I'm hoping they always have a solid offering like that when they rotate. read more

I understand that the ingredients are high-quality, fresh, and made from scratch, but unfortunately, that didn't translate to an exceptional dining experience. The Margherita pizza I ordered was average--nothing that stood out in terms of flavor or texture. The crust, which should be a highlight at a place like this, was heavily burnt, making it more of a distraction than a complement to the toppings. There is nothing gourmet about burnt crust. It is just charred dough. Given the hype, I expected a more refined execution. Normally, I'd consider this a solid four-star spot, but the high prices and required valet parking add unnecessary hassle and expense. For what I got, it simply didn't live up to the legend. Three stars--it was fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return. read more

I was in Phoenix on work at the beginning of the week and had no idea about the reputation of this "restaurant"; it was simply in the neighborhood I was in so I stopped in. I was hungry so I skipped the pizza and started with a radicchio salad that was a sad pile of overly dressed radicchio. The dressing was not good; it was heavy and did nothing to enhance a mouthful of radicchio...byuk! I was quite excited...for a moment, when the $26 dollar "Big Chicken" plate came out. But the room was very dark and what I actually found was under cooked chicken thighs, burnt brussel sprouts and some type of squash that I'm fairly certain they whipped and added sugar....gross gross gross!!! Maybe the pizza is good, but never again will I darken their doorway. The price isn't really a consideration as I wouldn't pay $1 for that "plate." Sad. read more

My love for pizza has grown bigger after having an afternoon light meal with this pizzeria's delectable pizzas. From the toppings of any kind to the crust whether thick or thin, to the creamy sauce, and up to the equally tasty side orders, everything was cooked to perfection. Aside from the delicious pizza, this pizzeria also serve equally delectable appetizers and starters, salads, burgers, french fries, sweetened drinks, and more of its likes. I think the best recipe they add to their delicacies is love. Without the intention of being too exaggerated, I honestly feel that every bite I take, I can taste the passion they give in the pizzas. Not to impress many customers and earn more money but to share their passion for cooking by making people happy with their love-made pizzas. Waited years to come try this place only because every time we tried it was at least an hour wait and when you're downtown with other things to do, the timing is tough. However, we decided to make the trek downtown and have this be our sole purpose for the trip. Now we've been twice in as many months! It really is fantastic! We do a salad and a pizza for the two of us and it's perfect! The crust is so light you don't leave with that stupid forever full feeling. Satisfied, but not sickly stuffed. Cute little place and bonus they have another cute little place next door to serve you cocktails and small bites while you wait...even if it is an hour, it's a pleasant way to pass the time and visit. You can constantly check your place in line by clicking on the link they text you. Highly recommend! read more

For my initial yelp! review I had to shout out my favorite spot in Phoenix, Pizzeria Biance. Pizzeria Bianco may not be perfect, and it's always hard to live up to years of crazy hype, but their pies are incredible, perfect crust every time, simple, and addicting. I think they deserve all the attention they get and then some. I love the wiseguy, perfect amount of smoke without being overpowering. Also, you can never go wrong with the Rosa, probably the only time I've ever seen nuts on a pizza, and it is amazing. It's true there can be a bit of a wait sometimes, but if you don't have some friends you can enjoy that with, there are plenty of fast food options around, otherwise stick it out (it's not as bad as people make it out to be anyway). read more

Let me tell you, the ice cold water that was immediately served after being in the 102°F heat was more than welcomed. I ordered The Burratella. The Burratella is one of the most popular pizzas at POMO Pizzeria, featuring a creamy, indulgent blend of fresh mozzarella, imported burrata, hot soppressata, chili threads, fresh basil, and a signature local organic honey drizzle--all served on a crispy, thin crust without tomato sauce for $21.95 and yes, it's as delicious as it sounds. And because it was the weekend, I had two different espresso martinis: Pistachio Espresso Martini and the Banana Espresso Martini. I really enjoyed the banana espresso martini in particular. To be noted, my friend's drink of the Pomo Lemondrop was insanely good. For those with dietary restrictions, this place is great. They are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free friendly. There's something for everybody.

The mixture of meats including sausage, soppressata, and salame parme was perfect with the right amount of spice. The pasta was al dente which was greatly appreciated and it was a lovely meal all around.
