The return of the brussel sprouts pizza!!!!
    Stefanie W.

I am sooooo happy Pizzology has reopened! We did try to pop in for lunch and unfortunately, they do not open until 4! Dinner service only now. But our server mentioned they're in the works for lunch service... New menu w tbe same classics! My husband said the mussels were the very best, kids finished all their individual pizzas, and my son ate 7 pieces, he's hoping for the title! Lol Welcome back Pizzology! The whole decor has been simplified and elevated but very sleek, and was greeted by many of the staff! Can't wait to return and enjoy the best pizza in Carmel!

We are so happy Pizzology has re-opened! It has been a long wait, but so worth it for our pizza and warm ricotta dip. In the year that they have been closed, we have transitioned to gluten-free, so we did try out their gluten-free crust. Would not recommend. However, for our non-gluten free family members, Pizzology is and always will be a favorite. It is the best wood-fired pizza in town and the warm, salty ricotta dip is so unique. The new store is busy as ever, but well-deserved.

A few years later and I still give this place 5 stars! We got carry out of Margarita and a sausage and pepperoni pizza - they were delicious!! The hosts were helpful and friendly. It took a little longer than the expected time for our carry out to be ready, but it was work the wait. Both pizzas had fantastic flavor and the crusts were fluffy and fresh. All ingredients seemed super high quality. Highly recommend for local brick oven pizza!

Leftover beekeeper, margharita, and a breadstick.

We ordered to go from here after a soccer game at grand park. Margarita pizza, bee keeper pizza, chopped salad, breadsticks. Total was 59.00. The place was super busy. Our order was ready in the time quoted. Food was just ok. We liked the beekeeper pizza with honey the best. Breadsticks were good. Liked having two dipping sauces. Crust seemed a bit burnt. Salad was good, but small. Dressing was great. Overall, it was good but nothing I'd spend 59.00 for again. May be better if you dine in. Seems like a very popular place!

Out of 6 two tried a "house specialty" both were dissatisfied. Two had a bottle of wine and two had normal drinks. Appetizer of meat balls was good. 3 meatballs and sauce with bread. We wish we had ordered meatballs with a side of spaghetti. It would have been better than our dinners. The dishes are unique. They look flat but have a center that makes it look like a lot of food. It isn't. I ordered the clam over pasta. There were 6 cherry stone clams and they were delicious. When I got to the pasta, the bottom of the bowl was filled with olive oil. I could not eat the pasta; the oil was so thick that it actually dripped when I rolled the pasta. My husband ordered some kind of grated cheese and olive oil. It was good at first but as it cooled the cheese had melted and the oil had fallen to the bottom of the bowl. It was nasty. Not mac and cheese, not parm on top of olive oil tossed pasta, I don't know what it was. I thought it should be sent back but he didn't want to do so. Now dessert, here's a whole new story. Spumoni ice cream, rolled in chocolate and frozen. A small container of espresso is poured over it. I ordered a second shot of espresso ($3.75) to finish it off. Next time, this will be my entree. Two drinks, two glasses wine, one appetizer, crappy pasta and wonderful dessert. $200.00 bill with tip. Parking lot is very small, plan ahead. Will we go back again? Maybe for the dessert. I was very disappointed and really had hoped for an outstanding dinner. You may be wiser, but we have had much better. (Not dessert!)

I could have these all night....i barely taste the bourbon but I'm sure it will sneak up on you. The wife had a huge spritz which was enormous. I tried it and it's definitely elderflower forward and she loved it. It took her so long to get through it I had time for a neat pour of buzzards roost. The bartenders were Emma and Steven. One glass and it would be best for a Cabernet or a Zin. Huge glass is not how white wine should be served. Simple fix. After I ordered my food I sat and noticed the bartender running out into the restaurant to assist elsewhere. Why? Finally my food comes and the person delivering it doesn't have silverware or the normal napkin wrapped set of silverware. When I asked the person delivering the food he looked confused and lost. The bartender steps forward and lays a fork on the bar, walks back and looks for a knife. She drops that on the bar and the goes to search for a napkin. What is happening at this point? Finally the person who delivered the food returns with a nicely wrapped silverware napkin ensemble for me. I sat and enjoyed the scallops dish. As I was eating I watched the couple to my left be served food with no napkin wrapped utensils just as I was. So this stuff is simple, small but HUGE. The bartender needs to be on point for silverware and focused on the customers at the bar...in addition to the drinks for customers. The manager shouldn't be schlepping plates to the kitchen. Good servers should either be bringing utensils or the staff gives it to you immediately once they know you're eating. Simple things and so easy to fix. It is however a huge impact to the experience. These are absolutes that when missed changes peoples experiences. Decent good, poor service. Own the experience for your customers.

However, the pasta choices are only rigatoni or spaghetti. From the pictures yes they really do have a pizza oven, which is fantastic The calamari was great, especially because it contained tentacles. However, at this price point, the plate was pathetically filled with barely anything. So they're charging high prices, trying to present themselves as a great place to be, and yet are feeding you less than the competitors out there. Our server was very nice, however did not know what tentacles were. Our server was slightly attentive but slow. The two pasta dishes we ordered were very disappointing. The sauce tasted like they came out of a jar and they were definitely not homemade or made from scratch in any way shape or form. The cheese is as well tasted like they came out of a bag and were not shaved or cut fresh. Unfortunately, I can even do the simple pasta better at home. Further, the alla Norma I was playing a game of trying to find the eggplant. My partner got the Bolognese and you could not find any meat in it whatsoever. It was very disappointing. By the time we left the place was packed, so maybe they are doing something right but frankly from three dishes, this was a huge disappointment and frankly a waste of money There are lots of other Italian places in the fishers and Carmel areas please go there.

It's not much to look at from the outside - in small strip mall off Fall Creek about 2 miles north of 96th, but the inside is both luxe and comfortably cozy. At just 12 tables, you get your table for the night, so there is no rush and your evening can be as long as you want to make it. They also have a gorgeous little side wine room that you can rent for parties of 6-8 for dinner. And there's a little bar area that seats maybe 4-6. We had reservations for 6pm, so there were only 2 or 3 other tables occupied when we got there, but they filled throughout the night (& we left close to 8pm). Our server Shaunda was delightful, and the owner Dan came around and checked on all the tables a few times as well. We were presented with a cous cous amuse bouche, a nice refreshing bite to start the evening. Hubs had an Italian Old Fashioned and I asked our server to pair wine for me, so it was a Decoy Sauv Blanc with our first course - the mussels. We asked for extra crostinis in order to soak up more of the delicious sauce they came in. Next was the beet arugula salad, so good! For entrees, hubs had the pappardelle bolognaise and got an iced T, and I had the short ribs with risotto, paired with a glass of cab franc. Dessert was coffee (americano) for each of us, and we split the tiramisu (see all my pics). We ate and enjoyed everything! Total with tax was right at 200 before gratuity. So this is more of a splurge place for us, (of course would be less without the beverages we did) but we will be back. It is meant to be slow, so you can settle in and enjoy your food, enjoy the company and just be in the moment. We were probably there just over 2 hours for just the two of us. Chef Dan came out many times to chat with us and really made us feel welcome. Telling us different stories, walking us through what we were eating, and just made us feel like we were special. While everything was amazing, a few standout things I would like to mention: The Mussels were amazing, such good flavor so if you are fan, make sure you order them. The caesar salad comes disassembled, and the anchovies are sold separately, (I didn't realize it when I ordered it), we ordered a few desserts and they were all amazing. Can't go wrong there.
