Delicious wood fired pizza with great combos of toppings. We had the Pepperoni and Peppers, Hot Mesa and my favorite - Maple Bacon. They offer gluten free with an option of no crust. Service at the bar is very slow, and the drinks aren't as good; the recipes changed or it's the new bartender. When I got to the bar, it felt messy and disorderly. Ordered a personal pizza and a small kale salad when I got the pizza and I went into my vehicle to leave. I opened the box. It looked like somebody threw small slices of pizza in the box. . Definitely didn't look fresh. I've never seen that before. Although the sauce was tasty the crust was as hard as a rock couldn't even eat it. The salad was OK with the Caesar dressing upon leaving. We had reservations for 3, requesting one high chair. When we got there, instead of a table, we were presented with 3 bar chairs in the corner that weren't even at a table, but some type of counter in a tight corner. What is the point of making a reservation if it's not for a table? Even without a high-chair, the seating would have been tight and uncomfortable (nevermind not conducive to conversation). There was an available table but we were told it was reserved. Left at that point and our toddler was not happy at that point. Had previously inquired about having a catering event (since we live in the area) but no one ever got back to us. Should have realized then that something was awry with this place. read more

Our monthly get together with my 3 other buddies was held here during the week. First time here and was not disappointed. Street parking was easy at 8pm . Members in my party were already in a booth, so no waiting but it seems you will need reservations on the weekend. Waiter was quick, attentive and courteous. Beer suggestions were spot on. Appetizers were as tasty as described. We ordered 4 different ones and all were great. Pizza ! We ordered 4 miny pies and by the looks of the empty plates, no complaints. Be aware if you get in by 8pm, the place closes at 9:30. We were not felt rushed by did see brooms and mops working. COMPLAINT but not enough to knock down a star was the loud music. So loud that many times we had to yell at each other. A little pricey for personal pan pizzas but it is in Locust Valley. Check them out. Will go back with da missus. :-) read more

My new go to for brick oven pizza, perfect for kids. Good prices, & good drinks. Super quick & easy. Definitely call ahead before going because they are always busy, so definitely recommend having a reservation. My go to is the margarita pizza (for the kids), mushroom pizza, & wings. The small size is a good size, haven't tried the large size but the small is definitely filling for 1 or to share. If you're a fan of espresso martinis def try. This place makes the best pizza in the area IMO. It's also priced in a way that makes it OK for take-out, but if you dine in it feels like an upscale pizzeria. I like how the pizza is less oily than most - this gives me a false sense of being healthy. Great ambiance and the staff is super friendly. Small cool place with nice ambience. The staff was so nice and friendly! Very attentive. Let's start with... Pizza is my favorite food group, and I'm picky. This was YUM! We started with the kale Caesar and it was good. Then on to the PERFECT pizza. We had the plain and the mushroom, both 10". The right amount of crisp, the right amount of sauce/cheese ratio and the ingredients were so fresh! Finished with the cookie skillet dessert and that was also WOW. Then called back immediately to request they hold off on my order until they hear from me as my husband and son were delayed . But for me the portion size for the price was way too small. I didn't mind paying a charcuterie board for $17 for one because again the "quality" of the ingredients but $13 for a kale salad that barely feeds one is kinda like ?? The food it self was really good and I love their variety of pizzas that are so different. They are also very busy so you definitely should make a reservation and if you order food after 6pm know that even if they tell you 25-30min it will most likely take about 45-50min. Love this place. As someone from the hospitality industry, I can confidently say that they do it right at Pinons! Whether you are in for a happy hour with your friends to share some small plates like the bacon wrapped dates or the charcuterie plate (with the most delicious honey), or there for a full pizza dinner (the maple bacon pie is my favorite) with the kids, this place does not disappoint. My most recent experience was renting the entire space for a christening brunch on a Saturday at noon. Once again I was beyond happy with the food and the service that the staff provided. The owner (Andrew) was there to make sure that the party was run smoothly to the point that he was expediting all of the food! The two lovely ladies that worked the bar and the floor, Helaina and Lindsey hustled all day. There was never an empty drink or a dirty plate. Thank you pinons! We've been coming/ordering out from pinions since they've opened and I have to commend how delicious the food is and how wonderful the staff is! The owner (whos name escapes me, I'm sorry!) is affable and willing to address and fix any issue one might have (though few and far between). Helena is an oft happy familiar greeting face who checks in regularly (but not too regularly). Tonight, we had reservations for 4:30 and received a thoughtful call at 4pm that the ovens weren't working and would we be okay with coming at 5 as they'd know shortly if the ovens would be functional. Well, lucky for us they were! Despite a packed house and a bit of an understandable wait given the circumstances, the staff and owner continued to deliver top notch service and pizza.
