My absolute favorite coffee shop! My favorite time is the fall/winter because the Butter Rum Latte hits the menu!!

Coffee is coffee, right? It's not hard to find a great cup of coffee in New Orleans but what I love about PJ's is the various locations, the King Cake latte and the BATHROOM! It's so rare to find an establishment that doesn't mind if you use their potty. Granted, it's a shared bathroom down the hall with other businesses and it was out of toilet paper BUT, if you're a New Orleans regular, you already know by now to keep napkins stashed in your purse. It's never too busy, there's always a place to sit and when you've been walking all day, it's the perfect place to gather your wits and work up that second wind. read more

The owner for this franchise was so curteous to stay open a little later just to make us some Granitas because it was so hot outside. My boyfriend and I wanted some energy and to cool off a little in the a/c and he let us in because we were basically trying to break in lol! I just had the worst experience here. I ordered a small skinny vanilla latte with oat milk and a medium red eye. The barista forgot the latter, then made it a small and my latte was a medium. With both drinks incorrect, I thought it smart to taste my latte- and it's not oat milk. With both drinks incorrect, I went back to say something. Not only was the barista rude, but they charged me for the oat milk eventhough I confirmed it twice. I was even told "you ordered it (the skinny vanilla latte) wrong, it comes with skim milk, I made it correctly." He also challenged me to contact his manager which I will. I love small coffee shops and lattes and often get coffee 2-3x per week. Literally never in my life have I been treated so rudely by a coffee shop staff person- and for a mistake they made. Go to French Truck coffee in the quarter instead. We'd gone there the day before and there were no issues. read more

You can never have too many PJs in the French Quarter! This new location is very convenient, situated right across from JAX brewery and just a couple blocks from Jackson Square. This is one of the few places in the quarter that's open early to grab a quick cup of coffee and breakfast before heading out for the day. And it's open until 9PM for the night owls! What makes this PJs especially unique is that they sell Sergio's Breakfast Burritos! Delicious, quick and affordable breakfast (or lunch, or dinner!). Definitely recommend trying those burritos. The store is clean and organized. Pastry case is always stuffed with beautiful muffins, croissants and other goodies. Clean bathroom available to customers. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful to all guests. I highly recommend checking out this PJs location while in the quarter! Excellent place to grab a quick breakfast and coffee or sit down, relax and people watch. read more

This morning, the barista initially ignored me, and when she finally acknowledged me, she acted like she was being forced to work there and gave me an incredible amount of attitude. I have never encountered such a petty, disrespectful barista in my life-- it ruined my day. I am not coming here again or recommending this place to anyone. read more

The worse customer service me and my family got while visiting New Orleans French Quarter in June 2021. Apparently this place closes at 3pm but since we were tourists we didn't know that. We ordered coffee and sat down at the table to enjoy it, when the "manager" or "supervisor" (very young girl) came to our table and told us that if we had everything we needed that we had to go because they closed at 3pm, the exact time she told us that was 2:59pm. Awful service, me and my family will never stop there again and I will tell all my friends not to promote this place. Can not compare the great service at any Starbucks with this place! read more

Woohoo, this coffee did the trick for me! After a long day of exploring the French Quarter, a nice iced latte was just what I needed. My husband ordered a decaf Americano and was pretty happy with his drink as well. The seating and ordering areas were both clean, organized, well stocked, and new looking. Service was super quick and friendly. The only thing keeping PJ's from a 5-star review is that I would have liked the coffee to be quite a bit stronger. It had a great flavor but was in the week side. I'd definitely go back though! read more

I liked their house coffee and I tried a sip of the mocha blend and that we delicious! My parents enjoyed the biscuits that was stuffed with sausage and cheese haha. Walking in NOLA and stopping by at this cute little rustic coffee shop. I ordered praline caramel latte it was very good and flavorful as it sounds. Service was pretty good and quick . I went back to PJ's coffee despite the crying girl that took my order last time because I am not one to ignore a good drink. The store had good diversity and I switched up my order except the girl that took my order last time was working that day too. Although she didn't take my order, I looked in the corner of my eye and I saw that she was crying, albeit a bit loudly. I fear that there may be some mistreatment going on in the coffee shop or that this girl is just emotional. If you do not want to hear a girl crying, then I wouldn't suggest going here on the weekends because even though I had headphones on and I was playing music, I could still hear her sobs. It is so hard to find a decent salad in the French quarter! I enjoy all the Cajun/creole food but every once a while you need a break. I was shocked to find PJs house has the most reasonably priced Cesar salad'. For &8 you get an entire chicken breast, lots of Parmesan cheese shavings, tomatoes and croutons! They had other salads to offer along with sandwiches and wraps and more. Customer service was great as well! Easy to walk in and get your order quickly. This is the local coffee shop chain in New Orleans. I tried the Granita and it was ok, it came out of a slushy type machine and was more icy than coffee. Next time I went to another PJ's, I got the iced mocha and it was really tasty. 2 other friends ordered the same drink however the drinks lacked consistency, my drink was noticeably lighter indicating a lot more milk than everyone else's. Luckily, I usually enjoy more milk in my coffee so the iced mocha was still very delicious. read more

PJ's Coffee was attached to our hotel, the French Market Inn. Since it was conveniently there, we stopped for some coffee before our swamp tour. Staff is friendly, coffee is terrible. Apparently in NOLA a mocha is espresso with chocolate milk. That definitely caught me off guard. The coffee was weak and the drink was watered down. Definitely did not come back the rest of the trip. You're better off getting coffee in one of the local restaurants in the area while having brunch. read more

My friend wanted a coffee and to use the restroom so we ran in here for both. The place was absolutely disgusting. The tables were dirty and sticky and it was dark and dingy. The wait staff was very rude. My friend asked for a bathroom and the barista just pointed toward a door and told my friend to go down there. She was sent down a long, dark hallway with barely any doors. She got to the bathroom but it was locked from the inside with no indication there was anyone in it. We quickly left. PJ's is an awesome local coffee shop. Not too small and not too commercial. Great if you're not a risky coffee shop goer. I had the Southern Wedding Cake Iced Latte - their summer special - 3 days in a row. It is spectacular! They also have a great and tasty array of pastries and breakfast items - all of which we liked! You aren't going to find mainstream coffee shops in NOLA/the French Quarter but PJ's is so good it's a non-issue. The only downside for a local place is the prices are pretty high (similar to Starbucks) which is the only reason for one less star. read more
