A little pricey for what you get. Got the rice dish (No 30) and it came out to $12 bc I asked for some broccoli. The amount of broccoli they gave was real chintzy.

I've lived in Jacksonville on and off since 2004. I've tried mostly all of the pho spots in town but never checked out PK Noodles. I don't really know why, I guess when you find your favorite you stick with it. PK offers banh mi as well as pho and boba... so why not get all three? Ordered the special pho with all of the meats. The broth was very light... but had me going back again and again until it was gone. It didn't taste as artificially enhanced like some other pho spots in town. There are also other spots that include way more meat, but the tendon was my favorite, absolutely melt in your mouth. The banh mi was good. Was it the best I've ever had? No. Was it sufficient and still tasty? Yes. I enjoy the charm of a quaint small restaurant with retro furniture and a lot of communal seating. No frills. Just food. Overall my biggest take away and honest opinion is, if you're looking for a delicious lunch that won't break the bank. This is your spot. Pho, banh mi and boba totaled $20. The portions here are smaller, but for the money, you can't beat it.

Another stop along our journey towards finding our favorite pho spot in Jax. Its a nice spot in town. Has most of the regular vietnamese menu items like the cuon, cha gio, and soups (pho, hu tieu, and bbh), etc. We went for the banh mi, BBh, and Pho bo. Compared to the other places we had tried in town, I'd say it ranks in the middle. Average. Portions were average to on the smaller end, but it meets the price match. The banh mi was good, i enjoyed the bagette more than the grilled pork. The BBH was ok, different that what I am used to. The pho was also decent. Overall, I'd say an average rating for taste for our palates, but we are just two of many hundreds of other pho lovers and customers. Would suggest trying all places in town and just going with your personal favorite! Staff and service was nice, no issues there. Thanks for having us.

I've been coming to this place for ages. BY FAR, this is the best place you can find in town for value. I love ordering their pho. With shrinkflation, you get much less meat, but you still get so many noodles, and their soup has always been on point. I don't like it when soups make me super thirsty after I have my meal, and this place doesn't do that. They actually spend time stewing the bone broth, which is very appreciated! They haven't increased their prices in a while, even though I think they should, and no one would blame them. Truly worth the price. Where else in town can you find 2 meals worth of pho for under $10?! Service here is always fast. I've never had a bad time here. They've always been respectful and attentive. I think my only gripe about this place is that there's no A/C here. So in the summer, if you're crazy like me and order a hot soup, prepare to sweat puddles everywhere. They have a couple of fans on the ceiling which moves the air around, but it does get hot in the summer. So try to do takeout in the summer, haha. My friends also really likes the bahn mi here. I'll admit, it's a lighter flavor than other places. The meat is nicely charred and the bread is soft, not really crunchy, so that's a preference. The carrot/radish mix is less pickled than some other places, but they are very generous with their portions. A sandwich is less than $5!! I'm as huge of a fan of this place as the fans on their ceilings. Definitely cheap and a worthwhile spot!

Food here is always fresh and hot! The service is always timely. The atmosphere... well let's just say, go there for the food and service only! Definitely one of our favorite spots to dine in Jax especially on rainy days like today.

Honestly the food was really good. And I feel like this has been the best ramen I've had in…read moreJacksonville. The chicken karaage was probably my favorite of the night. It was super crispy, but the meat was still so juicy. And the sweet and creamy sauces just finished the perfect bite. The ramens were pretty solid too. The matcha broth was super creamy and light. And the tonkotsu was so flavorful, with really tender chashu and a perfectly soft boiled egg. Plus the noodles were a really good texture. The restaurant itself is really cute too. They also have a convenience store type of ramen station in the front, which I really want to try. As well as a little arcade game that you can play in the front while you wait to be seated. However, I was really not a fan of the service. It's nothing really against the servers because they were super nice, but they just seemed so frazzled. We arrived around an hour before closing, but it took forever for us to be seated, despite seeing a few empty tables around. By the time we were seated, we were told kitchen would be closing in two minutes, so we had to hurry and put in our orders. All of that was fine and I didn't mind. But what I did mind was that our waitress checked our order twice when we first have it. And she came back to our table within the next five minutes to check our orders again for a third time to make sure she had down what we wanted. I wanted the matcha ramen and was most looking forward to having some chashu and egg. So she confirmed my order three times that I wanted matcha ramen. But when it came out, she gave me the vegetable bowl. I knew the kitchen had closed at that point, so I just ate it, but I was really disappointed. (I did get to try a bite of my friends egg and chashu, which also didn't really help because it was so good and made me wish mine came with those even more.) When we were finished eating, it took forever for the checks to come out. This I also didn't mind that much, because the servers, again, looked really frazzled trying to close up. But at this point we had waited until well after their closing time, so part of me was hoping they could just close us out first and then finish closing down the place. I think we waited at least half an hour from when we first asked for the check (at which point we had already been waiting a while) to when we finally got our cards back. I did see they charged me for the vegetable version of the matcha ramen so it was whatever, but then also I was confused - so it wasn't a mix up in the kitchen, she rang it up as the vegetable one from the beginning! Even though I never mentioned it and she never said vegetable when confirming my order. It was a dollar less to get tofu instead of an egg and chashu which doesn't seem worth it. Writing this all out, I'm sorry to rant, because the food really was good. And looking at other reviews, it looks like the service is usually pretty good. But again, it was just disappointing. That being said, I am really hoping it was a one off thing because I would go again and try some other menu items too.

I just had a late lunch in MODU Ramen yesterday and I was thoroughly impressed…read more The first thing was the Service... the waitress was welcoming and attentive throughout the meal. She was patient as my wife and I and a few friends reviewed the large menu with her, and followed up throughout our meal. The second was the food We started with sharing an appetizer of garlic soy fried chicken wings and dumplings...very tasty Then I had Tonkotsu Ramen and my wife had tempura udon... both were large servings, with home made noodles and a favorable pork broth with fresh vegetables. Mine had a 3 pieces of a thick cut pork and egg in the broth what was really surprising was when the dessert came... I think it was called mango Bing Soo... What it is, is a huge bowl of shaved ice with Mango and cream. It was delicious... and perfect for after the main dish we ordered... and I would go there just to get that dessert alone.... I don't normally take my time to recommend a place but I recommend this one as a find .. highly

Since it was a hot day and I placed our to go order as a walk-in, I decided to enjoy a Poppi while I waited. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. There are two 4-top tables so it's mostly a takeaway spot. The General Tso's chicken was delicious but I was even more impressed by the fried rice. It wasn't the yellow rice that a lot of spots serve - it was actually fried and had great flavor. My mom enjoyed her pepper steak combo with egg roll & her husband raved about the hot and sour soup.

Okay, let me start off by saying this, Crazy Chopsticks actually has brown fried rice! Most of you…read morewho remember Chinese food from the 80s and 90s don't need me to say anything else because if you know then you know! Now here is a review for everyone else. I called ahead of placing my phone order because my order was a fairly large pickup order. The guy that answered the phone was so so nice (you know who you are... in one of the photos), lol. He wasn't in a hurry to get me off the phone and actually seemed happy that I called with questions. He answered all of my questions and even gave me some menu item suggestions. Here are a few tips, for parties or large families the restaurant offers party tray sizes. Also if you call early for large orders and let restaurant know when (what time) you need to pickup the party order they will try to have your order ready for you. They will also add bean sprouts and egg to you fried rice if you ask (do yourself a favor ASK!). Okay let's talk about the food. Let's just say Crazy Chopsticks had me when I read another post claiming that Crazy Chopsticks served good ole back in the day brown fried rice. If you really want to jump back in a Time Machine request the addition of bean sprouts and eggs to your fried rice order. Ohhhh, it was excellent! See photos! My order included a few types of fried rice chicken, shrimp and house fried rice. Flavor wise they were great especially with the bean sprouts and egg additions. The only thing I noticed was that there were smaller pieces of chicken in the chicken fried rice and not larger sizes of chicken like those in the chicken and broccoli dishes. Also the size of the shrimp are smaller for the rice and Lo-mein compared to the larger shrimp found in the other dishes like shrimp and broccoli for instance. If someone from Crazy Chopsticks reads this review consider adding green onions, bean and egg to you fried rice! Everyone should experience the retro classic fried rice! The Lo-mein was excellent also. The Lo-mein and fried rice both had that kiss of a sizzling iron wok taste. It's a special char taste. It's that special flavor like the difference between a burger cooked on a griddle and a burger that cooked on charcoal grill. They are both great but one really says Summer is here! The egg rolls and dumplings were amazing. The dumplings were perfectly cooked, the filling wasn't dry and it was well seasoned. The sauce had great flavor tangy and slightly sweet at the same time. The egg rolls were nice and crunchy and Crazy Chopsticks carries the duck sauce that has apricots in it! So extra bonus points for that. I'd love a vegetable egg roll option though (one with the wonton wrapper that is) I'm not sure if they offer one though as this also seems to be one of those phantom things from the 90s! Let's talk main dishes. The chicken and broccoli was excellent. The brown sauce is the classic salty/ umami sauce not the sweet brown sauce. The chicken was very tender and the broccoli was fresh and still had the right amount of crunchiness. The same goes for the shrimp and broccoli. The shrimp were large, fresh and clean. The shrimp egg fu yung and the vegetable egg fu yung dishes were perfectly cooked. As you can see in the photos the container had a bit of extra oil but placing the patties on paper towels before plating them helped with that. The shrimps were fresh and clean. The vegetable egg fu yung included carrots, broccoli, onions, mushrooms and I believe zucchini. The dish was chocked full of vegetables. The gravy had good flavor, it wasn't the sweet type of gravy. The gravy was pretty oily on top though. Once I removed the extra oil the gravy was great. The sweet and sour chicken was good also. Not overly battered like some places serve with mostly batter and barely any chicken, you know what I'm talking about. No, these had a great balance just enough batter for a crispy outside and nice juicy tender pieces of chicken on the inside. The sweet and sour sauce was unique not your typical sauce, there was a little something different in it that made it a step above most Chinese takeaways. Give it a try to see what I mean! The sesame chicken was delightful. The sauce on the sesame chicken was really good! The chicken was tender and juicy and the breading was just right not overly breaded or so hard that the chicken sounds like rocks hitting your plate. Anyone that enjoys sesame chicken will like this one. Then there's the garlic Fried Chicken wings. I believe this was their #1 seller for fried chicken. I ordered one order with sauce and one order with sauce on the side. The order with sauce was good, nice and flavorful. The chicken wings that had the sauce on the side were slightly overcooked. It's was probably just a one off situation so I wouldn't allow this to stop you from trying the wings sauce less. Let's not forget the sugar biscuits they had ju

Well our small UYE group got together on this evening to check out Ten Seconds Rice Noodle & Ramen…read more Jimmy, Lea, Goldie and I have found some real gems at times, but I think we like most to share some time and fellowship with each other. I rate it as a pretty good Asian restaurant with some minor flaws that can be easily fixed. BUT! I'll say up front that I didn't find any flaws with my meal and chosen beverage! Yes, I would certainly eat or do takeout here again! The good here, were the meals. The ramen, hibachi, and the dish that Lea ordered were sizable, filled with good meats and veggies - not just a rice or noodle stuffing. My hibachi with shrimp was cooked superbly! There was a nice orange sauce on the grilled shrimp and it was seared perfectly. I was a happy man. But it also came with fried rice (you can choose plan white rice too) and mixed veggies. It was a full meal indeed! Had to take some of it home. Jimmy also had the hibachi meal with chicken. He conquered his full meal - I don't know how! Goldie had one of the Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen bowls with chicken. It was filled with meats, vegetables and other items that she enjoyed for her evening meal. Given we ate on a Monday, it was pretty slow here - but there were a good number of carryout pickups too. My only real negatives was that the service was slow. It took quite a while to get my meal to me our server said it was because the carryout orders slowed things down inside. They had one server working on this evening and she was gracious and took pretty good care of us. The one other item we talked to each other about as far as this shop is concerned was the lack of air conditioning. It wasn't hot, but it was pretty warm inside. Yes, it was a very hot day and this restaurant has a large space to cool. So I can understand the need to conserve, but others may not. All in all we had a nice, relaxed evening with lots of jokes and smiles! This was a great place to meet up and I certainly would visit again! Recommend: HIGH
