Honestly have not found my favorite pho place in Jacksonville until this afternoon. I ordered to go and live only 5 minutes away and the food was already ready when I arrived. Not only that but it was SO affordable. $8 Bun bo Hue and $4 boba is practically unheard of nowadays so I was skeptical at first but it is the best I've had because of how flavorful the broth and meat are! The broth I get is a plain base broth and you can add herbs and bean sprouts to it at your liking! The egg rolls are fried fresh and are so tasty. This place was my first experience with Vietnamese cuisine and let's just say it was a great first impression. The inside reminds me of those restaurants or stalls you see on Travel Channel with Anthony Bourdain. The lighting and decor just gives it this atmosphere that feels the part. If you're unfamiliar with Vietnamese spring rolls or rice paper wraps then you may be surprised by the plastic appearance or the chewy texture. However! Inside is a flavor bomb that will not disappoint! Plus the dipping sauce is delicious so it just gets better. Now, I no longer come here as I found a much closer Vietnamese place and better quality meat (the reason PK Noodles gets 4/5) but if I'm ever back in the area then I'd definitely drop by for my go-to meal; the short ribs! Amazing flavor and love the fish sauce dipping sauce. Just a shame how chewy it can be. I'd recommend trying if you're already near by, but not somewhere to go out of your way to try. read more

I'm not usually in this part of town, but hubby and I found ourselves off Kernan one Saturday evening, later than we would typically eat dinner, around 7:30 pm. I desperately needed to eat, and I began looking on Yelp for a good place nearby. Enter PK Noodles. We went in and were promptly greeted, and quickly ordered - I can't go to a Vietnamese restaurant and order anything but pho, and beef is always what I get the first time. Food came out quickly... and wow! Truly the best pho ever! Either that, or I was just starving... maybe both! The toppings provided were generous, but the broth made the meal. PK noodles has been around for a while. I'd say that the vibe is really chill here. It's not fancy, but it's more like a homey feel. You go in, order your food and then go. At times I even find myself putting my feet up the chair but then you realize you're in a restaurant. Pho here is legit, I would say that it may not be the best Pho in Jax, but it really is good. I always get the PK special and I'm always satisfied when I leave. Their customer service is amazing. They are very respectful when serving guests but please do yourself a favor and don't come in 20 minutes before they close because they will rush you while you're eating. Unless, of course, you're just dying to have Pho. LOL If you try this place and it's your first time to eat pho, make sure to take your time and ease into it. It is very intense flavor that's very unique. Citrusy, spicy, minty, there's a lot of different herbs and spices involved that once you start liking it, you would start craving for. I visited PK Noodles today with my husband. Very good Pho soup. We had the Shrimp Egg Rolls which were very good. We also tried the PK Special soup minus the tripe. Not a fan of Tripe. We upgraded to the Large portion for $2 extra. My only complaint was that the broth was not very hot. I like my soup steaming. I was very tasty and to loved the sprouts and basil toppings. I've got a new favorite pho place people. This little gem on Beach Blvd. might be Chinese owned (by incredibly sweet staff)- but they are pumping out some righteous soups that demand to be tasted. Yes the pho is great- broth is light, meat is plentiful, they'll throw in veggies if you want, even the tripe is good. Porkchops are generous and tasty, they'll even do it up in a fresh roll if you roll like that. One critique would be that they could up their baguette game a smidge but I don't know what the local supply chain is like. But I digress. Because there's another bowl you must get. You know you're getting sick when you start to crave soup. I had a pho craving the entire day yesterday. Sadly, both Pho joints near my house were closed on Mondays. Luckily, they were open today, so I headed directly there right after work. I ordered the basic Pho Nam, which is basically meat, rice noodles, cilantro, bean sprouts, and basil leaves in a warm broth. I got it to-go (they pack the dry ingredients separate from the broth), so I omitted the bean sprouts and added a touch of the hot sauce that they pack with it. The meat was well done skirt flat beef (very lean I should add). They have other types of Pho here, too, like the one with the tripe, or beef balls, or rare meat. All in all, the soup had very fresh ingredients like last time, but this time it was a dish I really enjoy. Hooray! The chicken eggrolls were delicious and filling like last time. Lightly crispy on the outside, warm and meaty on the inside. The boba tea is a funky orange color, but it's very creamy. Just has a bit too much ice in it. As for other boba flavors? Sorry, this is not Boba Blends or Lollicup. You get only the basic boba flavor with the basic tapioca pearls. None of those fancy flavor options here. With full tummy and warm insides, I feel a lot better now! read more

My husband discovered this place first when he was sick and craving soup. I suggested he try pho (since he had never had it before) and this was his destination of choice. I then took him to a different pho place and he said to me that "his" place was better. So the next time I was sick and craving pho we went to PK Noodles. I have to agree with him that this place is better than the pho place I used to go to. And while I've only tried a couple different pho places this has become my favorite. I of course can't pronounce anything on the menu (thank god for descriptions) and I always order by number. Last night I branched out from pho and had # 36 which was delicious and my husband branched out as well and had # 37a. This is my brother's favorite place and I can see why. He has the Bahn Mi sandwich weekly. It looks delicious. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and bountiful. I opted for the shrimp/pork spring roll appetizer (#3) because these are the best spring rolls I've ever had for the same reason as the bahn mi. Can't go wrong with fresh and bountiful. The interior is basic and functional but you're there for the food anyway and not the ambiance. There were plenty of Vietnamese patrons there for lunch which is always a good sign when an ethnic restaurant is supported by their ethnicity. I should try something different next time so I can base my review on more than one appetizer and a Taro Boba Tea (which was rich & sweet). Until that time though, four stars based on the fact that my brother is a frequent visitor and the yummy spring rolls which put a definite spring in my step after eating all four for lunch. read more

Went here the other day for lunch. This place is close to FCCJ South Campus. Anyhow, I had spicy soup, can't remember the name, something like Bun Bo Hui. I've had that dish before at other places and it just didn't measure up here. Broth was kinda thin, not spicy. Also tried the "Bun" noodles with grilled pork and egg roll. It was good but nothing to write home about. The place is clean, staff is fine, but I just can't bring myself to call this place anything other then OK. Its the only pho place around as far as I know, maybe it would improve if there was some competition. Amendment I: Went here a couple times since first review because it is so close to FCCJ South Campus. Anyhow I've noticed a pattern of overcooked noodles in the pho. Kinda mushy if you know what I mean. Weird thing is for a pho place I don't consider the pho here when ordering. read more

Oh my gosh!! I love this place. It so authentic!!! I walked in there shocked on how packed it was even at 2pm! Our sever was amazing! He really helped guide my confused little self. I went with his recommendation and I was so happy I did (see photos!!) I loved the boba tea too in the taro flavor. Not too sweet it was perfect. I can definitely see myself ordering from this place if I have a cold, or it's a chilly day out, and I think it's my new hang over cure! But really I can eat it when ever. If your a fan of pho and Vietnamese food, you should go to PK Noodles! With a multi page menu there's a pho for all! Or something you will love, from delicious banh mi sandwiches with crispy fresh veggies carrots, jalapeños, and cilantro to heaping bowls of flavorful broth and thinly sliced meat with the ever important side plate of sprouts, and various leafy herbs like thai basil and jalapeño slices to complete your pho as you desire, don't you love that! Have it your way! There are also large sections of menu offering Bun which are grilled meats with veggies served over noodles or rice? I'm stuck on the Pho so i can't personally review those, but have seen others diners order it and it looks delicious. Which brings me to another thing about PK Noodles, it's a large restaurant with booths surrounding the exterior of the room and long tables in the center, most of time I get a booth, but when it's crowded the center tables are communal and you get to meet others with a mutual love of pho, or at least your close enough to check out their orders and how they embellish their pho. On each table is a large "lazy susan" container with Vietnamese condiments like hoisin sauce, sambal oelek which is a garlicy chili sauce, and sriracha hot chili sauce, Yes please! I personally use some of all, heavy to light squeeze of each in the order I've listed them, tip if you've never had sriracha I recommend you taste a tiny bit first, it's hot! Yikes I almost forgot the appetizers, they have fresh spring rolls and fried shrimp rolls that are great too! This restaurant is bright and clean and I highly recommend it! read more

PK Noodles? Pretty Kickin is what I would say! Tasteful broth flows right into your mouth with every spoon full. Lucious greens mixed with the amazing proteins in this tasty soup. Host was great. We had a few great laughs together. He even brought me fresh new water when I ran low on my liquids. The bubble tea was sublime and I can't see it being matched by many.
