This is the best location I've ever been to. I was concerned about this one due to the area not known to be BIPOC friendly. But I met awesome lady there and she said she's had very few issues. Customer service is usually good. But when a machine breaks it takes FOREVER to get fixed. I wish they got fixed as fast as they are to charge late fees because they suuuure are quick on that!! Theres at least 4 machines right now that are broken at this location. Also a flashing mirror in the girls locker that has yet to be fixed been broken since the end of 2025. As well as the hand dryer in the lockers. But at least they're getting their fees covered right!? read more

I enjoy going here, everyone that works out here is doing their own thing and minding their own business which I appreciate. There are always plenty of machines to choose from, and everything is clean. Most members do also clean machines after use which I'm surprised by. I don't use my black card spa perks as much as I should but the price is still reasonable and I like having the option. The storage lockers in the main fitness area is also really convenient. The staff are great here too, seem very friendly. Parking isn't difficult to find since there is a big lot in the surrounding area. read more

Joey, the worker there is a complete jerk. I went online to get a new membership which was $63. I ended up calling to see if maybe I was doing it wrong because I wanted that one dollar promotion. I ended up calling Covington and I spoke to Joey. he told me to come right in didn't ask me what type of membership, but he said that he would give me that deal. I just came in and he was completely rude and told me he didn't say that, and he kept making snarky comments on my way out mind you I went back to him and I said you know what I'm not even giving you an attitude so there is absolutely no reason to keep making snarky comments on my way out and he just gave me a thumbs up, and he kept making snarky comments very very unprofessional. This is my first time back at this gym in a few months and uh, management has really fallen off a cliff. Tons of broken equipment. Standing in one spot I can see 5 broken machines (they were all broken last time I was here). And this is a SMALL gym already. If you're coming during peak hours be prepared to WAIT. Three stars, only because I do love the staff and the gym. Except for the fact that they never have seat covers in the restrooms and Id rather not sit my bare butt cheeks on a naked toilet seat, that someone just sweat all over. But sometimes I have no other choice.....every time I do it a part of my soul cries and then I have to dissociate from the experience altogether. They have little sanitizer cartridges next to the toilet for us to to wipe the seats with but they are always empty. Save our booty cheeks !!!! read more

I am just a wee lad from Norway and I started coming here so I can catch the green pig and choose my wife.

Went in to downgrade my membership as I wasn't using it often and didn't need the Black Card perks. I was told that only the General Manager can do this and they didn't work weekends. This was on a Saturday afternoon. I was also told they only do this on the 1st through 10th of the month so I only have Monday left. So much for customer service. I assume this is set up to make it difficult to reduce your membership. I have no interest in doing business with people who make my life difficult. Instead of downgrading now I intend to just cancel. *Edit * Just called to cancel and was told anyone at the desk can help me with that so the guy on Saturday was a lying POS. They are requiring I come in in person though which is even more irritating. read more

New PF in Covington. It's nice, got all the new machines. The staff has been friendly, and everything is kept very clean. It's not too busy, at least in the morning when I go. It's small but the machines are organized logically and it feels organized and not cramped. A lot of the new equipment is also an upgrade from other planet fitnesses, like the smith machines, the tools for the cables, and the benches. Just a couple of cons. The "inside" cables are on double pulley systems so 50lbs is really 25lbs, and I'm not really sure why. Additionally, there are no "add on weights" for the cables. The smith machines are also inconsistent with other gyms in that they face the other way, which I actually have discovered I like, but is different. Lastly, the music has been really loud the past few mornings, such that I can hear it over my headphones at max volume. It's been good music, but still. read more

They instituted a new policy where they require a credit card on file as well as your bank account information! I provided my bank account when I joined, but now having to also add my credit card information is highly unusual and a very shady business practice. I can't think of another company which requires information from two accounts. This is obviously a privacy and identity theft concern. This policy is not on the corporate website (only bank info is required) so I am wondering what exactly they are doing with this information? Because I wouldn't comply, they said they would refuse to let me enter. Therefore they gave me no choice but to cancel my membership. Please do not do business with this unethical franchise. They also reduced their hours where they now close at 7pm on weekends. This is when I usually went to the gym. read more

Pretty upset about the change in hours. 10pm on weekdays is super early. Weekends I can understand but people have jobs that is hard to manage with the early closing hours esp when this location used to be 24 hours weekdays. On top of that, the employees turning off all the tvs 10-15 min early and playing around with the lights when the place isn't closed yet is very unprofessional. If staffing is an issues maybe this location shouldn't need 3 employees fooling around and not doing anything and split up their hours so you can open later. read more

this is the first time I have ever left a review for anything. I can understand why this facility has such a low rating. I went in to the facility in Covington last Friday to cancel my membership. I spoke to Clayton, who stopped helping me in the middle of my transaction to speak to another customer. To say that I felt minimized by the lack of professionalism from the staff member, is an understatement. Today when I called to speak to the manager, Chris, his response was "OK. I'll talk to him". No apology no concern no empathy. No nothing. If you're looking for a gym, go anywhere else. I cannot stress that enough. read more

It is so infuriating to see members do a few reps with weights that are clearly too heavy and spend the next 5+ minutes on their phone, while people are waiting to use the equipment. Why are you even in the gym if you spend so much time on your phone? Workout or get out and let others (that are serious about their workout) use the equipment. NO ONE ENFORCES ANY OF THIS! The gym and staff are great. The equipment is newer and in good shape and the facility is clean. The only complaint are some of the gym-goers are lax in wiping down the machines when they are done. Usually these are younger gym-goers working out in pairs or groups. Good place for families to work out too. read more

I was traveling through the local area for a weekend trip from Spokane and came in to use the shower after a mountain bike ride in the local area. I scanned in using my black card membership QR code on my phone. The staff noticed me but did NOT greet me verbally at all which didn't really bother me until the rest of the experience developed. While I was in the locker room, both of the male attendants came in and "checked" the locker room a total of 3 times while I was in there...and no one else was in there but me. One attendant came back a second time but with a squirt bottle of cleaning solution...which he didn't use to clean anything. He just patroled the area I was in, ignored the res of the room and walked back out. Maybe they assumed I was homeless because I came in with a small carry on size suitcase but that's still a shitty call since everything else about me would have indicated otherwise...for example, the Axo riding jersey, obviously mountain bike shorts, intact expensive Vans footwear and custom Oakley sunglasses. Not gonna lie, I felt like I was being profiled. Not a good look guys...not a good look at all. You can do better. read more

**Edit: super frustrated by members who sit and play or watch their phones on machines, specifically the total gym and others where they only have 1! Today someone laid on the total gym for 40 min! I did my entire workout and kept waiting as this was my last set. I asked her politely if she was done and she said NO and kept on her phone! I "Karen'd" up and told two of the employees and they didnt seem to care. They didn't talk to her or even watch her. It was ridiculous. I waited another 20 min! She didnt use the machine at all just hung out on it and chatted with a friend who was using machines near her....it was Unbelievable! I will be looking at other gyms as I don't mind paying more as long as i can actually use the equipment!** This is an amazing gym and I love all the brand new equipment. However the staff needs to get on people about playing around on their phones while sitting on equipment they're not using. They have a limited number of machines due to Covid and a limited amount of people that can be using equipment in certain areas so people should not be sitting on their phones not working out! Nice facility, but the turn over with staff and the unprofessional attitudes make this a gym I hate dealing with. I've decided to cancel completely after I arrived in person and asked to be downgraded. A staff member had me sign another agreement, which I did and then they continued to take the higher membership rate from my bank account. I called and was told to come back in for another go round. Nope. I was then told to call back when a manager was in and when I did, was told I would be reimbursed and start at the lower rate. No action has been done as far as I can tell. I've been going here for a little over 2 years and am switching gyms after how inconvenient it has become. To start, the app isn't accurate with the crowd meter which is mildly annoying. The change in hours is most annoying and is my reason for switching. Closing at 7pm is ridiculous. On top of that, the staff are 90% lowlifes down to the managers. I genuinely used to enjoy coming here but will be going else where. Also I've been told on multiple occasions im not allowed to wear jeans when coming straight from work yet see people at least once a week working out in jeans. THE WORST GYM I have ever dealt with if I could give 0 stars I would. The staff is highly unprofessional as well as incredibly disrespectful. I was "helped" by the following General Manager-McKenna Regional Manager- Jason and Assistant Manager- Anthony who all 3 not only accused me of cussing and saying certain things that were untrue, but they deliberately disrespected me while assuming I was on hold when not actually placing me on it. Times are hard as i'm struggling financially due to the pandemic and I canceled my membership after 6 months of it being inactive. I was charged an amount that was never brought up nor written anywhere. I noticed the charge later on in the day and called the gym to ask some questions about the payment. The woman I spoke with on the phone last night was such a delight and probably the most positive aspect of that gym. Thumbs up to her!!! But unfortunately she did not have the information that I specifically needed and informed me that the general manager would be in the following day. I gave a call today to check and see if I could speak with the general manager about the charge. Immediately I was given the run around about how since I already canceled my membership I would not be able to be refunded. Although not once did I mention a refund. I was put on hold multiple times and eventually hung up on and my number was blocked! Side note: My boyfriend was right next to me recording the whole incident over the phone. We both went down to the gym to see if they could give us some answers in person, but unfortunately the same treatment was given to us upon arrival. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!! Fail to regularly enforce mask use even if people are on treadmills / stair steppers and puffing lifting weights. Literally someone didn't wear a mask for 30 mins and nothing was said. Either update your policy but don't ignore the fact that it's the policy. Three people at the desk and not one checks on masks ? Clean gym otherwise. read more

It's clean. I don't have to fight for a machine. It's cheap. They cater to non-gym people. I am a non-gym person. There are people at PF who appear to work out regularly. There are also plenty - like me - who are obviously not athletes. No child care, no pool, no handball/basketball. Plenty of weight and cardio machines. They do frequently ask if you'd like to 'upgrade', which includes tanning and massage beds. I reply, "No thank you!". That's that. Most people do wear masks. There are a few plague rats who promptly pull their mask down either because they imagine their workout is all that or they think they're heckin' the system. Ventilation is decent and there's plenty of space. I don't really like working out, but I do like remaining alive. Staff is friendly and always cleaning. I give it a thumbs up. read more

Went to cancel my membership because proof of vaccine, told me they were going to charge me this month anyway. Then the guy behind the counter threatened to take me to collections if i didn't pay. Outright refused to let me talk to anyone of importance, never have i been so disrespected. I gave the right to CHOOSE not to support any establishment like this that is discriminating against me for my person medical decisions. Sure as hell wouldn't show my medical records to a random stranger.. piss poor service. Guy didn't even wear a mask over his nose, and half the people working out didn't have a mask on either. Facility: Clean and Basic, very straightforward for your cookie cutter gym. Pretty clean never had an issue with cleanliness. Front desk staff: Friendly waves and easy check in. Never required their assistance for much. Management: Horrible. I have had a continued issue for over a month with my account. I literally just want to go work out and pay for my account. However, it has taken me four personal attempts and a phone call to have no resolution. The first time I spoke with a Jason who is apparently the lead manager. He was too busy to fully assist me as he appeared to be on his way out. He rather told me what could be done to continue my account and stated that it would be an easy fix that can be handled the next time I was in. Obviously incorrect. I then had to personally speak with Chris the other manager three times. Each time I was told he would have to speak with Jason and would call me back. Each time I never got a follow up and had to reach out on my own only to tell him the story like it was the first time he'd ever heard it. At this point I'm taking it as a sign to ditch this gym and join the remodeled gym across the street. read more

I cancelled my membership at LA Fitness and joined in Feb. I workout at 11 PM so there is at most 10 people plus the 2 amazing staff members. This is a great new gym; good selection of equipment but...I'm giving it only 1 star. This past Monday the Seattle temperature soared to 55 degrees. When I arrived at 11PM it was in the low 30's. I started on the elliptical and placed a paper towel on the machine. It immediately blew off and across the floor. The ceiling fans that usually keep the room comfortable were spinning much faster that usual. One hour into my workout I asked the staff if they could turn down the fans. Done. When my workout moved to the equipment in the back I again noticed a cool/cold draft. I looked up and saw it was coming from a huge air conditioner that seemed to be in high gear. What?!! He staff told me they were told not to touch it. But I noticed that I was only one of two people wearing shorts and tee shirt. Everyone else was bundled up in sweatshirts, some with the hood up, and pants. One of the staff said he/she was wearing a long-sleeved shirt to stay warm even though they were vacuuming, mopping and wiping down the equipment. Maybe keeping the gym cold when it's 60 degrees outside and 75 members inside but, hey, midnight, low 30's, 10 people working out ( 2 on their phones most of the time) maybe the A/C could be turned off. I won't even get into the energy being wasted and the owner's dollars flying out the door! read more

I have an acquaintance that joined this gym. I have been really interested in joining until all the negative feed back I have been receiving from her. She is just getting back into exercise-so the 11.00 a month was perfect for her. She has been continuously harassed about switching to the more expensive plan. Why do you offer this if you are constanly trying to manipulate the person into the more expensive membership?? It's upsetting to hear the 11.00 membership is a scam. I am so glad I didn't join. I would be so upset if you did that to me. read more

I have been going to planet fitness on and off since 2012 and I have nothing to complain about. The most decent price around for a great gym. You may not have all the classes that other gyms offer but if you don't care about classes and go do your workout, Planet Fitness is the place to go. This gym is brand new and has everything I need. I have not had any issues with staff, in fact, they are all friendly. The times I go in, it's usually not crowded and I can use all the machines I need every time. I recommend the Covington one! read more
