    Burrito De Asada
    Minerva B.

I ordered a burrito de asada, ribbed elotes, and an horchata. IT WAS ALL DELICIOUS!! The burrito tastes exactly like if it was meat to the point that I had to call and confirm it wasn't. She was such a lovely lady and explained it wasn't, they char the soy meat to give it that AMAZING taste! I'm in awe and I can't wait to go back, it was such a cute spot I must eat in next time!

I am a ten year vegetarian and when I tell you that this is the best plant based Mexican food I've ever had I mean it. It was me and my friend's first time here, but it wasn't very long until we felt at home as the staff was super nice and welcoming and the restaurant itself is very homey. The waitress let us know how the food is rooted in their grandma's home recipes and we soon found out that abuela was not messing around. We started out with the elote ribs, the corn is so sweet yet savory with all the added spices. Then came the main course, carnitas tacos, beans and rice for me, while my friends got the burrito and the loaded fries. I've eaten a lot of meat substitutes over my tenure being vegetarian, but this is the most realistic tasting carnitas I've ever had. I had 15 years of meat eating experience beforehand, so my judgement is fair. Also I must give a special shoutout to the side of beans that came with my taco plate. They were AMAZING. The little meat crumbles mixed in were delicious. My mouth is literally watering while writing this part of the review. My friends enjoyed their dinner as well and unfortunately because of that there was absolutely no room for dessert. I was able to snag a couple bites of the burrito and it was just as tasty as my tacos. The guacamole on the loaded fries was top tier too. Do y'all see that color???? My experience at Plantita's was amazing and I will definitely be back. I recommend this as a vegan place to bring meat eaters to. The food is that good that it can satisfy both meat eaters and plant based people.

I first discovered this spot after looking for a vegan restaurant while in the area one day. I ordered the Queso-Loaded Nachos w/Drunken Beans and they were hands down the best vegan nachos I've ever had. I could not stop thinking about them. On my birthday I drove 45 minutes from LA to order them again and they were just as delicious the second time. I will definitely be back!

We went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty empty when we got there. We ordered the loaded fries with mushrooms, taco plate with asada and mushrooms, elote, an asada burrito, and chips and guac. Since it was slow, we did have to call the server from the back a few times. Once more people started coming in, she became much more attentive. Food-wise, the only real complaint was the lack of seasoning in the guac. I had to add salt to pretty much everything except the burrito. That said, the asada was seasoned really well with a nice crisp to it -- very delicious. I'd honestly get the asada on everything. The staff mentioned it's made in-house, and you can tell. It's a small restaurant, but overall solid, especially if you're an asada fan.

This was my first time trying PlanTita's so I ordered four tacos & a burrito to go... that way I could try one of each protein. Asada and Al Pastor were by far my favorites so those are the two proteins I'd get if I go again. My boyfriend got the burrito which was delicious too, but mainly rice and beans. Yay for a vegan Mexican options with a variety of protein choices. I really wanted to try their horchata but they were freshly out & I didn't have time to wait for the new batch. Parking was extremely limited but maybe there's parking in the neighborhood. All staff were kind and positive. Plenty of indoor seating available. I like that you could see into the kitchen!

I have been meaning to try this place for some time since it's so close by to where i live. I can honestly say that exploring Vegan restaurants has been an eye opening experience. There are so many different ways to be creative with flavors and the best part of it is how beneficial it can be when impacting your health! The flavors were great, server was attentive as well! I would definitely come back to try more items on the menu! I came by for a quick lunch with my boyfriend and had the best time. He has missed eating seafood and to have something similar to aguachiles that didn't impact his health was perfect! The ambiance felt very cozy and i love the decor! Give this place a try if you ever come across it!

    Taco Plate Mushroom and Shrimp

I visited PlanTita's Kitchen today for a small to-go lunch and I absolutely loved everything about it. The food was AMAZING. I had two tacos, one shrimp and one mushroom with the side of rice and beans and I also had horchata. Everything was so good, I think the mushrooms packed a little more of a punch because of the chipotle sauce, but the shrimp was refreshing. I was so excited as well for my very first vegan Mexican meal AND dairy-free horchata. I'm very lactose intolerant so everything here was safe for my stomach. The staff is also super nice and attentive. The inside is really cute! Definitely plan to come back here.

Plate licking delicious! I ordered the enmoladas and I couldn't tell it wasn't meat. I was a little skeptical on portion size but I was so so wrong- three is plenty enough. Decor is cute and it's clear that the owner has a lot of pride in their culture.

As PlanTita as it gets! This extra delish treasure-like restaurante in the city of Long Beach, off Willow Street is crazy amazing. It's savory with a hint of sweet (Churros on their dessert menu). It's all dine inside, but they clearly do great takeout and delivery as we noted a handful of orders being picked up as well as more people coming in to feast. I knew of P.K. since they opened their doors in 2023, but rarely get to the LBC, except for more recently on trips down, usually with my dinner date. We glanced at their menu online, but got the hard copy of all their offerings including tacos, burritos, plates, starters, plus todo los bebidas on the back of the menu. Beverages on beverages! Beer, Cocktails, Horchata, Soda and my personal favorite, Wine!! When I saw the bottles on display on their gorgeous counter top and beautiful decor #AllAreWelcome I knew this place was gonna be an instant favorite. But let me tell you the food was 12/10, my flauta plate which was going to be the enmoladas (will have them next time), was so rich, cheesy and decadent. Like what magic sauce blended with jackfruit carnitas did I just enjoy? Asking for a friend Novio has their awesome Asada Burrito and we shared a little with each other. 11/10, it was big, beautiful and not heavy. Their chipotle mayo and house made salsa really elevated his meal. Our server was fun, thoughtful and attentive. She had great tips and recommends including on my flauta plate mix up being the best/one of her personal favorites. We definitely noted a few things for our next trip including the elote fried ribs as well as the queso loaded fries (or nachos, or both). Parking is limited in a very very tiny lot, but there's street parking close by off Hayes Ave/Willow St, not to mention on Willow and neighboring blocks Plantita has great decor. Love the flowers, plants on tables, Frida pics, pride flag, Ofrenda like shelving and fun stuff on display. Restroom is easy, super clean and for all. Music was very upbeat, millennial core on a weekend night, yes please! Though it did feel a little elevated for such a great place that has more of a mellow mood, but no complaints. The staff is so thoughtful. The chef's know what their doing and do it super well. We didn't want to overdue it on our first time in (because their will be a 2nd and 3rd), but hoping to try a lot more soon. Make PlanTita Kitchen your next meal :) Será surrealista!

It's hard to make VEGAN tacos taste remotely delicious and this place knows how to do it. I really thoroughly enjoyed my tacos. I ordered the Al pastor, asada and carnitas. The flavors were great. I wish I would have thought about getting guacamole on them, but now I know for next time. The salsa was magnificent. Service was friendly. I appreciated the recommendations. Quant place, high ceilings make it feel more spacious. I'll definitely be back.

Omgg our meal was so wonderful!! The owners are so lovely and were very gracious and accommodating with helping me find a meal that was gluten free and celiac safe. I had the Taco Plate with mushroom tacos and they prepared it in a separate pan for me. It was delicious and most importantly I felt amazing after eating it. My whole group loved their meals, the food is so incredibly flavorful and well made. The perfect balance of tastes. We love that the whole place is Vegan!! And bonus points for the 10/10 bathroom decor. Can't wait to come back again!

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. Dear Team at The Ordinarie Tavern,…read more The Ordinarie has officially become one of our favorite places! We love it so much that we cannot wait to bring more of our friends and family. During our visit, we wanted to try everything on the menu. The presentation was very nice, the food and the cocktails was delicious, the portions were just right and the prices were reasonable. Booking a reservation was super easy. I reserved a patio table for 6 guests at 6:30pm on a Friday night in the middle of summer! I was easily able to modify it and received text verification of my reservation. I didn't pay a dime to use the online booking system. The ambiance was very nice, semi private and the weather was perfect However, the best part of our evening was our server, Isabella. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, animated, and knowledgeable. She truly made our night! With much gratitude, Brenda

The kind of fell flat on the food for me tonight. I did not taste the burger that my husband ordered so I can't speak for that. But I did try the Ordinarie Fries, which the menu said were covered in beef gravy, green chili cheese sauce, and cheese. It sounded really delicious and interesting so we ordered that as an appetizer. It was quite a let down. It wasn't really smothered, so you pretty much didn't have any toppings on the fries below. The beef gravy was good, but I didn't ever get a taste of green chili and that bummed me out. I would not order these again. I ordered the wedge salad and add it on salmon. The wedge salad was pretty basic. There was very little bacon on it and way too much blue cheese. In fact, I ended up leaving a huge amount of blue cheese on my plate. The salmon was quite small and super salty. Overall I was not happy at all with the food here, although I will say I've had good food here before. Also, my husband and son thought their food was pretty good. I would come back, but order something different. And absolutely come back for their pop-ups which are amazing!

I never expected to find stellar cocktails and wings inside of a hotel, but you truly never know…read more Let's start with the cocktails; they are KILLING it. The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

The breading was average and the sweet chili aioli was poor. I asked for ranch instead, which was an improvement but still not great. The portion itself was fine. Service was solid and friendly! I'd rate the staff around a 4. Based on the food I had, the kitchen lands closer to a 2.5 to 3. Booth the food and drinks were nice. This visit, we stopped by in the afternoon just as happy hour was starting. There was a good amount of people already inside which could be that in between lunch rush and beginning of happy hour. Getting a table was a cinch as we were seating right away on the patio. It is pet friendly which is also nice. Layout of the restaurant is, majority of the seating is outdoor which is covered. There's the dining area inside the restaurant which is pretty small, another patio to the side of that as well as the private room to the side for more of an intimate experience. Mainly the front patio and bar area tends to be the busiest. Staff were all amazing and friendly which is a major plus. Nobody wants to come an establishment where service is snooty and rude. Everyone was a major doll and the sweetest. Our waiter, I didn't get his name was the sweetest. As it was HH, they only had that menu available. Limited but still decent for what was offered. A good selection in cocktails items and for the price, they were great. As for food, same with limited items but pricing was great. They're known for the Mac and cheese with hot Cheetos as pretty much loads of the tables had ordered it. We've had it prior but this time opted out on it. Started off with one of their sangria which comes either red or white and an old fashioned. Both on the HH menu and very reasonable for 7.00 a pop. Cant beat that. Sangria was quite refreshing with the fruit slices while the old fashioned, it was strong. Actually worth it for 7.00. Food, a mixture of things to share. An order of their fries with parsley and rosemary with an aioli sauce for dipping, 8.00. The braised cheddar brat with house mustard, caramelized onions, Calabrian chili with basil and shallot for 11.00. Quite tasty and flavorful with all the topping and served in a nice roll. The chicken sandwich which was quite big. Fried chicken with cheddar and American cheese, chef sauce, pickles on a benne seed bun for 11.00. And lastly the attic cheeseburger with new school American cheese, pickles, grilled onion aioli, caramelized onions on a benne seed bun cooked medium for 12.00. It was tasty but between that and the chicken sandwich, chicken takes the leads. Pricewise for the sandwiches was great. Everything is à la carte on the menu. They do have other main dishes but we just stuck to the sandwiches. Also a second round of drinks was had. The mango margaritas and the classic. Both tasty and for 7.00 a pop, can't beat that. The whole experience was great. Service was excellent and all the staff were amazing. Patio seating is great as it's perfect for people watching and enjoying the outdoor. Until next time.

I have been a customer of Nick's 40+ times at minimum. However, they really need to start adding more salads to their menu. The traditional Nick's menu is good, it's very solid. I am a big fan of their filets, petit bistro salad, steak salad, and fish. None of those should be cut! But there needs to be, at minimum, one to two more entrée salad options. Quinoa is great, but doesn't work for everyone. Even just one or two added entree salads would make it much more enticing to return, especially for mixed gender groups. Ideally, the chef could rotate this salad through new concepts seasonally. No need for new menus, just do a specials card. If that's not possible, then one or two permanent salad items to cater to the health foodies would be AMAZING. The main issue is that the Nick's menu lacks innovation, which makes it hard to bring business partners or friends there on repeat visits. I wouldn't be so bothered except that the last time I went to Nick's I added chicken to a salad and they gave me a very poorly prepared piece of low quality chicken with three mouthfuls of bone and gristle. I can accept a stagnant menu if it is always prepared excellently, but I can't accept an inconsistent preparation and stagnant menu. Thank you to everyone at Nick's. Appreciate you all a lot.
