I come every three weeks for a gel pedicure and the experience is always very good. The pedicure is thorough, relaxing and is consistent. The people are friendly and professional. I've been going here for almost a year. After today, I will not be coming back. Lily took me and I asked if she could do a design I found online. She said she could. She was definitely rushing because she had other customers waiting on her so this was very disappointing. My nails were misshapen, she went between a mix of powder and gel so the products weren't mixing well and made my nails feel sandpaper. As you can see, my nails looked nothing like the picture I showed them. Afterwards, I went to another nail salon to get them fixed. read more

They did such a horrible job. For some reason the guy who did it put acrylic on my toenails?? I didn't ask him to, all I asked him was to cut my toenail so they would look the same length. Then he cut all of them to my skin and cut me. So now it burns He didn't know what he was doing and really messed up my feet read more

Normally they do a pretty good job. Today I was unhappy. I asked the lady to fix my middle nail because it broke. She added an acrylic nail but cut it too short. Now it looks stubby. She knew it and didn't fix it. She even asked her boss to look at it. She knew I wasn't happy but she still didn't fix it. I also think the white tips were a little sloppy. You can't see it in the photo because I cannot get a clear close up. No tip for her and I'm Not sure I can come back here. I could have done a better job myself at home. I think I have to find another place now. So sad I was looking forward to them re-opening. read more

I came in for a spa pedicure with my mom today. BEST massage I have EVER gotten, and I have had my fair share of pedicures. Actually, my grandma came here once and said it was the best massage that SHE has ever gotten in her entire life (probably goes without saying that she's gotten quite a few more pedicures than I have). I got the "middle" one called the Zen. It's $35, so average in cost. The lowest is $25 and the highest is $45. They have 8 pedicure chairs and several people working, so there was no wait for us and for most people coming in. On a Sunday no less! The Zen is supposed to last 45 minutes, but it lasted an hour. Heck yeah! Don't mind that at all. My technician's name was Van and she was older than the rest of the ladies (I mention that so you can recognize her and request her ;) ). And like I said before, Van gave me the best massage I've ever had. I have really ticklish feet and the way she scrubbed actually didn't tickle! She did short strokes with the stone, which really helped. (My mom is even worse with the tickle - laughs the whole time they're doing it (loudly!), and her technician did great with it too!) With the massage, she did this amazing thing between the toes and another thing where she rolled my feet between her hands, and... I could go on, but don't just take my word for it. Go experience it yourself. You won't regret it. (This message is endorsed by my mother and grandmother too!) The chairs are comfy and fully adjustable for short people like me. I liked the chair massager too, and I'm pretty picky with those. They have a huge selection of colors so you'll be able to find one you like. **TIP** I did have to ask for a base coat. She wasn't going to put one on otherwise. That was my only complaint. Make sure you ask for one before she puts on your color. They're very clean - use the plastic bag liners in the tubs and all. I felt very comfortable. If you're opposed to plastic liners being used for environmental reasons, this isn't the place for you as they use them for the paraffin wax dip and the tubs. To me, it is worth the comfort in knowing I won't get someone else's foot cooties. Mom note: last time when she went, she got the male technician. She said it wasn't good, mostly because he kept answering the phone. But every other experience of hers at Pleasant Nails has been amazing (this was my first time, and I was very satisfied and impressed.) I tipped the full 20% tip (the standard for these types services if you are 100% satisfied, like I was). They were very appreciative. That's a $7 tip, for a total of $42. Worth every penny. read more

Immediately I should've known better when I saw a senior lady in about her early 90s, having difficulty opening the front door and dropping her stuff! Meanwhile, the two young men working, sat there, laughing at her instead of being a gentleman and getting up and helping their customer. Then they soak my feet if lucky, five minutes start polishing my toes and never once cut the cuticles or did he scrub my feet to get all of the cracks, then proceeded to polish my nails. Extremely disappointed I've had my nails and feet done many times, in other places, but try to do everything within 15 minutes to make money versus the quality was ridiculous. read more

Warning! Only the young girls and the older women that sits at the first table can actually do nails. The older grandma looking one CANNOT do nails. I came here religiously for years until I had the grandma lady who clearly is not even a certified nail tech do my manicure. It was so bad it was laughable and I told her I was not leaving until she fixed it. She said that it was my cuticles that were making it bad. What the hell does some cuticles have to do with you painting my damn fingers, not the nails, my fingers? Only come here in the Summer or when the other young ladies are out of school because you'll end up getting your whole damn arm painted by the old lady and still have to pay them $25. Then she had the audacity to get mad because I did not tip her. read more

Seems like I can't win with nail shops here in Cali. I didn't have an appointment, the wait was 30 minutes. No problem. After about five minutes, someone put me in a chair. In my head, I'm like, great! Put my feet in water and started the massage chair. 20 minutes go by and the water is ice cold, no one is saying anything. By 40 minutes, I walk out. Why put my feet in water, if you weren't ready to start the service. I have a small bit of pamper time away from my newborn and this just ruined it. Wasted my time. Definitely won't be back. read more

I called to setup an appointment for an acrylic set for 1pm today, and I requested that I would like to have the owner to assist me with my nails and I was on a time crunch. I was told not a problem and my appointment was set for 1pm, however after arriving to the appt at 1:02pm I was told to have a seat and wait. I waited for almost 25 mins before a random technician approached me who spoke very little English, I had told the technician that before scheduling my appointment I requested the owner to assist me with my nails, she didn't quite understand what I needed and continuing to try to work on my nails, I thank her and told her I was very specific before making my appointment. Long story short, please do not accept appointments if you are not able to service your customer in a timely manner. We all have lives, we have work, we have kids to pickup , day to day tasks. Making an appointment should guarantee you slot. Definitely left a negative impression and I will not return. read more

Hidden gem alert!! I've tried a lot of nail salons and most don't make it past the 2nd or 3rd visit (and that's typically when I'm comfortable and ready to give them a review). Pleasant Nails is an exception. I was so impressed by the quality and great customer service that after just 1 visit, I had to write this review! I called in and was naive enough to ask if they were busy. The lady on the line said no and to come in any time! It was a Saturday afternoon so I was somewhat reluctant to believe that business was slow (or even worse, that they're slow because they're not that awesome). I decided to give them a shot and arrived to a packed house but was seated right away for my mani/pedi. Honestly, I was laughing inside at how "quiet" it was (because it wasn't)! After confirming the services I came in for and choosing a color, my pedi started right away. I didn't even know my manicurist's name until I was checking out; but regardless, she was straight business. She wasn't unpleasant and she smiled and asked me questions. It was nice though because there wasn't a lot of talking among the team of manicurists and my mani/pedi was done in about 40-minutes! I was really happy with how my nails looked and that they were all the same shape and shade. I prefer not to do any hand or feet modeling (I'm peculiar like that); but I can tell you, most of the customers there expressed how fast they were and how they appreciated their work. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Went in for gel nails and regular pedicure. Service was good. I was matching my friend's daughter nail color for her birthday party and was suggested a color from an older selection of gel colors. How am I supposed to know how you number your stations? Hot day today and I was thirsty- other customer had drinks. I asked if they had any drinks, like water or such. The lady said "ya" and walked away, did not give me options and came back with a mini water. Ok. Whatever. I'm sitting there waiting for 10 mins 20 mins, assuming my appointment will start at any time now, mind you I was never updated regarding what was happening with the wait time. I finally asked and was told it would be another 10-15 mins! Why would you not tell me that on the phone? Or when I came in? Or when I told you that I was looking for the shortest service possible? I understand a walk in is a walk in but at least explain to your customers what is going on instead of making them sit there thirsty and wonder. This woman had no warmth, every time I asked her something I felt like she was annoyed. On top of that, there was nail dust at the station I was sitting in very obvious spots. I read through some previous reviews regarding people getting infections after services at this salon.The lady who was going to be doing my nails did not seem anywhere near done with the previous client. I decided to leave. Sad because I have been looking for a nail salon in this area-the search continues.

Over all experience was fine not the best, I like the overall shape of my nails but the quality wasn't best. There are some spots that are properly filled down and uneven buffing, the acrylic application was not properly it's uneven and she's the wrong tools for filing and buffing my nails. I never once was used a proper tool or even sterilized her after she used them. All of tool were dirty. (She use the same brush to wipe dust on my nails and use the same brush to dust off dirt/dust on the counter and used it again on my nails. VERY unhygienic!! )) We won't be coming because my nail lady gave me attitude and I didn't feel comfortable when everyone was speaking in their language and I don't know any what they are talking about, not professional. Lastly to end with this she didn't sterilize her tools and equipment.
