I had such an amazing experience at Amethyst Nails in West Park. I went with the Royal Rose pedicure and wow it was next level relaxing. From the moment I sat down, the service was excellent. They were so kind and attentive, especially during the hot wax treatment. They kept checking in to make sure the temperature felt okay and that I was comfortable. You can really tell they genuinely care about how you're feeling and not just rushing through the service. The massage was definitely the highlight. I loved it. So relaxing and exactly what I needed. It's also a bonus that they're in West Park Roseville, super convenient. The salon is fresh, clean, bright, and smells amazing. I love the white aesthetic and the seats are really comfortable. Fresh gel pedicure from Vicky who was so gentle and thorough! Her work was attentive and mindful of my preferences. She put extra attention on my ugly baby toenail and gave her a glow up. Just called in for a last minute pedicure in the afternoon. Nice, bright and clean nail salon close to home. I like the fact they use new packaged toe separators on me. Vicki was attentive and friendly. It was a nice relaxing treat for me. I would recommend coming here if you're in the neighborhood! My daughter and I have been meaning to try this place out, we live so close and they're always booked! I was happy to get a last minute pedicure appointment, called in for 2 NORMAL pedis as we wanted to chill from gel. Vibe was chill, clean space and friendly staff-- I confirmed twice with one of the nail techs upon arrival that we wanted the #1 normal, not gel. The pedi process was thorough and great massage pressure so we felt relaxed and were able to chat with each other. We realized after the first uv lights were placed on our toes that we DID NOT get a normal pedi and it was a gel. I didn't want to be a Karen and call them out after their (much appreciated) hard work, but at the same it's not ok because there really is such a price different between normal and gel $. So I was torn. Between the two of us, it was an additional $30 that I ate. I understand it wasn't malicious, but this was our first time here so not sure if i was being taken advantage of??? Just be careful to continue to clarify what you asked for, don't get too relaxed, doze off, caught up on your phone or in your conversation because this might happen and you might be forced to pay for something you didn't ask for. It's not like I won't come back, but next time I will have to remind them a few more times of the services I called in for. read more

Came here for a quick pedicure. I love how the nail tech didn't scrub too hard since my feet are very ticklish, she immediately stopped when she noticed I was uncomfortable. Overall, the tech was nice, however these were probably some of the more poorer quality builder gel nails I've ever had. The polish on each finger is off the nail, no real cuticle work is done with the drill, and the shape is just pretty irregular. I didn't realize it until I got home so I didn't say anything but I now need to get them redone at a different salon. I think it's a little misleading they have 4.5 stars, I think honestly there are much better options in Roseville that I have been to. I think they could improve on basic nail mechanics to retain customers or recruit better techs. Again, tech was nice but I won't be coming back unfortunately. Maybe I just got unlucky.. read more

Tried out Amethyst for the first time today and had a great experience! It wasn't too busy, so I was able to call and get a spa pedicure scheduled within the hour. Prices were competitive to most salons in the area. The salon is very CLEAN which I loved! The pedicure chairs were nice, you could tell they were top of the line. The massage on the chairs was also subtle and not painful like some chairs are. Na (Vicky) did my pedicure, and she was SO delicate, I was very impressed. She also took my feedback well, and always cared about how I felt during the service. I also had a pleasant conversation with the owner Rose. I am so grateful to find a place so close to home. The staff have been amazing, all around. And I appreciate that the service and nail care is consistent among the techicians. The one thing I notice is that my gel manicure and regular polish pedicure last longer that other places I've been too. I was able to cut my nails short (I know, I know...not a good idea), and it still stayed on. Only one finger had a chipped gel. Lastly, I took my mom here as a last minute add-on for Saturday. And despite knowing their schedule would be tight, they accommodated my mom. Rosa and the staff are just amazing, personable, and professional. I don't have to save a favorite techician as all of them are amazing in their work. Not to mention, their salon is beautiful, clean and bright. Thank you, Amethyst. Don't ever change. Yay! This neighborhood Nail Lounge is ready for your business. I did a walk in for a Gel Pedi and Dip Mani. I was greeted by the friendly owners Tu and Rosa luckwas able to be tended to right away. I must've came at just the right time as other patrons were walking in and were kindly asked if they could come at a later time due to appointments booked are priority. I live about two minutes from this nail salon and waited a long time for it to open up while the new shopping center it's in has been filling up. I finally went for the first time a couple weeks ago and had a great experience. The person who did my pedicure (I didn't get her name - it was one of two female employees) did a really nice job, and the polish job has held up. Tu did my dip nails, and he also did a really nice job. I was overdue for an appointment from my prior place - and the person who's been doing my nails there was on an extended trip - so I took the opportunity to have my nails done at Amethyst. My nails were done in a much more natural-looking fashion than they had been and they have also held up extremely well. I failed to take photos when I had them done; I'll do that after my next trip. I had a chance to chat with Rosa while Tu (I believe they are the owners) was doing my nails and learn about their sanitation practices. Since they don't do acrylics you're not dealing with that smell, either, which is a nice bonus. I plan to go back, as their work, service and location made that decision pretty easy for me. read more

I asked about the price of a gel polish and manicure on the phone when I made my appointment but when w arrived their menu has a higher price. A little confusing. They honored the price given over the phone. But, they charge extra to remove gel polish and then they have a separate price for a polish change. Also confusing. And I feel like removing the polish removal should be included in the polish change price. But when they saw I was confused about the extra charge they removed it. Received a gel manicure and a polish pedicure. The male operator refused to listen to my needs, but instead pushed his opinion. Without permission he took a picture of my toes and said it was a before and after shot. No pic was taken after. He also claimed issues re insurance because I asked him to clip the sides of my toenails - a common procedure. I asked that my toenails and fingernails be polished in the same color. He assured me it was. His wife indicated it looked different because of the distance from my toes to my eyes. When I got outside, the fingernails were redder, which I said, and the toenails were dark; two different colors. After the manicure during payment, he charged me an additional $5 for removing the gel polish I arrived in. Amethyst Nail Lounge is clean and presents well. They have quality products, but the man was horrible with me. His vibe was hurtful. I almost left in the middle of the pedicure. Receiving over 50 years of manicures & pedicures in several locations - averaging 10 years at each location, I've never been so disrespected. Most operators welcome your suggestions or questions about their services for your body so to welcome you back to their business. He was the worse. Good luck with this one. read more

I have never been to a nail salon like this before. Not only did they give me water but they actually conversed with me. My nail tech Amy, was not only beautiful but hilarious and sweet. She took her time with me. I can be a little unsure of what way to go when I'm trying out new shapes and colors but the team over here really made me feel welcome and gave great opinions. No one ever made me feel rushed. They even did a paraffin wax for my hands that just can get so dry over the winter. They feel so nice and soft now. Very bad customer service. I started going here when they opened and they use to be so nice in the starting but I guess now that they have picked up the business they have changed a lot. I booked an appointment with them a few days and when I went in for my appointment they said I don't have any appointment and then we had a little argument and then they changed their statement and said they booked me for 5:30 so I said okay I'll wait. And then the guy came to me and said they cannot take me in because it is going to take longer time for my nails. They said it takes around 15 min for colour change but you have a refill which I don't understand why is that even the issue as I booked the appointment for full set builder gel nails. This place is really aesthetically pleasing. The employees are super nice and VERY accommodating to anything you might need. I got a walk in pedicure and they took care of me (basic pedicure here with gel is $65) their services are on the pricer side but they took a full hour on my pedicure which was nice! I have been looking forward to trying out Amethyst Nail Lounge since it opened as it is not far from my home. I finally had a chance this morning and was not disappointed! I got the Amber pedicure and a gel manicure. The salon was very clean and smelled nice--no harsh fumes. They kept the thermostat at a comfortable temperature as it was shaping out to be a hot summer day. The pedicure stations were immaculate and all tools were new and sanitary for each customer. In regards to service, Rosa and the rest of the staff were very nice, helpful and made you feel welcome and comfortable. I enjoyed small talk with Rosa throughout my services. She was very communicative and asked me questions about my likes and dislikes related to my nails. The pedicure I purchased included a nice scrub, hot towel, lotion, hot stones and massage. The gel manicure included lotion and massage. Most importantly, the finished product was great! My gel manicure and pedicure turned out exactly how I hoped--clean, tidy, smooth and cute. This will definitely be my go-to salon from now on. I can't wait to bring my mom and sisters some time. **Also quick tip, there is a great coffee shop called MoJoe's (also really good) a couple doors down so you can grab something before your appointment.
