I'd like to think of myself as a professional purchaser of stuff, but so far nobody has been willing to pay me to buy stuff randomly for myself, or for them, so for now I simply regard myself as an experienced hobbyist. That all is to say that I have some experience with salesfolk. The wrong salesperson can make the thing you want the most in the world (and are ready to buy right now this very second seriously look at the wad of $100's I am irresponsibly carrying in my hands because I also irresponsibly filled my pants pockets to overflowing and my girlfriend absolutely refused to let me utilize her bra like the ladies in the movies do sometimes and now I am here alone hemorrhaging all this cash because after I asked she also decided to refuse to come along with me BUT I WANT IT NOW!) become something that instead you really don't need and maybe can do without forever if it means never having to interact with or even see them from an incredibly far distance away EVER AGAIN. Luckily this type of experience tends to be rare, but once is all it takes for you to risk being robbed AGAIN on the way home because you thought carrying all those $100's would look cool but you now understand that your girlfriend was right when she said "No, no it won't, and stop saying $100's, those are clearly $1 bills and then badly cut green construction paper that you just wrote the dollar sign on in permanent marker and I swear to god if you ask me one more time about storing some of it in my bra you are going ALONE!" There are also mediocre salesfolk that we all buy stuff from far more regularly but don't care about or pay attention too much to because, well, most people treat others the way they are treated. We don't leave these folks reviews, because we feel that we do not matter to them, and therefore they do not matter to us. When we next need to buy a similar thing once more, we do not return (Typically I just go wherever my girlfriend wants to go because she is better looking AND smarter than me PLUS she has a car that I'm not allowed to drive because apparently you have to have a license?! SINCE WHEN?). Then there are people like Jennifer O'brien, who embody the best parts of the salesperson idea. I instantly felt that she truly cared about my questions, and she replied with thorough answers. It is obvious that she knows the things she sells and cares about the person buying. She asked poignant and appropriate questions up front that brought up a couple of different things I hadn't thought about, but will now not be issues later on; They'd have been big ones had she not asked me about them. She took her time and explained the services Plessers offers, as well as keeping me well informed about processes like financing and shipping so that my expectations were set properly. There have been no unpleasant surprises, and I did not feel as if I were being 'sold' something at any point in my experience. I did feel like I had a very helpful guide along the way who led me to exactly where I wanted to go, even though my confusion about certain things I didn't quite grasp made my side of the conversation much harder on her. The Samsung refrigerator we bought is for my girlfriends house. Plessers didn't end up taking the financing that we thought they did- which was the fault of OUR finance company officially showing Plessers as a partner when they shouldn't have been, and not in any way an issue Plessers created. In spite of the excellent service and communication Jennifer provided, I was sure this was going to be a deal killer for my girlfriend, as she was already approved for 18 months at 0 percent with the other financing company and is usually a stickler for the best terms. However due to Jennifer's sincerity, over the top service, and just embodying the idea of the quintessential salesperson along every step of the way, my girlfriend decided to apply for the Citibank 0% interest for 12 months option and buy through Plessers from Jennifer. So I guess now I have to add miracle worker to Jennifer's impressive set of skills! read more

I was in dire need of a new refridgerator as our died days before Thanksgiving 2019! We found exactly what we were looking for with Plessers after searching both Lowes at multiple locations. frustrated we picked one in lowes that was not going to make our other appliances-a completely different brand in fact! We simply could not find what we were looking for at Lowes. I ended up locating Plessers by accident as I began an online search of a new resource to get the fridge we actually wanted as we still had time to cancel the one coming because we had to wait for 2 weeks (after we paid) for that one to be delivered! I found the model I was searching for that matches in (brand and series) all my other matching kitchen appliances! I was thrilled! We had an issue (mainly) in that it was Thanksiving time and delivery was also, going to be delayed through this company also-sigh.. And, then it was scheduled to be delivered to our home just in time for Thanksgiving... I recived a call from the 3rd party delivery comapny the driver had timed out and would not be deliverying the fridge as promised. i got on the phone with plessers and learned that the delivery folks only come to my area only so often-it would be another week or more before we would see our new fridge! Megan, worked hard to coordinate the delivery ASAP. Not as soon as we had hoped but, it was delivered as promised with the second attempt. In our family, we have a way of thinking and a certain standard in regards to how we feel about the buinesses and folks we deal with in all phases of any given transcation. We approach our relationship, and set standards (expectations) not on if things go wrong, but, rather when things go wrong.. how are we taken care of? We bought the fridge at a super great price! there also, was a manufacters rebate! And, the price we paid for the warrenty was super inexpensive and even covers the compresser for 10 year! All good things that helped us be a wee bit patient with the delivery delays. The Big thing that saved the sale, when we did not get our appliance when we really needed it, was the customer service provided by Megan B. She set that second delivery appointment, refunded our $50.00 delivery fee, stay close via email communication and followup, and sent us a $100.00 amazon gift card! The fridge was in perfect condition and is operating above our expectations (we have had a bunch of lemons from fridgidaire-5 in 4 years-actually). We are very happy with the end transaction and Megans wonderful attitude and willingness to show appreciation for our busines (and issues that arrose through no fault of our own-or their really) but, she went out of her way to work at making thing right with, and for us! I just got a great deal at Plesser's! We are doing a kitchen remodel, and we just ordered all the appliances except for the dishwasher at Home Depot last weekend. We were looking for an 18 inch dishwasher which is a lot harder to find and finally settled on one, and after doing some extensive price comparison, Plesser's had The best price plus a free extended warranty. I was a little apprehensive about ordering from a store I hadn't heard of before, so I did some research and saw all the testimonials and positive feedback online. Plus they are a family owned business and after my long years working for a corporate retailer having developed an appreciation for family owned businesses, I was happy to give them a shot. I called up and talk to Gene who was very helpful in answering all my questions on the dishwasher. As the conversation progressed and I told him we ordered the other appliances at Home Depot he suggested that I might be able to get a better deal Buying all of it from them. Sure enough, I saved 500 bucks off HD's sale priby ordering everything from Plessers! They had the exact same items in stock with free shipping and no tax. You can't beat that! Anxiously awaiting delivery of my new appliances in a few weeks, thank you Gene for your help! UPDATE 1/18/18 When the fridge arrived as I was putting it together I realized it was the wrong model. The model was off by one letter, but that one letter meant no dispenser. This wasn't going to work. Now, the letter was supposed to be D, and the model I got was the same but with a 'G'. D and G sound very similar over the phone and ultimately it's on me for not noticing on the sales order, which had the model number clearly stated. So here I am with a $1600 fridge I have no use for, and it's my fault. Most companies don't allow returns on appliances so I was dreading how to address the situation. Well Plesser's came through again. Their customer service dept was prompt in finding a solution, and Gene even called me back after I had been handed over to customer service to make sure they were helping me out. Customer service is the true mark of any companies values and culture. Dominique in service came up with a solution to get me into the right fridge. Also everything showed up in perfect condition. While there are some pretty harsh reviews here, I must say my experience with both buying and in addressing my issue has been great so far. read more

I found Plessers to be very nice to work with. They had every high end appliance I needed. I shopped for the best prices and Plessers matched or were the lowest. They delivered within the time promised. The best part of dealing with Plessers is the customer service. I had an issue with subzero stainless steel fridge doors as they looked scratched. I had left the blue plastic on it for several months as there was construction in my home and I wanted to keep it protected. When I finally removed the plastic I was horrified to see 2 long scratches across both doors. I tried to remove them with stainless cleaner. They faded but remained and I could feel them. Wasn't sure I had a claim after so much time had passed. Dominique in customer service was amazing. She informed me the doors were insured and said if the scratches couldn't be removed, I would get new doors. She scheduled an appt. for inspection/repair, but before the date arrived, I noticed that the scratches might have disappeared. Dominique encouraged me to keep the appt. to be sure. Turns out it was the plastic that left marks that felt like scratches but came off. My appliances weren't ready to be installed until construction was finished. When installed several months after delivery, the trash compactor didn't glide properly. Dominique contacted GE and arranged for a repair person to inspect. GE then cancelled the appt. without notice to me. Dominque was right on it. GE apparently has a problem with their drawers and they decided they should first order a new drawer to be on site and rescheduled without telling me. Dominique must have really let GE have it because a new drawer and a repair person arrived that very same day. He reported back that it is working as intended. I knew that wasn't true as I had the same trash compactor in my last house and the glide was fine. GE wrote me off but Dominique persisted. She asked me to video the way mine glided and the way it glided in a showroom. Clearly there was something wrong. She got GE to offer to replace or refund, or to provide any other brand I wished to have. I cannot overstate how much I appreciate her courtesy, swift action and professionalism. Dominique made sure I wasn't short changed or dismissed. She made sure everything was resolved to my satisfaction while keeping me informed every step of the way. read more

Our challenge was a 22-year-old double oven with a broken control module. It had an older Speed Oven technology, and we really didn't want to lose that capability. We found similar Speed Oven tech, just not in the full wall oven size we were used to (nor as part of an integrated two-oven set). So installation in our existing wall housing would be a bit tricky. In addition, the new Speed Oven would need its own 240V, 40-amp breaker, not just one breaker like the current setup. While web searching for speed ovens, I kept being presented with online ads for Plesser's in Babylon, and even though they were a 40-minute drive from us, we decided to shop them since they carried the high-end brands we wanted. What a totally satisfying experience it turned out to be. Our initial visit was with Paul Furnari, who patiently showed us a variety of models that might meet our needs, and Manny, the front-end boss, who immediately struck up a conversation with us, zeroing in on our exact preferences. Considering our installation complexity, Paul assured us that they had a recommended independent installer for special issues like ours, and gave us his number. The installer came to the house in advance, checked out everything, and presented a comprehensive resolution and estimate. His installation cost was billed separately and was very reasonable. When I called to follow up with Paul, he was out, but Adam Bayram responded to the voicemail I left for Paul; the entire experience was completely seamless. I was so pleasantly surprised. Adam and Paul worked as a team to deliver excellent pricing, extended warranty, and product knowledge, and they were very understanding when an unexpected change of plans prior to purchase required some revisions to the estimate. Adam followed up regularly from sale to installation, and we could not have been happier with the independent installer, who took great care to do a spotless installation right down to cleaning up, setting the clocks, and explaining the operation of each oven. Again, seamless work with Adam on delivery and installation. Just. so. easy. I highly recommend Plesser's and Adam Bayram and Paul Furnari for an excellent, stress-free appliance buying experience. first off I would like to say...what a mess! I purchased a new Kitchen Aid (KA) fridge from Presslers...great price and amazing warranty that covers parts AND labor for 10-years! when I received the fridge it worked for 24 hours and then would not cool. After going through KA warranty service process, certified KA techs determined the fridge had 3 defective parts. Being this was a new fridge I requested KA send a new one...nothing! after a couple attempts i contacted Presslers and they were able to get KA to send another fridge!!! We received the "new" fridge and within 24 hours the fridge broke again! Going through the same servicing process the KA tech revealed the compressor on the fridge was defective!!!! yes the 2nd "new" fridge. Again, contacted KA and they said get it fixed and live with it!!!!!!! obviously not the response I was expecting. once again, Presslers stepped in and made KA send me a new fridge OR provide options. I requested KA not to send the fridge and reimburse me for the two defective fridges as i had the second "new" fridge repaired. KA AGAIN...deal with it, we will give you nothing!!!!! I again contacted Presslers and they were only able to have KA send a $100 gift card for our troubles of not having a fridge for over 2 moths due to all the chaos! Again...Presslers stepped in to make me whole. They refunded me the difference in cash of what a "new" fridge and a refurbished fridge of that model would be so that I essentially purchased a refurbished fridge! I felt this was something Presslers did not need to do but they stood behind their sales and helped me out....much appreciated. Long story short, I give Presslers all the kudos for working with me through all this hassle. I will definitely work with them again. As for KA, they can take a hike...never again will I purchase a KA anything...major OR small appliance...and hope their customer service takes some lessons in protecting the consumer and standing behind their products as Presslers did! KA makes a terrible product with even worse customer service/support. read more

We bought a four piece Samsung Black Stainless Steel package from Plesser's Appliance in December 2016. We were very apprehensive at first because we live in Southern New Jersey and Plesser's is located in New York. I did my homework and found out that Plesser's has been in business for years. I checked several sights and for the most part, their reviews are very good. I did extensive pricing research as this appliance package was very expensive. Plesser's was $750 cheaper than most retailers, plus an additional rebate. I contacted the company directly and spoke to Barry Dubin. Barry was wonderful to work with and was able to assist me with a 5-year warranty package at an extremely reasonable price. We were remodeling our kitchen and it was important that my appliances be delivered within a specific time window. Plesser's did not disappoint! Barry arranged for my delivery, and the delivery department contacted me and my appliances were delivered on time. They were delivered by a trucking company. Pay for the Gold Service - it is so worth it. They take the appliances out of the boxes and bring them in your home. I had a few issues. Two of my refrigerator handles were scratched. Also, my microwave had a dent on the top of it. I accepted delivery and contacted Barry immediately, who told me that a customer service representative would be contacting me shortly. As promised, I had the pleasure of dealing with Dominique Eckstein. She was fabulous! I sent her pictures of the scratches and dent. She had replacement handles sent out to me within a week, and she offered to replace the microwave or discount it. Since it worked properly and the dent was being covered by a cabinet, I chose the discount. In summary, my dealing with Plesser's on a scale of 1 to 10 was a 10+. Their prices are better than most retailers, their service is top notch, and their employees are friendly and helpful. My wife and I are remodeling our kitchen and decided to buy upgraded black stainless steel Samsung appliances. We found that Plessers had the best prices with no sales taxes, but we were scared of spending over $5,000 online with a company that we knew nothing about. We decided to call Plessers to see if they were legit. My call was answered by the companies Sales Manger (Eugene Coughlin) who quickly used some good sales and closing skills on me and act as if I was the best customer ever till he collected over $5,400 from us then completely ignored my wife and I. This is meant to be a Positive review about an amazing Plessers employee, Dominique Eckstein. After making several attempts to contact Eugene which he ignored all our e-mails, messages and voicemails. I decided to connect to the Plessers Customer Service and reached Dominique Eckstein who was an absolute blessing. We were honestly scared about what happened with Eugene and Dominique took over and treated us as if she owned the company. She made us feel comfortable and happy about our purchase. So much, that we will refer our family & friends to her and Plessers with not doubt about this company. We had a few small issues and she corrected them the same day. She followed the complete process from our shipment, delivery and even helped and ensured we got our rebate, also surprising to us...she did part of this while she was on vacation! I thought Dominique was also a manager and just found out she's not, but really deserves to be one. She clearly loves her job, cares deeply about Plessers and their customers and I couldn't have asked for anyone better than Dominique. We'd like to personally tell Plessers CEO/Management about our amazing experience with Dominique and thank them. My experience with Plessers Appliances was mixed. I ordered from Plessers because the model of refrigerator that I wanted was unavailable in any of the appliance stores near me so my search on the internet led me to Plessers and a very good price. Being an extremely cautious person I checked multiple sites, refrigerator dimensions as well as the all the dimensions in my house before I clicked on the order button. Early the next morning I received a call from Plessers asking if I indeed ordered 3 identical refrigerators or if there had been an internet glitch. I appreciated the call. Then the wait began I called a number of times to try and find out when my order would be delivered and was only told around the end of the following month. I wanted that refrigerator so I waited and kept calling hoping to get a more precise date, to no avail. The order actually came past their expected delivery date. It took exactly 36 days from the day I order the appliance for it to show up. I received a call at 6 pm the day prior to the delivery day and was told it would be there between 11 and 3 by a company contracted by Plessers, I paid additional money to get the Gold Star in house delivery. When the delivery men arrived they immediately told me that the refrigerator would not fit through my door but they would happily remove the doors so that it would fit at and additional charge of $35. I had measured my door and based on the measurements on the website I knew it would fit. It wasn't until I picked up my phone to call Plessers that they agreed to "try" and get it in my house. AND IT FIT WITH NO PROBLEM. They then proceeded to tell me that they do not remove the packing materials so they would be leaving them, and they did strewn across the street. My big problem with Plessers is the people they choose to do business with, I could tolerate the long wait time but the delivery was a very unpleasant, frustrating experience. read more

We made what we considered a large purchase from Plesser's, around $4200.00. It wasn't until after the purchase did we start researching Plesser's for customer satisfaction...Yes I know we kind of did it backwards...that we read some bad consumer reports about Plesser's and became alarmed. We called Plesser's & requested our order be cancelled, when the sales consultant asked why I told them we what we had read on-line & did not trust in doing business with them. We could tell the sales consultant was taken back by our comments but assured us there was no problem in cancelling our order and receiving a full refund of our money, we were within the 72 hour grace period from the time we submitted our order. She asked us before we cancelled if we would like to speak with the head of the customer service department, Liz, & voice our concerns to her. We said no, just cancel our order. About 15 minutes later we received a call from Liz saying our order was being processed for cancellation & we would be seeing our money back in our account ASAP. Liz then inquired to our concerns, which we responded. Liz explained that many of the complaints were do to the fact the customer never inspected their merchandise upon delivery only to find damage or defect after signing off to the shipper which at that point was out of Plesser's control. To cut to the chase, Liz sensed we were fearful of being burned on our purchase & handled our order with utmost respect, courtesy, kindness & sincerity. Our delivery was delayed due to a breakdown with the shipper's truck, which Liz was right on top of & the delivery service was on top as well, contacting us with their problem & arrangements being revised to meet our schedule. The 2 guys from AM Home Delivery were courteous & professional with our appliances arriving in 100% perfect condition. Thank You! I had an excellent experience with my recent purchase from Plessers. I started browsing their website and comparing prices with other similar online retailers, as well as local appliance stores. There were a few items not available online, so I called the store and spoke with Stephen. Stephen was very helpful and knowledgable, he knew each model before I finished the model number. He also knew which rebates were available on similar models. He helped guide me through a few items where I was flexible on the specific model to get me the best overall deal for me. I purchased $10,000 worth of appliances for an all-new kitchen. Plessers matched or beat the price on every item on my list, plus found some additional rebates that I wasn't aware of before. Stephen helped save me thousands of dollars versus using a local appliance store. He was also much more responsive than any of the local stores I had tried to use. I had a lot of lead time as my kitchen had just started construction. I did receive an email a week or two after the initial order saying that one item had been delayed. Though I was initially concerned, I received a call from Plessers well ahead of the scheduled late delivery time saying that all my appliances were ready for delivery. Since I still wasn't ready to take delivery, they held the items and worked with me to help me schedule a delivery time that worked best for me. Being in Virginia, they contracted with a separate shipping company to accommodate delivery. The delivery contacted me just when Plessers said they would. They scheduled a reasonable delivery window, called me 30-minutes out, and showed up on time. The guys were friendly and fast, bringing in all the appliances. I had "Gold" delivery, but unfortunately my kitchen still wasn't quite ready - so the guys unboxed for me to inspect, then nicely restored the boxes to protect the appliances. read more
