Purchased a refrigerator from Plessers Applicances recently. The ordering and delivery were pretty smooth. The appliance came without a scratch. The price of the appliance was pretty close to how much Home Depot or Best Buy would sell for. However, what attracted me to buy from Plessers Appliances was the 10 years limited warranty that came with the product at no charge. I have yet to use the warranty and hopefully won't have to. One negative thing is the time it takes to get the appliance. I ordered on 11/2 and didn't receive the item til 11/30. That needs to be improved. read more

I bought from them before and had a good experience but wasn't sure if I wanted to buy today and talked to Jenifer who took the gamble out of the experience and made me feel like she knew her stuff so I bought the one she suggested! 10 stars for Jen!!! "With Plesser's you can expect comparable prices, knowledgeable staff, professional delivery, and excellent after sales service."...only one of these statements is true & that is the professional delivery. Ordering my washer & dryer through Plesser's Appliance of Southampton was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. For 39 years, I have worked in the luxury retail industry & have conducted customer service seminars internationally. This Plesser nightmare began back in March.when I decided to convert my coat closet into a washer/dryer space. I went online for price comparisons & was pleasantly surprised to discover that Plesser's had comparable, if not better pricing than the big box stores. My only contact for these past 4 months was with the store manager. Most of my communication with him was by email. His recommendation was an Asko Washer & Dryer. On March 22, I requested pricing including delivery/installation & if they were in stock. He answered my questions & said $349 for delivery/installation. So, I proceeded with my order & he confirmed I should have the washer/dryer by mid-April. On April 19, I asked for an update since I hadn't heard from him in almost a month. He responded that my order had been delayed until May 25. I accepted this new delivery date but wondered why I hadn't been informed. On May 17, I asked for a delivery update. On May 20, I asked for another update (second request) only to be told my order had been pushed back to July 8! I only discovered these new dates because I asked not because the information had been offered to me, the customer. I then asked what is the store's solution for this customer service issue? The manager recommended a GE washer/dryer. When I asked if the dryer could be vented on the side, he sent me an email attachment of the pamphlet to read. I then called the GE representative myself & she assured me that the dryer could be side vented. On June 14, I asked for an update on the GE delivery only to receive an automated email response that he would be out of the office until June 2! Then, on June 15, from Plesser's Customer Support Center, I received an invoice confirmation of $2684.10 all inclusive with a "schedule to ship" date of June 23. Then, on June 21, I received another invoice confirmation from customer support of $2906.77 with no explanation of the difference. On June 24, I sent an email to the store manager, marketing department, & customer service asking why there was a difference of $222.67 between the 2 invoices. On June 28 the store manager responded: "we had to add items to complete the installation." with no further explanation. When I went through the invoice line by line, the installation/delivery totaled $400, $50 over his original quote back in March. Also, there was a $55 charge for an "exhaust cover plate". I sent an email request asking for an explanation of this charge since I already had a cover plate installed. As of this date, I am still waiting for his reply. On July 9, from customer service, I received an announcement of their appliance sale and guess what? My washer & dryer were included in the sale $531.80 less than I paid! So I sent an email to marketing, customer service, & the store manager asking for a price adjustment since only 2 weeks had elapsed since my installation. No response. Then on July 14, I sent a second request to the same 3 (marketing, customer service, & the store manager) with the manager's response: "once the appliances are installed, we do not offer price adjustments". We're really happy with all the advice we received, and the extended warranties. A big shout out to Aziz, who very patiently helped us find a refrigerator to fit a non-standardized space when our original model was discontinued. I had no idea this company existed. Once I did, I took their ad to Best (or worst) Buy, Lowe's, Home Depot or any other big box place who "price matches." What a waste of my time. Not only would they not honor this price, they attempted to say there was no warranty, they had poor customer service, and most of all, they were a bait-switch company. What liars. I worked with Barry and he was so easy and I had the warranty I wanted, at an incredible price, no sales tax and no delivery fees. I'll never return to the others when I need appliances. I am extremely unhappy with the customer service for a few reasons. You get put on hold forever and then when you do get a representative they are short and curt. Also, don't cancel an order because you will only get store credit. For an 'upscale' appliance company they take advantage of their customers. Financially I was unable to go ahead with my kitchen remodel. I had to cancel my order (which was never officially submitted, just on hold, or delivered) and I can STILL only get store credit. If I am not getting a kitchen, what am I supposed to use the store credit for? This is not acceptable. I'm very disappointed. read more

We recently remodeled our kitchen and updated all our appliances. Plesser's had great selection and options for all appliances. We worked with Eric, who was very knowledgeable and more importantly patient. It was stress free working with Eric as he did not do the usual salesman push on everything expensive. More importantly he was very responsive to calls and text messages and always followed up on our order in a timely fashion. After selection of the appliances, we need not worry about the cost as they guaranteed price match if we found the same appliance cheaper at a different place. The appliances were delivered on the day we agreed. The range was damaged during delivery and the delivery person himself requested a replacement. We were so pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We were warmly greeted by James Esposito who helped and guided us through the whole experience. He listened to what we wanted and showed us online what was available instead of just showing us the more upscale features and trying to sell us those. Thieves !!!!! Wanted an additional $ 250 to remove old dishwasher and install new one. Their price was now $ 225 higher than next lowest price which included full installation and removal of old unit. I cancelled delivery. Now without a word they took a 25% restocking fee off of my credit card. I saw this on my next credit card statement. Called them and they would not remove unauthorized charge. I called my credit card and they removed the charge. Threw out all of this they were rude and nasty. Left comments with Better Business Bureau. Check what you actually get for the price you pay. And then do not buy at Plessers. What a nightmare read more

Stay away from this place. I ordered 3 appliances from them: an LG range that came broken, an LG microwave that came dented, and a supposedly brand new in the box KitchenAid dishwasher that was delivered 3 hours late, out of the box, dirty and covered with snow. When I called to complain they first told me that it was the packaging that was dirty. When I explained that it was actually the insulation that was dirty and wet, they told me it was my fault for accepting the delivery. Now after trying to use this wet, dirty dishwasher, it makes more noise than the ancient one it replaced. And is vibrating my kitchen like a DJ booth. The installers also left my counter dislodged and pulled away from its original position. I am now unable to push it back. A fitting end to a dismal purchase. I've bought a lot of appliances in my life, and Plesser's is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I'll let American Express handle this purchase fail from here. First I want to say, I don't write reviews unless someone went above and beyond but in this case, I had to let folks know of my terrible experience. I had local family members that used Plessers in the past with no issues, so I was eager to give them a shot, even though we live in California. However, my experience was less than ideal. I originally purchased a Cafe range and dishwasher back in February. I was told upfront that the dishwasher was on backorder 4-6 weeks so they would only charge me partially for the dishwasher since it was not physically in stock and I was good with that and appreciated the good gesture. The next day I saw the same range at Costco (literally the same range) WITH installation for $350 cheaper than Plessers, so I called and asked if they could match this price (mind you, Plessers did not offer installation). At first, they tried to tell me this was not the same range and that they couldn't find the Costco listed price on the website, making me feel like I was trying to scam them, after some back and fourth, they agreed that it was indeed the same. However, they could only offer me $300 off the price and no installation. Hearing this, I declined to purchase the range and opted for Costco. I could tell the sales person was not thrilled of my decision but they agreed to refund me the cost of the range. I then received a credit for less than what I was charged for the range with no explanation! I had to call them yet again to get this squared away and come to find out, they were now charging me the full amount of the dishwasher (even though they told me a deposit was only required) without ever telling me they were doing so. This is significant for a couple reasons, one- anytime someone charges you for something they should be explaining why, I think they were upset that I canceled the range and wanted to stick it to me and two, they have a 72 hr refund policy, otherwise it turns into store credit, being that my unit is backordered, I am stuck with this purchase. Fast Forward 8 weeks and I reach out again, saying where is this dishwasher.... I was told it was on the manufacture, and covid delays... they have no information....(instead of $400 deposit I now have $1400 tied up in this mess). I reach out again after 11 weeks....Told the same story (Mind you Costco had delivered and installed my range 2 weeks after I purchased).... 2 days later I get an email from Plessers stating that they have had major warehouse delays and that my order will be shipping in the next couple days (so in reality, it was not on the manufacturer it was sitting in Plessers warehouse for as far as I know, weeks! 15 WEEKS after I ordered this dishwasher, it finally shows up (Yes it took almost 4 weeks from when they said it would ship to when it actually showed up!!! Ridiculous!!) Oh it gets better. I paid extra for un-crating and inspecting of the dishwasher (gold service, Plessers didn't offer installation) yet the delivery company said I had not paid for that and dropped off the dishwasher as is, WHY did I pay extra? I open up the box and its broken inside, jets were snapped off.... Why am I not shocked at this point. I have written to Plessers to let them know of my frustration and experience, but I get the sense that this happens often because aside from we are sorry that you had a broken piece, they have said nothing about the way they have handled my order. Safe to say this was the last and only time I will use them. I'd like to think I just had a terrible experience, but I am sure I am not the only one. read more

We just received a notification that one of the appliances is no longer available. I searched the internet on who may have one in stock. I called Plesser's and couldn't believe they had one. I spoke to a super nice guy named Daran. He was very helpful and excited for me that they had one in stock. What a great experience I had appliance shopping at Plessers today! I drove 1:20 mins from Manhattan and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. The prices are wonderfully discounted and the service is great (thx, Emily!). I was able to order a refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave drawer that was completely sold out at places like Best Buy, Lowes, Costco and Home Depot. Items were shipped quickly & delivered very professionally. I had an issue with the washer a month before it was 1 year old & I called the manufacturer instead of Plesser's & it took forever to get my washer repaired. After waiting 3 months of back-n-forth on whether they would send me new one because the parts that were sent didn't work properly, I decided to give Plesser's a call. I initially was very happy with my salesperson at Plessers. However, we purchased a cooktop that was well over $1000 and it was delivered damaged. It has been 4 weeks and it is still Not resolved. We have made several attempts with Plessers and direct through Frigidare and they truly don't care about the customer once they get your money. Wr have other appliances to buy but will go elsewhere. We started a kitchen remodel late last year and decided on the refrigerator/freezer that we wanted to buy. I had some extra time so decided to shop around for a while and see if there were any holiday sales. After New Years passed I started having trouble finding the exact appliances I wanted at which point I learned that the manufacturer discontinued our model and rolled out a newer, more expensive refrigerator that had Wifi. I didn't feel I needed Wifi and didn't want to pay the money so I searched around to see if anyone had the 2019 model. That's how I came across Plessers. We worked with John and he was AMAZING! He had one refrigerator and one freezer of our model in his warehouse and said he'd hold it for us as long as we put down a deposit. I really didn't want to take receipt of the appliances right away because I had nowhere to store them so this sounded GREAT. We also then added some other appliances to our order (again with great prices) and let them know an approximate timeframe when we would need them. Plessers was AWESOME at following up with us and communicating all details by email. We got detailed receipts with pricing, warranty info, etc. And, when the time came close to the delivery timeframe I originally estimated they called to check in on our progress to see if they should ship yet. Proactively! I was so impressed! One of our appliances ended up a bit delayed and they stayed on top of things and made sure this got to us as fast as possible in a separate shipment. We had a great experience with this company. And, the fact that there was free shipping and no tax (as we are out of state) was an extra bonus. Plessers notified me of my upcoming delivery of a refrigerator and warned me to unwrap all the packaging and inspect BEFORE signing/accepting it at my home. Stupid me - I just looked at the exterior of the packaging and it looked good, so I signed because the delivery guys were in a hurry. To my horror, when I unpacked it later, I found it had been crushed - front freezer drawer was bent badly and back panel was smashed in. I contacted Plessers right away and sent photos of the damage. I was worried that it was too late or that I would get stuck paying to repair the damage. I was so happy to have Frances helping me throughout the process of getting a repairman out to inspect the damage, order the parts, and restore the fridge to factory condition. I was in need of all new appliances for my kitchen makeover. I had done a lot of research on various appliance brands. I had also done some shopping around at other appliance stores, and discovered some availability issues (which resulted in other salespeople steering us away from the brand we preferred). To shop local, I went to Plesser's and was very happy to have Lyndsey Coughlin as my salesperson! She was extremely personable, knowledgeable, attentive and enjoyable to work with! When she wasn't certain of something, she took the time to look it up, and she was great at following up with getting me the information. I also appreciated Plesser's agreeing to accommodate our need of having our appliances delivered to our nearby storage unit, with an agreement that they will return to deliver to our home when the kitchen work is ready for them. read more

When I couldn't get any resolution with the warranty company for my refrigerator, I turned to Plesser's and was connected with Casmir Ashimole. Casmir was responsive and knew how to get me the result that I wanted. With his help and his persistence, I was totally satisfied with the result. We ordered a Samsung hood and it came in October but our construction did not start til December. When our contractor took the item out of the box it was damaged with a dent in it that looks like caused by a fork lift in transporting. I called on 1/2 to report it as soon as I was aware, took pictures as requested and followed up with several emails and phone calls. All they have done thus far is assign it a complaint ticket # of TT1460 on 1/4. We have our contractor waiting to finish our kitchen soon and have not received any follow-up as to next steps. Plessers has them in stock and can easily ship a new one and we can return the damaged one. Communication to resolve when time is off the essence is not good. 1/8 Today I received an email stating that they could do nothing for me and I am out now $750 with no hood. Buyer beware they do not care about their customers and bringing resolution to products being damaged in warehouse or shipping. Do not buy from this company even if the price looks good. read more

Update: it's 6/2/2019 and the fridge is still out for delivery with AM Home Delivery. The data on their site appears to take 5-6 days to update, its not real-time. While it might be a deal to buy from Pleasers you may want to reconsider if urgency is an issue. I was told delivery would probably be 5-7 days, but Plessers took about 5 days just to get it on the truck. Will probably drop a star on my next update. read more

Our sales rep was Mr. Mohammad Aziz and he was attentive from the 1st moment and asked what we were looking for and I told him the what that was & most importantly our price range. He didn't waste anytime trying to up sell us and showed us the best models and options for what we were looking for. He answered all of our questions and checked into price / sales options for us. We did purchase the dishwasher and everything was done and signed for within an hour or less. Customer service is horrid. No one answers the phone and when they do they are short with answers and very rude cutting you off as you speak. This was the case with a few of the staff so maybe they are trained to be rude. Purchased the appliance online and yes it did come quickly in just a few days but the delivery team was just as rude. This is all based on an appliance with no issues, just a purchase so I hope I wont need them again. I can only imagine how that would go. read more
