First of all, this review is about Plessers and their shipping company that they used. After ordering our appliances at the beginning of August, we were told we would have them in hand by the end of the month. As we approached the end of the month, we were told that one of the appliances would be delayed so they would split-ship them so we weren't waiting for everything to arrive. After we got into September, I was finally given a delivery date from the 3rd party shipper who said they had received the appliances. On the day before the confirmed delivery, I was told that the 3rd party shipper in fact did not have the appliances and could not tell me where they were. When I tried to contact Plessers, I was told that the shipper must be wrong and that I needed to wait for them to figure out what was going on. At this point we were in mid-September so I told Plessers I wanted to cancel my order. I wasn't getting any information from them and was also notified that the appliance that was initially delayed would be again until October. My cancelation request didn't sound as if it was being taken seriously so I filed a chargeback with my credit card company. After filing this chargeback, I was finally told that they could give me a discount if I still accepted the appliances. Given the delays and the uncertainty around delivery, we eventually decided to cancel the order since another appliance had been delayed. Plessers agreed to not fight the dispute and to let the appliances be returned from WA to NY. After all of this took place, to my surprise the appliances were still delivered. Sounds like an awesome win right? NO! This was while I wasn't home, I had workers doing some things around the house and they decided to drop the appliances in my garage without permission. I got a phone call from the 3rd party shippers saying that they needed my signature before they could leave. I told them that the appliances were part of a canceled order but I was told since they were a subcontractor of the shipping company that they couldn't take the appliances back without their permission. I called Plessers and let them know what was happening so they could come pickup their appliances. I was then harassed by the 3rd party company about when they could come back, basically telling me when they would show up at my house even though I told them I wouldn't be available. This happened multiple times to the point where I had to escalate to their supervisors to get them to leave me alone while I tried to find time for them to come pickup their appliances after their mistake. Long story short, I was finally compensated for my time in order for them to pickup their appliances. I thought about keeping the appliances since I already had my money back, but I literally wanted nothing to do with Plessers or A1 distribution at this point. Oh and by the way all of this wasn't actually resolved until October. Thanks for causing over a month delay in the timeline of my project! BUYER BEWARE! Pricing may be good but think twice about the headache of this. I went local and couldn't be happier even if it ended up costing a bit more in the end. read more

I purchased a suite of appliances from Plessers and was very pleased. No one else could do better on the the price or even meet the price Plessers quoted me. When the refrigerator came, there was a ding in the freezer door. I called Plessers and spoke to Nyra Guest who was more than diligent in doing her job. She stayed on top of getting the manufacturer to replace the freezer door and keep me appraised of what was happening until it was completely finished. I only hope Plessers knows how lucky they are to have an employee like Nyra Guest. Everyone I worked with at Plessers in Babylon went over and beyond. I recently upgraded my kitchen appliances and Washer/ Dryer with Plessers and spent $7000. I had a terrible experience with delivery and installation of the Washer and Dryer. They left the boxes/garbage on my lawn and argued with us telling us that our old washer should have been disconnected and we had previously confirmed with our sales person that it did not need to be. The dryer was filthy, took half a bottle of goo gone and a few magic erasers to clean. Also, we paid for a new cord for our dryer and they just installed the old cord (it was over 15 years old), We have always worked with Lowe's in the past and when we paid for a delivery and installation, they never left garbage on the front lawn for us to dispose of like Plessers did. I called the Babylon Showroom to complain and spoke to Pete. He was very dismissive and told me to call customer service. He defended the actions of the delivery men, stating that it is their policy to leave the garbage behind and not disconnect Washers for liability reasons. I will never shop at Plessers again and plan to share my experience with all of our neighbors who are upgrading their homes. read more

We needed to replace our fridge, so I searched online for the new model we wanted to buy and found a sea of online appliance stores out there with great prices. However, I had trouble finding a store that didn't have tons of consumer complaints about late deliveries, broken merchandise, poor service, and so on. And then I found Plessers! Excellent consumer ratings and reviews on Google...could it really be true that there is a great online appliance store out there? I decided to put in my order, but needed to call to get more information on delivery. The sales rep, Barry, was awesome! He gave me the availability and delivery info right away, and told me he would personally take my order on the phone (rather than website) since there were only 2 units left in stock and he wanted to make sure he could reserve one for me. He processed my order quickly and easily and gave me all the info I needed on delivery and other details. We're looking forward to receiving our new fridge! I thought it was going to be a great experience. 4 weeks later I call and e-mail to find out where the fridge is. They call back my mother instead to let her know they don't carry that color. I went to the showroom with my husband at the Babylon office and was please with the service and we ended up buying an AC-Wall unit with installation. We were told that the installation will be schedules in between 5-7 days. Well, I received the call today, and the installation will take would not be until 11 days. Nothing they can do. Apparently the Sales service person lied to us, because the service rep said that the installation scheduled is set for 7-10 days. Nice lie! and even so, it still longer because i would take 11 days. Not happy with this. I called the rep Eric and emailed him and did not get a response from him. Not happy! although it is a great store, I will take my business somewhere else next time. read more

I bought a Frigidaire gas range oct. 19 2021 it hasn't worked right from the beginning. Now the oven hasn't worked for 13 days, and when it did work it took twice as long to cook something in the oven! We had somebody over to fix the range that plessers recommended. They told us we had roaches and that was the reason they couldn't fix my oven. We had a Frigidaire range for 15 years prior with no problems. We went back to pc Richards when we had to buy a washing machine, to hell with plessers Richard is reliable! read more

I purchased a brand new KitchenAid slide in range approx $4K!! The day it arrived I noticed the installers testing the gas burners. When they left I thought everything was ok however one of the burners would intermittently turn on, well more off then on! I called Plessers and they said they would have to send out a tech to fix it. Brand NEW range 1 day old $4K!! I guess three times a charm for repair because the 1st visit no part, 2nd visit more parts needed. Well 3rd visit tech didn't show because the part was on back order but Plessers never called and i took the day off from work! They are great when selling you an appliance sales people couldn't be better but when it becomes yours hummm.....no one gives a @$. I would never buy from this business again no customer support and I'm remodeling my kitchen. Need Refrigerator, microwave, ice-machine, ect. read more

You get what you pay for. Keep your fingers crossed if you buy from Plessers. Great prices, but poor customer service. I purchased an entire kitchen suite based on the low prices. The refrigerator was delivered in non working order. The replacement took over 3 weeks to arrive and the manufacturer stated that the delay was due to my purchase over the internet. They said if I purchased from a store I would have received the replacement imediately from the store's stock. Plessers bugged me to buy extended warranties at a cost of $850. Based on my experience with the refrigerator I purchased the warranties and my credit card was instantly charged. After waiting for two months with no receipt and no warranties from Plessers I contacted them and was told that I takes them several months to fill out the paper work. I left a voicemail with my salesman that I was concerned and they cancelled the order for the warranties without a call back. read more

I can't think of a reason to recommend Shipping time: 61 days from order to arrival. Promised shipping time: 2-4 weeks. Plessers as in internet-based sales company. I bought a fridge from them in November. The order indicated it would be shipped within 2 weeks and delivered within 4 weeks. They never indicated the item was actually on backorder during the purchase experience. Customer Service: Calls 2, 4 and 6 weeks out, their customer service told me each time that they had experienced a delay from their manufacturer and expected it to arrive at their warehouse in 2 weeks. On the 6th week out call I asked to cancel the never to arrive order. The next day I received the following email from them, "We received your refrigerator in sooner than expected and we held off canceling the order. " Exhaustion with the process led me to let them go ahead and reinstate the order and the fact that it was still the best price for the specific fridge I wanted. This time the fridge almost arrived within the new promised delivery date 8 business days (promised 5-7). Delivery: via their standard delivery service AM Home Delivery. I got a call from them for a next day, weekday 11-3pm delivery window. Mercifully I work close to my home and they were willing to call when ready to deliver and my work was willing to give me flexible lunch hours. They did call and that part actually worked out ok. Gold Delivery: When I originally bought it I added the $150 Gold Delivery service which sounded like they'd set it up for you. My $150 actually only got me them rolling it the roughly 30 feet from the curb to my kitchen which is at ground level and I could have easily done myself. I thought they'd take the old fridge away for that, but apparenly that was even more expensive and I misread that part. Oh they took it out of the box, too. After the fact: I bought my fridge on their "sale of the year" day and looking now over two months later I find that the price I paid is the same price I would get at my local Sears and another local store. The local store also offers to take away the debris and has a small $25 old fridge disposal fee. The only upside is that I bought out of state and missed the tax on it, thus "saving" me $130. Since the old fridge still worked, I was able to get someone to take it for free on Craigslist, but what a hassle. read more

My husband found Plessers online. We live in California and they offered the best deals, no tax and free shipping, and good warranty packages for the items. We ordered a range, fridge, dishwasher and vent. Today is 11/7/14 and we finally received everything after ordering 9/18/14. So yes, there was a huge delay. We ran into many issues during shipping too, it really wasn't Plessers fault, it was really the shipping companies fault, e.g. range had a dent on the oven door, fridge got put on a wrong trailer and that caused more of a delay, And then my vent was not available so then that was delayed too. My Plessers contacts really tried there best to help re-locate my fridge and send me new parts. I was in constant contact with them everyday. But even when I got sent a new part, the manufacturer then created an incorrect label and sent me someone else's item instead. And as of now, I am still waiting for a new oven door which Plessers is still helping me with getting. All and all, it will be a delay and the shipping company they use, AM HOME DELIVERY, was definitely not in a rush. They will give you a hard time about taking stuff up to your house too! My appliances look good so far, except for my dented oven door which I am still waiting for. I hope they all work well. Beware of their warranty deal. My wife and I bought a refrigerator and dishwasher from Plessers 5 years ago and purchased the 5 year warranty at the that time. The deal was that if you do not use the warranty, after 5 years you would be refunded half the cost - Not a bad deal. What we did not realize until it was too late is that you only have a one month window to claim the refund. When my wife called the store we were told there was nothing they could do about it. I find that hard to believe. I'm not sure why this process can't be automated instead of putting the ownness on the customer. Well actually I do know, so that they can say: sorry, its been more than a month. I have already bought my new Weber Genesis II s-435 from another company and will be purchasing our new oven, microwave and toaster oven from that same company as well. read more

Talked to Jennifer. I was looking to purchase a refrigerator around memorial day and everyone had a sale. She quoted me less than Home Depot so I bought from them. A week later I get a call, Jennifer says the delivery company needs an extra 30.00 to deliver to me. I agree to let her charge an extra 30. I get an email the next days saying it will now be an additional 291.00 for delivery. This is on top of the original 80 and 30! I have never had a company invoice me, charge my card and then a week later ask for more money than what was agreed on. She points out in the email that they are still way less than home depot. Of course, now that all of the sales are over! This felt very bait and switch to me. I asked for a refund which took another five days and me calling back to finally get handled. He didn't try to pressure me on anything (like some sales people do) and was very straight forward and honest with his knowledge of all the appliances. I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of, as the prices I were given were the lowest prices around. And trust me, I checked everywhere. Throughout the process I had called him many times for additional questions that I forgot to ask and I never felt like I was a bother to him. And all of my questions were always answered. Not only that but the fact that if we are not ready for our purchases to be shipped, they hold them in the warehouse until we are ready. Which is extremely helpful when you're building a house. The new appliance coming from the manufacturer would be returned to the distributor for credit which they would then pass on to Plesser's and then on to me which I then applied to the purchase of a brand new machine from a different manufacturer. I was very pleased that Alan stepped in to handle this. He truly seems to care about the reputation of the company. He reads the reviews, is objective and reasonable about the issue, and then is willing to make things right if they should be made right. I ordered a GE electric cooktop and Viking downdraft because my old cooktop only had 1 working burner. The sales rep John D. assured me it would be shipped within 2 weeks. I have kids at home an need to be able to cook food especially since we were in the middle of the COVID crisis. After not hearing anything for 2 weeks, I called and emailed John and he never returned my calls. I finally got through to customer service and was told that the downdraft was on backorder which is understandable considering the pandemic. What isn't is the lack of communication and professionalism. After being transferred around, I suggested getting the cooktop shipped out because I desperately needed that and then ship out the downdraft when it came in which they agreed to. A week and a half later and still nothing. When I call back in, they give my some bs excuse about the warehouse breaking the cooktop and that they have to send me another on the following week. This week I was told that the shipment in it's entirety was shipped out. I still haven't received a tracking number or the shipment. I went with your company based on the reviews that you have gotten but the customer service and lack of integrity with Plesser's employees made sure that I will NEVER do business with you again. Eric Cullen is the biggest liar in that company. I over paid for a fridge that cost 500$ I paid over 900 for the installers to just plug it in. And I told Eric I needed a waterline hooked up and installed and he told me that they did that. I paid 125$ for them to install an ice maker. Now I have to pay extra for a plumber to come in and install a waterline. Eric took advantage of me I will never shop at plessers and I will tell everyone I know not to shop there either. Went to plessers in Babylon. Purchased all kitchen appliances. When giving our sales rep the measurements of the dimension for the refrigerator. he never mentioned that the one he sold us would be sticking out 10 inch. He was concerned about the height but never mentioned that. Soooo , we get our appliances and do not like how much it is sticking out. Go back to store to see our options. We got a standard French door refrigerator. They charged us a restocking fee and another installation fee. When I called and asked if there was anything they can do with this additional 990 we were charged. The store manager told us there was nothing he can do. So now we paid 4k for a standard French refrigerator. Its absolutely ridiculous. If the salesman would have told us this in the first place we wouldn't of ordered the refrigerator. read more

If I could give Zero stars, I would. We ordered all new kitchen appliances in August. There was no indication that the items we ordered would not be available within the timing initially communicated in the order confirmation. As time passed there was an update on the online order status refining the date with an actual date range (still within the original timeframe). When that date arrived, there was an update moving the date out two more weeks. When I submitted a support ticket, they informed me that some of the items were available but not all. They offered to ship the available items and the remaining items when available. I agreed to this option immediately. It took an entire week before there was a shipping notice. When I viewed the tracking information, it initially provided an expected delivery date in 2 weeks. Then after a week, the expected delivery date range was a week later (now 3 weeks)... Realize that it is only 10 hours drive from our home. Today I asked for an update on the still delayed appliances because there was an update to the expected date. The reply I received was that these appliances are not expected to be available until November. Communication and customer service has been unacceptable. It is standard practice to inform the customer of order delays and give them options on how to proceed. That has not occurred. Every status update we received seemed to indicate that everything was "on schedule" until that date actually arrived. Then it was pushed out 2 more weeks. How can you do business this way? I got a call last night from the delivery co. telling me that my 'window' was between 7:30-8:30 a.m. They were here promptly at 7:30. The delivery guys, Kyle and Shawn were great...very careful to not nick the woodwork or moldings. My sales associate Jennifer was great. Very accommodating and pleasant. The experience afterwards has been awful though. I purchased a fridge on May 15th with a 3-4 business day turnaround. So it was supposed to come the week before Memorial Day. Now one called me all week and then end of day Saturday I get a call that it will come by the 28th. Quite annoying and a little inconvenient that I would now have spoiled refrigerated goods and have to get takeout for multiple days but I let that go. Now come the 27th and the delivery people show up and tell me whoops your fridge is not on our truck right now. The depot will call you immediately and let you know when it will be out. I'm expecting this is something they will fix quickly. Now one calls me so I call them that night. They try to tell me oh sorry we only come out once a week so your going to have to wait till next week sometime. Completely unacceptable. You make an error twice and tell me oh it will probably come out sometime next week. So 3 weeks without a refrigerator and having to purchase a mini fridge. Now one from the delivery team to customer service really seems to care unfortunately. I don't see how I would ever purchase from them again at the moment and they have a supposed good name with people where im from. *update* Fridge shows up on 29th and only one guy on the truck. Fridge weighs 400 lbs. Tells me he will put it in my garage and someone will come in a week to bring inside unless I help. So I have to help the delivery guy who were paying for to deliver my fridge and we needed to unbox and install the fridge. Not the delivery guys fault he was by himself but wow the third party delivery service Plessers uses is awful. Does not seem like they really care either way. Disappointed. read more

I couldn't believe that a store in Long Island, NY could deliver and save me more money than local stores. Anyone who I spoke with, including the owner, assured me that my appliances would be delivered when promised. Every member of the Plesser's team was knowledgable, professional, and personable. They pointed out appliances which fit my needs and my budget. I never felt rushed or pushed into making a decision that would be in my kitchen for years to come. My only hesitation in doing business outside of my local area was the time constraints I had. I needed this shipped ASAP. I asked for delivery to my door in 10 days. When I received a phone call that my order would be here on day 9,, I was thrilled. We recently purchased about $16,000 in kitchen and laundry appliances.  We contracted with Plessers to have the refrigerator and freezer installed.  A large portion of the job consisted of putting together a stainless steel trim kit which surrounds both units.  Unfortunately the job was never completed.  Techs came to install the trim kit but we did not have the units emptied ahead of time; no one told us that was necessary.  They told us to reschedule; but their attitudes implied they were not too familiar with this; better luck with the next crew.  Despite several attempts to reschedule a new appointment none came to fruition.  We deduced that the installers didn't want to return to our home because we challenged their skills and they were not well versed with this job.  In the end, we were lucky enough to have our contractor install components including the wheel assemblies and strapping but he still was unable to install the stainless moulding.   Plessers insisted we had the right kit but through further investigation we learned Plessers never provided the kit specs to the cabinet maker and therefore the space made for the fridge and freezer was too narrow.  Plessers ignored our calls for further assistance and would not reschedule a new appointment.  They knew they were unable to finish this job and sadly left us hanging to this day.  Extremely disappointed! read more

The extended warranty is BS. 10 Year Major Parts only doesnt cover anything useful. Drain Pump Died in 18 Months and neither Plessers or samsung cover it. We are disappointed in the drain pump stopping leaving us without a washer for a week. I called Samsung at we are past the warranty period so they will not even pay for the part. Amazing that with our old Kenmore for half the price it lasted 10 years before a problem and this one not even two years in. read more

If you've shopped for appliances, you know the process pretty much sucks. Many reviews totally contradict others. I made my selection and found Plesser's. We live in San Diego but I grew up within 10 miles on Plesser's on L.I. They offered the best products and prices. Free delivery, no tax. Within two weeks my front load LG washer and dryer arrived. The rear panel on the washer had several dents in it. In my assessment, no big deal. No body would ever see the back and I determined there would be no impact on its function. I installed the appliances myself (After buying a power cord for the dryer. Apparently, factories never include these.). Everything worked perfectly. My clothes were so much cleaner...completely noticeable. We were delighted customers. Unexpectedly, Plesser's customer service called and said they saw the damage notation on the delivery documentation. They were calling to offer me a financial concession as a thank you for accepting the damaged washer! I was completely blown away. What great customer service. I accepted their generous offer. This year I returned to Plesser's for a new refrigerator. After another exhausted series of Google searches, I decided on a GE product. This year I was helped by Jennifer O'Brien. She was excellent, returning my call after 10PM EST. What a trooper! Plessers has the rare combination of excellent product selection, excellent prices and excellent customer service. Yes, I could buy the same product from a big box store or Costco. But why would I. Plesser's never disappoints!! read more

The store on the East End has probably the worst customer service out there and that is saying a lot. The staff is rude beyond belief and very dismissive to women. The pricing was decent and the delivery schedule wasn't bad but it is the people in the store that really need to get over themselves. Tried calling them about an order and no one bothered to pick up the phone for several hours. I decided to go to the store and speak with my salesperson and as I just said, he was rude and dismissive. While local businesses need our help, they need to help themselves as well. Plesser's sales associate were great and super helpful, but the shipping company they selected...AM trucking was horrible. My time window for shipment was 4pm-8pm. They didn't arrived until 11 pm. My family including my children were asleep at 10 pm. No calls to update me on the delay whatsoever. For a delivery to a residential area, the receiving time was uncalled for. Plesser's please don't contract with this company..hence I gave 3 stars. read more
