Plessers promised our new refrigerator and did not deliver until a week later. We lost food due to spoilage as they did not let us know until the last minute. They were glib and unapologetic Too bad for us! We should have purchased from a larger chain that backs up its promises! read more

Very dissappointed with the handling of my purchase of a Napoleon Prestige Grill. Internet Sales Manager Eugene Coughlin just blew me off after the sale and referred me to customer service. The Delivery was made on Friday April 9th, 2021 at which time grill was delivered by an excellent delivery service and placed grill on my backyard deck. The issues I have are simple, the grill came without the original owners manual and original assembly manual, luckily I had pressures assemble the grill. The 1300.00 grill was shipped to me without the cover which was included in sale and apparently on back order until 05/01-05/15/2021. How ridiculous to ship an expensive grill without a cover or the manuals on the operation of the grill. Customer service rep. Andrew Cherry tried to help and sent me a photo copy of the owners manual. I would like the original owners manual and assembly manual and clip to secure the propane hose, not to much to ask for purchasing a 1300.00 grill. In opinion, buyer beware. Have not received appliance after 3 months with excuse after excuse. The deposit was given.. then told it was ready to ship and amount in full charged to card. No further info and had to keep calling with excuse after excuse and Plesser's refused to give delivery contact info. In opinion create narrative to intimidate customer who paid for an appliance not received. The customer service rep takes no accountability and did not have a manager follow up with us as requested and took no accountability for delays, misrepresentation, or hurting a family. A family in need has to go without for something needed and paid for. In opinion, buyer beware. Very difficult to deal with out of state company with out of state delivery company. So far, so great. I haven't taken delivery yet because my kitchen is still being renovated, but I was really pleased with the purchase process. I had done my homework prior to finding Plessers and had settled on an LG gas range and a Whirlpool refrigerator. The Whirlpool mainly because the LG fridge was more than I wanted to spend. We went into the Babylon store and met Peter. We told him what we were looking for and he was able to provide the best prices we had come across in our research. So good, in fact, that we were able to get the LG refrigerator that I had assumed was out of our budget. As we are deliberate buyers, we returned the next day for the purchase. Peter was engaged, but Eric stepped right in to seamlessly complete our transaction. With the great prices, we were still able to procure interest free financing as well. I strongly recommend Plessers at this point. I will update after we take delivery. read more

Purchased a dishwasher on the plesser's site, item description showed "in stock" and "ready to ship". A week later - followed up with the customer service, received a response stating that the item will be shipped by late next week. Followed up in 2 week - received another response stating that the unit will be shipped once "manufacturer provides us with the unit". When asked why web site misleads about "in stock" and "ready to ship" - did not get any explanation. Over month and a half since the order was placed for the item that showed "in stock/ready to ship", still have not received the unit. Did get an email with tracking details where "ship date" shows 10 days in the past, with arrival date between March 24 and March 31. No sure what is the purpose for misleading about availability of the items and why it takes forever to get the item delivered once shipped (at least according to the information provided). read more

He was very knowledgeable and helped us to make the best and most cost effective decision for product features and cost. Comparing Wolf vs Lynx built-in grills. This is the best place for appliances. Barry Dubin who helped purchase my Bosch dishwasher and and GE Washer/Dryer is not only knowledgeable but also a pleasure to deal with. Not only do they price match, delivery is usually a week or less. Barry is thorough, knows his stuff and is both well informed and a real nice person. I couldn't be happier dealing with Plessers. Places like Home Dept, Loews, AJ Madison make buying from them a hassle: they all have delivery charges, one usually has to wait a few weeks for delivery and they add on extras (high installation fees, an extra part, etc). Plessers delivers quickly and they do great installation. PC Richards, on their invoices says 'that it could take up to 8 weeks to deliver'. Joe the installer was terrific. The washer drain hose wasn't long enough. He went to the hardware store to by what was needed and refused to take payment for it. Patrick from the shipping department is great. He's calm and follows through with updates. From Barry, the online manager, to Joe who did the installation, to Patrick and the entire shipment department and everyone else at Plessers Thank you for all your help and support. Was out right lied to by multiple employees!! Was told that the decision to replace my appliance that arrived damaged was escalated to "Mr. Plesser". Come to find out there is not a Mr. Plesser at the company (perhaps decades ago but not now)!! I called and emailed multiple times for a follow up, and was even told that Mr. Plesser is out with Covid. Wow, not only do they make up names but they also throw Covid into the works! I have since sent emails to the current owners, Marc and Al Howard advising them of my situation and how their employees not only have lied to me but that I am not getting any assistance in replacement of a damaged appliance. I have not received one reply from either. I highly recommend that you stay far away from this company. We spent ten thousand dollars in appliances and this is the treatment we get! No thank you!! We ordered a Frigidaire Black stainless fridge back october 2017, it cam with a blemish on the lower door. The installer tried to remove the blemish and not of his fault wound up making it worse. Plessers customer service has sent 4 doors direct from Frigidaire and the first three were all damaged ( Frigidaire's fault). Finally after 2 months we seem to have a good one, just waiting for it to be installed. Thanks to Plessers customer service persistence ( Laury) I believe we'll finally have this settled. read more

Their(AM Home Delivery) customer service was rude and the phone wait time is atrocious. I understand Covid-19 issues but 45 minutes on hold is unacceptable. When I ordered my refrigerator, I specifically asked about shipping timeframes. I was given a standard company response of "4-5 business days after release date, which should be in a couple days". Well, I received notice on July 9th that my shipment was released. After 5 business days, I had not heard anything, so called. It took a lot of diligence to get through, but found that the "company line" was inaccurate because of COVID. When I went to the shipping company to seek out an estimated delivery date, I found it would be another 2+ weeks. This is terrible. We just bought a high-end range, microwave, and dishwasher. Plessers had the best prices and was able to get the price down lower than others said they could. Very helpful and responsive. The only issue was the delivery took a litlle longer than was promised but that's usually the case when buying big items on line. Also, the range came without the brand emblem on the front. It's a high-end range so that was important to us. I contacted customer service at Plessers and they had an emblem out to me very quickly. I would order from them again. read more

We saved $4000 dollars and had free in-home delivery. customer service is amazing! From ordering to follow up, their customer service is amazing! I have gone to Plessers several times over the years to purchase appliances. I find their sales people to be knowledgeable, low pressure, and very pleasant. They readily look to find you deals, low prices, and let you know about rebates. Your time means nothing to them. Ordered a washer/dryer with stacking kit on Feb 11th. Spoke to a sales representative on Feb 14th who went over all the details of the order including correcting a ship to address (their system messed up the address - I have a screen shot showing I entered it correctly). Now its a month later and Plessers is telling me that they are shipping the appliance now, but the stacking kit is not being shipped to them until next week, so it'll be a couple weeks more weeks before I receive it. Delivery address was STILL wrong even though the Plessers sales representative said he corrected it. I now have spent too much time speaking to this company's employees (placed on hold for a total of 15 minutes) and I still do not have a washer/dryer. Never Again! read more

After several calls with promises to get back to me I went to another appliance store and bought them Also when I purchased they sold me on a gold star delivery for $250 extra, the delivery assistant was rude and we had words before the truck was even unloaded. Also when I ordered they said to pay the $250 extra because it would be refunded via a rebate. The rebate given was expired so that was not true. If just for the delivery and rebate I would have just excused it, but the handles and 3 calls were the straw that broke the camel's back. read more

In May I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer from the Southampton branch of Plessers. Samsung have entirely touch pad controls. After one week the touch pad on the washer stopped working, I was unable to adjust the water temp. The sales man I purchased it from just shrugged when I told him the problem, and then I learned that Samsung DOES NOT service the area I live in (the East End of LI ). WHY was I NOT told this when I bought Samsung brand?! It then took almost 4 months to straighten this out. The sales man, Rob, in Plessers Southampton branch was totally unhelpful, he offered no help with the problem. I ended up dealing with Samsung directly which was a long drawn out process. With me calling and emailing them for two months. Samsung finally agreed to credit Plessers for the defective washer so I could replace it. There was never any possibility of having the washer repaired. I chose a GE washer because GE does service this area. The replacement was finally facilitated by Laury in the Babylon office of Plessers. She was very helpful and responsive. If it weren't for her I don't think I would have gotten a fully functioning washer. Unfortunately I now have a mismatched laundry pair (Samsung dryer, GE washer). And I really preferred the Samsung washer to the GE, but I can't see having an appliance that cannot be serviced. In terms of selection and prices Plessers is excellent. But stay away from the Southampton branch. And make sure you ask if your make and model is serviced in the area you live in. read more

I would give this no stars if I could. Absolutely the worst sales/customer service experience. I required delivery 1 week from order and needed smaller scale appliances than my local company stocks. Spoke and emailed with my sales rep (who I am not allowed to name) repeatedly reiterating my timeframe and was told that the shipment would go out on Monday (order placed on Friday) and should arrive by Thursday, Friday at the latest. She found in-stock appliances to make this happen and I adjusted my specs to match what I could get in time. She even referred to herself as "Awesome (first name of person I'm not allowed to name)" because she was able to make this happen. Nothing arrived Thursday, followed up on Friday and was told that my delivery was on the truck and scheduled to arrive late next week (1 week after promised delivery time). Spoke with customer service who transferred me to my rep, who told me that she would never have promised that and that 2-3 weeks is the minimum. I pulled up all of my emails that we discussed my delivery needs of 7 calendar days or less and she still told me that she never said any of that. Not so awesome after all. So many things that could have been said to handle the situation - telling me that I was wrong when I have everything in writing is not one of them. I will not not be ordering from Plessers ever again and will let my colleagues in the design/build industry know about this. read more

I am giving them 1 star for their TERRIBLE customer service and delivery. I would gladly pay more for my appliances to be treated respectfully and polietly. The delivery drivers left my items curbside and after I sent a polite email to Plessers explaining that my receipt indicated porch delivery, they sent the drivers back out without letting me know. I was in the backyard when they arrived amd heard them call me a b!tch and speak badly about me. Being home alone and a woman, I didn't feel comfortable answering the door with such hostility coming from 2 large men jn a Budget rental truck. I let Plessers know and they basically shrugged it of as my fault since because they sent the (angry and hostile) drivers back for proper delivery. This company has extremely bad business practices. Do not order from them. I placed an order for a $3,000 stove. Like the other reviewer, we were sold the extra white glove delivery fee. We wanted the stove, but changed our minds on the special service and asked them to cancel it . Instead of refunding the fee, they decided to charge us again for the full price of the stove. It was declined automatically by the credit card company, thank goodness. Anyways, we were told the order would arrive within 2 weeks. 6 weeks later, nothing! I called to ask where the order was and they said it was on backorder and didn't know when it would come. So with no delivery date in sight, I asked them to cancel the order. Salesperson told me no problem and told me to check the credit card statement in a few days. A week later, I get a shipment confirmation. Of course, I already ordered a new stove from another company. When I called plessers, they said if I refused the shipment, I would get charged 25% restocking fee. I asked if there's anything that could be done now and she told me to take it up with the credit card company. Extremely fraudulent company. Buyer beware!! I made an applicance purchase with plessers couple of months ago, and that was the worst shopping experience I've ever had. First of all, they told me my appliance would arrive in 2-3 weeks, but it took 6 weeks for me to receive the complete order. Secondly, when I was trying to return an unopened package in two weeks after I received the complete order, the customer service gave me a very hard time. When Jessica the customer service manager eventually agreed that I can return, I can never get a hold of her. I would rather go buy the same appliance in stores. We purchased $6,765 of high-end kitchen appliances from Plessers Appliance. The microwave came broken new in the box and the trash compactor came damaged new in the box too. I understand "stuff" happens, but now almost 2 months later...the microwave has been looked at by a repair person but has not been fixed, and the trash compactor has not been looked and nothing is happening regarding resolving the issue! Communication with (Maria Aparicio) the person in charge of resolving these issues is also poor. This is simply my experience with buying from Plessers! If you chose to buy from them you better hope it works out of the box and is not damaged because their follow-up and repair service is horrible. I am very elderly and feel I was coerced into buying my refrigerator with the dishonest 'time' element, ticking clock, attached to get the Black Friday price. I talked to David who told me the discount would end last night. This discount was important to me. Not having transportation until after dark I hesitantly drove to a store to double check the hinge on the top to see if the refrigerator would fit. This trip was a hardship at night , driving in the dark, not close to my home yet when I went online this morning I see the same discount is extended until Friday. I really had 4 days to do this measurement research and feel the store was disingenuous with a 'time element' that didn't expire. . I was still going to buy this refrigerator but it caused me stress and anxiety and has me up, right now, at 3:40 am. I could have been driving in daylight; safe and relaxed about this purchase. Instead, I feel manipulated. I do have 24 hours to think about this purchase and I'm going to cancel it. My son said I was snookered. He purchased a conduction cooktop from them and is ready to purchase other appliances but not from Plessers. The discount is not worth it. read more

I'm writing after a TERRIBLE customer experience with this company. I ordered a high end gas-range from them on March 14th and was told that I would receive the GOLD delivery service(a $90 value) for free with my purchase. On March 24th I received an email saying my range arrived but it was damaged and would have to be re-ordered. On April 4th I called them to inquire about the status of my redeliver. The person I spoke with didn't know and said they would call me back. I also left 2 messages with my sales associate. I didn't hear back from anyone. I called 3 more times before I was able to get an answer that my range would not be delivered until the end of April since it was on back order. Finally, I get an email that my range arrived on Tuesday, April 26th and could be delivered on Thursday. On Wednesday I called to get a delivery time frame but was told it was not available and I would hear from the driver that night at 6-7pm. I never received a call. I didn't get my delivery window until 9am on the DATE OF DELIVERY, I was already at work and nearly canceled the delivery but luckily my girlfriend was able to get home. After the delivery truck arrives I received a call from Plessers saying that wanted another $400 dollars to deliver the appliance into my apt(3 flight walkup). I spoke with the person who offered me the Gold service with my appliance and said that Gold Delivery covered 5 stairs and would not cover my apartment. I told her that Home Depot delivered into my unit for no charge. I asked to speak to managers and was told they would split the difference with me and I ended up paying $200 dollars to avoid having them leave it on my curb in the rain. Long story short. Do not use this company unless you enjoy tearing your hair out. read more

So far I am very displeased with the fulfillment of my order. I placed an online order for a LG refrigerator that was listed as 'in-stock'. I was then contacted to 'confirm' order in less than 24 hours; however that call seemed to be more to solicit additional warranty and service plans. Now, It has been 10 days since order and it still hasn't even shipped and I have now learned they didn't have the item in stock. I can not get an actual fulfillment date, I would think a freight shipment from large appliance manufacture for items worth thousands of dollars would have specific tracking and logistics control, but I get answers like, "it should be tomorrow or next day." I will cancel order and pay a couple of hundred dollars more from a retailer that actually has item stock and delivers it directly. read more

We have recently been victims of the so called tax day floods in Houston Texas. We had just bought the house 2 months prior and it has been destroyed. The journey has been difficult and filled with many obstacles. The most disturbing ,to us , was the lack of care , sympathy and just really basic customer service. Our only shinning light in all this process has been Jennifer from Plesser's Appliance. She has been professional, considerate and very.. VERY patient with us. that in it self is rare these days however we feel she has gone above and beyond to help us out and make it a little easier on us in any way she could. Her employers should be very proud to have her as a representative. As small business owners ourselves, I know we would be. When we were shopping for appliances to replaced our own, we were looking for the best deals we could find and aftera long research we came accross Plesser's and saved us tons of time and money, considering that we had to replace every single appliance in our house, not to mention that this was including top of the line kitchen appliance which we did not have before. Also, best service for home delivery since Jennifer offered us a great deal for the in house delivery to make sure that our appliances were in optimal condition, since we can't install the appliances yet, due to repairs to the house, they unwrap your appliance to check that is free of any scratches and then box them up again so they are taken care of, just this service gives us a pease of mind, not to mention that they were willing to keep our appliance in storage until we are ready for delivery. I am happy to say that I am more than pleased with the customer service from place. We would really recommend anyone and everyone to contact her if you value true customer service. read more

They price items on the web with big discounts and then once you order the item and get a confirmation email stating your order has been received they call and state that their web has malfunctioned and that the price is actually full price. I asked to speak with a manager or someone in charge but no luck. This company commit fraud in advertising and does not care about customer service one bit.
