BEWARE of the tactics of this company. They price items on the web with big discounts and then once you order the item and get a confirmation email stating your order has been received they call and state that their web has malfunctioned and that the price is actually full price. I asked to speak with a manager or someone in charge but no luck. This company commit fraud in advertising and does not care about customer service one bit. We have recently been victims of the so called tax day floods in Houston Texas. We had just bought the house 2 months prior and it has been destroyed. The journey has been difficult and filled with many obstacles. The most disturbing ,to us , was the lack of care , sympathy and just really basic customer service. Our only shinning light in all this process has been Jennifer from Plesser's Appliance. She has been professional, considerate and very.. VERY patient with us. that in it self is rare these days however we feel she has gone above and beyond to help us out and make it a little easier on us in any way she could. Her employers should be very proud to have her as a representative. As small business owners ourselves, I know we would be. When we were shopping for appliances to replaced our own, we were looking for the best deals we could find and aftera long research we came accross Plesser's and saved us tons of time and money, considering that we had to replace every single appliance in our house, not to mention that this was including top of the line kitchen appliance which we did not have before. Also, best service for home delivery since Jennifer offered us a great deal for the in house delivery to make sure that our appliances were in optimal condition, since we can't install the appliances yet, due to repairs to the house, they unwrap your appliance to check that is free of any scratches and then box them up again so they are taken care of, just this service gives us a pease of mind, not to mention that they were willing to keep our appliance in storage until we are ready for delivery. I am happy to say that I am more than pleased with the customer service from place. We would really recommend anyone and everyone to contact her if you value true customer service. read more

Pros: * They have stock for things that are not available at big stores. Cons: * If you are ordering to get something within a timeframe and are in tight schedule (like 2 weeks), don't bother. Don't trust anything that the sales rep say about delivery within a time frame. * If you have already ordered and are trying to expedite shipment - don't bother. They use one of the worst trucking companies - AMTrucking - that is a Blackbox. No information whatsoever on the ETA, and just approximate timelines like - "mid to late next week." In a nutshell, online orders that need to arrive by a timeline will not arrive. Read many other reviews below for similar experiences, but I wish I did this earlier. I have had two bad experiences with plessers. When will I learn? I went to them because they are around the corner from my home on mAin street and I wanted to support "the little guy / the local guy" So very sorry I tried to do the right thing. They beat the best price we could find locally for a new fridge by over $250, which made it ok when we had to wait 2.5 weeks for it to arrive. It was not the 2.5 week wait which was annoying, it was the lack of communication during the first week after purchase which was bothersome. When you spend over a grand on something on the internet it would be nice to have a little more customer contact. read more

I had the pleasant purchase and delivery experience with our new refrigerator. I always do my homework when I buy major appliances; check pricings, ratings, etc. Their pricing was $1,200 less than anybody else on the market. Went to a local Lowe's to see if they could match Plessers pricing and they were laughing at me and told me to order the refrigerator from Plessers. The price was awesome, no shipping, no tax and free 10-year warranty... All true! Got my refrigerator on time. However, the unit had some damage to 3 doors. We found dents, dings and puncture marks that we didn't notice until we had taken off the shipping film that was installed at the factory, so I never saw the damage until the truck left that had delivered the refrigerator to me. I contacted Plesser's customer service to see if they could help us. -Maria Aparicio took charge and got things done for us! We had our new doors shipped and installed with a few weeks. They worked around my schedule as I do travel a lot. I strongly recommend Plessers. Would use them again without reservation. Terrific experience! read more

Plessers is a fantastic store for appliances. We shopped our local, national consumer stores as well as local outlets. After much research and deciding on the LG kitchen appliances, I almost purchased them from Best Buy but decided to look further. After some exhaustive comparison shopping, I came across Plessers and could not believe the package deal they were offering. I contacted Stephen Rehn at Plessers, who was very honest and helpful via email and telephone. I could not believe the overall savings I received. Stephen was very upfront and straightforward, he gave me a precise breakdown of all costs. Stephen also provided me with rebates from LG, Plessers and Neco which totaled several hundred $$$. Even more noteworthy is the number of times we had to change shipment due to delays in our kitchen remodel permit and engineering process. Through it all, Stephen helped us out immensely. I DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OTHER RETAIL COMPANY WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO FOR US WHAT STEPHEN WAS ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH. TO PUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE, I JUST RECEIVED MY REBATES!!! Great price but so far their customer service is surprisingly poor. They didn't send me a manual for my Fridge, and the Rep offered no apology but instead acted like it's between me and the manuafacturer. She offered an electronic manual but I explained I didn't want to print 47 pages. She just kept repeating (with a whole lot of attitude) that I had to contact the manufacturer. I went to Plessers to get a dishwasher. The salesman was great and accommodating. I placed the order, he verified they were out of stock and would be in next week. Time was of the essence since I was Having company from out of town the following week. I was assured I would have it in time. I called the Friday before my expected delivery to confirm and was told it would not be in till at least the following week. After leaving a message for the manager and not getting a call back, I called back, was on hold for a while but finally spoke to a manager. I did get a full refund, but I wasted a lot time. It baffles me when a business has so many hot and a chunk of not so hot reviews - but I never saw any of the issues that other people have complained about. Sometimes I think that people who complain about "surprises" did not have a good understanding of the process. Just a supposition, on my part. Anyway, the price was terrific. The ordering process was on-line and quickly followed up with a live telephone call. I am out of state - and the shipping was never an issue. And the 3rd party delivery contractor was awesome. I honestly can not find anything to complain about. If I do, down the line, I know I can and will check in and update Yelp, but I am betting that will not happen. NOT REPUTABLE. 1/10th of a star for price. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Pros: cheaper prices and free delivery. Cons: everything else. You need to pay extra if you want to have them deliver to your front steps ($100 for fridge). Then you have to pay even more if you want them to install (apparently $50 for them to hook up the water line... Which was to just take pliers and twist. Took me one minute to do and that included me getting the tools from the tool box.). God forbid if something goes wrong. If you want to exchange, you have to pay for full shipping (no free delivery) plus the extra for them to bring the appliance to your doorstep. If you want to return, you pay restocking fees in the hundreds. My experience on behalf of my mom: okay, first off, my mother's English is pretty decent but sometimes she needs you to explain things over again since English is her second language. The sales person, Jennifer did not want to give my mom the time of day. Then she receives an email from someone else who is of Asian decent about changing her shipping and Jennifer emails my mom, forwarding the email and saying, "You're changing your mind again?" (Direct quote). After I helped my mom write a kind response email, we heard nothing back, not even an apology. Maria, the supervisor was better and tried to help us a bit more. For the first fridge, we had to keep contacting Plesser to find out the delivery date that kept changing. When we received fridge, it did not fit through our doorway. The delivery guy just wanted to get out. Did not even care that the fridge needed to be returned. The whole exchange process was terrible. Jennifer never called to discuss the exchange despite assurances that she would be helping us choose a fridge of the correct size. Never mind that she did not help to begin with. Personally, I feel that Plesser, being this is their specialty, should advise customers to measure the doorways since this is not uncommon in their line of work. That's something we would not usually think of since the prior fridges all fit. So second fridge arrives (paid delivery fee and gold delivery service to have them bring fridge into house... So another $250). They won't hook it up or install the handles. It took me literally one minute or less to hook up but the delivery guy rushed me into signing and then bailed. I should not have signed. He did tell me how to hook up the water line so that was a small plus. I get the delivery guy has a schedule, but seriously, make it a little more flexible for customer satisfaction. Oh, they were delivering to Northern Virginia and I guess Plesser uses a subcontractor. Also, when I asked Maria why we could not get free delivery with exchange, she said someone has to pay for the return of the first one. Since we are exchanging, they waive the restocking fee. Oh, and I asked for a different sales person, but apparently we were stuck with Jennifer. I do not recommend Plesser. I would pay the extra money for better service all around. This time we were purchasing all new appliances for our new kitchen. We visited various type & size of appliance retailers all over Long Island. We play 20 questions with everyone. We are always looking for the most bang for our buck. To be clear - this review is based on our experience so far - our appliances are months away from delivery - which works to our convenience. Hands down - Plessers in Babylon has been the most positive experience - The showroom is stunning - having recently been done over. There's someone directly at the entrance with a smile on & an always a pleasant greeting. They're most informative & helpful but also let you look around for yourselves. Some stores feel so restricted by hovering staff - who when asked really don't give much useful information - not the case at Plessers. This was our 3rd time meeting with Stephen Stica - he remembered us despite long periods of time between meetings. He gave us print outs of all the appliances we were interested in & could really tell us how different brands or even models within a brand compared. We scored great buy on a 4 piece Kitchenaid 36" stovetop, 5 drawer fridge, dishwasher & double 30" ovens. Afterwards, Stephen emailed all the information we'd need for rebates etc. As I said delivery & actual use are months away - but so far it's been a great buying experience. After a disappointing experience at Best Buy, I frantically searched for a place with the three appliances that were in stock and available for shipping. Enter Plessers. Though I live in Brooklyn now, I remember them from growing up in Suffolk County, so I gave them a call. Not only were they cheaper than anyone else and had all three pieces (fridge, range and micro) in stock, but with all the installs and removal they were easily $200 cheaper than Best Buy's sale prices. My refrigerator was dying so I needed a new fridge. My brother in law did the research and told me to use this place as he had ordered a fridge from them as well. I ordered a fridge. I called them for a delivery date. They deliver on Tuesdays and Thursdays only (for New York - not sure about other states). I picked Thursday and got a call the night before delivery to confirm delivery time. They gave a time window of 9 am to 12 pm. They got to my home at 8:45 am which it is great. Delivery guy noticed a small dent on the door of the fridge. He called the home office and informed them. The delivery team brought the installed fridge up to my apartment and were gone in 10 minutes. Lori at Plessers gave me the option on have a rep installing a new door or $100 check. I took the check option which I received in 2 wks. 2 times of note are : 1) when placing purchase order, if you need them to remove your old fridge, you need to mark your order to include recycle 2) after placing your order, you should call them after 5 business days if you have not heard from them. I would use them again in the future. read more

I purchased all my KitchenAide appliances for my new home. First of all, customer service was good when I was in the process of buying. The delivery and overall service after they charged my CC was horrible! The delivery company they used where non communicative AND no one ever answers their VM so trying to get someone to return your call and track your items are a pain. We also received a defective item and now Plesser's is refusing to exchange it or have it fixed. I called their customer service department and left messages and still no phone call back. It's been about a week of no response. My fridge is still broken. Even though I saved a little money, the frustration and jazz or of trying to fix a brand new appliances is not worth it. SAVE your time and effort and just buy local or from company that is reputable. NEVER Again will I use Plesser's. read more

The range top grilles were received damaged. However, a simple call to customer service and the very pleasant experience with Ms. Brianna Waszak solved our issue fast and without pain. It was a pleasant purchase experience. Studied all the reviews before I spoke to John D. on the phone a few times before I decided to purchase a $1750 range. He did work with me on the cost vs other online vendors. It was the most expensive purchase I ever made online, so I was a little worried about Plessers treating me right and about shipping a large expensive range from N. Y. to N. California without any damage. Patience paid off. With free shipping it took 9 days to travel across the country to my home. It arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I was a little dismayed that my Visa card was charged on the day I made the purchase rather than on the day it shipped 9 days later. Terrible experience with this place. I ordered a cooktop on a Thursday, and called one week after to check the status. The Customer Service told me it would be shipped on the following Monday via UPS and would send me the tracking number by then. I waited till Monday and nothing happened. I called on the next day (Tuesday), they told me the shipment has not left yet and it would be shipped on Thurs. I asked why it could not be shipped as scheduled. They said because they only have outbound truck on every Tuesday and Thursday. I questioned them why I was told the shipment would be shipped via UPS on Monday. The excuse they gave me was that the shipment is too big for UPS to handle thus it has to be shipped via a different carrier. The first time I ever heard that UPS cannot ship a 36" cooktop because it's too big. I asked for canceling the order as I don't how much more delay it could be. Then they told me there would be 15% cancellation fee charged if I chose to cancel. OMG, the product has not left their warehouse yet, and they already want to charge for cancellation. I'm totally disappointed. Will never order from this place again. It's a joke. read more

Truly the worst experience I have ever had with an appliance store. They act like they are some local business who care about customer service but as soon as they get the sale from you, there's zero communication. I made a $8K purchase through Peter. Peter never followed up with me when the last item in my order came in and I never heard from anyone at the store. I had to call them 3 times and spend valuable time waiting for someone to take the call just to get delivery scheduled. Then they said I would hear from someone about a delivery window the night before the delivery. Of course, this call never came. Now I have no ability to actually inspect the items upon delivery. I recommend using PC Richard or Appliance Connection, they have actual customer service and their sales people are way more knowledgable and thorough. read more

I originally had no intention of buying something like an appliance online, but the price and warranty was not even close to what I could get locally so I took a gamble. The experience was very good. I had looked at the model I wanted, to make sure it was what I wanted (I would always recommend this when possible) and it was received in perfect condition. I initially found Plessers on a google search for buying kitchen appliances. You see, my house burned down in 2016 and I am currently having my house rebuilt and I needed to purchase major appliances for the kitchen install. The builder suggested another supplier in the New York area. I compared their prices with Plessers and hands down Plessers had a better deal including FREE 10 year warranties. i bought a washer and dryer, dishwasher, wall oven and fridge for under 10k. I think I did pretty good. All that was missing was a microwave. I waited for the cabinet install to visualize a microwave in my new microwave cabinet and after reading reviews I chose a Sharp. I saw that Plessers had a comparable price for this plus FREE 10 year warranty. Well, I decided to purchase it but for some reason the order wouldn't go through on my smart phone. So, I left a message at about midnight and what do you know someone called me back in the am. I placed the order with a good customer discount applied (I think that's what it's called) and received an immediate confirmation vis email re sale. I did very well with a single appliance purchase from PLESSERS (an electrolux wine captain). The price was very good and delivery went smoothly with email updates leading up to delivery date. Before ordering online, they answered some product questions for me over the telephone. No funny business with the item once received (often a concern with any internet vendor when prices are so low). They followed up on telephone pitching an extended warranty which was not a hassle for me (decided to get a whole house policy from a third party instead). I recommend them. read more

It took 10 months, and Plessers would not take care of replacing the unit on their own, they kept differing to Electrolux. But they did stay on top of Electrolux until they finally replaced the unit. Electrolux also gave us a slightly more expensive unit. The delivery guys were great, and we are satisfied now with the refridge. I still would not recommend buying an Electrolux refrigerator, but at least Plessers has made this right. Remember, the refrigerator is the most used appliance in your kitchen. It can do significant damage if it fails (ruin all your food, leak water, ect..) Its also the most difficult to service or replace. It just doesnt make sense to get a bargain refrigerator if you are the home owner. Buy from a local store that will support your purchase beyond the manufacturer. Plessers wont do that. We are very satisfied with the other $11K worth of appliances Plessers sold us. Original Review : Regarding the Electrolux IQ-Touch Series EI28BS80KS French door full size stainless fridge they sold me in Jan 2014 : This has been a very very bad experience for us with Plessers. We have a complete lemon with this refridge, bought from Plessers in Jan 2014 for more than $2K (total spent with plessers was over $11,000). Where should I begin with this ? The stainless finish is nice and the LED lighting is also quite nice. Its plenty big and the refrig section seems to work fine. Its the freezer where the 1st issue started. The drawer is absolute garbage. The slide mechanism is all Chinese plastic and wouldnt be suitable for your kids legos toys. Load it with ice cream and a few more pounds of stuff you would think you put in the freezer and the slide wobbles badly side to side and easily becomes misaligned. Let even 1 single ice cub fall onto the floor of the fridge and it will not allow the door to shut. Its very very easy to "almost' close this freezer. Almost isnt @##@$ good enough, is it, Electrolux ?? Plessers ?? You sold it, you need to make this right !! I never leave bad reviews but this has me so pissed. When I ordered from Plessers (who recommended this POS) I specifically asked if it had a freezer alarm. I was told YES. WRONG ! There is no freezer alarm, you can "almost" close the freezer for days and there will be NO ALARM. This will ruin a few hundred dollars worth of steaks/lobsters - ask me how I know. Did Plessers care one bit ? Nope! They simply called the local repair center who cleared the jam and reinstalled the flimsy sh!T door track and left. Guess what ? An hour after the tech left same problem. YOU Cant FIX SH!T. 2nd issue - the compressor buzzes so loud you can hear it outside. Its red hot to touch - probably fried because the freezer wont close. 3rd issue - the level feet in the front broke off because they are also cheap SH!T made in China. . Ive been on the phone with Plessers and the repair shops more times than I have time to spend. Plessers WILL NOT MAKE THIS RIGHT. I WANT A DIFFERENT FRIDGE SHIPPED HERE RIGHT NOW. I would highly NOT NOT NOT RECOMMEND THIS REFRIDGE OR DEALING WITH PLESSERS AT ALL. If they finally make this right, I will revise this rating to reflect JUST the refridge being horrible. I got a fridge and a dishwasher from Plesser's at a price impossible to beat. The ordering process was fast and easy. The delivery took good 6 weeks being the main reason for the delay the fact that they did not have in stock the fridge I ordered. Once they got both of my items, they have them delivered in California a couple of weeks later. AM Deliveries called me in advance to set the time for the delivery. The deilivery guys were very helpful (I knew that they were not supposed to install or take away the packaging so no grudges). When we open the package we found that the fridge had a few dings on the side and a ding on the front door must possibly due to the poor original packagig from Samsung. The delivery guys call customer service at Plessers right there and put me on the phone with Maria Aparacio. I let her know of the issue and she worked out a deal for me to compensate for the cosmetic damage (3 years extended warranty and some cash back) and at the end at received the fridge. If you plan your buy ahead and you have 6 weeks to wait for your items, their prices and services are great. If you don't have the time I'd suggest to look somewhere else. read more

Wow! Not only did I save big buck on my appliances, the delivery and service followup were incredible. More than I would have expected when shopping online. Karin Straker worked with me on a "ding" that went undetected at the initial delivery. She followed up with the manufacturer and kept on top of the issue for several weeks to make sure it got resolved. I will definitely refer others to Plessers AND do more shopping there myself. I had an excellent experience with my recent purchase from Plessers. I started browsing their website and comparing prices with other similar online retailers, as well as local appliance stores. There were a few items not available online, so I called the store and spoke with Stephen. Stephen was very helpful and knowledgable, he knew each model before I finished the model number. He also knew which rebates were available on similar models. He helped guide me through a few items where I was flexible on the specific model to get me the best overall deal for me. I purchased $10,000 worth of appliances for an all-new kitchen. Plessers matched or beat the price on every item on my list, plus found some additional rebates that I wasn't aware of before. Stephen helped save me thousands of dollars versus using a local appliance store. He was also much more responsive than any of the local stores I had tried to use. I had a lot of lead time as my kitchen had just started construction. I did receive an email a week or two after the initial order saying that one item had been delayed. Though I was initially concerned, I received a call from Plessers well ahead of the scheduled late delivery time saying that all my appliances were ready for delivery. Since I still wasn't ready to take delivery, they held the items and worked with me to help me schedule a delivery time that worked best for me. Being in Virginia, they contracted with a separate shipping company to accommodate delivery. The delivery contacted me just when Plessers said they would. They scheduled a reasonable delivery window, called me 30-minutes out, and showed up on time. The guys were friendly and fast, bringing in all the appliances.
