I've lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for 15 years, and every time I drive down to Chicago, I make sure to stop at Plia's Kitchen because it never disappoints. Their pho has been consistently excellent over the years, with a rich, flavorful broth and fresh, high-quality ingredients. I've also enjoyed their tri-color tapioca drink and Thai coffee, both of which are consistently well-made and delicious. On my most recent visit, I decided to try the Pad See Ew. The flavor was very good, and although the rice noodles were thinner than the traditional wide ones used in Thailand, the dish had a satisfying wok-hot aroma that brought out the stir-fry's depth. You order and pay at the counter first, and the food usually arrives within 5 to 10 minutes. The service is always friendly and efficient. The vibe is also really nice, i.e., clean, simple, and relaxed, which makes the whole dining experience feel comfortable and welcoming. Plia's Kitchen remains one of my favorite stops whenever I'm heading to or from Chicago.

Both of these dishes were brimming with delightful flavors, requiring no additional ingredients to enhance its taste! I have visited numerous restaurants in the greenbay vicinity, and only a few can rival this exceptional establishment! I will be back!

Drunken noodles

I tried the drunken noodles and they were great. We also tried the curry, pad se ew, stuffed chicken wing and egg roll. All were exactly what we were expecting (10/10). Will definitely be coming back here to try other things. The service was also great and staff were lovely.

A bit of a hole at the end of a strip mall. Guy at the counter was friendly but food was just ok. Place was a tad stinky as well. Won't go back.

We stopped at Plias Kitchen for dinner tonight because we are down in the Green Bay area making a pick up at Menards. And within 30 minutes we got a phone call saying our food was ready. We ordered one Platter of chicken pad Thai And another platter with chicken drunken noodles. Because we love spicy Thai food, we requested it to be extra hot and they sure delivered on our request! The food was excellent and the drunken noodles appear to have been handmade noodles which was even better. There is an awesome assortment of Thai condiments at each table. The food was excellent Li prepared to order and I wouldn't change anything about the ingredients or preparation it was perfect. The food was excellent Li prepared to order and I wouldn't change anything about the ingredients or preparation, it was perfect! All in all it was a positive experience and the only reason I'm not giving them a perfect 5 stars is because of the long wait time and the very cramped dining area. With food like that and customers waiting to order and patronize the restaurant, I would hope that there's a planned expansion in their near future. We will be back!

I drive out of my way for this place often thanks to a friend who introduced me to it. I have not had a bad meal yet - everything from stuffed chicken wings to egg rolls, spring rolls, pho, curries - so yummy! Service is always decent too - I have eaten in and taken out too. This place is always busy no matter what time of day. I love that they open at 10 am but wish they were open on Sundays.

Very tasty, friendly and quick! Best stuffed chicken wings I've eaten! This is a restaurant we go back to regularly.

Pho was bland but ragoons were good. I should have gone with the pad thai. The Thai iced tea was good. Everything on the table was sticky.

I love getting Plias for take-out on a Friday night. The basil fried rice and pad thai are the best in town.

Even though the place was small... The food was very nice and awesome... Don't fail to try the tapioca drink which is 100% homemade.

Start out by having to chase the bartender down for a drink and to order, but hey...it's a Packer home weekend so I'm understanding. We ordered our wings "extra crispy" with 5 different types of sauces. I had a hunch when I placed the order that the bartender was like "yeah...ok.." to my crispy wing preference but figured since all they do is wings, they got this, right?! Wrong. Wings came out rubbery and gelatinous like I despise and the ranch/blue cheese would've been better at a 7-11. Since I was hungry and there was nobody who checked back anyways, I ate a few and I'm sure the rest will taste much better after I crisp them up in the air fryer. I paid my bill and the waitress asked "how was everything?" To which I responded "not very good" (which I NEVER DO" because I'm not a picky eater. She turned around and walked away without a word. Cool. Thanks. In summary, go to The Bar, make them at home, but don't waste your $ here. Can't believe they have such a cult following.

Came here with family for dinner before a concert and left with pretty mixed feelings…read more The restaurant wasn't very busy, and we were seated immediately. We chose the patio, which ended up being one of the highlights of the visit. It was clean, comfortable, and well shaded, with a few yard games available that gave the space a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Service started off decent but unfortunately declined as the evening went on. Food took an unusually long time to come out, and to the server's credit, she recognized the delay before we even brought it up. She apologized and mentioned that a manager would be stopping by to speak with us. Unfortunately, that never happened, and service continued to deteriorate from there. We started with the nachos and cheese curds. The cheese curds were actually quite good. Crispy, flavorful, and probably one of the stronger items we had. The nachos were decent, though nothing particularly memorable. As for the BBQ, it was unfortunately pretty underwhelming. Especially considering BBQ pricing tends to come with expectations around quality and portion value. The ribs were the biggest disappointment. They were so dry they were nearly inedible, with meat crumbling apart from being overcooked. No amount of sauce could bring them back. The jalapeño cheddar sausage had a good texture, but flavor wise it was just okay and leaned overly salty without much depth. My side salad was forgotten entirely, and the cornbread, while having decent flavor, was very dry. The burnt ends also missed the mark. Rather than having the bark and caramelized texture you typically expect, they appeared to be stewed in BBQ sauce, leaving them mushy and overly sauced instead of smoky and textured. One bright spot was the BBQ sauce selection. There were several options, and they were tasty with enough variety to complement different meats. Overall, this feels like a place with good potential and a really pleasant setup, particularly the patio. I'm not sure if we caught them on an off night, but between the slow service and inconsistent food execution, the experience didn't live up to expectations. That said, I'd consider giving it another try in the future because the foundation is there.

Picked up some food here on a Sat and although service seemed great the food was quite mid &…read moreoverpriced. Here's what I got: Armadillo eggs: 4.2/10 - really disappointed in these, dry & flavorless coating, and not much flavor on the inside, brisket was bland and there was no flavor burst from biting in. Barely tasted the cream cheese. Came on a good bed of onion strings though. Sat Dino Rib: 7.3/10 -- Really cool they do these on Saturday's and although they look awesome you'd expect better fat rendering/melting for the time cook. Wasn't fall off the bone but decent tenderness. Flavor wise good pairing with their sauces but not really worth the price. Wings (nashville): 8.1/10 -- probably best thing they have, texture & size are great. Got some spicy garlic sauce on side, that flavor is probably the best. The nashville rub is also good but could have more flavor. Mac & Cheese: 7.6/10 -- creamy & solid but nothing out of ordinary for Wisco. Good mac. Coleslaw: 7.8/10 -- Good creamy texture, pretty good slaw, on the sweeter side. Sauces: 8.2/10 -- I really liked their sauces actually, spicy garlic, mustard & pjs were my favorite, made the whole experience a lot better. Their cayenne ranch is great too. Cornbread: 7.5/10 -- solid taste but a little too crumbly. One dino rib, 2 sides, 6 wings and armadillo eggs ran me $60. Even in most major cities I've gotten far better bang for my buck on BBQ.
