12/13/24: Went with my wife for dinner and we sat at the bar. We had been meaning to check this place out. The wings were good as well as the ranch dressing. The draft beer was very cold. The restaurant was busy, but our order didn't take long to come out. Our orders arrived piping hot! The staff who brought out our food were very friendly and made sure that our orders were accurate. There were plenty of TV's throughout. Parking is plentiful. Would definitely come back! read more

Pluckers is by far my favorite sports bar/spot for wings! I love their lifetime membership perks which gives you a free app every time you dine in and free birthday meals! They also have a great menu and a huge selection of wing flavors (~30 flavors), drinks, apps etc. The sporty ambiance is amazing, there's tvs literally everywhere and the service especially at this location is top notch. They have weekly trivia which is fun for big groups and special events for draft nights, mothers/fathers day etc. I've been here too many times to count and can't think of a time I wasn't satisfied! read more

Wow how this once amazing place has fallen. My family and I have dined at Pluckers countless times since my last review wayyy back in 2012, which was full of praise, but honestly since Covid this place has gone way, way downhill. I attributed the decline in food/service specifically to Covid considering how it affected all businesses. Well, Covid is long gone and so is the superb service and sadly the quality of their food. Let's begin on their once famous (in my eyes) fried pickles which were just horrible. There was hardly any breading (they were basically just wobbly hot pickles), the spears were oddly skinny, and it was just embarrassing they would even send them out like that and think it was ok. We sent them back and still got semi descent ones. Whatever. Drinks - I guess they added frozen margaritas to their menu which I thought was great until it came out. It was basically a "shot" of barely frozen slushy MEH. The wings were still tasty but have also gotten much smaller from what they used to be. Then (and thank goodness it was free) the fried Oreos for dessert. Between those, the fried pickles, and the wings, it just tasted as if they hadn't changed out their oil in quite a while or they were leaving them in too long but either way those were also a flop. Lastly, the service. Our server came across as just indifferent and just going through the motions. He did apologize for the long wait times on everything, citing that they were understaffed. He wasn't rude or outright unpleasant, but it was clear he was burned out and just over it. The servers we had prior to this visit (trust me it will be our last) were slow, forgot about us, were unapologetic about it and messed up simple orders. This is the 3rd location that I've dined at and it ranks at the bottom. I'll start with the highlights that positively contributed to my visit. On a Sunday afternoon during football season we were seated immediately. I was prepared to wait as I know how game days can be but surprisingly that wasn't the case here. The dining room was full with all games being streamed. Finn was amazing! Hands down some of the best service I've received lately. She was attentive, accommodating, and friendly. The not so hot part of my visit was the food. In comparison to the other locations I do feel I should've ordered my wings crispy. They weren't to my liking but I did not make that assumption as my previous experiences were spot on. I'll take into consideration that maybe it was due to the high volume of orders. Waited 20 minutes after being seated for the server to take a drink order because she was in the bathroom. There should be more than one server in a restaurant this size (and there are several, but no one batted an eye at customers twiddling their thumbs at an empty table for 20 minutes). Don't expect to casually eat an appetizer while waiting for your main course, because the appetizer will come after the meal has been served. We didn't have time to finish ours, because the server was rushing us out as soon as we paid the tab. Server didn't deliver my beer (or even a water) until halfway through the meal, and didn't even put in my order for a second before tabbing us out. Server cleared my remaining wings while I was escorting my son to the bathroom, so I didn't even get the meal I paid for. In normal course some mistakes can happen, so one of these things can be reasonably expected, but not all of them. Worst service ever. We love the other locations, but the sub-par score for this location speaks for itself. read more

Today is the first time in a while we come back to the Plano location. We used to come here but the wait times for getting our food or even getting greeted always took forever whether it was a party of 3 or our family table of 14 so we quit coming to Plano and just went to Allen instead. This time, James was our server for my husband and I with our 11 month old son. James was very attentive, offered to recommend items and did so in a very professional way. I mean I'm a bartender/server and I've never asked questions the way he did! He was very friendly, attentive and just a great server overall! His attitude makes a big difference! He said it wasn't a great day for him today yet I would've never known had he not told us! If we come back to Plano, we'll be sure to ask for James! I love Pluckers and will always enjoy going to their locations in San Antonio and Austin, but this Plano location has been absolutely terrible and I'm not coming back. My girlfriend and I order the Buffalo Bites entrees pretty regularly and get takeout, but almost every single time they give us barely any food at all. On their menu they claim to give 12oz of chicken but I've started using a food scale to weigh out how much chicken I get after so many instances of getting only 4-5 bites of chicken. A few orders ago when this happened I contacted the manager because I only received 5.9oz of chicken and they claimed to be sending me a gift card to make up for the bad portion size but several months later it has never arrived. This food is way too expensive to not even get what I pay for. Most recently they gave me 8.9oz(includes styrofoam box) of chicken which is at least 3oz under what I was supposed to receive. Just ridiculous portion sizing, and I've called numerous times about this problem at this location but it keeps happening and they don't seem to care. Not going back to this location. The dine-in service is about standard, usually with takeout the hosts are rushed and seem to be in a hurry. Ambience of restaurant is good for a sports bar setting, plenty of TV's showing everything you could want to watch. read more
