Came here with a group, and we got 2 tables in the back section - our server was rather attentive, and the drinks here are strong! The beer-Rita and Texas mule are my personal favorites. I would also recommend the nachos over the burger, as the carnitas and guac are tastier. Just as an fyi, they only take reservations for groups of 15 or more.

First time here and was okay, but nothing great. Beer comes in these large goblets so are hard to hold and too slippery on warm days. But beer did come out after 20 seconds of ordering it. Nachos were so filling and each chip is loaded with brisket and cheese. Came with generous sides of guacamole, sour cream, and pico. Definitely worth the price. Atmosphere was comfortable with so many trees and fans that we weren't even sweating on this hot day. Tables are far enough spaced where I felt like I wasn't eavesdropping. My main reason for wanting to try this place was so I could see cute dogs, but despite the place being busy, only saw two dogs. Probably won't be back by my choice but wasn't a bad experience by any means.

food was horrible. I was so excited to try this place. i live 5 mins away. the food was soggy, cold, hard, and rushed. We didn't even eat it we throw it away.

Visited this location of Katy trail ice house for the first time in Plano, TX felt very similar to the Katy trail ice house in uptown. Upon arrival they took us to a small table away from TV and the crowd however we asked if we could be moved to a table more centered close to a TV as there was a football game going on and we were able to move. We ordered the cheese fries with everything on it which is one of personal favorites and two summer beers again another favorite of mine. The ambience of the place was cool and I was surprised to see how massive this establishment was offering many seating options. I believe the service could have been a bit better as it took some time to receive our food however overall very cool place and very dog friendly location.

We wanted a place for a snack and to wind down. This place has a really cool vibe once you actually find the entry. They are doing renovations which look like will make the place even better. The venison chili was excellent. Seriously so good. And no beans, which is awesome!! The chili comes with fritos which was a nice surprise. The loaded fries were disappointing. The amount of toppings was very generous. So they looked promising. Unfortunately the fries were soggy and tasted like old grease.

I have been 100 times but can't recall seeing any dogs. It it pet friendly?

I personally have seen dogs in the beer garden.

So is this location anywhere near the Katy Trail, or is it in name only? I was thinking if this is at the north end somehow, that would make for a pretty good bike ride.

not this location - this one is around preston on park (in plano)

I really enjoyed the American cuisine here--great food and a nice atmosphere overall…read more I ordered the French onion soup and the Reuben eggrolls. The French onion soup seems to be popular here, and as soon as I saw that buttery-looking pastry puff baked on top, I knew I had to order it! It was definitely hearty, with plenty of onions (which I love). However, it was a bit saltier than I prefer. I do wish there were an option to substitute the onion soup with a chowder, like clam or corn chowder. The Reuben eggrolls were surprisingly good! I'm used to traditional Asian eggrolls, so I really liked this creative twist. The house-smoked pastrami, sauerkraut, and melted Gruyère cheese worked so well together. They tasted amazing with the spicy Russian dipping sauce (which I appreciated wasn't too spicy). It was such a flavorful and memorable dish! I'm glad I gave it a try.

I ordered the turkey burger along with sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, I was brought regular fries instead, and neither the fries nor the burger really matched my personal taste preferences. That said, food is subjective, and what didn't work for me may be exactly what someone else enjoys. The service was okay overall, and one thing I did appreciate was seeing people genuinely interacting and talking with each other. In a world where everyone is often glued to their phones, it was nice to see a place that seemed to encourage conversation and connection. While my meal wasn't a favorite, I can understand why this place attracts a crowd. I'd still recommend giving it a try and deciding for yourself, especially if you're looking for a casual burger spot with a busy, social atmosphere.

My double cheeseburger emphasized the meat, well seasoned, right amount of pickles & greens, not overwhelmed with sauce. The tallow fries were as good as it ever gets: crispy, soft inside, must be 2x fried. Outside square had great World Cup fan area. We watched Colombia vs Uzbekistan. My team Croatia lost to England previously, but Haywire soothed my disappointment with an excellent dining experience. BTW: $638.04 with a 20% tip. Great value. It was our first time, so we went for the Classic Rossa pizza. The pretzel was great and the salad was very large and delicious. Additionally, I am not much of a thin-crust person, but the crust stayed very crispy despite the soggy toppings. I think when I return, I will get a pizza with less wet toppings. The service was outstanding, I think the general manager was our waiter for some time, and she even got us a free order of queso because it was our first time dining with them.
