My water heater pilot light won't stay lit on 12/24/2014 and had no hot water in the house. I had family members coming over to stay the night for Christmas and I was expecting around 40+ family members on Christmas day. I called Tony, because I used them a month ago to fix my water pressure, and asked if he can fix the water heater. Now this was around 2pm on Christmas Eve. Had a leak in the main line coming from the street. Our neighbor did a quick patch so we weren't gushing water, and we called a couple plumbers to get estimates. Three different companies came out. We got an estimate from one. It was really high, so I called three more plumbers. They all came out and I got an estimate from only one, again. Geez. These guys are the BEST!!! Our kitchen faucet started leaking water put of the base and started to drip under the sink. Thought we had a leak of one of the hoses or damaged faucet that need to be replaced. Left a message on yelp and Tony told us to call him at 10pm on a Thurs night. When I called him, he asked me to describe where the water was leaking so I sent him a pic of my kitchen faucet circling the picture where the water came out of. He immediately called me back and asked me if it was a pull down faucet. I told him yes and he told me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. he even stayed on the phone with me while I tried what he said and it worked. Leak was gone. All this done over the phone. Tony knows exactly what he is doing from all the years of experience. And what a completely honest guy. Before I called Plumbing Boys I called 4 different plumbing companies for my drainage. All companies told me it will take 3 days to change my house pipeline and gave me a price like $10,000 and more. then one of my friends gave me Pluming Boys number and told me to call them.They have the best prices in town. So I gave them a call and they came as soon as possible. At first they did a camera inspection of my pipe line, then he told me that I don't need to change all my pipeline. He told me I just need to change only 3 feet damage part of the pipeline where they found tree roots. after this he gave me the best price and fixed it in 4 to 5 hours. The Gas Company surprised us with notice we had a small gas leak and shut off our gas until we could repair. No hot water until we could get this repaired, so a bit of an emergency to say the least! The leak was small enough that the sniff equipment could not detect, so only solution was to install a new 125' line with a circuitous route and abandon the old. Gary came out after I had received a very high bid from another plumber and gave me a much better price and was more creative about determining a less invasion routing of the piping. Started work the next morning and got it done in two days which required they work into the night on the second day so we could get hot water in the house asap. Pressure test was successful first time and I had gas flowing two days after they started. Price stayed true to the quote in spite of some difficulties with my particular installation. I found Plumbing Boys on Yelp and saw that there were over 100 reviews with an average 5-star avg rating so I decided to give them a try. I called and spoke to Tony and asked to have him fix a valve stem that was causing my shower to leak. He did a fantastic job and was courteous, professional, and fast! He and his partner even took their shoes off before coming into the house and I didn't even have to ask. His price was more than fair and was definitely cheaper than what other plumbers would charge (I previously had the valve stem changed for my other bathroom with a different plumber who charged more and took three times as long...). Tony also changed my shower head and snaked my shower drain for no extra cost!! I was completely blown away. It's very hard to find a good honest plumber and I am happy to say that all the reviews here on Yelp about Tony and his company are legit. Based on all the great reviews here, I called Plumbing Boys because we had a leaking shower faucet and a leaking bath tub faucet, and I wanted to update the trim handles on both as well. I spoke with Tony and explained our situation. Both faucets are 30 years old and was concerned I would need to replace the valves too. Tony asked that I send him photos of both faucets, I did and he immediately responded that he was familiar each faucet and they were discontinued but he had the parts to replace them. Tony and his assistant showed up on time and they were professional and fast. Upon turning off our water he noticed that our pressure regulator needed to be replaced... (This explained the knocking pipes when we turn on and off the faucets.) For our shower in our master bathroom, they rebuilt the whole valve + new trim. For our upstairs bathroom, the valves were too old but they replaced the rubber seals, at no charge, and stopped the leak. They were able to do all 3 jobs in an hour for a reasonable price. After having a great first experience with Plumbing Boys, I called again when our shower drain clogged. I tried some drano and the short snake that we had with no luck. I called Tony and he was able to send out technicians the same day even though it was late in the afternoon when I called. They were at my house within an hour of my initial call. Well in the short time we were waiting for them to arrive the drano must of finally broken up the clog. When they went in to assess the situation everything was draining totally fine. I felt so badly that they drove out at the end of their day for what ended up being nothing. Both technicians were so nice about it and didn't make me feel bad about it at all. I asked what the charge was for coming out and they said not to worry about it and didn't charge us anything.
