Not wanting to lose the sale, I reached out to Ugly Ductling based on their stellar reviews and quick response rate. Literally within 2 minutes of me reaching out via Yelp for a quote, the owner Karl got back to me with pricing, a detailed explanation of their process, and was even able to work around my schedule to get the job done around some other work that was happening in the house. The team that did the work was amazing, specifically their lead technician Chris. He explained everything that they would be doing that day to clean and sanitize the vents, and was so personable, professional, and respectful throughout the whole process. By far the best experience I've had with a contractor... Every business on Yelp could take notes on how to treat their customers like Ugly Ductling. Highly recommended!

The employee tried to resolve the issue, but the owner did not care. We asked for insurance and he would not give it. We contacted the BBB to help with the issue and Ugly Ductling did not respond to them. In order for the place to be in living condition again we had to hire a professional cleaning service. That cost an additional 5k. This company does not care about customers at all. It's a quick in and out job to them. I highly recommend never using them.

Theyre the real deal and true craftsmen of vent cleaning. I called them up based on all the positive reviews and they did not disappoint. Worked with me on my tight move-in schedule and came right within the window of time promised. Documented with a snake scope how dirty each vent/duct were before and how clean they were after. Kept my whole house clean during and after the cleaning. HEPA vacuum unit was outside pulling negative pressure to keep the indoors free of dust. Explained everything thoroughly. Price was not cheap but quite reasonable for how thorough they cleaned (about $600 for my split level 3b/3b and 130 for dryer vent) and final price was in the quoted range with no up-sell or any last minute increases. Honest guys. Air ducts, returns, dryer vent all cleaned. Even checked my blower and told me it didn't really need to be cleaned. My vents took extra time and they stayed late until the job was done. DId a nice job patching the access to the vent. Even found issues during the cleaning that didn't involve the HVAC. I would recommend these guys again and again to anyone who is moving into a new house or apartment, or hasn't had their ducts cleaned and has allergies or is sensitive to air quality. Day of they were on time, friendly, communicative, able to work with me to keep my cats safe yet out of the way, and my vents are now so clean. I greatly appreciated this communication and that I always felt in the loop! I especially appreciated getting an alert a half hour before the cleaners arrived so that I was ready. They helped me get everything ready for the cleaning, get the cats put in a secluded space, and got me setup outside for a work call. He was able to come the same day to fix the vent. From beginning to end they were very professional, personable, neat and efficient. Art showed me the blanket of lint inside my dryer and the poor dead bird that apparently had gotten stuck in the duct. Jonathan was the field service tech and he carefully worked with each duct and had vacuumed each house section he worked in. He showed us photos of each duct before and after. He covered our stored goods in the basement that he had to work around. He carefully resealed all the holes in the ducts until future cleaning visits.
